Lovely meal, great quality food with quick service, our server Armando was very welcoming :) we both had the steak experience and was top draw

our meal was great and our waiter was incredible he was a very nice, funny man and extremely helpful. the food came out very quickly and the drinks were lovely.

Miller & Carter has always been our treat meal out. After a bad experience at the Ruislip branch we were hesitate to go again. We went to the Miller & Carter St Albans and our faith was restored Excellent meal with great service from Mario. It’s not cheap but when you have a good experience then it is well worth. The Dirty Burger was awesome Highly recommend this branch

Delicious food, welcoming and friendly service by Mario and Maddie. Lovely high ceilinged rooms too, a great sense of space. The best M & C we’ve visited so far, will be back. Thank you, well done!

Vistied this miller and carter on a queit sunday evening. Food was great service from Lola was attentivte and although one of our starters turned up late it was well handled and overall a really good experience.

Once again, a superb evening at M&C St Albans. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table immediately. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food, with the latter being very hot and tasty. LOLA, our waitress, was superb - very friendly, helpful and efficient. She has been our waitress the last few times we've been to this restaurant and it's always a pleasure to see her smiling face. Thank you for another very enjoyable evening.

A lovely dinner and a lovely experience with Lola who was helpful and efficient. Compliments to the head chef too, Mo, dinner was delish.

Our waitress Beata was wonderful! As were many of the rest of the team. Our food was lovely but to be honest it was the welcoming environment and staff that really made the experience! We were a big table of 9 with kids, babies, deaf elderly so not the easiest to deal with but Beata was fantastic !! Thank you Beata!

What an amazing place for all steak lovers! Butcher's Block was brilliant for two hungry souls. Wine is on a pricey side but the quality of food was superb to the point I'm OK with it for a night out. Special thanks to Mario for an amazing and welcoming atmosphere. He's a real soul of the place and we felt right at home for a yet another dinner. We will be back soon :)

We ate here last night having eaten at this location before and at other M&Cs in the past. On arrival the restaurant was busy and buzzing . We chose a selection of starters to share , Buffalo wings were damp and warm and clearly microwaved The quarter iceberg wedge served with a dressing was very dry - I just hope it had been washed ? Mains? Fries and thick cut chips awful -very hard cold and dry so was the onion cake , cold dry and lacked any real flavor, so that just left a steak and a quarter wedge of raw tomato to eat No horesradish or mustard seemingly available only ketchup or mayonnaise Steak was nothing to rave about Even though the cost was over £35 per steak , rather tasteless We skipped dessert as same old range of desserts . The restaurant is shabby and tired hidden by the low lighting however our table top was extremely sticky and in need of a good clean The diners next to us sat below a large domed light that resembled a fish bowl that was thick with dust on top ( clearly visible with the lights on ) . Servers that brought the starters and the steaks to the table both had their hair loose and one had a silver ring/bar through her nose not meeting basic food hygiene standards . Very mediocre meal in a shabby not very clean environment in my opinion With a bill of over £200 for starter and mains with no dessert or alcoholic drinks could definitely find somewhere better to eat

Went to Miller and Carter in St Albans for a 60 th birthday meal with family and friends. Service was really good, especially considering there were 20 of us. Well done and thankyou to Beata and Maddie for looking after us so well We were able to get the table a bit earlier so while we all gathered in the bar area for a pre dinner drink and catch up, we were able to decorate the table which made the evening special Food was excellent as usual. We have eaten here before and chose last night for a family meal On arrival restaurant was busy and buzzing Waitress was quick & attentive Starters were ok we chose a number of starters for sharing - nothing was outstanding Buffalo wings were wet & warm as you would expect from a microwave Iceberg wedge with dressing - nothing to say other than it was very dry , so I’m hoping it was washed ? Main - onion bake was hard , dry & cold , tasteless Chips both fries and chunky chips oven cooked ( very hard and dry ) could not be eaten . That left a quarter tomato and the steak - rather tasteless . At over £30 a steak would have expected better We opted not to have dessert as they tend to be the same old ones that all restaurants serve these days Food was edible but nothing amazing. Decor at this location is rather tired and dated , but hidden by the low lighting . Our table was extremely sticky to touch , Large glass globe light above a neighbouring Table of diners thick with dust , could be clearly seen as illuminated . One server had long dark flowing hair and nasal piercing - really anyone touching / serving food should be food hygiene aware ! In my opinion harvester type menu at inflated prices Can’t honestly recommend and won’t rush back .

