Great food. Fresh with lots of flavour.

Food is ok but I wouldn’t go here again ☹️

Had a really bad experience - we ordered Chicken and Lamb karhais and the waiter confirmed they make it Peshwari style. The actual karhai was just a mix of tomato paste and alot of spices with minimal karhai flavour or meat. Upon requesting to fix the karhai (as we ordered 4 karhais), they added more tomato paste and ginger on top which did not help. Even the manager on till was rude and claimed that this is how they do it, and everyone likes it - if we don’t like it its not their fault. I am usually fine with not getting a great taste but it gets worst when the staff and the management starts being rude rather than owning their mistakes - really bad customer service and would never visit again. Make sure you think twice before going!

Authentic experience. Lamb Karahi curry on point tasted very nice. Had now become my go to curry place in Birmingham. Dissapointed that they still sold Pepsi and didn't have alternatives (Barr etc) and it's cash only

Tried after long time service is lacking ordered lamb baltis .we're watered down meat was boiled there food has gone down very disappointed use to be a good curry place

I went to this restaurant for the first time last night (Saturday evening) with mum and sister- also their first time. The customer service was amazing- we were sat downstairs and our order was taken, until the Manager who was rushed told us to move upstairs as that booth was booked for someone else! Well then you shouldn’t have seated us there. So I said that’s fine and we went up only to find it full upstairs and where we were going to be seated against a brown table against the wall and not on the comfy seats would not have been comfortable for my mum so I went downstairs and told the Manager that seating upstairs is not comfortable! I said we will wait and then he was again rushed to sit us at the same booth that was already booked for a few other men- poor men so I didn’t want to argue and we sat down. Our food came and the chicken seekh kebab were delicious, best I’ve ever had with the naan and salad. Freshly made and piping hot and so filling! My mum loved it as did sis who never eats seekh kebabs! However I just felt the whole experience was rushed, after 45 minutes the same Manager comes and tells us that the table is booked for someone else now, well don’t rush us as we were still eating! He told the other waiter to clear our table when I was still finishing my food and fries but I got up and we got the fries packed. The food was delicious we ordered the same as take away for family member at home. However my mother was not very pleased or happy about being rushed and rightly so, neither was I! The Manager apologised and said when you come again will not rush you, how rude considering it was our first time! They really need to work on their customer service and not rush customers eating next time. Thank you. I will be back though just for the food 😂😋😋 inshallah I was back a week later with my friend after this first experience, much better customer service and experience. We ordered the same. New modern decor, looks great. Food was nice, service was good. Ample seating downstairs and upstairs. Ordered a large mixed grill which was a good size. Masala fish and seekh kebabs are great. Jalfrezi and baltis were very nice abd portions were great.

It's a reasonable place for indopak food. I was tired of chefs sprinkling some chillies in top of my gravy when I ask for it to be spicy. This gave me a good desi vibe. Although my wife kept pointing out it's not actually spicy but just about right! :) Only complain about ambience was the rocking seat we were sitting in. Parking is difficult to find. And they accept cash only. Had to queue in the atm in front for ages!

Customer service is disgusting from start to finish. As we walked in, we were told to get out straight away before even ordering our food. We then asked for a soft drink and he rudely replied with, “ no, we don’t have any!” The guy was short, big moustache, with an apron. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!! Better off going elsewhere and give my money to a food establishment that actually takes care of their customers.

Seekh kebabs are the best in the UK!

Was not the best service was good but food was average under cooked.

Mutton chops were disgusting and flavourless.Damn expensive. Never ever visit it in your entire life if you love delicious food. Presentation was horrible. Chicken biryani was tasteless and you can only taste spice. Chicken kabab was pretty good compared to the other dishes. Overall, I don't recommend you to visit this pathetic restaurant.

Delicious food and very good service. Very similar to Desi Karahi on Alum Rock Rd. Sheesh kebabs are delicious, mango lassi fresh and thick. Roti fresh and tasty. Lamb karahi highly recommended.

Ordered takeaway which included a samosa chaat. Tiny chunks of curdled yoghurt over piping hot samosa and chole which they tried to cover up with chutney. Tandoori chicken is just slathered in chilli sauce. Masala fish in naan comes with no salad or sauce so had to order separately. Not worth the money.

Large restaurant with a good selection of dishes that all tasted decent. I wasn’t a fan of the biriyani, but the curries and bread were really good. Service was fast and the price was really fair.

my friend was craving butter chicken and she heard the one from here was really good. we got a massive table all to ourselves. generous serving of fish pakora with salad and sauces to start. they brought a jug of water without us having to ask. garlic naan with the mains with tons of garlic on it. tasty mocktails. quite expensive but had plenty to eat there and plenty to bring home after. everything was very nice. and the butter chicken surpassed her expectations. so fully worth it.

I found the Karahi and bit bland and a bit stodged together in a tiny dish, lacked a bit of seasoning and spice, not sure I would crown them the King of Karahi, staff and service were reasonably good

Tasty curries and great kebabs, I did not like the Roti it was more on the crispy side hence 4 stars. The fresh apple juice was spot on.

