Terrible Rude to their own staff Big black hair in the chicken madrass We was told we are all human and these things happen. Don't waste your money !!

There’s a reason I find myself coming back to the Millon time and time again… Great food full of flavour and spice. Generous portions, a team that is so friendly and make your evening so enjoyable. Also a team that understand your needs as sometimes I fancy something different. So I leave it for the team to choose for me and they have never disappointed me. This time I had a mixed chicken lamb shashlik with a chilli masala sauce. The meats peppers and onions on the hot sizzler plate were amazing, the heat from the sauce was hot but with out being an inferno in your mouth so I picked up all the flavours in the sauce. Even now writing this my mouth is watering at the thought of the dish. See you again soon Millon and thanks.

Went for my daughters 15th birthday after a friend reccomended the millon. Staff were polite and attentive. Food was delicious. They gave my daughter a complimentary birthday mocktail and sang happy birthday whicn was a lovely touch. Will definitely return.

Third time here, absolutely brilliant place. Food amazing, staff really friendly. Highly recommended

It’s currently been 2 hours and I’ve not even had my main course. The lamb chops were dry, the presentation of the food was horrendous, I saw more of the plate than the actual food itself. I’m disgusted. Don’t even bother wasting ur money. Loved the interior design except the boarded window 😍😍

Just been for a meal tonight and the food was fantastic. We had papadums (5) and meat sharing starter, 2 curries, 2 rice, chips and naan bread along with 5 pints and 5 gins about £63, absolutely fantastic value for money. All food was excellent, ready tasty and will definitely be back.

Visited tonight as a party of 13. It was a disaster from start to finish. Never have we had to go to the bar in a restaurant every time we wanted drinks.. From being seated we waited 30 minutes before we received popadoms which unfortunately wasn’t accompanied by trays. An hour then passed before starters arrived with one of the starters unfortunately being raw prawns, these were taken to the bar and changed for another starter. After 2 hours of being in the restaurant with terrible service we eventually received our mains, the sides were lovely but each curry just tasted of oil and salt and the meats were really chewy. Their excuse was Ramadan but you shouldn’t allow your personal life to get in the middle of business, we was served lastly by a really happy chap that had told us he wasn’t a chef but had been helping out with cooking our foods tonight. Most definitely our worst experience over all at an Indian, we will definitely not be returning!

Been coming to the millon for 26 years had a lot of parties here over time me and my husband spent valentines night together and highly recommend the food service and hospitality to anyone wanting a really nice meal out I give 10/10 tonight and will be returning for a big party booking soon which is being arranged the staff are superb on every level keep up the good work guys 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️

After reading some of the negative reviews on here, we were in 2 minds whether to book. I’m so glad we went ahead with our booking and couldn’t fault anything at all about our visit. All the staff were friendly & attentive & willing to help (my wife has some mobility issues). Food was excellent - we had a good selection of starters (after the obligatory poppodoms), all delicious, but special mention for the spicy fish pakoras - highly recommended! Mains were equally as tasty & we left, full ti busting. The staff even brought a free cocktail for our son for his belated birthday, which was a nice gesture. Will definitely be back soon

Been coming here for years but will give it a wide berth now. Car park full so had to find else where to park . Drinks did arrive quickly but that was it , it became a long night. The reason for the delay in service they had two party’s in. Ask why that would impact on my order has I had booked a table not just walked in. Informed at one point food was on its way !!! but that took another 45 minutes. Offered a free drink “ refused “ informed around of drinks will be taken of the bill. Food came and While eating listening to other complaining. Both my son and daughter visit here and they have stopped visiting due to the poor service and a slipped in the Quality of the food .

