Hmm this was a nice clean place, nice food but the service charge was high 12.5 %, the food portion was quite small, the price was a lot for the portions you get too which ain’t so great and you have to pay per person per meal @ minimum Can go to Bangbang and get better portions that will feed 3 hours for a fraction of the price!

Honestly so terrible, it was my first time visiting I went to celebrate my birthday, it seemed okay when we first walked in but they took pretty long to take our order even though there wasn't that many people there and most importantly I received the wrong dish, I ordered the crispy seafood noodles, there was an option to have it soft but I opted for crispy and made it pretty clear for the waitress double checking after my order but I received the soft noodles and after asking the male server about it he insisted that it was crispy noodles, not soft with no sorry or explanation, obviously he was blatantly lying as it is a dish I often order at various restaurants and could clearly tell it was not crispy at all. Frankly, it ruined my mood and birthday dinner. The food is quite overpriced, £9.80 for 4 pieces of dumplings and the other dishes my family ordered were not that great, below average cantonese food, I'd say you're better off going to Wing Yip to eat. Steer clear super disappointing!

Good chinese food, I used to eat here 10 years ago and after passing by again after so long the food is just as good It might not be the best looking resturant inside but the staff are really nice and the food is worth going for I really don't know why it took me so long to return but since my first recent visit I have been back 4 times in 3 weeks and I'm a fussy eater so you know it's good

I frequently visit this Chinese restaurant during my lunch breaks due to its convenient location and delicious food. I often meet clients here for business lunches as well. The food is good, the restaurant itself is nice , clean and comfortable, staff, particularly the ladies, are very welcoming, pleasant. However, there is a male staff member who consistently behaves in an unpleasant manner, he has never once greeted me warmly or responded to any pleasantries shown him . He speaks very good English BTW. jToday, I called ahead to place an order as I was in a rush, and unfortunately, this same gentleman was rude to me over the phone. As a result, I have decided that I will not be returning to this establishment as I prefer to support businesses that value and appreciate my patronage.

I ordered seafood n bean curd hot-pot unfortunately I ended up eating just bean curd with two peaces of squid one oyster and one prawn

A real Cantonese dim sum away from crowded tourist district, good price.

Great place to stop for lunch and have some Dim Sum. Dishes are reasonably priced and very nice bright and comfortable atmosphere inside. The crispy squid cakes were gorgeous and the sesame wrapped prawns were fantastic too!

Lovely experience. The egg fried rice is simple but delicious and veggie sprig rolls are so good.

I had a good lunch in this restaurant. Took duck and boiled rice, it was very good. We took also some small pork bbq ribs and I couldn’t say the same because there was no meat, it was only bones. Maybe the service has to be improved, the restaurant wasn’t that full, the menu was rich of dishes so I had to take my time to choose but the waiter came two times by me to ask If we were ready to order. Next time I suggest to be more patient. Globally, I can say it’s a good restaurant

Couldn't find the site for Duck Duck Goose on Kilburn High Road, but apparently they're the same company. Excellent varied menu. But friends have complained that quality is a hit and miss when ordering with the smaller stature person taking the order. This will deter clients from returning and good quality food as advertised should be adhered to whether it's for a group of less.

The restaurant's exterior may not be particularly appealing, but once inside, you'll find a clean and bright interior. The food is truly delicious, with a standout dish being the incredibly flavorful crispy roast pork.

Two things happened tis evening. The first is that I ordered veg dim sum and actually got veg dumplings. In other words, not the dish I had ordered. The second thing is I ordered noodles with beansprouts. The noodles were barely warm. We go to this restsaurant regularly and I have felt for some time that the service is not what it should be. This evening I asked to speak to a manager, and there was no senior person to talk to about the situation.

Food comes out quite quickly after ordering. Would recommend.

Where shall I start, well I booked the reservation two days before the date, staff didn't have it all written down so didn't know of my reservation, the Restaurant was clearly not made up for valentine, and the lights were on quite bright (No mood settings at all)staff were not interested in serving we waited for ages and the restaurant wasn't even busy for a 8pm booking, usually I do love Chinese food, but honestly not this time, the staff were laughing and talking really loudly, inconsiderate of all patrons, this is a miss, plus overpriced for the meal that was requested .... STAY AWAY !!!

Chanced upon this place because it was close to our accommodation. Amazing tasty food, set menu for 2 was delicious.

Would love to give 5* as the food was excellent and the final bill reasonable, at £60pp, with a lot of alcohol! We always order loads of starters and less mains, which was a wise decision as all of the starters were excellent but the mains average; special fried rice was decent, crispy noodles with char siu was OK, Crispy Chilli Beef was very soggy and incredibly spicy (know it's meant to be but this was way too hot) and the king prawns with garlic was awash with black pepper. What ruined the evening though was a), at the end, there were literally no desserts available apart from a sweet omelette which was just unpleasant and fried custard bun which we didn't even attempt! How hard is it to have some fresh fruit, ice cream, lychees? B) No disabled facilities. Fortunately, I am not wheelchair-bound but have a massive hernia and there are no toilets of the ground floor. How? In this day and age, and in the woke borough of Camden - inconceivable. Such a shame - could have been awesome!