Our server Mario was lovely, made the experience very personable and kept coming over for conversation. Came here with my dad for his pre 50th birthday and that food was lovely l, we had Calamari, cheesy baked mushrooms and the filet mignon, cooked rare. Was amazing l. Again, thankyou to our server Mario for making our experience worthwhile. Can’t praise him enough!

We all like a steak so when my parents visited we came here. We were not disappointed. We had a drink at the bar and then were shown to our table. Service was excellent. The steaks. All cooked differently and to order were delicious. Side orders were all hot and tasty. The mash potatoes were amazing. Great wine list. Good ambiance. Highly recommended. We had a lovely evening.

We have had a fabulous meal at Miller and Carter this evening. We were a table of 12 people to celebrate 40th birthdays in the family. The food was so lovely from lots of starters and the mains. The steaks were fantastic and the beef dripping gravy is the best!!! I would definitely recommend the beef dripping sauce. What made it even better were the fantastic waitresses that were serving our table. Lucie and Beata were so attentive and could not do enough for us. They even arranged for a birthday celebration desert for my brother and sister in law. They are a credit to the restaurant. It the best service I’ve ever had for a large table in a restaurant. We would most definately return!

We came today for a Valentines dinner and had the nicest drinks and food and the absolutely best service from Mario. We started with some lovely drinks in the restaurants bar. The bar service was great and there was a great range of drinks. We then moved onto dinner. We had the set Valentine’s menu. We started off with a delicious Camembert sharing starter. Minor preference of having the bread a bit more toasted. Then had a huge and very yummy Tomhawk steak as recommended by Mario. I can honestly say it was too 3 tomhawk steaks I had in my life. The adults food was great, very tasty and good service. The music was very loud, especially when we had two large groups either side of us, so we might have been better at another table (there were plenty of free tables). My son had a burger, we had to scrape the sauce off, but he wouldn’t eat it at that point anyway, so might be better to tell customers about this or put sauce on the side. His cookie (with ice cream) also had - hair baked through it, which stopped him eating it, obviously! We did bring this to the waitress’s attention and we weren’t charged, but further acknowledgment of this would have gone a long way.

There was a very friendly service and excellent food. The atmosphere was good as well. The speed at which we were served was fast but not rushed.

Went with my other half between Christmas and New Year. I booked online through the website over a week in advance. He had the T-Bone Steak and I had the Signature Burger, we both had starters too. We both enjoyed our meals, all of it was cooked to perfection and we were more than full by the end of our meals. I had the Zinfandel Rosé which was lovely too. We were served quickly by a waitress who made sure we got our food and drinks very quickly despite it being quite busy (a Friday night). Couldn't fault any of it. Great place to treat yourself to more than decent food.

This is my favourite Miller and Carter, was served by Lucie and the steaks were cooked beautifully.

The restaurant was not very busy, after we were seated, it took a long time to even be asked for drinks, which also took a while with every drink order we made. 2 adults from our party had the festive menu, and ordered the turkey and the most of the food was not cooked very well, meaning they only ate the meat and left the rest of the food so was not a pleasant meal at all, vegetables were undercooked and tasted very bland along with the potatoes. Due to this and the service being very slow it wasn’t a great experience.

Lovely branch of Miller & Carter in gorgeous location. Staff were very attentive and friendly, sadly we sat looking at our food on the chefs counter for a good 10 minutes because the fries to accompany them weren’t ready.
