Fantastic cafe, lovely setting. Delicious cakes. Breakfasts. Friendly staff and dog friendly. We'll definitely be back. Although I would say that for a dog friendly cafe I am very concerned about bringing our dog there again. A resident German Shepherd who roams freely outside the cafe, very suddenly went for our little dog. Our dog was on a lead, well behaved and did not approach the dog in question. Luckily, people were around to call the German Shepherd off (what if they weren't around). To clarify our dog was unharmed luckily. It has made us very worried about taking our dog there again which is a real shame.🙁

I can't say enough good things, Sharon the owner and her staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. The food is excellent and good value, mixing quality with good home cooking. Located on Nene Valley Way and being very dog friendly it is an ideal destination for a family walk, or just to grab a take away coffee to keep the winter chill off.

Wouldn’t go again .. first and last time today . Very disappointing food .. very very basic .. small portions , presentation poor .. I could produce better meals and I’m no chef . Dirty crockery piled high in sink , grubby kitchen . Children weren’t even offered a glass with their cans of drink . Not even a straw Observed lady in charge was microwave heating a pouch of rice then used fingers to decant ( no gloves in sight ) . Young employee also putting hands into a container of grated cheese straight after using till without washing hands or wearing gloves .. very disappointing

What a rude, ignorant person. The owner treats her young staff abysmally bullying them to ensure they end in tears. Very nice to customers but an awful boss

Lovely dog friendly cafe, been here a couple of times now and will definitely be back. Food is lovely, and my little dog loves it as well, she got lots of fuss from the staff and other guests when we came in the other day! We have had the big breakfast a few times, and we love it! The tea and coffee is lovely too. The area is very scenic as well so our little pooch can have a little walk outside

Lovely friendly cafe with lots of lovely visiting dogs. It always cheers me up to come here, Sharon has plenty of banter and really looks after her customers and will always go the extra mile. Bacon sandwiches are lovely as is the lemon 🍋 drizzle cake. In the 3 + years I've been a regular I can't fault it. I definitely won't be going to Smith Farm Shop cafe with the snobby ladies that lunch. Thanks Sharon and staff. Blondie x

We've used the cafe on a number of occasions and the boss lady has always been very polite and the food good but today I'm afraid to say I was really uncomfortable with what I witnessed after ordering our food which was nice no problems there I watched the boss lady almost bullying her young staff members making them scared to speak to her or ask a question of her & talking to them like muck. Now I understand she was very busy but to talk to her staff like that in front of paying customers was not called for.. Then snapping at paying customers for just asking where food was after waiting nearly 30 mins for a slice of cake or even pay her rudeness was unacceptable. Blaming a customer for making a staff member cry NO THAT WAS ALL YOUR OWN DOING.. It really was the talk of everyone outside today and even a few inside. Our last visit.

Very friendly welcome, invited in and chose our own table. Fabulous wall of doggie photos, representing all the doggies that bring their owners for a coffee and more! Wide ranging menu from quick snacks, full English, sandwiches and more. Table service, good portions all with a smile. Very reasonable charges. First visit, will definitely be back!

The cafe looked nice but smelt super greasy and like sewage. Ordered tea and got no milk or sugar offered, turns out the tasted nasty too. Food was even worse, they even messed up the toast! Had the breakfast and it tasted really greasy and low quality. Wouldn’t go again sadly, not impressed!

Our regular haunt since we found this cafe near the Northampton end of the Brampton Valley walk. We normally have some version of breakfast sandwich and coffee. Very tasty, although the bread not as good as it was pre-Covid. Cakes are excellent.

I've been coming to Millers Yard once may be twice a week for the last 18 months. It's the half way point of my walk. I can't fault it, Bacon Butties are great. Sharon & the girls are lovely and friendly and have saved my sanity on many occasions <3

Dreadful service. Was asked to take a seat so we waited then people came in after us and were served straight away. We should have walked out, but decided to give it a chance. Dreadful salty stale scone, served with cheap margarine already plastered all over it. I have never had a scone served already 'buttered' so found this very odd and quite off putting Asked for 2 pots of tea, just received 2 mugs. Table was really sticky and the whole place felt a bit grubby and more like a truckers cafe. We wont be returning - we will go back to Smith's up the road which is in a different league. If i could have given it no stars i would have

served by children, possibly cooked by them as well; Omelette came served in bits and was like rubber. All day breakfast, egg overcooked and tomato not cooked. Orange juice glass, handled by hands around rim of glass, Oh dear, very disappointed

The worst coffee we have had for years. It just tasted of hot milk. We also had a cheese scone which was stale. The cutlery was loose in a box on the table, not exactly Covid safe. The incorrect change was given and no apology made when we pointed it out. Never again.

