Cash payment only! Udon noodles are great, been here a number of times. I’d come back! Kimchi is great. Will review again when I return for BBQ.

This was my third time visiting Miss Korea with my family. During my last visit, I had a positive experience with the food service, and everything was satisfactory. However, this time, I was deeply disappointed. My 10-year-old niece was particularly affected, as this is her favorite restaurant. I am uncertain whether there has been a change in the chef or the recipe, but it is evident that the quality has significantly declined.

I have eaten in quite a few Korean restaurants however the food here was somewhat lacking in taste. Food portions a decent size and price reasonable but unfortunately would not return.

Me and my friend came here yesterday. We were seated straight away and the service for food was fast and polite. We ordered kimchi, seaweed and beef soup and seafood udon ramen. Everything was great, my only complaint being that the seafood ramen was lacking in seafood, two prawns, one mussel and two pieces of squid. I would have liked to see more seafood and less vegetables, as at first we mistook it for vegetable ramen. The prices are reasonable though and drinks are cheap. Service for the bill was non existent so we had to go to the bar to pay after waiting some time. They only accept cash here but they can do bank transfers so be prepared before you go. The food was tasty and we left full.

I went in on 26/06/2024 - ordered a meal that i had a issue with - told the waiter and waitress (the chinese woman and chinese man) and they said theyll tell chef - after that no response, so i asked em again and they said they told the chef, so i asked them what are they going to do to sort my issue and they said they sorted it by telling chef??😂😂😂 dumbest and worst service ive ever had in my life STAY AWAY

Ordered delivery. All rice dishes were dry, definitely not enough of sauce. Tofu was disgusting and completely flavourless. Photos were different than the actual dishes (e.g. salmon in the photo was not coated, but it was coated when received). Egg on kimchi rice was broken and overcooked. Otherwise, the runny yolk could have helped with moisture on rice, which were also dry. Definitely not worth the full price so good thing I’ve ordered it with Uber eats 40% discount at least.

Brilliant Korean BBQ, Cash only!

It was lovely. The staff was really nice and friendly. She was constantly checking in to be sure that we were comfortable. The food was also great but they only accept cash or transfers. No card payments.

Love this restaurant. I've visited multiple times and the service has always been 10/10. Their Fried chicken is one of the best things on the menu.

Service here is amazing. The food gets to you quickly even if they’re really busy. Would highly recommend.

Food was not bad - all of them came hot and sizzling. Fried chicken was nice, just a bit too spicy given it should be sweet spicy. It was busy on a Friday evening but there were only 2 staff on the floor, you can tell they’re trying their best as they were nearly running around. Good service from the waitress and she was apologetic about the wait, but would be better if there’s more staff. Also only cash allowed, would have preferred to have the option to pay by card.

I had high hopes as it looks a nice place but my overall experience was not the best. When we first got there we felt ignored as some as we stepped in the place. Servers walking past us like we didn’t exists even the main person greeting people didn’t acknowledge us while we stood waiting so straight out the gate we felt a certain way. Once seated the menu was a bit overwhelming so it would have been nice for the waitress to go through it and make the service nicer but we felt like we had dived into the deep end and was struggling. So we ordered the most easiest thing we knew on the menu and to say it was pretty average was the best I could say about the food. Didn’t wow us or impressed by the flavours compared to other places in the city centre. Maybe it was an off day we don’t know but I won’t say it’s the worst but I would like to try again maybe sometime in the future but as a first time visit I was disappointed with the service and food.

i loved the service it was amazing and the food was amazing literally made me feel like i was back in korea and the seating was super comfortable would 1000% go back again the experience was too amazing!!

We are still waiting to be waited on. We already wrote a review. This is another because we are bored. They haven't even asked us what we want to drink. Will update if they ever come over

Great service. Great food. A lot of Halal options

The environment is good, comfortable and spacious. Food is not good as expected. Looks nice but doesn't taste very authentic. Staff is nice but they are always working in the reception so they can't see us calling them to come.

Friendly services from the South East Asian girl. The other girl was a bit errr less friendly. Went on new year day for my daughter’s birthday. Love the food. Their Fried Chicken is highly recommended. Affordable price too.

Beef quality is poor, l do not recommend their Korean BBQ. However, bibimbap, tofu soup, and fried chicken are not bad. Service is okay and the price is fair.

Quite hard to find K-bbq in Birmingham. This one doing quite well. Just don’t forget to bring cash with you😂

Very tasty food, and good portions. Have been for lunch a couple of times, it's very quiet at lunch time. I've heard it gets very busy in the evenings.

