Millie's Tearoom in New Forest

We visited with 6 of us and a baby. The service was very quick and friendly. I am currently dairy and soya free and was able to have something to eat and drink (which is usually difficult when out!). The family was all impressed with the lunch selection.

Have been to Millie's numerous times and it is always the best for drinks and food. Their cakes are amazing all freshly made. The staff are lovely and friendly and very a tentative and the table service is always quick. Its a must to visit and you will never be disappointed.

Lovely cream tea. Lemon scones are amazing. Earl grey tea and coffee was excellent. Service was friendly and helpful. Would definitely come here again.

Millie's tearoom is an excellent place for a drink and great food. Having just got back from a cruise on Sky Princess and sampled the Carrot cake I decided to try the Carrot cake in Millies. It was far better than anything I had eaten on the ship. Having said that all of the cakes in Millies are excellent! Well done Julie.

Fab friendly people. Great food and prices are very reasonable. Best little cafe in Hythe. Recommend it highly and they love lil people too. Nothing is ever to.much trouble

What a good atmosphere, lovely service staff, all very friendly, good selection of cake from and gluten-free as well and good service

We always get a lovely sandwich in here, really fresh and tasty with a side salad and crisps and always served with a smile. The chicken and mayo is especially good. The quiche is also very good as well as cheese scones. Lots of choice of cakes and a lovely cream tea. The coffee is not my favourite and often too hot so I now just choose a cold drink instead. The decor is cute with lovely tea sets and old fashioned tea pots. Also seating available outside.

Our favourite place to grab a bite to eat with a great menu and by far my favourite place for cake.

I am a regular customer here and always enjoy the atmosphere and the food. There is a good selection on the menu for both food and drinks, and everything I have tried tastes great and is well presented. The cakes are amazing and cater to all tastes. It's very clean here and a pleasant place to sit. The staff are friendly too. Would definitely recommend Millie's.

The very best coffee shop in Hythe. Fabulous home made cakes and the most fabulous friendly staff. Would not go anywhere else.

Came here with my mum and daughter for a girls brunch and we were very much impressed! Lovely relaxed friendly atmosphere, reasonably priced and delicious home made cakes!

I visited Millie’s this week and I was so impressed with the welcoming you get when you walk in. The service was lovely and the mince pies were delicious. I will be back!

This pleasant tea room is so friendly it will become your favourite brunch / lunch and afternoon tea stop. The staff are friendly and create the kind of experience that makes you leave smiling. The menu is varied enough to give many choices although they did happily adapt for us.

A wonderful small venue to have a quiet lunch. Sit outside or in. Sweet mix matched China. Good sandwiches and treat yourself to some cake.

I visited Millie's Tearoom with my friend today. We'd always wanted to go there. The atmosphere was very warm. The staff were so friendly and the food absolutely delicious. I will be recommending this to everyone I know and can't wait to return. Everything you want a tearoom to be and much, much more..

Loved it, we had 40 mins to spare before the ferry and fancied tea so popped into MIllie's - gorgeous little tearooms with lovely friendly staff. very clean and stylish, excellent service, chilled atmosphere - loved it, would return. very close to train for the ferry - brilliant.

We went to Millie’s today, we have missed the atmosphere and the lovely ladies so much! It’s so lovely to sit down and have a well rested break with a great pot of loose leaf Dorset brew and a homemade sausage roll.

We have visited Millies tea rooms a number of times, the service is excellent as are the staff, all are very COVID aware. But the best by far is the coffee & Walnut cake! 😊

Great little tea room. Been here a number of times and never disappointed. Whilst Costa and other chains offer a known quality, local businesses like this offer the individual touch. Great fresh coffee too!!

Found this whilst wandering round Hythe and it is a little gem. Staff are lovely and the cakes are out of this world. So if you are looking for a tea time treat I would recommend you give this a try.

Nuestra visita fue antes del cierre a principios de marzo. Millies es todo lo que desearía tener en un salón de té; cálida bienvenida, amplia variedad de artículos caseros, mucho espacio para sentarse y gente amable que disfruta de una charla. La comida era como la - simplemente excepcional. No es de extrañar que estuviera casi lleno en un día ventoso.

We were treated to afternoon tea here, it was superb, all home made and fresh, we had a choice of sandwiches and cake followed by warm scones. The atmosphere was lovely, proper china cups for the tea in different quirky colours, most delightful.

