Mirchi Indian in Bristol, City of

Food is always delicious and full of flavour. Staff are lovely too. So much fun to watch your dishes being made in front of you on collection.

Mirchi is good. Curry and nahns are the good. Chicken tikka main is awesome. My only knock is the samosas. Too small.

I am a regular and I can say that Mirichi is the best Indian take away in Bristol by far.. I always order here food is very tasty can never really fault apart from lately I’m not getting my popadoms :( please don’t forget next time thanks

I'm thankful that they forgot to deliver part of the order because it means atleast I can get a refund on that.. After spending over the odds on a subpar meal you have to chase the silver lining where possible. The over priced semosas were little cheep bake at home things that had gone soggy maybe because of the brown 'salad' that was haphazardly chucked in the box. And the rest of the meal followed suit. With salty potatoes and liquid, oily Dahl I think it's safe to say I won't be coming back. Save your money and save your time... I wish I had walked to my local it doesn't deliver but at least they care what they give to their customers. If what arrived came to me in a restaurant I would send it back and leave without paying.

Excellence comes as standard with Mirchi, cannot find any fault at all.

Very late arrival. Called restaurant several times to which they said he’ll be here in 5 mins every time. When delivered the man did not even apologise for it being late. Will not be re-ordering again. Food did not arrive until 9.30pm and ordered at 7.45pm!!

Ordered here loads of times and always great food. Just slightly bigger Portion size on masala sauce as wasn't much last time but that's how I prefer.

More than 30 minutes over than the confirmed delivery time but still waiting for the order. Called the restaurant twice and the only information given is that the drive is on his way. Very poor delivery service.

Working in Bristol for a few weeks have tried different takeaways this is the best so far, good quality fresh tasty food prompt delivery very professional and friendly delivery driver, free papadoms would definitely recommend this place. Thank you guys keep up the good work.

Disappointed. The prawn puree was very nice, but the rest was not. Found the shami kebab dry and the chicken didn`t have much of a tandoori taste. Wouldn`t order again, sorry.

Rice were undercooked. Kebabs had a ghastly red color. Charged me for the drink I ordered but did not deliver. Tried calling but no answer.

I ordered online, and they cancelled my order after they had closed? And the food should have been arriving in 10 minutes? And nobody there to answer the phone? Disgraceful customer service. Do not order from here!

Always a little nervous about ordering from somewhere new, but was pleasantly surprised! Food came hot (even though it was a pretty far car ride) and tasted delicious, came on time and the driver was very polite. Would definitely recommend as this will probably be my new 'local Indian.

my favourite Indian takeaway around here. I haven't tried them all, but have tried a lot, and always go back to Mirchi.

the food was horrible and I puked and got stomach aches the whole night. My fiancé got stomach aches as well. bad quality food badly cooked. never saw sauces more squishy, lamb so full of fat and nerves and chicken so dry. never ever will I order from there again. oh, and the poppadum has a taste of humidity..

Sadly the panner matter tasted really sweet. Very over powering. Like candy floss. Could not eat the rest of my food as that was all I could taste and smell. Normally their food is really lovely. Sad face. Also chicken was dry and lamb was tough.

Discovered 'em a year ago, ordered from about half a dozen times: Yet to find anything that isn't both well made and great value. Only gripe might be the high minimum delivery. But its some of the best Indian food in Bristol!

Excellent! Really tasty, hot and fast. My bhaji starter was crisp and full of flavour, though I was a little suspicious of the luminous green yoghurt that accompanied it (the flavour of which made up for the lurid colour 😁). The vegetable (okra, brinjal, saag) dishes were delicious and not overly spicy, nor were they drowned in oil. I particularly enjoyed the brinjal bhaji, and as our previous local takeaway used to do such terrible things to an aubergine, it's really satisfying to find somewhere that does a great brinjal dish. I loved the tangy Ceylon, which I hadn't tried before; I'll add that to the list of "keepers", alongside Achari, which I didn't get on this occasion. This was also my introduction to a Rezala, which I found to be a little spicy for my taste, but still enjoyable with some extra rice and yoghurt. All in all, I finished my meal satisfied and full, and without the heartburn that so frequently accompanies a late-night hot oily curry. Superb 😁

Disfruté particularmente de la brinjal bhaji, y como nuestra comida local anterior solía hacer cosas tan terribles a una berenjena, es realmente satisfactorio encontrar un lugar que sirva un gran plato de berenjena.Me encantó el ácido Ceylon, que no había probado antes; Agregaré eso a la lista de "guardianes", junto a Achari, que no obtuve en esta ocasión. Curry a bit watery and lacking in flavour. Naan a bit doughy. Only saving grace was that arrived super quick and hot.