Late on a Friday evening. Was very quiet. The staff we had were lovely and very attentive. The food was ok, it was late so we think the food has been sitting there a while. Shocked at treatment of staff! The service charge does not go to waiting staff but the owner keeps it! They do bank transfer but if it doesn’t go through the owner makes the waiting staff pay for it! Dude get a card machine, stop being so tight.

Really tasty and reasonably priced food, lovely settings and very polite staff. Chicken and lamb are halal so lots of options. Cash or bank transfer only, but there's a cash machine just outside.

I cant say enough about this restaurants quality of food, however their service is not good. They hire some people to work in there serving tables who you can definitely say dont have propper training and some of them also cant speak English. They constantly forget to bring fork or tissue or etc. But!!!!! The food is amazing and if i need to eat that with my own hands, i will do that. 😊

Nice Korean restaurant in the middle of China town serving amazing fried chicken among other things! Plenty of options in soju (definitely recommend the yoghurt flavour)!

Wonderful restaurant! Food was at a really good spice level, and staff were really kind and patient, especially Kitty! She was so engaging with us, and definitely stood out to my group. It’s generally awesome! Food comes out really quickly as well.

I hesitated coming here due to the reviews, we went on a Monday afternoon, the restaurant was empty! The dish I wanted was pork, they was completely fine with me asking to change it to beef. Polite waitress and a generous portion wouid I return? Maybe! Not My favourite but glad I've crossed it off my list of East Asian restaurants to try in Birmingham

I have been to this place many times only due to how amazing the food tastes..the service is quite frankly poor, they try and put service charge on the bill when both employees were on thier phones the entire time during a busy bank holiday weekend. They do not accept card and it was cash only which also was very annoying. There is a lot that could be improved but I'm assuming since people will still go there regardless I don't think anything will change

Started off with a dirty chopsticks and only got worse asked for some cheese to go with my tabboki as it lacked flavour and got lectured for 5 mins on how I couldn’t get it with no actual valid reason

We didn't enjoy the food much. It is not fresh and tasted plain. We ordered bbq pork belly, beef and chicken gizzard. They were kind of flavourless. The chicken gizzard tasted more like a Chinese dish rather than anything Korean style. We don't think it is an authentic Korean BBQ if you are looking for one. It is cash only or bank transfer. They also charge 10% of service charge. They didn't provide any receipt though. We were not comfortable when we did bank transfer. The service was not too bad. Staff were nice. Although we wish we could gone to another one.

Okay not gonna lie the food was spot on like really good the korean katsu curry was really nice and the fried chicken with sauces were great. The service was awful the lady tried charging me £1.50 extra per wing and i was like thats crazy the menu says £1.50 for the sauce extra not per wing and the atmoshphere wasnt great the ladies didnt know what they were doing and the ice lemon tea honestly just buy a lemon tea from china town because thats what it was nth made fresh or by themselves

The first time I tried Korean food and I liked it. It was very good although we didn't get the BQ. My friend said had tried better before. Good portions and prices. I liked the decoration) light and the tables were comfortable.

A good experience overall, food was good, service was quick and polite. Payment is cash only for some reason, but there is an ATM in the vicinity. Atmosphere a bit dull, but I guess it’s England so nothing new ☺️

Decent food, the Korean fried chicken is really good.

They have racist staff that will ignore people from other races. Highly unprofessional, rubbish service. They run for when their phones ring but take 20 minutes to go to clients that are patiently waiting as if we’ve done anything to them.

I have never ever tried Korean food before, nor have I ever been to Miss Korea. It was a birthday meal we came out for and the suggestion was made by my Mrs. I was a little sceptical about trying Korean food but I was proven wrong. The food was amazing, everything we ordered was full of flavour and packed the right amount of spice I was after. Portions wise it was perfect for the amount we paid. Food was served with no delay, staff were very attentive and helpful. The fried king prawns and the chicken was beautiful (sorry I don’t know exactly what the name of the chicken dish is). I’d definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family. Perfect place to dine in, as it’s in town centre. Will be retrieving again in the near future as I don’t live in Birmingham. Well done guys, you did a great job, see you soon

First time experience. Lunch with friends. It was very quiet. There was music but no warmth to the place. The food was ok but nothing that really stood out. Very limited options for vegetarians.