Absolutely disgusting! The wine glasses were filthy, one had a crack in it. The food wasn’t bad but I was really unwell the next day, the girls behind the bar looked no older than 16 which is unacceptable. One of the staff members said some inappropriate things to my 15 year old daughter! I tried to tip a young girl and I was informed that she doesn’t even get to keep the tips which is a joke considering how hard they work! The staff are only bothered about the money and not the customers. The beer had a very weird smell and off taste. This was one of the worst experiences of my life I will never be returning. Can get better service at McDonald’s! If I could rate this lower than one star I would.

We visited this restaurant on Sunday. We were only the second couple to arrive around 4.30pm. We were concerned that the restaurant was empty but wow by 5pm the restaurant was packed. No wonder, the food was delicious the service was excellent with polite attentive staff. The quality of the food was excellent and very good value as the Sunday offer was on. We were not aware of the offer when we placed our order so were pleasantly surprised when we got the bill. We will be back with family and friends. Thank you.

We booked a table for our anniversary. When we got there the car park was full due to a wedding at the venue across the road. I parked a few streets away but was not happy as I knew I would have to walk back...

Went here on a quiet midweek evening. The service was impeccable and the food was lovely. We really enjoyed the starters and the mains were so tasty. The portions were he and we managed to take some home for the next day's lunch too!

Millon is a family favourite of ours, despite a half an hour drive we visit fairly often. Vegetarian options are great, most Indians just have your standard 'vegetable' option for curries but Millon offer Mushroom & Paneer options too. The quality of the food is always great and flavours are exquisite. If you want something a little hotter or milder, perhaps with saag even though it isn't on the menu, the staff are very happy to accommodate. Outstandingly friendly and wonderful staff, authentic and comfortable dining with top quality food. What's not to love?

Booked a table for four this evening to celebrate my sons birthday On arrival a young female member of staff sat us at a table only to be swiftly moved to another table by another male member if staff advising us that he table is reserved for someone who comes every week The same make make member of staff hastily sat us at the back of the restaurant at a table which wasn’t of staff, crockery almost thrown on the table We felt really uncomfortable and decided to leave A member of staff did attempted to “take over and rectify the issue” in his words, but by then evening was truly spoiled Have eaten in this restaurant several times and enjoyed their food in the past but will never go there againThey obviously treat their customers based on the number of attendances ! It made us feel horrible!Avoid!!!

Friendly staff and lovely, homely atmosphere. The meal was georgeous. I had the lamb shank which was beautiful,I wish I'd have taken a photo of it. We've been to this restaurant a few times now and it's always been lovely.

We have been to Millon a number of times over the last few years and have never been disappointed.

Been using this restaurant for the last couple of years by visiting and more so having takeaways delivered the food has always been good but the takeaway service started to be unreliable to the fact the items always missing from your order we carried on giving our custom in the hope that they would get it right as the food had been good tonight is the last time order wrong again Prawn Madras swimming in fat it was like a flavoured hot water ,garlic rice minus garlic, garlic corriander naan no garlic no coriander , chose set menu which we know extra charge for lamb chops we also had extra sauces as we do.on each takeaway delivery prices have not changed in menu but we got charged an extra £2.50,delivery driver wouldn't leave the receipt ? Last time we go here

It took over an hour after our starters (poppadoms) for the main courses to be brought out. When the meals are eventually brought out, they forgot the child's meal meaning the youngest and hungriest member of the group had to wait until last to get her meal. No apologies or explanations for the delay. Yes, it was the festive season but it was not actually particularly busy in the restaurant that evening.

Recently visited with a part of 11 people including children. The food here is always good, service is good and the atmosphere is also good. Decor is okay but the food far makes up for it. Staff are very attentive and nothing is to much trouble

WOW- where do i start, first i was invited so i checked the food rating and it was a 2 STAR, anyway i went because i did not want to upset my friend whos been once before(he later told me he didnt now about the rating untill a few days later)

Waiter (no hair) needs smile transplant, coughing over meal when bring it out without covering mouth. Other waiter excellent very attentive and smiles, Food = had better chicken quite chewy, would think twice before returning

Most delicious food in Oldham and always has been. Plenty of parking. Go here as often as we can otherwise we have a takeaway delivered. Very nice place with nice friendly staff.

