Better book a table before you go, we luckily got a table without booking, great service, great food, highly recommend.

Best takeaway we’ve ever had, the food was so fresh and full of flavour. Looking forward to eating in the restaurant soon.

First time at Miso and hopefully not the last,a Chicken Ramen dish,hot and tasty, healthy too.

This place is a hidden gem, booking is a must! We landed lucky and managed to get a table. There was a wait but we were told this at the very beginning and were more than happy to wait. There was a large selection of options both in food and drink. As you would expect they had some drinks from Japan and had a range of soft drinks. We ordered the bento box and we were not disappointed at all. As you can see from the pictures these boxes are packed full of items and full of flavour. You can use the chopsticks but they also have cutlery if you're not used to them. We did not have a dessert but that was due to the fact we were full from all the food that came in the bento box. All the staff are very friendly and made recommendations that I'm so glad of as I did order the special thanks to them.

This restaurant is great for a casual night out. Not well lit from outside and you need to go upstairs ,but it is definitely worth it. The starter, mains and desert were all delicious. Welcoming staff and amazing food. What more can you ask for? We will return to try different dishes.

A very nice place to go and have dinner. Sadly when we arrive no ramen available. But we took some gyozas and bento boxes which were well garnished and the food was excellent. Highly recommended if you are in the area

The restaurant is small with just a few tables but offers a great atmosphere, absolutely amazing food and a great service. My lady and I had some vegan/vegetarian food and everything was beyond our expectations. The people who work in the restaurant are kind, respectful and professional.

Amazing experience at Miso Stoke Tuesday 16th April. Me and my partner came here together to try out another Japanese restaurant t in the area (that isn't Wagamamas!) and we were not dissapointed. Incredible service, very polite and felt very welcoming. Really cosy interior with such a pleasent atmosphere. The food was absolutely incredible. Authentic Japanese cuisine, amazing selection of sushi and gyoza, and lovely selection of mains. Food came out well presented, fresh and hot. I had the vegetable gyoza ramen, incredible! Didn't try desert but looked fabulous and will certainly try next time we come along (which won't be long!) Would absolutely recommend!

Our first taste of authentic Japanese cuisine. This was exactly what we were looking for. A quaint little unassuming restaurant serving a small selection but well rounded menu. The decor takes you from stoke into Japan and the food was to die for. Really friendly staff. 10/10 would eat here again and we look forward to coming again.

Been coming here for several years now for celebrations/anniversaries/valentines etc. The food is incredible and absolutely blows away all other Japanese restaurants we’ve ever tried - definitely worth the money! In particular we would recommend the Roast Duck Ramen. We do miss being able to eat downstairs as the wall decorations were exceptionally beautiful and made the experience 6 stars, but in any case we 100% recommend Miso as either a takeaway or outing!

Delicious japanese bento! We've celebrated my daughter's birthday in a very special atmosphere. We took the cake, they've lit the candle and served, this was very kind as it was almost the closing time. Staff was very kind! We also had our tea refilled each time. We loved the new decorations as well.

We went in 5 for my dauther birthday and the food and service were amazing. Also the main dining area is nicely decorated and clean. The menu offers very good options for every taste at a fair price. We had some mix starters and then 4 bento and one ramen as main. All great. We had also a mix of Japanese beer, sodas and a great green tea wich came with unlimited refills of water. I would surely recommend and come back on another occasion.

The staff were very attentive and friendly, the girl who served us was very friendly. The lady on the front desk was very helpful at getting us a table as we hadn’t booked. Food wise, it was great, I had the Japanese Fried Chicken and Chicken Gyoza Ramen. Lots of flavours and really succulent. Overall the experience was great. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys Japanese food or just wants to try a new cuisine.

Wonderful restaurant with very polite staff. The portion sizes are absolutely perfect, a single bento box can fill you up! The best inari sushi I've eaten in this entire country. I will be eating here again and I strongly recommend that anyone who likes Japanese food does as well.

It's not Japanese food. There was so much rice that I couldn't taste the other ingredients. Rice is too mushy. The takoyaki wasn't even cooked on the inside.

Was looking for somewhere a bit different, with an edge, for a family pre-christmas gathering. Excellent evening out for 8 of us. Quality of the food was excellent and suprisingly authentic considering we were in the middle of proper potteries! Between 8 if us, we tried everything - Sushi, Ramen, Bento, Sake, Plum Wine, Asahi, Kirin, Sapporo beers. It was almost like Tokyo in 1985 again.....

We had the Ramen Bowls at this venue. I had the grilled chicken teriyaki and my partner had the veggie gyoza. First thing to say is both the ramen bowls were big and bigger than Wagamama bowls! The portions you get here are bigger than Wagamama portions! My grilled chicken was a generous portion and bigger than what you get at Wagamama. However, the meat was not as luscious and tender as the chicken you get at Wagamama. My partner said she liked the veggie gyoza and all the other vegetables and noodles in her bowl . I also liked all the vegetables and noodles in my bowl and I also enjoyed the tea-stained egg! We both agreed that the broth in both bowls was NOT sufficiently full of flavour and we had to add extras like chilli pepper and soy sauce to boost the flavour!! If anything the chicken broth at this venue was better than the veggie broth. The broth you get at Wagamama is better in terms of flavour and you also get pak choi in your bowl at Wagamama but not here. To sum up, the portions in the ramen bowls here are large, but we prefer quality over quantity. Our rating for this restaurant is Good but NOT Excellent. Compared with Wagamama, prices here are about the same. On balance we prefer the Ramen Bowls at Wagamama!!