Forget Four Seasons, Goldmine etc - the best Roast Duck in town is here. And so reasonable Other stellar Cantonese dishes - Lobster noodles, Steamed bass, abalone with shredded duck soup, bitter melon in egg yolk, sea spice aubergine. Their dimsum is great too. We have never come back disappointed. It's truly a gem Average price £40 pp with service.

£80 for set 3 people, 3 rices and no extra mains dishes for the upgrade from 2 to 3 people so not enough food! All dishes were FAR too sweet,(so much sugar added to all of the dishes). Really disappointing when the food used to be good from here. I’m assuming they have a new chef? Won’t be ordering again!!

I love the whimsy name but don’t let that fool you, they do serious Cantonese food here. PRO: - They do some good food here! - Very reasonable prices - Soup broth was correctly seasoned - Silky seafood dim sum, delicious! - Nice staff, accommodated our request to change the temperature - Great tea (not standard green tea, very aromatic) CON: - My takeaway for Hong Kong Style Beef Chow Mein Noodles was in small containers SUMMARY: Overall a very good 1st visit! I’ll be back to try more on the menu

I’ve been a loyal customer of Duck Duck Goose for the past 5 years and loved their food. However, after their recent price increase I feel it’s no longer worth the price and have stopped ordering from there.

I love the food and service is excellent.

We used to love coming here. Over the past year , it has declined. Food quality gone down down down hill. They seam more interested in deliveries than their actual customers. No one ate. Was still charged full price. Not going back. The lobsters think they’re at home. I would not eat one. The place is just not busy enough to convince me they’re fresh. Salad was black in parts dry and pointless.

'3 types of meat with rice' was good

The food is good, but this review is reflective of when I put an order down for a whole duck, which they should always know and know quickly if there isn't stock. It was placed mid autumn festival which is a busy period, but it was showing available on ubereats at 630pm. I placed the order 7pm. 45 minutes later the driver arrived, however it was until 845 pm that the order was cancelled. This is unacceptable, a simple cancel beforehand would have saved a lot of trouble for my family to find an alternative but the management believed it was better to let the situation resolve itself. However it doesnt, I go to ddg Finchley every other month but I order from ddg express every week. My name is Jason and that store knows my order every week. However no longer, I'd rather just get it from goldmine or four seasons at bayswater as they don't cancel orders two hours after

Strong recommendations as a Chinese local. Holistically speaking, the best Chinese restaurant so far in London from a price/quality ratio perspective. As we were scouting Chinese restaurant to host our classmates, two of us did 3-4 dishes menu testing. All came out as 8-9 out of 10. Hence we brought our classmates here, 22-3ppl for two tables, 10+ dishes per table. Almost everybody was happy about EVERY SINGLE dish! Cost ~45/ppl as we ordered a lot. Normally it should be around ~40￡ Just name A few of my personal favourites: stewed lamb in a pot, fried squids, roasted duck (eaten in two ways), Toufu/shrimp pot, Pork Belly (梅菜扣肉).. Lovely waitresses too, smiling and helpful. 10% off when payment in cash.

Lovely food and portions, so tasty and perfect to curb my cravings.

Food was high quality and delicious. It wasn't greasy and also not too salty, actually almost a little on the plain side which is better for health. Staff was quick and friendly. Also enjoyed the large room and the decor. Price was on the steep side but the quality of food made it worthwhile.

Very over price super small portions my last visit

I went here 4 years ago and the food was 1st class. This evening it was very poor - everything was over cooked, the duck was so dry you could find any meat. Sweet and sour chicken again, sooo dry the chicken had been lost. Rice poor and the vegetables in a see of gulp. Afraid I won’t be going back such a shame as staff nice and venue clean.

The best (Chinese / Cantonese ) food in the town. The restaurant are Clean and food are delicious. You must try the seafood dishes , super fresh and delicious. 5 stars ⭐️

My favourite restaurant in London. An amazing place. Always feels like home.