As a curry enthusiast, I can certainly say that the curry that was delivered to me was not fresh and tasted bland. I will not be ordering from here again. I am extremely disappointed.

Food 40 minutes late. Called the restaurant, staff very friendly on the phone. Driver called, very rude on the phone, paid for delivery yet driver insisted I walk to a destination to collect food, refused to park and delivery food to address. Food cold on arrival.

Our order took so long and when it arrived half the food was missing and the other food was wrong. The food was probably nice but as it was cold and all got delivered wrong we ate at seprate times.Will not order again

The food from this restaurant is always good quality and the portion size is good. my only niggle is there seems to be a lot of sauce in the dishes compared to the actual content.

Main dish missing, so rice and bread binned. Driver said he would sort, never did. Also contacted Just Eat. No response from either! I will avoid both from now on.

Dal was almost entirely liquid and had to be put into bowls. The saag paneer was good, but the chamade masala was tasteless and the chickpeas hard. The rogan josh was bland. Not very good, in all.

Greatest Indian on this side of Bristol. Consistently good quality of food. Always on time and big portions! All for a reasonable price :D

Clean, tasty and arrived a bit early, which is always good. Karahi was excellent, but Bhuna and Peshwari a bit on the bland and mild side. On the basis of this one order would recommend going for something a bit spicier than you would normally, as that'll ensure the kick of flavour you're hoping for. Overall though, pretty good.

It's good, nice quality food , we ordered the butter chicken and lamb bhuna , well cooked chunks of meat in rich flavoursome sauces , the butter chicken sauce is very rich! Definitely try it if you are a korma fan. Will certainly be ordering from here again but go for something with a bit more chilli heat as the bhuna and the butter chicken curries are very mild.

Really great food, delivered quickly on Saturday night. Tandoori chicken starter was awesome - don’t ever change it (if you’re listening Mirchi)... Jhinga Chilli Prawn was very tasty and the onion Bahamian were great too. Slightly on the pricey side but very good nonetheless.

Had the Korma. Very mild, bit bland so I think if I ordered again I would specifically request it spiced up a little bit more.. maybe request cardamon etc. . Very nice creamy texture and arrived hot. Delivery was a little earlier than expected, and they had added a few extra minutes to the time so was about right. Would I order again? Yes, I would.

Really nice food. Was 20 minutes late but given the distance from the shop (St George to Knowle) was expecting as much. Food was still hot so no big deal. Would order again :-)

Food was bland, lacking any spice or flavour. They gave us the wrong naan. They forgot our rice and then said it would be an hour for delivery or they can refund but they didn’t say sorry for making a mistake. Awful experience awful don’t believe the reviews waste of time.

Was pretty disappointed overall having seen the excellent reviews. Chicken madras was just some bland generic orange curry and the naan was soggy and tasteless. We are spoilt for choice for Indian cuisine in Bristol so I won't be ordering from these guys again.

This place is without doubt, the tastiest Indian I’ve had in Bristol. After discovering Mirchi I’d had a few average to terrible Indians that put me off for a while until I was suggested to try here. Food always seems fresh, really tasty, hot and I haven’t had any issues with ordering to date. Don’t order from anywhere else. Their Just Eat reviews speak for themselves.

Lovely meal overall. Only thing we weren’t overwhelmed by was the mixed grill - a little on the dry side and not an awful lot to it. Curry, Saag Paneer and the naan were all fab though.

Fantastic 5**! Ordered twice from here in the past fortnight as a friend recommended, and I cant thank them enough for suggesting them! Honestly one of the best Indian take outs I've ever had and the food Is consistently the same high tasty quality! The food comes in plastic tubs but has stickers with the Mirchi branding on it, which clearly identifies what item is what saving confusion later on! The order in which we placed came with a complementary portion of several dips and popadaums! Would highly recommend Mirchi to anyone who is looking for a good curry takeout who might be anxious about trying somewhere new! Take my advice, just like I did with my friend, you won't regret it!!!
