Firstly, the food is excellent, well-presented, cooked beautifully and is very tasty. The service is also first class with no long delays when you would dearly like a waitress or waiter to appear. One of our party had an alergy, and the care and attention from the serving staff was spot on, ensuring personal attention throughout the meal, indeed, all the staff were friendly and suportive. The fixtures and decoration are welcoming and relaxing, and the chairs are comfortable, something many restaurants fail to provide.

The wife and myself popped in to miller and cater for a lunch time meal which was absolutely delicious, the steaks were cooked to perfection. We had Donna who waited our table this lady was fantastic friendly and attentive . We will be returning very soon. Thanks very much for a fantastic meal.

Let’s start with Craig our server - what a total star and he’s a credit to your brand. The vegan options were limited but I have to say I enjoyed every mouthful, for vegan food I was very impressed. Full of flavour every one else had fish or meat ! As a party of 7.. all plates were finished and there were no moans !! About the food not a single moan, I can’t stress how rare this is for this group

We was regular customers, unfortunately we won't be coming back here ever again as we had issues with our steaks, we tried to resolve our issues with so called Area management John smedley who was a complete waste of space and time as he did not bother resolving our problems and in the end we took our complaint to the ombudsman, I feel he's job role would be more suited as a prison officer than in a restaurant

We visited lunch time to miller and carter Shirley and we were served by Donna she was amazing and helped my partner pick which lettuce wedge would be Best. She made us feel very welcome and did a great job. The food was also amazing 2 clean plates. Will return again

For the first time I've been to a Miller & Carter restaurant and I'm impressed, been to few others and not impressed by them, thought they were overrated but this one blew my mind 👍🏿

Went here on boxing day with my family, service was terrible and slow, food was average. We had to send one meal back as the lamb was mainly fat and sides arrived when meals were nearly finished. Definitely not worth the money.

Steak was not good quality, fat, tough and not cooked consistently. Fries were also disappointing under cooked. As it was very busy we didn't want to inconvenience staff but in hind sight we should of raised poor quality. Staff were polite enough and genuinely we always have a good experience here, just not this time.

Lovely food as always. Great service and friendly staff. Still unsure about the lettuce wedge though...

We have been visiting M&C for years, but this will be our last visit. The alcohol policy seems ridiculous; there is not a single sign indicating their company policy. The Licensing Act 2003 clearly states (the only exception is that 16- and 17-year-olds may drink beer, wine, or cider with a table meal in relevant premises, when accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over). Miller and Carter denies this as a company policy. Clearly, there are no signs of such a policy, neither while entering the restaurant nor while booking a table. As a company, if you wish not to comply with the Licensing Act 2003, signage should be visible to customers. Two or three signs for dress code and the Licensing Act 2003 are posted before entering, but clearly, no signs for the company's alcohol policy. Food was extremely poor today from finding blue roll in one of the salads and 3 out 5 steaks were served with wrong cooking temperatures. Wasn't in the mood to complain or stay any longer as we never to plan to visit M&C again. *Thank you for taking the time to reply.As said i have been visiting M&C for years and inhave never seen and signage about your policy sor servicing alcohol to anyone below 18. It's your company policy and I do accept that but a sign will help people knowing your company policy. Searching your Web policy not really helps many people as if you want to stand out from the rest need to mention it either in your front page or while entering the premises.

What a lovely meal. We were served by Hannah today who made our experience wonderful. She was so friendly and went above and beyond for us. Thank you Hannah you are amazing!

My star rating is purely on the dish I ordered and no other. I ordered the Surf & Turf which came with a lobster tail and it was the lobster which was sadly a big disappointment. It added quite a bit to the cost of the dish and was sadly dry and pretty tasteless. The steak was done to perfection and the chips were nice also. I ordered, creme brulee for dessert and this was lovely. The service was also very good.

Rather unfortunate steak experience, mine was as tough as an old boot. Ask for medium to rare, got over cooked and tough.Unfortunately the waitress didn’t ask if the food was ok !!!!

Bad experience with staff as they were standing over my child and making her feel very uncomfortable. They got so close that they hit my child with the tray and made a bruise on her. They did not apologise and treated us poorly. I am very disappointed with the staff here. This isn't child friendly place.

RUBBISH! The ribs was undercooked,my daughter got food poisoning and I was poorly the day after! DON'T COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE SAFE AND HEALTHY!