Decided we would treat ourselves and go out for dinner on Friday on a date night. There are several restaurants around the area but as we had been to this restaurant a few times before we thought we would go there! Turned up and was seated, had a look at the menu then the lady came to take out drinks, ordered them and she came back to take our food order. We decided we would go for the set meal for two option (£28pp) but as my boyfriend doesn’t like sweet and sour we wanted to change 2 of the options for like for like priced meat dishes, the server straight away said NO in quite a rude way, when we asked why not she said we would have to pay an additional £5 to do this we questioned this for her to storm off, return to our table showing us three fingers and saying it will be £3 extra each to swap the two dishes!! I wasn’t happy with that so she called another lady over to the table who was extremely abrupt saying the chef will only allow you to change one option on the set menu and if we didn’t agree tjen we should choose ala carte!! Excuse me but surely the chef cooks what the customer wants! Who is the chef to dictate?! All of this was highly embarrassing as there were a couple sitting basically next to us in close proximity! As we felt so humiliated we left ordering no food at all and went to an amazing Chinese in Chalk Farm La Kwan Fai which was delicious and worth every penny of the £94 we spent that evening!! Clearly this restaurant is doing that well it can afford to send customers away, although looking at it when we went in, it was very quiet! We unfortunately won’t be returning back and will be letting others know of this terrible service received

Good tasty roast duck. There are other dishes as well of my liking but my children love their roast duck dish. A must try if you visiting Swiss Cottage or Finchley shopping centre.

It was my fav spot to go for 2 years until they increase the price massively… A bowl of rice costs £4.5, is that a JOKE? Three small dishes: half duck/crispy pork (very little duck), a tofu, a veggie costed £80 for the 2 of us. Get a grip

Really disappointing meal. Seafood & Coriander soup had one piece of squid and one prawn in it, hardly a seafood soup. Sweetcorn Crabmeat soup had one tiny piece of crab in the soup. I feel like I wasted my time and money this evening. Never again will I order from this restaurant and I do not recommend it. Zero stars!

Plan to have nice Sunday lunch with children. But they got everything to ruin us. Found HAIR on the dish and the manager took the dish and not been received and apology and got a charge for the dish. Normal circumstances either not to charge for the dish or make an offer on the meal discount but they certainly do not have any local knowledge nor fairness. We spend closed to £100 inclusive of service charge and I am going to report to heigine authority. Real pity that they do not have common sense and service mentality.

Good restaurants to stop by. But we had a dish with a hair. Manager confirmed the hair but we have been charged for the dish, how can be? So I've not pay for the service charge which was 12.5% of the total bill. Still made our family lunch not so pleasant.

Always amazing hk style Chinese food

Had dinner there one night. As the restaurant prouds themselves with roost duck, it was just mediocre compared to roost ducks elsewhere. Service was a disaster. The waiter did not check whether we need any beverages once we finished food order and simply walked away. We finally ordered a so-called Chinese tea but it didn't tasted authentic, rather it tasted artificially flavored. A waitress seemed to be the restaurant owner tried to ignore us and even stopped another female server who was trying to serve us with no reason, while showing peculiar passion to other customers. P.S. we were not trouble making/mean customers. Waiters were too keen in clearing the table, were stacking too many dishes in one time and ended up spilling sauce onto table and customer. (Not our table)

Really nice Chinese restaurant. Been meaning to go for ages and went yesterday. Had the set menu for two which was excellent. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Nice atmosphere, great food, nice staff. Will go again. :^)

I live around Swiss Cottage and had a good time every time I ate here. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend it if you are looking for authentic Cantonese food!

Went with family for dinner after having a recent good experience here. We ordered 3 wonton soups...the broth was nothing more than warm water!!!!! to which we sent back and staff apologised. Last time it was what it should be. Main course came, ordered a dish with egg fried rice...it was just boiled rice. Plus ordered egg fried rice, it was boiled rice with a little egg in it. I pointed it out & was told the rice had egg in it, & again pointed out that it was not egg fried rice. I then was offered 20% of the bill. There's to much inconsistencies in this restaurant across the board.

One of us ordered Baked Crab, priced (from memory) at £38. When this arrived, significant amounts of crabmeat were missing, having presumably been scooped out of the shell sections in the kitchen before being served. This was a significantly different dish from that served on our last visit, only at most a couple of months ago - that one included a proper serving of crabmeat. This one did not. Not surprisingly, the diner whose main course this was to be entered into a discussion with wait staff, who initially tried, with a straight face, to contend that what had been served was as normal. This explanation was not accepted and the missing sections were pointed out as clear evidence that what the kitchen was presumed to have done was not appropriate (euphemism). Yes, the restaurant cancelled any charge for the dish but made no real effort to apologise or offer the menu so an alternative dish could be ordered. So, how does one rate a place that tries a bad trick? In this case the overall rating of Poor is based on the other food served having been quite good. Had the other dishes been any less good the rating would have been Terrible We are unlikely to be rushing back for dinner again soon.