We went for lunch after a couple of our friends recommended this cafe. Before we went we said if it is good we will make if a regular weekly event. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The sausages in the breakfast were poor quality. The slice of quiche and accompanying salad were very small. The chips which we expected to be home made were thin and not like the pictures. The glass brought out for the can of drink was dirty. The rubbish bin was full to bursting. Young staff were pleasant and the setting was good.

Found Miller's yard a couple of year's ago, at the end of Brampton Valley way. Down a long drive to stables off the Welford Road, by the Windhover. Open Wed to Sunday. Dog friendly. Seats outside and in. Opened for takeaways during lockdown and saved us on many a walk. Bacon butties were great, although the bread pre-pandemic was super - more basic recently. Home made cakes delicious - we take pieces home sometimes. Thank you for saving our sanity - coffee and loos at the end of a walk have been brilliant.

Lovely little cafe to stop off at during our dog walks for a snack and a warm drink. Lovely hot chocolate! We also had a takeaway roast pork from here today and it was absolutely delicious. This will be my new stop off point on our walks!

A promotion leaflet received by post offering 30% off mains at Middlemore Farm was too good an opportunity, particularly when Tom Shepherd’s ‘best ever pub pie’ was the marketing headline. Whilst knowing Daventry town we had not heard of this pub, an attractively converted farmhouse set in a relatively new-build area north of the town. Our evening begins - despite promoting the bar as ‘the heart of the pub’ under the heading ‘whatever your tipple, we’ve got a drink waiting for you’ I was surprised when asking what draught ales were available to be told that there was a choice of one, namely, Pedigree, as all the other beers were bottled; a glass of chardonnay was also not available, only by the bottle – so a poor start to our evening. My wife ordered the pan-fried sea bass and prawns, but was told there were no prawns available, being substituted with fried scampi in a small separate bowl. The two pieces of sea bass were delicious but the accompaniment of a large quality of fried potatoes and the unwelcome scampi substitute just didn’t go well with the sea bass, so were left. My ‘best’ pie was very tasty with the delicious red wine sauce and the excellent accompaniments of soft mashed potato, green beans, carrots and peas, however, the pie was spoilt by the tough pastry, a softer pastry would have made the ‘best’ title, allowing the pie to fall apart without effort for the excellent ingredients to spill out. I am sure Tom Shepherd’s expert creation wasn’t made with too much flour making the pastry hard so the fault must lie with the preparation/cooking, being left just too long in the oven to over-harden the pastry. An excellent pie unfortunately spoiled by the cooking – Tom Shepherd take note, created right by you, cooked wrong by others. A visit to their kitchen by Tom Shepherd would be useful, but a return visit to Middlemore Farm will not be in our diary.

I know this is now owned by Blue Diamond and not Dobbies but what an awful experience. All self service unlike Beckworth and had to queue for ages to order. Food came out first with no sign of drinks I asked the waitress if she could check on them and she never returned. After going to counter and chasing them up was told ticket machine was down and they didn’t know what drinks had been ordered. No apology so I had to reorder all the drinks and by time got back to my food it was cold. Waitress literally shuffed the drinks on the table eventually but by that time we had all finished the awful food. Chips were overcooked and fish in fish sandwich was dripping with grease. Found attitude of staff very poor. When one waitress cleared table she did ask if everything was ok I said well actually it wasn’t. She said sorry about that and walked off!! We won’t be returning. I know this is has only been opened a couple of weeks but they seriously need some staff training on customer service

This was my first visit and I had a lovely breakfast. I had the Smoked Salmon Eggs Royale and my friend had the breakfast sandwich. There was a generous amount of salmon, the sauce was lovely and the poached eggs were perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed it. I also had a pot of tea which gave me about 3 cups worth, and was served with milk, sugar, and a lotus biscoff biscuit. My total bill was £16.30 which I thought was reasonable. My friend's sandwich was huge for the £8 price and she said everything in it was great. Will definitely be back for breakfast and perhaps also to try their main dinner menu