Came to eat at this place the other night with a few friends and to say the food was no good is an understatement , the mix grill we ordered didn't taste right it had an odd smell along with the meat karahi ,tries telling the staff but they wasn't having any of it the guy was just being argumentative and not coming to a resolution. Would avoid

Came here with family for lunch. Nice and clean inside with excellent turnaround on the tables and great customer service. We had the 1/2 chicken tikka karahi which was easily enough for 2 along with a mix grill and chicken tikka on naan with fries. Cannot fault the food and will come back again insha’Allah. Highly recommended.

Great food, much cleaner after renovation. Nice seating upstairs and downstairs. Bit pricey but foods mostly nice. Staff could be a bit more attentive when taking and serving orders. The Chicken Sheesh kebabs, mixed grill and lamb/chicken karahis are awesome. Would recommend a visit. I have attached the latest menu for September 2022. Welcome to British Pakistani food. Enjoy !

I have ordered Sheesh kababs and Tandoori legs for the whole family, but they gave me pre-cooked /one day before, most likely. They should give me fresh food. That's food messed up every one stomach.

We were fortunate to have iftar dinner at king Karahi yesterday . It was overall lovely experience Mashallah including food, service and atmosphere . I would recommend everyone to try their lovely grill karahi and dessert.

Went here with family yesterday for iftar and had a wonderful experience, food was delicious and cooked well. we ordered lamb karahi , chicken karahi ,mixed grill and chicken biryani . Highly recommend the desserts here as well they were so well presented and tasty and a lot of selection to choose from we ordered gulaab jamun with ice cream and chocolate lovers dessert platter and they were amazing. fabulous overall experience highly recommend you won't be disappointed.

Customer service is disgusting from start to finish. After being told to move from the booth seats because they are for families when the shop was empty. And then we were told to not sit upstairs due to being females only when mixed genders were seating upstairs. Upon payment, I was going to pay by card but then changed my mind to paying cash and the guy at the counter was unprofessional and sighed. The food is definitely not worth the money you are paying for. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!! Had a chicken Tikka wrap and MIX GRILL was soo good. And Great customer service as well. Customer friendly atmosphere outstanding food specially the MiX grill we had this time Thank you for filling my stomach and soul as well 😁😁

This place is a really nice place & food is really good & tasty. My son is only 8 & it’s the only place he wants to eat at, he calls it King Karachi ever since I first bought him here when he was 5. So when we say shall we go out to eat he only wants to come here.

So basically I went to King karahi and ordered lamb karahi gosht although I eat it and I did complain to the waiter's to say that it was not the standard we were used to as before so he basically called the manager who was very abrupt and came across as rude and asked me what was the problem I then told him and he said that I should have complained early before I had eat the dish and should have thrown it back in the waiter's face and asked for a replacement . So then we were drinking coffee and another waiter came up and said are you waiting for anything and we said no and he said I have customers waiting for the table . I came out of that restaurant shocked and upset at the attitude of the manager and waiter

Guys pls don’t fall for the pictures and fake reviews on this , these lot are a shame to the name Karahi !! Let alone the king , taste less with no flavour at all , and the kebabs uff horrible and under cooked , but they claim they sell 2000 a day lol ask the waiter and he will tell u and he has smirk as he tells u too , what a joke , let u be the judge , should name it the Karach kebab lol as it’s that under cooked , and full of charbi aka lean fat !! Never going again , waste of money ,

Lovely atmosphere, food was delicious and served really fast. Loved the Mix Grill and Lamb Chops hit the spot! Must say well recommended and good for a lads/family meal, good customer service too by members of staff.

This place is amazing. Very friendly/homely vibes. Came here with some friends. Was welcomed at the entrance and seated to our tables. Customer service is on point. Waiters are constantly on the go. I ordered the small mix grill and 1/2kg lamb. Food was definitely freshly made, piping hot and tasted delicious. 1/2kg lamb was amazing. Perfect amount of salt and just a hit of spices. Will definitely come again.

After a long day was looking for some decent food. Headed to this place and £60 later realised what a mistake! The somosas came dripping with oil so we had to use napkins to dry them, the lamp chops were 4 and there were 3 of us, usually one is fighting over the last chop but it got left. It was tough meat with little taste. The chapli kebab was left as the meat did not look fresh more processed. Worse thing was the lamb and chicken karahi. Even when specifically telling the waiter that did not want a curry drenched in oil that is exactly what we got. Then when it came to paying they spring the 'cash only' thing on us. Yet another business wanting cash over card. We only had £40 so then miraculously they had a card machine. Good points, service was quick and they give you tap water if you want it.

Disappointed with the food. Even more disappointing were the waiters. The worst service ever experienced. You need to change your waiters.

