Miso Korean Restaurant in Bournemouth

Small rustic “restaurant” with great service and fresh delicious food. Bento boxes are generous and filling. Does takeaway service too.

I had a very disappointing breakfast at the local Wetherspoons so needed a good meal to Cheer me up so ordered a prawn fried rice with a egg on top it was lovely I got the impression they was japanese there not they are Korean the food is tasty and good value for money.

Couldn’t decide what to get, so opted for Bento A - which has a bit of everything. I chose spicy pork, as recommended by the server. Great shout. Spicy and sweet. Lovely seaweed salad, also came with rice, two pieces of KFC (Korean fried chicken), some spicy popcorn chicken, edamame and 2x fried dumplings/gyoza. All lovely, but the popcorn chicken (listed as ‘chicken balls’) tasted oily. Glad to wash it down with Korean Green Tea (from a teabag). Good value for money - and came in environmentally friendly trays. Excellent service. Would recommend for casual dining and decent Korean/fusion food. As a visitor from London (but of SE-Asian origins), where there are some outstanding Korean restaurants, I’d go back if I ever return to Bournemouth.

Abendessen mit der Familie: Wir hatten 4 Vorspeisen, die himmlisch waren. 5 Hauptspeisen, die einfach nur fantastisch waren. Und trotzdem sehr günstig. Perfektes Erlebnis, auch wenn ein Teller aus Pappe war, kommen wir morgen wieder.

It's a must everytime we are in Bournemouth. Still great as always. Hot, fresh and yummy. Reasonably priced. Good portions. Nice people. Highly recommended Spicy Pork Dub Bap, Bibimbap and Bento.

The food was delicious, piping hot and very good value. The service was friendly and efficient. I can thoroughly recommend the Miso Rice Bar and will be returning at the earliest opportunity.

What a fantastic restaurant. I ordered the Yaki Udon noodles and some Korean chicken wings, and it was simply exquisite. The price was very reasonable and the service was incredible. I will definitely be visiting again and would it to my family and friends. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sensational. If you want fresh delicious Asian food that is prepared healthily and tastes delicious then it’s here. A rare find in Bournemouth. Underpriced for the amazing quality food.

Went for a birthday lunch with work friends. Had been recommended here many times but this was my first time of trying. It is a small place (only three tables) but it is super clean and the staff friendly. We ordered from the small but perfectly formed menu. I can't remember/pronounce the main dishes but they were in large bowls (like stews) with side dishes of rice, dumplings, prawn tempura. The food came very quickly and was absolutely delicious. I had the stew with spicy soup, seafood and silken toffee, kimchee and vegetables. The gyoza style dumplings were perfect with a slightly crispy shell. The meal was really reasonable at £45 for 3 and there was sooo much food. The portions are huge. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We have vowed to make it a birthday tradition from now on. Luckily, we have another birthday in three weeks!! Can't wait to go back...

I have been staying away for work and eaten here three time, both in and take away I highly recommend this place. Extremely high quality for amazing value.

My hubby and I had lunch here on Wednesday 7th June 2023 at 12.10-12.50... It was quiet when we arrived. We enjoyed all dishes. Spicy Pork Dub Bap and Bibim bap are to die for (8.90 £ each with rice and veg). Bento Set is 11.60 £ with choice of chicken/beef/pork served with rice, Hot Crispy Chicken Ball, Chicken Wings, Gyoza amd some veg. Self service soft drinks are 1.50 £ each. Best Asian restaurant in Bournemouth. Yummy, fresh, reasonably priced, great hospitality, good portions, cozy atmosphere with 4 tables for eat in. Only 10 minute walk from Oceanarium, Bournemouth Beach. Will definitely come back again. Love this family run restaurant. Highly recommended ❤️

We were exploring the area by the sea front and found this little restaurant near-by. The best Korean food we ever had. The siting area is limited but the meal we had was super tasteful. Highly recommended.

Lovely little Korean restaurant we came across while visiting Christchurch and Bournemouth. Food so tasty with extremely fair prices. Seating quite limited however takeaway is always an option and totally worth it. Will return next time we’re in the area! Yum!

Popped in enroute to see a show at the nearby BIC. Friendly staff. Fast service. Very tasty food and plenty of vegetarian options. We utilised the limited seating available. Takeaway options were also available. An unpretentious gem of a place!

We never fail to visit Miso Rice Bar whenever we are in Bournemouth. They serve heart-warming Korean dishes and never disappoint. The food is delicious and the staffs are friendly. It is also really close to the beach!