I entered this fine establishment on my 18th, so it was a special day and of course, I had high hopes. This Korean barbeque place did not disappoint, we got the mix beef and the spicy chicken. I'd recommend the spicy chicken. Although the chicken marinate itself was pretty bland, it was made up with by the sauce. The atmosphere and staff were absolutely brilliant on the night and catered to our ever need. To conclude, if you are looking for a one off with family, this place is for you. It is quite pricey, four servings of chicken and three servings of beef cost £100. But if you're coming here for a special occasion then it's great!

The food was ok, the service isn't very good. There was one lady behind the desk and one waitress for the restaurant. We tried the korean BBQ to celebrate a friends birthday - not sure what the other cooked dishes are like. The korean BBQ was different to what I've tried in the past - usually there is a hotplate and no paper - so the meat steamed and there was some BBQ flavour if you left it on the grill long enough.

This place has great food, really fast service, lovely workers and there's parking right across the road. The food comes out really quick and is always hot. There's too many great choices with the food. We've dined in and had takeout from this place, food is awesome every time.

Would like to say I understand it was a busy Saturday night and there were no available tables at the time but I was advised that it was going to be about an hours wait for a table and there were about two sets of people waiting before us so I asked if there was some sort of waitlist and it seemed like she didn’t want us to wait around and didn’t want people to be standing around which we didn’t mind to do. Didn’t feel welcoming at all and didn’t feel like she wanted our custom. I wouldn’t have asked to be put on a waitlist if I didn’t want to eat there. She kept giving me all sorts of reasons that made it seem like she just wanted us to leave. Surely if you didn’t want people standing around then you’ll create a waitlist for people so they can come back when there’s a table ready for them

It was a lovely experience trying the Korean BBQ and the bibimbap. The lady who served us (Hana) was very nice and deserves a pay rise as she made our experience a lot more enjoyable... I would definitely come again. Thank you Hana

We often eat outside however food in Miss Korea has been good but not the best but the worst part is the customer service. In one word, simply rude. The individual lady who sit at the till has been rude since we walked in. No greetings followed by the statement once we started approaching her " We charge 10% service fee and we are busy so decide what you want to eat and if you want to eat"with the surprise I just replied , hello as it should be the first word for greeting customer. We have been to Miss Korea before but everytime the service started deteriorating. The owner should please look into these. Sadly no more eating at Miss Korea for us and our frends and family .

Super underrated restaurant. Really good food. Specially recommend the korean fried chicken and the chicken bibimbap. The bbq was really good and a new experience for me. Staff were helpful with this and also friendly in general. Overall, a fantastic experience and would be my number 1 recommendation for Korean food in Birmingham.

Our second visit, both were good. Food was excellent (this time we had bbq of marinated chicken, thinly sliced beef and prawns, kimchi, seafood soup, kimchi pancake and a spicy noodle dish, fried dumpling)-all was delicious. Service was immediate and responsive to our needs even though it was super busy. One negative was that it is January and they didn't have any heating on! So it was pretty cold in there. We kept our coats on! Overall I think the low star rating is a bit low based on our experiences

Orders 2 mains, waiting for 1 hrs, the waitress don’t bother to give water table or just cutleries/napkins. Asked 3 times for our orders. I think they forget about it. Cash only.

Made us pay a service charge and said it's compulsory. They claimed they told us before we walked in but they never. Then made us pack our own takeaway and on to of that they only take cash

Customer Service was very poor. Staff got our order wrong and was apologetic but was unwilling to correct the order or compensate for the matter. Hygiene level was very poor as glasses and utensils were dirty despite asking staff for new clean ones. Service charge was forced upon us to pay as they claim is compulsory when taking payment but no knowledge was given or displayed of this throughout the entirety of the dine-in. Overall very poor experience and would not recommend.

Absolutely shocking costumer service. For a place that makes their guest pay 10% service charge, you would think the service would be better. Service so bad that it made the taste of the food sour. Shocked.

Good food, good portions great location. Lot’s of parking around. Prices are good. We didnd mind that it was cash only, although when you charge customers for 10% service charge you expect better service. Food amazing. Service could be improved. We were the only two customers in the restaurant but staff choose to clean while we were there, including the windows. Its not the best experience to be eating while smelling cleaning supplies and feel being sprayed on. There was no after care after also. Considering the restaurant was empty. But food is good.

We came here for my husbands birthday, the staff were so attentive and lovely, the food was fantastic. I would definitely recommend eating here. We will be back!

Been a few times without any problems but recently it seemed the food hygiene changed. I got gastroenteritis (extremely bad food poisoning) where I was left hospitalised. Thought it wasn't Miss Korea so tried it again recently and then my husband has been unwell and with food poisoning. It was the only place we went out for food this week.