Me and my fiance always go to Millon... he introduced me to this fab restaurant when we first met and we go on a regular basis. He probably scored brownie points for taking me as it's that good!! Generous portions and always good food...we have taken several members if our family and friends most of whom live over 20 miles away and they agree - best curry house in the land!

Another visit & yet another fantastic night with great company & great food. Once again I had the special mixed starter . Tandoori chicken pieces , lamb tandoori pieces , samosa , bhaji , a very tasty tandoori king prawn & the usual mixed salad. Very nice. My main was a special mixed balti with special mixed pilau rice. There was six of us dining & had varying dishes of differing spice levels . No one disliked what was presented in front of them . All delicious dishes as we shared each other's . Very reasonable prices to boot. Rounded off with coffees . £120 for six people all having two or more beers , wines or G&T;'s . All having a starter , main & rice with some extra side dishes . Usual curry starter of poppadums & chutneys etc. The staff are so welcoming & friendly & don't try to rush you . Always there to answer questions re allergies etc. My wife is coeliac & she never struggles to get a meal here. My go to place for a night out dining on Asian food.

As I don’t live too far away from Millon I regularly visit with my wife. We’ve never had a bad experience here and the food is always top notch.

My brother booked this restaurant for a meal and a catch up, he loves this restaurant and we have had take aways from here in the past.

A full car park greeted us , good sign . Not the most perfect location but easily found none the less. We were out on a long over due dinner date with very good friends. One couple have dined here for thirty plus years or if not here at the owners old , smaller place. The staff were extremely welcoming on arrival. Another good sign. We perused the menus & as my wife is coeliac , the manager went through every item she could or could not have . The main dining area was full with happy , smiling , laughing families of all ages.

I've used Millon many times but after today I think I'm unlikely to repeat the process. It started with the menu - boneless fish apparently contains bones! A typo!! Then ordered.... amd waited and waited....

First visit to Millon great experience food very good,service excellent staff could not do enough for you.We had a 3 month old baby with us and when she was nodding off they turned the back ground music down,great awareness of customer requirements.The atmosphere is very good made by the friendly staff.Will be going back.

The name works for me, for many many years we have been having our business meetings there, very warm atmosphere and friendly staff but most importantly the Lamb Nagawala with a garlic, coriander, chilli nan does the job for me, it's local for me and I sometimes think what would we do without Millon.

Reservado para un grupo grande, así que sabían de antemano los números. Los pedidos fueron tomadas (pero no nos quitaran los menús) y la espera comenzó. Llegamos bastante rápido (Papadoms no todos dieron el salsas entrantes) pero no siga hasta 90 minutos después de la orden original, e incluso errores en el platos. Las mesas no sirve en cualquier orden algunas algunas personas en una mesa había terminado una comida antes que otros habían servido (esto también pasó con el plato principal). La única urgencia era a recoger los platos después del plato principal (incluso si la gente aún comer) como el resto del restaurante estaba vacío. No sé si sirven los budines o café, ya que no nos preguntó si queríamos cualquier - probablemente porque querían cerca. En general, tardaron más de 3 horas de servicio. La comida era decente, pero la noche restaurante indio estándar mimado por personas viendo aquellos en la mesa de acabado su comida mientras espera para ser atendido. Comí mucho y este es uno de los peores servicios que he encontrado.

We went there day after Valentine's Day.as I was working on day before so we decide to try milon restuarant.When we arrived @7.30pm there we been asked to wait on the lounge but most of the restuarant table was empty only two tables was occupied.we been waiting for 20mins no one come back to us.Then I was asked them how long we have to wait to for the table.In reply They asked us are we ready to order then we can go table when food arrives.We asked for table then they give us a table.food was ok I must say its comes on time!!!Taste of foods average.when we finished and left the restuarant about 9.30pm the restuarant was still empty!!!