The waiter shazad was absolutely brilliant. He was so kind, helpful and patient. He made my experience great. The food was lovely and didn't have to wait too long

Chicken Seek kebab was freshly cooked and delicious. Dal gosht and meat karahi was full of flavour. Was a little disspointed with the biriyani as it was very soggy. The service was good and the restaurant was not too busy. The price is reasonable. Parking can be an issue on busy days.

Horrible food should give zero stars. Firstly took ages to take our order we were the only customers in the shop. So we went to the toilets one at a time. Very dirty and smelly to say the least with no toilet seat. Ordered mixed grill small chicken karai pillau rice and roti with an orange juice. Mixed grill came with overcooked and dry fish and lamb tikka which was very chewy and hard impossible to eat. The chicken karai was over loaded with tomatoes was very tangy and floating in oil. So we left it as it was. The bill came to £43 which was not worth it. When we complained to the waiter that the tikka is hard and inedible he replied do you want it all packed?!??!? If we didn’t eat it in the restaurant why would we even look at it at home??? Avoid this place and go else where. The photos are of what was left after we force fed our selves the dry roti with the chips and the pillau rice. I hope I haven’t caught something from here. Will update if I do!

EDIT: 2nd visit: They now take card payments too, so I was told. The food we ordered was good, however was lacking the 'karara-ness' it usually has, will have to revisit to confirm if that's just a one off, but otherwise good curries. The chappal kebab, avoid it if you want a chappal kebab lol but if you want a decent shammi kebab, it's great as that. 1st visit: Great place great food. Recently refurbished so decor is nice. Last time I came I had the chicken spinach curry. Which was amazing! The place has clean toilets (when I visited). Downside is they do not take card, so take a detour to an ATM. Disable friendly entrance since the refurbishment so easy access for all.

Really nice. The food was really good here, grilled to perfection and served in a plesant mannor. A waiter called usman handled our table and he did it with love and care and was very attentive. On this visit I havent a bad word to say, it was a nice experience.

Food was amazing however the fish needs improvement.

We ordered mutton chops £6.50p, chicken tikka in naan £6.50 half peri peri chicken meal £6.50, a cheese burger meal £5.50p and X2 chicken sheesh kebabs. We told the chap serving us that we only wanted cheese n mayonnaise in the burger but I had add the mayonnaise myself which was runny as water. The lamb chops were really hard to bite and chew. The peri peri chicken came piping hot but full of flavour on the outer layer but unfortunately the leg piece and breast was totally pink from inside I gave the server a heads up that the chicken leg was pink and raw from the inside he apologised and replaced that piece immediately but again that was also raw from the inside moving on the remaining of the chicken breast was also raw so we gave up with the chicken. The chicken tikka was actually nice had a nice Charing taste to it and was full of flavour perfectly cooked but again the chicken sheesh kebabs were just full of flour and really bland in taste. I went here with my family following many recommendations from food reviewers but not sure what happened on this day maybe it was just one of those days. Once again the guy on the counter was absolutely amazing he knew I was with my family and just said go straight upstairs which was more comfortable rather than sitting downstairs.

We attended this restaurant with family and was amazed by the food and service . We did not have to wait too long to be served and the food was ready within minutes. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back soon.

Amazing place with amazing service

I order lamb karahi first time, it was awesome but second it was not the same I expected

We been there last Friday night around 9 pm because one of my friend recommended. It was absolutely amazing experience to have our dinner there. We order mixed kebab plater, Lamb Zhalfri and Nan bread. Outstanding test although the sitting area at 1st floor was a bit cold for some reason and we changed our place to make it a bit comfortable. Strongly recommended to everyone.

Food was burnt. Ordered a large mixed grill and chicken steak meal. The mixed grill was over cooked and mostly burnt no flavour except for the burnt taste. the chicken steak was burnt on one side all very dry and hard. Wont be going back there worst place I have eaten at and lost my appetite. food was also over priced. £42 spent on burnt meat.

Lovely food at reasonable prices. It cost about £25 with platter, meal and drinks.

I go to Karahi King quite often and the food is good quality. The waiter is super helpful, and our food always comes pretty quickly. However, I went this time and found the naan tray to be very dirty, and I even found a strand of hair in that tray. Other than that the food was good and the waiters service was amazing.

The service and lamb/chicken karahi were nice. We ordered large mixed grillls and they were a little disappointing. The tarka daal was the best. We used the seating upstairs for a, party of 30, the waiters were attentive and got food out in time.

I love the restaurants interior design and I love how the place is spacious and the service is very quick. The atmosphere is very comfortable as there is space and the food is so good that you will demolish it in 5 minutes!

Service from waiting staff was impeccable and good ambience and seating in the restaurant. Only giving it 3 stars for food as I had a high expectation from the reviews i read and it was recommended to me by someone. I have tried a number of different places in Birmingham and have to say I was expecting it to be better, overall a decent place and worth trying out.

Great food, can see the meat and naan being cooked on proper fire, good service and decent prices. Great option if you’re looking for halal food