We popped in on the off chance for a cuppa and something to eat. Really friendly, really clean and good value. What a tearoom should be. We were visiting from Kent. Highly recommended.

Went to Millie’s Tearoom for the first time with my twin granddaughters. We were met with friendly staff who were very accommodating. The children were given beautiful toys to play with while waiting for their order and we were all made to feel very welcome. We had tea and toasted teacakes which was very good value. Will be a regular visitor from now on.

Was a wonderful quaint not too cluttered old fashioned tea room!! First time visit for best friends 40th and would highly recommend!! Food was excellent and service even though opened just for us was exceptional !! Thank you !! X

Popped into Hythe this morning, and decided to visit the tearoom for a cuppa and toast. We like the ambience here and I loved the mismatched tea cups etc. It gives you the feel of a tea room back in the fifties., that I remember. The young lady that served me was very nice and helpful she helped me decide what tea to have as there was a good choice. I then asked for toast and marmalade, we sat at our table and our drinks etc were brought over quickly. It is not a large place but lovely and clean and fresh. We took our time over our breakfast as we have a large pot of tea I think we had 3 cups of tea each out of the pot and 2 rounds of toast each. I paid the bill which was very reasonable just over £8 and will recommend this pretty little establishment to anyone who wants a good cuppa.

This is just a little tea shop, apparently privately run. It has simple, but excellent, food, all served cheerfully. Prices are perfectly reasonable. My one criticism is that, when we went there for tea on a Sunday, it was closed. I find this odd for such an establishment as I would have expected peak demand at weekends.

A good cup of tea is served here along with a good choice of food - especially cakes. Service can be a little slow at busy times.

Buscando un salón de té, descubrí a Millie's y posteriormente almorcé con un grupo de 11 motociclistas. Si bien hubo una decepción inicial por no tener tocino ni salchichas (!), Elegimos rápidamente opciones mucho más saludables del menú.Habíamos seleccionado una amplia gama de opciones y todo estaba delicioso. Fue servido de manera muy rápida y eficiente. Disfrutamos mucho los almuerzos y volveremos a visitar en un futuro próximo.

This was an amazing find, probably one of the best tea room we have found such lovely cakes and the service was amazing too will definitely come back.

A rainy Saturday in the village when the Hythe Seafood Festival was washed out.

I love Millie's Tearoom. Everyone is so lovely. There's a great range of teas and the tea comes in a China teapot with China cup and saucer. The cakes are delicious. The place is spotless and there's room to move between the tables. Highly recommended.

lovely little place to have coffee and cakes---lovely , happy place. There was so much more to have , but only needed a rest and coffee and cakes, very friendly place and a welcomed rest.

I took my husband for his birthday and my what a feast! The place is very clean, warm and welcoming. The staff were AMA I got and very attentive. Will definitely be going back very soon!!

Visited for a quick cuppa and ended up staying for sandwiches and cake! As you walk in the greeting is lovely and the decor is spot on. It’s not sickly twee or in your face like everywhere else, just cleverly done and warming.

Great choice of teas cakes and sandwiches bagels but limited if you wanted something more hearty to eat

Went here for the second time today, lovely little place to drop in to eat. Lots to choose from as well. Just FYI though they have soya milk but no dairy free cakes available however the sandwiches are pretty great instead! Love the vintage China as well.

Welcoming staff and a lovely atmosphere. Reasonably priced and so nice to have a teapot that doesn’t drip! Cake slices were enormous and freshly made, even on X-mas Eve. We will be back.

Excellent lunchtime snack with a friend. Prawn sandwiches are lovely and so are their cakes. Would definitely recommend for lunch time snacks

Had heard the hype about this little tearoom so thought we’d check it out for ourselves. Lovely light and bright traditional looking tearoom. The loose leaf Dorset brew tea was recommended by one of the very helpful staff members so we gave it a go and thoroughly enjoyed it. The homemade cakes looked very tempting so we will definitely be back to try them out.

We popped in for lunch having heard good reviews and we weren't disappointed! Lovely light and spacious area with wonderful staff and delicious food! We will be going back soon!

Stopped in with some friends for afternoon tea the service and cakes were amazing, loved the chocolate cake and chia tea, will be back.
