A lovely enchanting setting, decorated ready for Halloween. There were only 4 people in the queue before but it still took 23 minutes to be served. The £2.90 hot chocolate was a small scoop of powder in a mug with hot water added. No frothy milk or decent hot chocolate powder. Extremely disappointing. To think what a huge profit they must make on each jar of basic hot chocolate powder. I won't be returning. I'll take a flask of delicious hot chocolate with me next time and sit in the picnic area.

Really dissapointed for the second time staff obviously dont know about natashas law, i have dietary requirements but was not asked, three times my husband said please do not put butter on the bacon and DRY toast, when it came out i asked the assustant there is no butter on that is there as we requested 3 times, at no point did she apologise just abruptly turned round and went back to the kitchen, she came back out with a plate and i rightly asked you didnt put that bacon onto fresh toast, he face spoke volumes she walked away with my plate and reappeared with two plates saying see thats the one with butter .she was extremely rude and zero customer service , i dont think i will ever return. Tip Train them on the law.

I never knew they were there!!! amazing!! Such an exciting find and so wonderful - like a voyage of discovery. Exciting structures paths and plants and signs. The food and drink menu was super from basic to basic plus. Loads on offer and the coffee was quite good the bacon roll was ace. A great little place even at lockdown and will use regularly.

If you like quirky with your coffee you've come to the right place! Mimosa is a lovely little cafe in the heart of Eastham Woods with great coffee, delicious cakes, friendly staff and a fantastic eye for the unusual. There are themed outdoor eating areas with heaters and blankets when it gets a bit chilly. The atmosphere is always welcoming no matter how many dogs you bring! I love the cottage garden ambience and really appreciate being served a hot drink in a non paper/plastic cup! The rustic feel is perfect. Such a peaceful pleasant place to round off a walk in the woods.

This has obviously had some money spent on it to give alittle more shelter when it rains. Tables to sit out doors front or in the garden with a little shelter or inside the narrow room with paintings on the wall if you are wanting to purchase one. Small wait for hot toasties when busy but freshly cooked. Very popular with families and dog walkers. They sell nuts for squirrels if wanted. A payment for parking it cost me £1 for two hours, This isn’t a lot but it’s unacceptable to have to pay at a local country park. If using a wheel chair or mobility aid i would advise that you sit in the picture area indoors via the car park as the garden area is narrow and on different levels.

I love this little cafe! It's changed quite a bit over the last few years but it keeps getting better and better! It has mismatched tables dotted about in corners and nooks, some with gazebo shelter overhead, some in the open. One of the nicest visits was a warm day when it started to rain lightly and we sat outside undercover enjoying our coffee and cake. The food has improved a lot from a couple of year's ago and now offers good coffee and home made refreshments. There are interesting garden signs and ornaments all round and a private garden which is open to look at whilst you queue which is full of figures land decorations! There are toilets in the next building along the lane so you do have to leave the cafe to go which is not so good if there on your own with little ones but this is the only drawback I think.

After muddy, cold and tyring walk around Eastham Park we popped in Mimosa Tea Garden for a welcome drink. For quite a small place it seats a lot of people. You are surrounded by cute signs and ornaments and due to the surrounding scenery there are Sparrows, Robins and Black Birds buzzing around you as you relax. There is a quaint atmosphere and the staff are very helpful. A young child knocked a table of drinks over shortly after we arrived and they quickly replaced the drinks free of charge and cleaned the table. Neither me or my companion ate in the restaurant but we did see the food others were being brought and it looked very nice. We ordered 2 drinks, a latte and a tea, these were priced similar to your normal high street coffee chains. Very surprisingly when we requested skimmed/semi skimmed Milk, we were told they don't offer it, as there was no demand. I found this rather puzzling, I don't really know anyone these days who doesn't use green or red top. I didn't like to push my luck and ask for my usual almond or soya milk. That aside the drinks were very nice, the coffee was really good. The whole trip was pleasurable and we will definately visit again.

This tea room is a gem for reasonably priced meals and a drink before or after a lovely stroll through Eastham woods. It's a quirky tea garden catering very much for passing business. No indoor area to speak of but there is some under cover space. If you don't like dogs then avoid,! The garden could do with a bit of a spring clean which would not lose any of the quirkiness but would smarten it up a bit. It is very dependent on the weather given the lack of indoor space so staffing the kitchen and service area is not always quick so avoid if in a rush. All that said I go back time and time - it is value for money.

I often pop into the Mimosa Tea Garden whilst walking my dog in Eastham Woods. The staff are friendly and it does take time to receive your order, but that ok by me when it arrives freshly made and served with a smile. It's never over priced, and we always manage to find a table surrounded by the most quaint garden objects/animals. A robin often flies down to take the crumbs off your table whilst you are sitting quietly after finishing your food.Of the 3 cafe's available in Eastham, this is certainly the best.

The staff have two service speeds, slow and very slow. You order at the counter so if there's no-one queueing then go for it, but if there are more than two people in front of you prepare to be standing in the queue for at least 20 mins. (even if you're just after an ice cream). This isn't a review from a single experience but from a number of visits at weekends and midweek. It drives me mad because in the sunshine it's a lovely spot but soooooooo frustrating. They need a better system or an extra pair of hands. The food is fine but not sufficiently fantastic to justify the poor service.