Cannot praise this restaurant enough. We went on valentines evening but we didn't want the set meal which was not a problem. We had a starter to share and a lovely meal each. My husband had mixed grill and I had mixed biriyani all the food was very nice and tasty. We asked for not much oil and that is just what they did. I also got a red heart helium balloon , a real red rose and a little box with two heart chocolates in as did all the ladies. The staff were all very very friendly and we will defiantly be going again. Well done to all

Our usual Christmas Eve venue, Milon never disappoints in the quality of the food. It seems,however, that this year they either booked in too many covers of large parties or had too few staff. You needed a couple of 'runners' to clear away. We waited much longer than usual for the main course to arrive but it was delicious and freshly cooked. The staff were attentive and apologetic, keeping us informed of delays. We will return as it is our favourite Indian restaurant.

We had the 5 course special. In reality it is three courses being pops & chutneys, starter & main with nan and rice. You can pick off the a la carte with exceptions but there is still a wide choice. Very good value. Food and service were good.

I have been to the Millon a number of times and it has always been excellent the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is plentifull and delicious it is always busy and full of atmosphere I have never once been disappointed and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We go to the Millon several times a year for over 12years now and have always had a great meal with great service. The menu and the cooking are excellent. The restaurant also as great offers. I highly recommend this restaurant

I've been here lots of times now and really enjoy there food,its decent prices plus staff are nice too .

This is one of our favourite restaurants , when we meet up with some of our friends we always go here . This time was not as good as the last time we went in , some of the food was a bit burnt .

Love it here been about 4 times in the last two months and I haven't had anything I've not enjoyed. The food is great, the service is great! They do some fantastic deals where you get 5 courses for £10 on a Sunday! They do all different ones throughout the week. I would really recommend this place to anyone the curries are lovely and it's a really nice place to be!

Just had a tremendous curry here yet again. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent. We have been coming here for several years and have never been disappointed .

Came here on Sunday 12/6/16 all 4 of us arrived at 6pm place was busy we ordered a pint of cobra each came pretty quick, we had the meal for 4 it came to £38.95 so was great value for money. The service was quick and plenty of food just look at the photos! 2 negatives 2 pieces of chicken didn't seemed cooked at one of the waiters seemed to have an attitude. But overall 3/5. Oh and the place needs decorating its very dated! I would visit again.

I am not really one to give a very bad review on TripAdvisor but I am afraid on this occasion I have too.1: I booked a table for two 7 days in advance via telephone2: Arrived Saturday night 30th April for our 8pm booking in time, on arrival told them my name and table booked for 8pm, we were asked to wait in the Bar area !! now this place was very busy and looked too busy for the amount of Staff.3: At 8.15pm we were asked would we like to order Drinks !! so ordered a bottle of wine.4: 8.40pm still in the waiting area and a waiter came to take the order !! I told him we had a table booked for 8pm Very sorry he said ! and then he turned to my wife and said your mobile phone is ringing ! now what on earth has that got to do with him when already he knew we were not happy !! we ordered 1 starter and two mains.5: 8.50pm shown to our table.6: 9.10pm Starter arrives.7: two glasses of wine arrive on the House !!!!!!! 8:9.40pm our mains arrive, South Indian garlic Chicken which was a tomato based dish with what seemed like chilli flakes in it nothing like what it says on the Menu.!! Very Bland taste 9:10.00pm are plates taken away and the Hot Towel's arrive with no mention if we wanted coffee or a dessert menu.10: We paid the bill and left, Terrible service and Staff Now this is a big restaurant and there was 3 very large party's on with at least 60 people so why did they not say this how they managed to serve big groups I don't know when they could not serve two people.I am afraid I will not go back to this Restaurant despite they get a lot of good reviews which is why we went here due to the good reviews !!