Have visited a few times now. Everytime has been a lovely experience. Great food everytime a range of sushi, ramen and bento boxes. The takoyaki is always a go to! On my most recent visit I booked same day about noon and wonderfully they could fit us in.

Our first time at Miso last night. Wow, what a great little Gem to be found in Stoke. The food was amazing, we shared some dumplings and squid to start followed by all having different versions of Ramen. All was outstanding. The team serving were really friendly and very helpful. We were upstairs as their normal part of the restaurant is having sone work done, this didn’t detract at all and we still had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this amazing restaurant, you wont believe just how good it is. We are lucky to have it. Thank you

Excellent food and service. Really friendly and welcoming. Both the food and aesthetics are really authentic of Japan (from someone who lived in Japan for a number of years. Looking forward to going back some time.

Lovely food which we all enjoyed as a party of eight. The service was very slow sadly, however still very friendly. We had to wait quite some time for service to arrive, then the food. After ordering, we weren't asked again if we would like to order more drinks, which was frustrating as we couldn't get the servers attention easily. The tables also were difficult to sit at, as there was no room for long legs. However overall, it was enjoyable and we would visit again.

Very tasty food and polite service

It was not cheap at all, and I felt a little bit let down after reading good reviews about this place. Maybe we just went on a bad day, but based on that experience we will not be going back. I don’t usually review somewhere that I didn’t enjoy, but I really felt like I should for this place. The search for great sushi goes on I guess.

The only Japanese pls e in stoke on Trent and my first visit with my friend Caroline. The font is not terribly inviting it feels a bit of a weird adventure when heading up the steps.. We were greeted warmly. We shared starters tempura prawns and the pumpkin Crockett both were hot and fresh, we both chose bento boxes 🍱 I have duck which we cooked to perfection my only issue was the level of salt in the black bean sauce but it was very nice all the same. We didn’t try a pud as we were full to bursting. The restaurant was very busy and I would recommend booking. This place is certainly worth a visit.

Came here for the first time, absolutely without a doubt the best Japanese Cuisine ive eaten. Lovely staff, fast wait times.

I somehow though the place was run by Japanese people , food was alrightish drinks cheap , no sashimi or sushi made of raw fish, there was some sort of sushi made of smoked salmon which for me is a no no so that’s why only 3 stars

Quiet, almost hidden away little restaurant with kind owner & service. Food was very tasty, some of the best Japanese food you can find from an experienced cook! It may look closed from the outside, the entrance hallway is dark and off to the side of the lower shop. But please enter for incredible food!

The food here was AMAZING! We had sushi, bento boxes as well as the pork ramen and it was all delicious. The area where the restaurant isn’t exactly beautiful but once you go upstairs the restaurant is really cute and the service was outstanding. Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely return if we’re in the area.

Outstanding restaurant in every respect. Service, Food, Value for money. Used to live local to the restaurant until 6 years ago and going back for the first time was worth the wait and not disappointing

We went for a meal with friends and I was really impressed. There was plenty of choice and food was all cooked fresh and portions were very good.

A quaint little gem with very friendly service and great food. Selection, prices and taste of food was super and the music/decor added to an authentic atmosphere. The entrance presentation to the building/restaurant could have been tidier, but overall it was an enjoyable and tasty experience.

Miso is a great place to eat. We had a starter, main and a sharer. Which was more than enough to fill us up. For starter we had the miso soup which was full of flavour and was just the right amount to set us up for mains. I had the pork ramen while my partner had chicken gyoza ramen for main. The pork was melt in the mouth and there was plenty of it too. The broth and noodles were amazing and honestly, the amount you got was crazy. Really filled me up. The chicken gyoza was good too, but there wasn't as much flavour in the chicken gyoza ramen compared to the pork, but still was filling according to my partner. We shared the crispy chicken sushi, there were 8 pieces in total and they were a really good size, you could easily share them amongst 4 people. They were a good flavour dynamic of rice, seaweed and chicken. The server was brilliant and really polite, giving us time to order and answering any questions we had. If I had to give a negative, i would say the size of the restaurant was very quaint. Possibly they are doing a refit. As everything is up stairs, hidden away. But we were able to get a table still and that point did not knock our overall experience. So overall, it's a brilliant menu, with really tasty and filling food and the staff are excellent. If you have been wanting to try japanese food. Go here. I'm definitely going again.

Delicious food, good portions, excellent service. The prices are adequate. It is closed on Sundays and Mondays, other days I think opens after 18:00. You can order takeaway from Miso via Uber eats platform.

Solid food and cannot go wrong if you come here. Got the bento box which was banging and the ramen was also great. Flavours were quite exquisite.

Excellent place for a peaceful family/couple/solo meal with fantastic food and welcoming Host. I have been many times to Miso and every-time I have had a thoroughly brilliant time. Food is well priced for Japanese Cuisine.

Absolutely incredible. The food was without fault and just so well made, its the best Japanese food I've had anywhere. The lady who served us was lovely and made the entire night so special. More people should visit and eat in! It's well worth it for the price and for the food. We will be back!

When you first walk in to this place its a surprise as it doesn’t look much until you get upstairs it’s lovely. The staff are helpful and so welcoming the food is amazing could not fault anything. We would definitely recommend a visit to this little place with an open mind. We will definitely be returning.

Amazing Japanese restaurant...so much better than Wagamamas! Great octopus, squid and prawn starters. Wonderful flavours and big portions. Even tried a pudding that I'd never had before. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area.