So we came on a weekday afternoon, very peaceful and quiet . We had LA Galbi and Ox tongue BBQ and it was splendid! So tasty. The service by our waitress, Min, was exceptional- it was our first time experiencing KBBQ and she helped us a lot with it. Also very happy to hear that all the meat was Halal and they even had a certificate up near the entrance. (Although they did have pork dishes, they reassured us that they were being made in a separate kitchen).

This is a cash only establishment and you are only told that there is a 10% service charge when they seat you. The food was ok but you are mostly paying for the restaurant experience.

I went here for dinner with friends on a weekday evening. They only take cash which is a bit annoying, although there is a cashpoint nearby. There are good halal options and the food arrived pretty quickly. However, I would say that my bulgogi bimibap was not as flavourful nor the beef as well cooked compared to when I've had the dish previously. There was also no kimchi included and the amount of vegetables in the dish was lacking. The chicken gyoza were very nice but it would have been nice to have more dipping sauce, was only a small portion. The atmosphere was nice and it felt very relaxed which I enjoyed.

Not so local Korean BBQ meeting, but the fried vegetable is delicious. The sauce is Chinese one and not Korean.

Really enjoyed the food but we ordered wayyy to much! Seemed a little pricey for the cuts of meat we got but friendly staff and nice food meant we would definitely go there again

This restaurant is amazing, the food is good and consistent. I bring clients here because I know what to expect. The staff will treat you very well if you are friendly. The only down side is that then restaurant is cash only. Not really a big issue and typical for restaurants in China Town.

I am rating you 1 because you are cash only only restaurant and you have a very big restaurant. Even if you put a sign you have to inform customer every time. Second the sea food was not fresh the Salomon was having a mud water taste.The prawns also not fresh even if you have a sea food market 100 meters away from your restaurant. The condiments you put on the sea food was too much and it taste bad like sumac. Another thing we did not like is the sheet papers you put on the BBQ because you are lazy to clean. Another thing was the service, every table should contain at least one soy sauce , salt and pepper. Another thing is that the air inside is not properly ventilated and there is lots of smoke from burned BBQ. Shortly to say you have a lot to improve as a restaurant

Place is really good in terms of food, ambience and drink. They accept only cash. Only thing I feel is they need to work more on hospitality- with bad hosting overall experience goes to zero.

We had the most fantastic meal at Miss Korea. We didn't know what we were doing but we're given great explanation and guidance. The music was awesome. I've never heard of Korean rap before but now I'm a fan. Wow great playlist Arby. The evening was so relaxing, smooth and enjoyable. My 9 year old was so excited as we have never done this before. Definitely our favourite restaurant at the moment. We will be back and definitely want Arby's playlist.

Food is amazing and the service too. Everyone is super nice and welcoming. The place is well lit and clean. Definitely recommend if you’re in Birmingham!

Great Korean style fried chicken. Good service, the waitress is very considerate.

Would have rated less than one star if I could. The food was terrible and would not recommend to anyone. The bibimbap was full of rice with a small amount of the veg in the there and the sauce did not taste authentic. The seaweed soup also tasted outdated. When we were paying they told us we cannot use card and had to withdraw money from tesco around the corner. Overall, it was a terrible dining experience.

Food was really nice. Service was really good too. The concept of having the grill on the table in order to cook your food was cool. The fried chicken was nice as well as the teokbokki.the katsu chicken was really nice would deffo recommend.

Good place for a group lunch. The grill is not very big amd you may struggle with more than 2 people. Overall we were content and would return again. Please note this place accepts cash only but there is a Tesco ATM across the street.

Miss Korea is of one my favorite restaurants in Birmingham. I would always reco it to friends and families coming over. It’s just that, the last time we ate here, Me and my family experienced poor service from them. We haven’t even finished eating our dinner, they started to fix the plates and clean the tables already! We were still drinking and finishing our food, the attendant already started cleaning and clearing out the tables. We usually go to the counter to pay, and we were surprised that they handed the bill over our table. We felt like they are in a hurry for us to leave and they were trying to kick us out. I mean, The restaurant wasn’t even full at that time. We were only there for 1.5 hours. I mean, we finished the food, we paid £100 for it in cash because they ONLY accept cash btw, but it didn’t really matter coz I love the food there I don’t mind paying in cash. But their poor customer service and the way it made us feel, it’s just not right. Staff should really do something to improve their service.