Absolutely excellent every time. Two little ladies cooking up a storm in this tiny kitchen changing the world one bento at a time. Love this place, every time we visit Bournemouth we always make it a point to eat there at least once while we visit! The bento boxes with the extra protein box is banging . Can’t wait to go back again! Yum!

I ordered takeaway from here and it was really delicious and hit all the right spots. It was a little late for them to pack the food as they went over the estimated time that they told me to come and collect but you can't blame them as they had 3 workers and a full table. The restaurant itself is very small and felt a little cramped and hence personally I wouldn't dine in due to that. But the food is really tasty and a great value. I recommend getting the bento b set as you get a lot of varieties of food and you can get a taste of different food items. If I ever go down to Bournemouth, I would most definitely go here again!!!

Really good atmosphere friendly small restaurant, food was excellent authentic nicely spiced. Staff so knowledgeable explained the dishes delicious. Well priced dining, will be back.

Pedí una gran comida para llevar para una ocasión familiar. Absolutamente delicioso. Servicio muy amable e incluso nos dieron algunas bebidas gratis. Excelente relación calidad-precio. ¡También hemos comido antes y había un ambiente hogareño y traer el suyo es una ventaja! Cada plato era tan sabroso, ¡no puedo recomendar lo suficiente! Los platos vegetarianos también son geniales.

Looks uninspiring from the outside but the food was fab! And cheap! Staff were very accommodating. What more do you want? Only criticism, they don't serve alcohol.

Me dio el pedido equivocado y luego no contesté el teléfono, estoy bastante seguro de que el pedido que me dieron era más grande, pero no quería nada de eso, solo que estaba lleno de sushi de muy mala calidad hecho con palitos de pescado. Intenté llamarlos 10 veces pero no respondieron y ahora están cerrados. No te preocupes, soy local, también iré para ventilar mis opiniones.

Had a takeaway tonight, 30 07 2020, we are staying at the local travelodge we thorouhly enjoyed our mixed platter. Absolutely fabulous 😁

Pequeño restaurante encantador, la familia coreana te hace sentir bienvenido. La comida es deliciosa y hay mucha. Casi cada plato fue realmente fantástico y hermoso. Las porciones son grandes, así que tenlo en cuenta al hacer el pedido. Un restaurante local económico que vale la pena visitar si estás en Bournemouth.

A menudo paso junto a este pequeño restaurante camino al trabajo y saliva por el olor de la comida, así que anoche finalmente pude probar un poco. Located very close to the BIC we popped in for a speedy meal before our show. The food was served very promptly and was delicious.

Just had the bento box, hit the spot and then some, lovely staff simple menu well worth a visit. Worth popping over the road for your alcoholic drinks as it’s unlicensed. Lots of local Koreans in tonight so this for me endorses the quality.

This little place is a goldmine of a find..the staff are amazing fun friendly and efficient.The food is all explained in pictures on the menu and the girls will explain. The food is cooked fresh, its just gorgeous we went two nights on the trot and wished we were staying longer. We had two main dishes the first night Katsu Curry chicken & Spicy Beef Dumbab hot and tasty and with two drinks under £20. Next night we had veggie pancake, bento box A and crispy pork cutlet two drinks £23. They reserved our table. They are busy with sit-ins and takeaways and you know why!! Well recommend!!!

It is a small business warm welcome home cook fresh ingredients, I loved Jap chae noodles very delicious recommended.

Small cosy restaurant serving tasty authentic Korean dishes. We ordered the vegetable kimbap, fried ricecakes, and bibimbap and enjoyed them very much. Meal for two plus drinks for less than 20 pounds.

Love, love this place! What a gem, we found. The bento boxes are fabulously delicious and the prices are very reasonable. One of my favourite places in Bournemouth to eat. Only downside is there isn’t a toilet. It is rather a bijou establishment but gives me a feel of Japanese cafe even though they are Korean. A must visit if you are in the area.

We stumbled across this - brilliant food! The kimbap (sushi) was delicious, large portion, and very reasonable (I had tempura prawn for 5.99). The yakisoba sauce was not quite to my taste but that plate was still well made and delicious (and it was my first time trying it). Would definitely come back if we lived here.

Really enjoyed the food, which wad very reasonable but very good. It is a tiny restaurant, I expect midi of the sales are takeaway. The whole thing is quite chaotic but charming and friendly.