Sweet and sour pork was very nice, the sauce didn't taste too tangy or artificial and there was a decent amount of pork. Szechuan boiled fish in chilli oil, one of my favourite dishes of all time, did not disappoint except I ordered the version without mushrooms and found it had mushrooms when I got home. Singapore noodles made my eyes roll and my feet dance, it was that tasty. It had a mild smokiness to it and the flavour was spot on. Special fried rice was fresh but tasted just okay. Not sure I'd order it again. Beef in black bean sauce was yummy, not overly salty, which I find with a lot of restaurants, the beef was not chewy. An issue with service was raised (someone was served before me even though they arrived after me) and I received an apology. All in all this was a very good take-out experience. I've been before and I would visit again.

Had a great time on Sunday with my family there. The meal and service was outstanding! Definitely will repeat again soon.

Ordered take away dim sum yesterday with a friend and the shrimp was uncooked. We noticed half way through, and had to stop eating.

Visited the restaurant today after some good experiences over the past year. The service was truly awful. A number of dishes weren't available, but there was no hint of an apology. When taking our order the waitress repeatedly walked away from our table to go and deal with something in the corner of the room - this was AS we were ordering! And when we'd finally got through the food order she disappeared again without asking what we wanted to drink. The food was also very poor in comparison with recent visits. Will not be returning and I'd advise others to visit Green Cottage a few doors down where the food and service is so much better. What a shame, as we've enjoyed visiting this restaurant in the past, but the staggeringly rude waitress has put me off for good!

We enjoyed a variety of food and all were deemed very good. My Szechuan chicken was just spicey enough and my wife's prawn dim sum was tasty.

Was ignored for most of time, waited for food for nearly an hour. And on top food came quite cold. Not recommending this place.

Previously left a 5 star review of this restaurant, since then, it has gone down hill! Took my daughters here for a meal today and was shocked by the smell of tobacco smoke coming from the kitchen (not ideal with a small baby). The service was slow and the food was okay, but nowhere near as good as pre covid.

The experience here was okay. Had heard about the crispy duck, so gave this place a try. The service was bad. Waitress was not friendly. We went with a 3 year old and the waitress was quite rude. Food was okay. We had requested for shrimps in schezwan sauce we got some other dish. We felt uncomfortable at the place the way the waitress treated us. Definitely not a kid friendly place.

We're a bit shocked at the severe decline in quality of food here! Before the pandemic, we ate at this place so much. Now we're just staring at the food we've ordered in pure shock. We used to love the vegetarian options including the steak and it is so bad now, in both taste and texture, I'm really shocked. I was asking whether it was maybe the wrong restaurant we ordered from?!?! We can't order here again. No way. And after they give you a VERY VERY tiny portion of food for £12, they don't even add side of rice for you. Never again.

Really unfriendly staff! I went in there cause a friend told me they had the best dumplings so I wanted to try them. The waiter told me the min spent was 20 pounds and I couldn’t have only the dumplings. So I told him I would get something else after to complete the 20 pounds. He came back 5 min later saying that the vegetable dumplings were finished…… sureee. So I left

Dim sum is really good as are clay pot dishes, but sometimes they don’t offer the full dim sum menu (initially due to covid but seems ongoing?)

Fresh, tasty , delicious food. We loved the steamed vegetable dumplings, they seemed very high end! & also great vegan / veggie options. Always a go to for us if we fancy a laid back but delicious meal

Went to Duck Duck Goose, must say I was very disappointed with the service. The waitress laughed at our query and then walked away. No respect or patience until we finished our questions. Ordered Szechuan vegetarian chicken, but was served sweet-sour veg chicken that was not up to standard. The food was below par. I would recommend Bang Bang for authentic Chinese food. As a Malaysian- the food and service were just disappointing. the have the conscience to add a service charge for a service that was not provided. Will never recommend nor return.

Delicious dumplings on a cool spring night in London. Chinese tea hit the spot! Visiting from the US and really enjoyed my light dinner after a long day.

Great coice of Chinese dishes and good service

We went to the O2 cinema and were looking for somewhere to eat. We hadn't booked. We were 7 adults and 6 children. I walked into the restaurant and was greeted by a smiling lady I wasn't expecting them to accommodate us as we were 14 I total and hadn't book but they moved the tables and we all sat down together. The food was delicious. The noodles, dimsum, satay, veg noodles. We ate so much food and the portions are gr8. I forgot to take photos because we were too busy eating. The staff were great, really efficient and experienced. I would definitely go back. I fed myself and 2 children for around £50.

Wonderful restaurant, great atmosphere, fabulous food will definitely be visiting again we usually get takeaway from here which is just as great

Fast service and good choice of food

Orange coloured spring rolls, supermarket ones reheated in old cooking oil? Colourless tasteless dim sum with the texture of cardboard mixed with chewing gum. Yuck yuck yuck. A family member shared it with me and had a stomach ache soon after.

Lovely local spot both for simple dine in or take out. Love their Pekin duck & pancakes dish