I go to this restaurant regularly and have a great time every time I go. Food is delicious, staff are great and for the 2nd time now we have seen Patelvis who is fantastic.I would recommend the millon to young or old and also for families as well as anyone just out for a good meal and lovely night

Millon has been at the heart of the community for 20 years plus, involved in several community projects and host to charity events throughout the year.Excellent food, authentic ingredients and cooked using traditional methods.Service is extremely attentive, the staff couldn't do more.Keep up the good work.

I attended this restaurant with a friend on a recommendation. Whilst the food was wonderful and I would definitely order takeaway from here, our experience was ruined by the overly 'friendly' waiter who was highly inappropriate. Whilst he was friendly throughout, he made several sexual references which frightened my friend (who is 16!). We made it perfectly clear that the attention was unwanted but he was persistent. In the end we asked for the rest of our food to be wrapped up and left which was a shame as the rest of our evening had been lovely. Perhaps staff need clarification on appropriate workplace behaviour as that was far from it.

I love this place from the second you walk in to the second you leave the staff are on hand very polite and helpful the service is quality all the food is reasonably priced as well as the drinks I would recommend this place to any body who likes been spoiled by excellent customer service and good food

We have been here many times over the years. I think the place was designed and built by a family. The décor has kept really nice. You can choose an intimate, cubical type setting for couples or up to four people.. or if there are more of you, there are big tables.We have been here for a number of birthday meals,and have always been happy with the courteous friendly service. There is a big menu to choose from, but I usually go for a chicken korma. I am not too adventurous in trying different foods, but just love the way they cook this.

Went to the Millon and found the staff to be extremely friendly. We were seated quickly and found the menu intriguing with plenty of choice. The £10.95 weekday 5 course special includes a generous selection from the a la carte menu, with a few options incurring a small extra charge. The starters were hot and freshly prepared as were the mains and the portions were also very generous. The meal was rounded off with a nice cup of coffee. We enjoyed the food and the host was great, very friendly. We will return in the future.

Well being of a Asian background a good curry with nice clean surroundings is very difficult to find our waiter Tiger was excellent looked after us so well.The food well all I can say is I have eaten in major cities around the world Pakistan Lahore Islamabad, India Mumbai , Bangladesh Dacca and had good and bad but this was excellent from start to finish . Highly recommended

Went with my husband and daughter. Many visits here and have never been disappointed. We had the 5 course deal and the food was fabulous. The Millon has been in the same site in Oldham and is arguably one of the best curry houses in the area. The staff are always friendly and nothing too much trouble. Looking forward to the next visit

This used to be our go to Indian.The food has always been excellent, and to be honest, still is.Service on the whole is fast and friendly.This restaurant is in need of some decor improvements if it is to keep up with the competition.

The initial greeting was a bit off putting.......very abrupt and could be taken as rude. The food was quite good although nothing spectacular. The waiters were friendly (apart from the one we initially met). Don't let him put you off trying this restaurant as it is worth a visit.

I have to say this restaurant does fantastic takeaways and even delivers locally. My new favourite go-to place for a very decent curry.I would recommend you give them a try.

We came to Oldham today to stay in a hotel. As we don't know the area. We went on Trip Adviser and found Millon. Which was only 5 minutes from the hotel. We took a walk down. What a good choice. The food was best we have every had. Great value for money. Friendly staff. Will be back when we are back in the area. Thank you so much for a lovely evening.5 plus stars

If you look at my profile you can see that I travel a lot and have left feed back to loads of restaurants but this one is my local and by far the best, always seated within a good time frame food always spit on. Service done with a smile and the price cheaper than most nearby, the place was nearly full and it was only early door ... People of Oldham pay a visit you will go back again

We visit here reasonably often, and never find cause for disappointment. Plenty of choice, with some lovely chef's specials, and packed with chicken / lamb etc. The fusion is a lovely tangy meal, and the anarkali is hot and tasty. The chat puri is the best I've tasted, and the breads and sundries are excellent.There are good special offers every day, with the £10.95 five course option being particularly good value.