Food was great, service was very very slow. We were sat down and ordered within 10 minutes. Nearly an hour later we were still waiting for food and when the waitress came to ask if we wanted a second round of drinks I expected her to apologise for the wait. The waitress was pleasant. Looked like she had a big area to cover on a busy Saturday night. As the restaurant got busier the service got slower. We waited again for another 20/30 mins to pay the bill.

Today we went to celebrate my brothers birthday. 16 people. Table had been booked a while. Thinking we would all be on the same table, we weren't. Two tables in an L shape separated from.one another. We then tried to move them closer together, only to be directed to move them back as the server wouldn't be able to get round As it was he couldn't anyway because we all had to sit down. Drinks came swiftly, meals were ordered and then it felt like two different tables were being served One table received their starters and the other nothing for 10 mins. On enquiring, I was informed it was coming. By the times ours came,the others had finished. Then the same happened with the mains. It's a big group which we understand, but no apologise on the delay or update about what was going on We spent a lot ! Of money today and our server felt rude and detached. We had more information from the gentleman helping bring some of the plates. Fortunately my brother didn't notice and we enjoyed his celebration whilst playing musical chairs in between sittings. This is the second time I've been to this particular venue and it's the second time we have experienced a problem. Unfortunately, this time wasn't handled as well as last time. We did raise our concerns with the server who just ignored us. Considering what we spent and it being my brothers birthday.. Many happy returns, was the most we received. Disappointed!

Quite quiet, which some folks love.

My husband and I decided to have lunch, so we were a walk-in. We were promptly seated and served by the very attentive Donna. Opted for the responsibly fixed price two course lunch, which we enjoyed and were suitably full on leaving.

We enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal as a group of 13. All of us were pleased with our food, the meals arrived timely and hot. Adele looked after us and she was great! She was very patient and understanding with the 4 small children we had with us and was very attentive, haven’t experienced service like Adele’s in a very long time. Thank you

We had a fine meal, 4 stars for food and overall as my wife's steak was medium rare instead of medium (but I enjoyed it). We were served by Adele and a trainee and we were well looked after.

Ian was a great waiter, from the start he gave great advice on how to have our steak cooked from the butchers block, it came out to perfection. We were also recommended what wine to have with steak to compliment the tastes. He had great attention to detail with serving us , and we would be very happy for him to waiter us again!

As I'm ceoliac my partner took me to miller and carter as its certified gluten free. It was only once we'd finished our starters were we told they didn't have a designated fryer so did I want the fries!? I'd have preferred to be told this when I ordered as I may not have stayed,boiled potatoes are no substitute for chips! I also shouldn't have been given the option, ceoliac means no gluten, the server should have said we're sorry you can't have them, it felt like my illness was being trivialised, it's not a fad i cant pick and choose!! The lunch set menu isn't great for ceoliacs either and no horseradish sauce,very poor service for somewhere that's supposed to be clued up.

Excellent service by Steve on my most recent visit here. Usually go every 2-3mths and have the chateaubriand steak sharer which is great value and very tasty. Love the friendliness of the staff at this particular venue and have always been delivered fantastic customer service. Recommend highly

How lovely to celebrate my dad’s 76th birthday with a wet floor hazard sign next to us the whole meal. Very poor today at miller and carter. I asked for this to be moved. The only place it was moved was closer to me.

Today, my better half and I indulged in a splendid three-course set lunch that could make even the most jaded foodie swoon. We kicked things off with some cheeky starters: **Salt & Pepper Calamari** and **Baked Cheddar Mushrooms**. Both were delightful—crunchy and bursting with flavour, they set the stage for what was to come! For mains, we opted for two **7oz Angus Rump Steaks**, served with a side of **Beef Dripping Sauce** and a rather posh **Bone Marrow Béarnaise**. Now, I must admit, both steaks were a tad overcooked, which added a slight bitterness to the experience—like finding out your favourite sitcom has been cancelled. However, the *Bone Marrow Béarnaise* was an absolute revelation, a sauce that could turn even the grumpiest of diners into a happy camper! To wrap things up, we treated ourselves to a **Classic Crème Brûlée** and some **Ice Cream**. The crème brûlée was a velvety dream, gliding across the palate like a well-rehearsed ballet. And let’s not forget the service—absolutely top-notch! In summary, while the steaks may have missed the mark slightly, the overall experience was delightful. I’d say it was a lunch worth repeating—just maybe with a touch more pink in the middle next time!