Had a fantastic katsu curry, ordered it to collect, ready in 15 mins. Really good prices too. Will definitely be going here again

This is a little hidden gem in Bournemouth so please respect it if you visit - it's much loved by the locals who know about it. It's informal, BYO and help yourself to cutlery, napkins and water. Then order from their pretty extensive menu for hot, delicious, fresh food of asian styles which is very reasonably priced in portions decent enough to satisfy your hunger. There are limited tables and some bar type seating along the window. We eat here each week. The staff are lovely.

Just been there, very small (also no toilet, only negative) prices seem very reasonable and portion sizes are excellent. I didn’t know what to try so had Bendo 2 (kinda meal for 1) and everything was superb, nicest tempura prawns in a light batter ever, chicken wings crispy and everything on my pate was, tasty, fresh, beautiful and no grease if your comparing good it to a Chinese restaurant.

This miso bar has become somewhat of a family favourite in the bournemouth area. Food always arrives relatively quickly and never disappointed! Quite a small restaurant and no toilet so a great spot for takeaway.

Tried this place by recommendation. Was not disappointed. Went twice and took away. The plates are well packed, nicely presented, and delicious. Prices are mid-range and portions are generous. The only suggestion is to call in advance if you want to take away as it takes about 20 min to be ready as they freshly cook the dishes. I highly recommend this place.

Come with friends and 2 children, can't belive a dine in place without any washroom facilities. We have to go to the hotel next to it.

Lovely little Korean restaurant at great prices. 4 meals and drinks under £40. Crispy chicken dumplings were excellent. Soft drinks only £1. Friendly service. We all agreed we would defiantly go back again.

I could eat their bento everyday!! YumYum!! The restaurant is very small so I usually buy bento for take away. My 2y and 4y kids love their beef bento so much! Fresh made and generous amount! We bought their bento as picnic or lunch.

Wonderful Korean Restaurant in town, Lovely home made dishes. I love the Bento Box. and Korean chijimi Korean pan cake, Korean sushi was very nice too. In the bento box , they were Edamame, chicken wings, Yakitori, Seaweed salad, Pork Bulkogi, etc it was absolutely wonderful. I really want to go back again. Fabulous. You can see the chef was cooking in the kitchen there. Very friendly place but marvelous foods!!

If you are looking at eating some korean street food then this is the right place to go. However not the best street food ever (meat pieces could be better chosen, topboki is so so..), but for someone not very regarding I suppose it is fine.

Took the family there late last night and the restaurant rustled up the 4 different dishes we ordered in minutes - all of them wonderfully delicious and appreciated by all.

Visiting Bournemouth again and wanted to try Korean food. The restaurant is small only 3 tables and a small sit to eat bar. The menu has a good selection of food to choose from. I chose Bulgogi Dub-,bap. stir fried rice beef combined with soya sauce mixed vegetables and served with small green salad. It was really nice well presented and cooked to order. The staff are so friendly. The restaurant is very clean and they also do take away. A great choice for a Korean Lunch or Dinner in Bournemouth.

What a lovely place! I had their seafood pancake and veggie bibimbap and both were delicious and very good value for money! The staff are really sweet and welcoming too. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Bournemouth!

I am a Korean and I visited several Asian restaurants in Bournemouth. Among them, I think here is the best. Price, taste, kindness, clean.

So, so impressed with this place. As is so often the case the best places aren’t always so glaringly obvious.

My family and I found this food selection delicious and filling. There was amazing value in this restaurant and the people were lovely and friendly. Good selection of drinks and there was a wide range of traditionally Korean food in the menu.

A midweek evening (maybe wednesday?) visited the place, had an udon soup, my other half had a bibimbap, both were very delicious, served by a very friendly lady. Absolute positive experience. Will return, especially it's just around the corner.

While staying in Bournemouth I have eaten from here twice. The first visit I had the ramen, which was fairly bland and tasted very similar to the instant noodle bowls you can get from the supermarket. The second time I tried the sushi, and even though my husband asked if it was raw tuna they used, I was disappointed to find that they in fact used canned tuna.

Had a beautiful meal here. Small and cosy and the food was freshly cooked and delicious. Would definately return.

Stayed at the Charlesworth across the road and spotted this little gem. Korean food is my favourite cuisine - I had the bibimbap twice, although I should have tried one of the bento boxes. Having been to Korea a couple of times, this is truly authentic food. There are only 3 tables which makes eating in a little cosy, but it's well worth a visit. I'd have given this an excellent rating, however, on the second visit, my order was forgotten and I had to wait quite a long time. But the food was definitely worth waiting for!