We love this place usually. It's so cute and quaint and we've never had any issues before so I can only assume that the gorgeous weather today was the reason that after our visit we have decided to not go back. Clearly the sunshine had shocked the staff today. There were two girls serving/making things and they couldn't cope. Even though there was a queue of about 6 behind us, at the time they had no rush about them. They hardly any of the food we ordered (and that was on the menu) - no eggs, no brown bread etc - and when the food came it was shocking. It took 40 minutes to butter two pieces of white bread and throw some tuna on, and to make a cheese toastie. There was no salad or coleslaw as stated on the board and although there was an apology for the length of time it had taken there was no apology for the lack of food on the plate. It was busy, I'll give them that, but during the hour or so we were there twenty of those minutes were wasted stood in the queue and whilst we sat for the forty minutes waiting for the food, the queue did not go down and every person took at least five minutes to serve even if just an ice cream! It's such a shame because on a lovely day like today it should have been so lovely sitting there enjoying the scenery (and the food) but we won't be going again (on a sunny day anyway!).

Despite the weather being wet and grey walking in the woods the charmingly eccentric surroundings when we entered cheered us up no end! We had bacon on toast made with brown bread, prepared from fresh so it took a few minutes but it was so perfectly prepared it was well worth the wait. Big mugs of tea revived us as we sat undercover watching the rain fall in this delightful garden.

This tearoom was recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. SO quaint and full of charm. Staff wonderful, chirpy and eager to please. Sandwiches delicious and fabulous cakes all reasonably priced. Had PROPER coffee and a chocolatey hot chocolate with all the trimmings. Can't wait to visit again

My wife and I often walk our dog in the Eastham country park and stop off at the Mimosa for their hot chocolate topped with marshmallows which always puts a smile on my wifes face. A lovely little tea room, very animal friendly and with a good choice of hot and cold food and drinks.

We didn't visit on the best of days, damp and grey but I remembered the tea rooms as a splash of colour. Maybe they'd be better closing during the rougher weather as it looked tired and grubby. How you can make a coffee with a functioning espresso machine that is lukewarm escapes me. Not going to rush to return.

Back in the area visiting family. This used to be a regular haunt for me, but now... Eugh! The kitchen was filthy, staff running it had dirty hands, and the girl serving us "adjusted her trousers" as she served. The coffee was not even lukewarm and the tea weak. Why couldn't I just have a pot?Gallery area freezing cold and absolutely filthy. Not going back, sorry.

Stumbled across this place on Sunday, such a nice atmosphere and vibe to the place. Staff were lovely, also dogs were welcome which is nice, but you could avoid them if its not your thing!

This is a family favourite of ours. Post walk or ride, in Eastham country park or even after a 'blow the cobwebs away' winter stroll.. Always fresh coffee and cakes, hot snacks and ice cream in unique surroundings. A hidden gem. Dogs welcome there are always a few bowls to slake their thirst.

Visited this quirky but very welcoming tea garden today after a very enjoyable dog walk in Eastham Woods. It's not often you are welcomed anywhere with your dogs, so this is a treasure of a place and one I will return to again and again.Food was good, and the dogs enjoyed a biscuit each. Thoroughly recommend this place.

An interesting garden cafe, some would say quirky, adjacent to the Eastham Country Park Ranger's Office. Small front garden with a number of tables and chairs is a little deceiving a beyond the gallery of a narrow room is the much larger rear garden with lots of seating in and out of the sun. Each of the little areas landscaped differently and surrounded by trees.Didn't have a meal but the chocolate cake is good as was the tea.

What delights await beyond the trees....... just like Alice in Wonderland , go through the door , walk through the " tunnel " and enter a little quirky world of pleasure and delight. Totally dog friendly , areas of shade and sun so lots to choose from in terms of seating . The menu was in itself a tad quirky and I totally enjoyed the sausage cheese and onion suprise butty ! .For an extra few pence salad and coleslaw was added and it was delightful .This place is an absolute " find " ... a little treasure ... and one we will be returning to again and again .

A great cafe to complement a walk in the woods or along the Mersey. It knows what it wants to be - an unpretentious place to grab a drink and bite to eat. The staff are friendly and efficient. All the seating areas are comfortable and the landscaping is obviously a labour of love. The only downside is it's so popular that at times it can take a while to order. Take your time and you're sure to make it a regular port of call.

This is a little gem of a tea garden secreted in the midst of Eastham Woods (next to the car park). What charms is its ecleticism, with deliberately mis-matched furniture and objets d'art in every nook and cranny; every time you turn you head there is something else to captivate the imagination. An outside space in the main, altho plenty of cover provided and a few seats also inside. Have been in the middle of winter for hot choc and cake, and it works just as well then! They serve hot and cold drinks, ices, and really good homemade cake. Wish we'd taken some photos, but we couldn't wait to indulge!Highly recommend, if you like rustic charm and a bit of an adventure. Dogs also welcome and, if I'm not mistaken, dog biscuits also on sale.Would have got a 5star, but some parts could do with a lick of paint - didn't spoil the experience though.

It is a quirky and some what tacky place to have a sandwich/drink, but more importantly it needs a thorough clean. We sat in the 'gallery' to have our toasties which turned out to be most off putting. Cleanliness must be a priority where food is eaten. There were cobwebs (and their residents) on the walls/ceiling. Together with the dusty musky smell all made our experience eating here quite unpleasant. The gallery area needs a thorough clean. I suppose the dirty floor can be excused due to the walkers coming in, but there is no excuse for the dirty dusty surroundings where diners have to sit and eat.

What a wonderful place. I visit it regularly and it's always a delight. Lovely menu with loads of variety and including local sausages to die for! Even special touches such as good salad dressings etc that many cafés just can't get right. Drink selections also include herbal teas and elderflower water, so really serving a wide range of tastes. Dog friendly, even selling bags of doggie pick n mix and providing water. The surroundings are special too,a curious place with nooks and crannies and curios. Add the friendliness of the staff and it all adds up to a delightful place to spend a leisurely lunch. The surrounding area is beautiful for a walk but this cafe is worth seeking out just in it's own right.
