Mira Lebanese Restaurant in Camden

Came for a takeout and they refused to serve me.

The bailiffs have dropped in and the restaurant is now closed.

Only popped in for some small bites after the lunch rush - I'd highly recommend the Fatayer B’sabanekh. Great service, lovely staff. I was the only customer as everyone had gone back to their offices, so I had everyone waiting on me like the Lady Of The Manor I believe I am 😂. They kindly gave me complimentary Tea & assorted Baklava ❤️ Thank you so much, I felt very well looked after and I've deffo got Mira on my list for a revisit for dinner.

I love Lebanese and arabic food. I ordered grill chicken at mira which is usually the safest option but it turned out to be the driest and tasteless grill i have ever eaten. The service wasn’t great either as we had to split the bill and staff kept blaming us for underpaying which when checked thoroughly was wrong and they had misplaced a receipt. Oh the costs are very high as well. Overall rating of 1 imo.

We ordered kafta and shish tawouk(chicken). Kafta came out undercooked and chicken burned. Not recommended.

Food was all amazing! Service can be a bit rough, it can be easily interpreted as rude. Although I think it's just a cultural issue.

Food wasn't too bad but the waiter is very rude. Would be better off looking for a job other than catering.

Lovely restaurant tucked away from the main roads. Elegantly decorated, low lighting. Lovely waiter, thoughtful. Well seasoned and delicious meal. Hummus particularly tasty.

Manager/ owner was rude and made a remark in arabic (which I understand). My knafeh was also drowning in syrup and definitely was microwaved. Lamb was bussin’ though هههههههه

The staff is very friendly and accommodating, but that's about it. The food is very basic at an outrageous price. The moussaka as a starter for £8 is exactly the same size and dish as the main course for £17.5 which was shocking. The grill chicken was tasty, but the side salad wasn't fresh. The lamb we asked to be gluten-free, which was marked on the menu, and yet they delivered it with a piece of bread underneath it :( We were all very disappointed and won't be back anytime soon.

If you’re from the Middle East or if you’ve experienced proper Middle Eastern food, then skip this place.. We ordered humus, the most famous and staple of ME dishes, but it was horrible.. Was too thick, dry and tasteless, i would be very surprised if it didn’t come from a plastic package from a budget shop.. Moutabal was OK, hence the 2 stars. Chicken shish and kafta were below average at best. The place was almost completely empty the whole time we were there.. Guess we should have took that as a clue.. And everything is overpriced.. £4.5 for a coke?

I rarely write negative reviews but looking at the 5* reviews on here I can only assume they are paid for or fake. Look at the less favourable reviews and you’ll see what this place is actually like. Very disappointing

Been here twice now and really enjoy it and recommend! The food is very good! we had the set meal for 2 which is a great variation for everything! Atmosphere was lovely as usual. Highly recommend

Beautiful food. Fresh and exciting flavours. Efficient and good service - relaxed with no pretence - expected when the food is this good. Good portion sizes too for the price. Special mention to the Fattoush. Dressing was to die for. Authentic tastes, best Middle Eastern restaurant we’ve been to in a long time!

Deffo some fake reviews on here. We had the mixed Meze and mixed grills. The meat was chewy and dry, the dips are OK, the falafel is quite decent, the liver was very dry and chewy. The service was slow and without any kind of smile. I would definitely not recommend coming here to eat.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Wir hatten ausschliesslich Vegetarische Mezze bestellt. ( das kam beim Chef dort nicht so gut an…) Ich muss mich leider den anderen Rezessionen anschliessen. Der Service ist unterirdisch unfreundlich und man fühlt sich nicht sehr willkommen. So etwas hatten wir schon lange nicht mehr erlebt!Wir kommen aus diesem Grund sicher nicht mehr wieder hier hin zum Essen

The person serving us was helpful and attentive. Unfortunately the food was nothing special and memorable. The lamb kebab was tough and chewy.

My wife and I had a lovely dinner here. We had the Mixed Grill and Moussaka - both delicious. The Service was great, and we appreciated them dropping one of our drinks from our final bill after we pointed out to them that the original bill they presented to us was missing the drinks we ordered.

We had a fantastic experience at Mira! We were a large group (35) for an office Christmas meal, and the team at Mira (Michael and Ali) were very accommodating. They set up the whole restaurant beautifully for us, allowed us to order an assortment of sharing and individual meals, and were very helpful on the day. They coordinated with me in advance to arrange everything and incorporated all of our tricky requests! The food was absolutely delicious and we all left so happy. Highly recommend!

Nothing exceptional. The food was okay. As read on previous comments, I have to agree that the service wasn’t particularly friendly.

Long wait in Hospital and needing something wholesome and light. Mira Restaurant is not far from UCH and a haven for wiery travellers or patients. I ordered the lentil soup and it was absolutely gorgeous. Filling but light with a side of crispy bread squares and a lemon to garnish. I only realised that sprinkling the juice over the squares halfway through my soup enhanced the soup and meal even more! So nutritious and just what the doctor ordered. As it was daytime and after lunch it was quiet but still had customers. I can tell it's a popular venue. The staff are lovely and helpful and I can't wait to try a proper meal one evening in good company. My only negative is as many others have said, the toilets. They are not maintained or kept clean. Again you can't help who your customers are but at a quiet moment staff could check them, clean floors, clean down bowls, check rusty pipes and repair and allow the amazing experience upstairs to continue down stairs. While food is important the message of hygiene isn't which is disappointing and sad. But I am sure this won't be a problem in the future and isn't a reason for me to come back 😊

Don't think this place would survive a cleanliness inspection. There were flies everywhere and the bathrooms were grim. Staff couldn't give a toss. A bit Fawlty towers. Food was ok but nothing special. At 9 they decided to close so opened the doors to freeze us out and gave us the bill, unrequested :D

Charged incorrectly. Food was okay, chicken slightly burnt. Small portion, not really worth £12.45 in my opinion. Food was prepared fairly quickly

Booked at 8. Checked my phone and emails at 7. Confirmation received all fine. Turned up and was told that because i didn’t answer my phone at 7.30 the table was given to someone else. Unbelievable.

