It was so good. I have to come back and I live 30 mins away . You have to try the food. It was so tasty

Got here 21.45 to collect my to good to go bags, that I've just purchased and the place is closed according to the app they close at 10pm.

Food just wasn't tasty, rice and peas was a bit mushy and flavourless, jerk had no depth in flavour, staff were polite and I wasn't waiting too long, price was also decent but the food just wasn't it

Great food. Great ambience. Great customer service. Awesome restaurant and takeaway on Bensham Lane, halfway between Croydon and Thornton Heath. A wide range of delicious Jamaican dishes, soups, condiments, desserts, natural juices and punches.

Ordered food through the too good to Go app. So you don't know what you are going to receive and what I did to receive was absolutely delicious The jerk wings and sweet chili wings worth mouth wateringly good. My children absolutely loved the festival so I didn't even get a lookin to try them. The stewed chicken meal and curry chicken meal were large and full of flavour Oxtail meal was absolutely divine. The staff were kind courteous and friendly and I would highly recommend this takeaway to anybody who wanted an authentic delicious Caribbean meal After my first meal and review I returned for a second time and was not disappointed I had five meals to share with my family Curry goat with white rice and plantain 😋 Jerk chicken noodles 😋 Fish fried fry dumplings 😋 Spicy shrimp and veg rice 😋 Spicy king prawns 😋 To much to list so much variety and on point yet again Please People get out and support local businesses in these uncertain times

Good sized portions. Tasty food.

Great tasting Caribbean food with a wide variety to select from. They open till late and there is parking around. If your ever in the area you should pop in. You will not be disappointed.

Waited long time for my order (didn't mind) only to be told cash only when it was ready! Apparently the internet was down in the area so couldn't do card? Had to go down the road to cash machine which charged me to get money out! Never again! Chicken was a bit pink inside too!

The First time trying this place it did not disappoint was recommended by a friend to try the fish Friday menu which was divine lovely seabass cooked to perfection and the sides what come with it delightful. Went a second time and the food was not great it ran my mums belly and the taste was not the same will not be going back guess it was a one off

I frequently purchase my lunch from Mina's Caribbean takeaway. The stew chicken with rice and peas is simply delicious. I can only say the chef puts his whole heart into preparing this meal. Well done chef. I love the way you interact with the customers and go well beyond to ensure that we are satisfied. You ensure that you serve my food just the way i love it with the right amount of gravy sauce. Chef, i shared my lunch today with the staff at work and they all swore how good it was. You can surely good. Purchased Caribbean lunch in so many takeaways in Brixton but i can only reassure you that there is none like yours. Well done Chef. I look forward to buying your lunch. Keep smiling and communicating with the customers. We truly appreciate you.

Ordered for my family. Spent over £40. Where do I start.. 2 desserts were missing. Children could not eat as the food was drenched in pepper, the jerk chicken was all bone. Ordered 2 plain rice and received rice and peas. Only thing correct in the order was the drinks.

Terrible. Large Jerk chicken was all bone. I eat carribean food, I'm used to the different cuts of meat - but this was just bones, nothing on them.. not even one mouthful even if you used a knife. Rice was crazy hot. Again, I'm used to scotch bonnets - there were just too many in this. And the portion was tiny! for what was it £8+ a few spoonfuls of rice and bone. On top of all this they charged my card twice, then refused to refund second payment until the manager got there 5 hours later.... by then I was out the area. Inedible.. expensive... and rude staff. Never again. 0/10 Save your money, go somewhere else

Great Caribbean food, really authentic and very different never tasted anything like it before was very surprised at how the food tasted and the rum was fantastic.

A lovely smile is waiting for you here. It feels like been in the Caribbean, at one of the food street stalls on the way to the beach. Or maybe it was the sun...I had goat curry (medium size £7) which comes with coleslaw salad. And what looks like a Cornish pastry but it's not. It's made with flour with beef and cheese (lots of fillings to choose from). Something very unique! The curry was spicy, the meat tender and tasty and the side salad crunchy and not to sweet. Still 3 stars though. It's very heavy and you feel it the following day, hanging in your stomach. I'll be give it another go, though. Something lighter.;-)

THIS IS THE WORST CARIBBEAN SHOP IN HERNE HILL, SERVICE IS OK BUT THE FOOD IS THE WORST ORDERED CURRY GOAT RICE AND PEAS AND WHEN I GOT HOME THE MEAT WAS RED INSIDE, I JUST THROW THE WHOLE THING IN THE BIN, I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK THERE

if I could give zero stars I would! I ordered a main meal with plantain festival and dumpling, the main meal didn't arrive neither did the festival. I called the restaurant and the person I spoke to wasn't very friendly or helpful just told me he'd send the rest of the food later as they didn't have that right now, totally unacceptable, you shouldn't accept the order if you don't have the ingredients, especially if its the main meal! on top of that the measly side dishes that arrived were stone cold and not even warmed up, and not nice at all, I threw it all in the bin. absolutely disgusting service!

I really like carribean food but I don't like the way there so tight I asked for large I got small and it was warm curry goat should be served hot but I got it warm had nice flavour. c Curry should be served hot not warm NOT cold

Small portions, jerk pasta way too spicy to enjoy, coleslaw looked like someone had ate it and then spat it back out.. watery, crushed and sloppy. Cabbage was nice (not mixed steam veg as described) mac n cheese was ok but too buttery/oily. Liked that Breadfuit is available its so beautiful but overpriced.

I ordered a curry goat (with rice and peas) and instead received rice and peas (with curried bones). 90% of the dish was a bed of (not very fresh) rice and peas with very bony curry goat...which cost and arm and a leg. Very disappointing. The premium part of the meal is what everyone pays for (meat) but it seems the restaurateurs don't want to be fair in their dealings. I ordered a dish which was unavailable (but still advertised) and had to waste time contacting Uber Eats and the restaurant several times to resolve. I also ordered a soup (small), asking for no food just mutton (because I normally get robbed with it being filled with dough/dumpling)...what did I receive? Yes, hard food and no meat. I paid £4 odd for that small portion of what I didn't ask for. I really want to support black businesses but this is precisely the reason why I can't (especially with Jamaicans). You're the Lord's people and don't even know it, otherwise you'd be righteous in all your dealings big and small. Uno fi stop teefing people money and the Lord might bless your talent with more repeat/customers! Disgraceful dealings and uno know what you're doing too. Fix your spirit and heart and God will bless and do the rest.

I should have checked the reviews...The order delivered wasnt exactly right but I could have lived with it. However, the very greasy curry and very greasy acky and salfish and the inedible festival wouldnt even deserve 1 star. I think the festival was a leftover from last month that has been reheated in a microwave. Plantains were dry and greasy as my son's fried chicken. Overall a very disapointing experience.

If I could give no stars I would. I ordered the jerk pasta and it was so pepper that it was inedible, it tasted as if they let a whole scotch bonnet burst on the small portion. The hot flavour was all to cover up the fact that the pasta and chicken had no jerk flavour at all!
