Miller & Carter steakhouse, in St Albans

Lovely young lady served me I believe her name was Millie. Checked up on me and was very efficient with my order. Top bants.

Great experience as always, lovely food and staff were great, we were served by Keely and Luke. Steaks were cooked perfectly and the restaurant surprised us with a birthday desert. We had the steak night set menu so really good value.

We had the fixed price lunch menu and it was really tasty! I think it was great value for money, £16.50 for two courses. Keely was a super friendly and attentive waitress. The building itself is fabulously old and is a lovely place to eat.

This was our first time at this restaurant. We had heard so many good things about it that we thought we must try it. When my husband booked the table he was asked it if was for a 'special occasion'. It was, it was my birthday. So when we arrived, we were asked and re-iterated the reason for the visit. The staff were very friendly and the meal was exceptional. However, the only disappointment was that I didn't even get offered a free coffee for my birthday. Why ask if its for a special occasion if nothing is offered !! When you spend in the region of £140 for two people, come on Miller & Carter, you could at least offer a small glass of wine or coffee free ?

The place is good for a casual night out and the staff are very friendly. Shout out to Gill she was very lovely. I very much recommend for people to dine there

This was my first visit since the Bull Beefeater was changed to a Miller and Carter. Yes, it’s been a few years!! We received a warm welcome by Susie and shown to a nice table towards the back of the restaurant. The layout, although little unchanged, is excellent with lots of small partitioned areas which adds to the ambience. Our waiter (Sam) was very good, as was the young lady who served our food, apologies I didn’t get her name, but all the staff were excellent and the management should be applauded for their service. The food, as always at a M&C, was very tasty and the fillet steak melted in my mouth. Love the standard lettuce and dressing and the shared starter was great too. Well done to everyone, including the chefs, we will return to Wheathampstead again soon as this is now our favourite Miller and Carter in the area.

I had a great time the other half and I had halloumi fries and sticky chicken then we both had the tomahawk pork and it was delicious and to finish off we shared the apple pie with hot chocolate and tea and Keely was amazing with great service and I feel satisfied with my meal and time well spent.