Appalled at the treatment from this restaurant. The owner double-booked us (even though we received confirmations for our booking) and did not inform us. We turned up, only to be told “we don’t have room”. Terrible service - do not recommend. If you do book here, make sure you call constantly to check that they didn’t double-book you………

Booked a table and when I turned up they told us there was no space. They had left me a message and Instead of politely explaining they were incredibly rude. I really wouldn’t recommend this restaurant

Great little Lebanese. This was my second visit and will be back again. Michael the owner is very friendly. Great food, shish taouk and the lamb kofta were personal favourites. Thanks for a lovely meal.

I visited it with my wife and daughter. A great alternative to European food. Spicy dishes, very good amounts of food in each dish and excellently cooked. Quiet and friendly environment. I highly recommend it.

had a bad experience. booked a table online for a party of 20, they accepted it but when we showed up on time they were double booked and told us to wait outside as the people before us were about to leave soon. however we noticed that the people who 'were about to finish their meal' were in fact just getting their main course served. when we questioned how long do we need to wait the manager became rude. we left and never went back

Great service, lovely food, no pudding options other than baklava which was disappointing but overall really nice restaurant.

Waiter seemed disinterested in our order. Interrupted us often mid order so never felt he'd listened to what we said. Forgot 1 beverage and brought us an empty cup initially and laughed. We were not included in the laughter

Bizarre place. First off, it looks nothing like the photos which have been touched up. The service was abysmal. Guy who welcomed us in (place was empty) couldn't have been less enthusiastic about having new diners and it genuinely felt like we got in the way of him sitting down and doing nothing. Asked for 2 bottles of wine, neither were available. Food was okay, sneaking suspicion rice was just knocked up in a microwave though as was incredibly dry. Very little to recommend here.

Went in with huge expectations Was a bit disappointed tbh, We had Mezze platter - falafel, wine leaves, hummus, moutabel, pitas (sotore bought) , harissa chickpeas in a plate. This was quite good Grilled chicken - was quite bad and very bitter , we informed them and they dint seem to care about this Don't think we will go back

There was about 15 of us and the staff were rushing us to order because they needed to close the shop even though the booking was made in advance so they knew we were coming. We also were told some of the items on the menu weren’t available (again they were aware that we were coming so surely you should stock up?), the food was very average (their spicy chips were the only good thing on the menu) and some of my friends who went downstairs said the toilets are awful. Had I known how unclean this place is I never would have gone. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Good value tastey food served up by couple of less happy gents. Maybe they don't like custom in the 1.5 hour to closing.

We had a positive experience. Dined after work with colleagues. We all really enjoyed the food. The place doesn't look like much from the exterior and this could be improved as well as the interior decor. This aside however, the food itself was really delicious and generous portions too. The staff were a bit laid back and we had to get their attention to order, chase up missing sides and the bill, however they were overall friendly and helpful. Would return if I was to be in the area.

Good food, terrible service. Having confirmed they closed at 10pm in advance, they refused to take additional food orders after 830pm on a 8pm booking. Just after 9 they refused to serve drinks, and we're very rude in telling us so. Finally at about 915 it a made very clear we were wanted to leave. Rudely cleaning the table as we were still eating. Putting the lights on full. Tapping and banging on the wall to add urgency. By 930 we were forced out. Additionally vegetarian and beer choices were very limited. Even less than the lines veggie menu. Will avoid in future.

In town for a two day conference, tired, cold and hungry I sought out a taste of the far flung East Med, away from the maddening Friday night London crowd, to put me in a sunny mood during this miserable May. My search led me here, where I met exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff who served me equally exceptional, unpretentious food in a relaxed, clean and atmospheric, homely diner - and without breaking the bank, as is the capital’s usual want. I’ll be back - as will you after your first visit. Peter, up from not always so Sunny Worthing!

In the middle of the meal there was this nice four legged company called mice that made an entrance. We felt disgusted and also felt the food was overpriced. Never again!!

Very racist owner and staff. Made fun of the way we spoke english for some reason. Berated us and told us to go back to our country if we don’t know how to speak properly, which is rich because I speak very fluently. Finally, insulted the fact that I’m vegetarian. Garbage restaurant and utterly horrible human beings - all the way from the restaurant owner to the waiting staff.

A cosy restaurant with a warm informal atmosphere. Very helpful staff and loved the food. Toilet facilities were clean. They are down a set of stairs, so might not suit customers who have difficulty tackling stairs. Meal was excellent value.

Had a booking that was cancelled last minute. They claimed to try contact me on my phone which didn't come through, even though they could have tried reaching my email which is how I made the reservation in the first place. Instead of apologising and showing sympathy, they responded with anger and rudeness. I can't comment on the actual food there. I would just recommend the staff to address customers with greater courtesy next time.

Been here multiple times in the past year and never had a bad meal. Really friendly staff and cosy restaurant. I've gone by myself and had my whole (small) office in for a lunch and everyone leaves happy.

Food was okay and the staff was friendly but in general it’s pretty far from the best Lebanese places I have been to. The hummus was just okay, baba ghanoush was extremely good. Grilled Halloumi cheese was good as well although it’s a question where it’s a Lebanese dish. The meat dishes were pretty average, the chicken was very dry to my taste. All of the meat dishes were accompanied with rice even though I would expect a bit more variety

Average value for money. Kind service. Atmosphere nothing special.
