Miller & Carter Marlbrook in Bromsgrove

food and service great as always but it is freezing cold in restaurant. no heating on and even waitress was wearing jacket. a few complained and they put heating on just as we was finishing. update. the heating was not turned down by customers the previous night, the deputy manager stated to the waitress that he didn't feel the cold but would put the heating on after people complained, also other people moved from other areas to the front as it was even colder at the back area.

Foods was cooked to perfection.

This was one of our more favoured M & C branches so the wife chose it for her last birthday night celebration. However a year later and it was looking a bit tired. The room was full of children and it felt a bit like a crèche. Any chance of a romantic night out was out of the window. It's a pity that they couldn't find an area just for them. The menu has changed a bit and not for the better. I also noticed the calorific value of some of the meals, ouch! There were 3 of us and unsurprisingly it was steaks for two but I went for the feta and spinach pie. The service was very good, much better than the last time, very friendly and on the ball but it wasn't full on our Sunday night. The meal didn't start well, we had to send one lettuce wedge back as it was very brown around the edges. How does that happen? The fillet steaks were very good and 6 no complaints at all but I would have liked a bit more feta in my pie nor could I taste the lemon and garlic. The drinks were very good though albeit a bit pricey. Unusually the wife had a creme brulee but it lacked a crisp top and the frozen raspberries were mushy and tasteless. Overall not quite the experience that I had hoped for.

We had a lovely meal at m&c in Marlbrook. The steak was cooked perfectly, the camembert mash was delicious and we were served by Paula who was amazing and made us feel special celebrating our anniversary. Thanks again!

What a lovely experience we have had. Sarah the manager first greeted us and was just wonderful, taking us to our table and taking our drinks order straight away! Wonderful! We was served by Paula, who was just lovely, very kind and with a lovely smile aswell! Nothing was to much trouble! The food was also amazing! Cooked to perfection! Thank you so much, we will be back!

We had a lovely first experience at Miller & Carter tonight, made even better by our wonderful waitress, Kat. She was friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive throughout our visit. Even when something wasn’t quite right, Kat handled it quickly and with a smile – nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, especially the steak, and everything was beautifully presented. What really stood out, though, was the special touch Kat added for my daughter’s birthday – she surprised her with a sweet birthday message written on her dessert plate, which made the evening feel extra special. It’s rare to find service that feels so personal and thoughtful. Big thanks to Kat and the whole team – we’ll definitely be back!

Great food and service by Emma. The only thing that remains an issue with Miller and Carter are the prices….don't seem to be reflective of the cost of living issues affecting many people. This was a special occasion with adult company, certainly wouldn’t be bringing the kids!

The main reason it’s 5 stars is because Kat, our server was beyond incredible. Friendly, professional, efficient, attentive, checking periodically to see if we needed anything. If only more restaurants had staff like Kat. Thanks for a great lunch!

11th April - amazing family meal and grateful to be served by Kat who was so helpful and looked after us brilliantly. 3rd April 2025 - yet again impeccable service from Kat in the restaurant. She never fails to make our experience amazing. Salmon was lovely too, compliments to the chef on the food! Another night another great service from Kat. Thanks for welcoming us once again. Food was AMAZING! Filet Minon as good as ever :) Back in on Sunday 29th October. Dirty Burger and steak were AMAZING. Made perfect by the awesome service from Kat as always. First visit and the last !!! Food was barely warm and was sat under the heat lamp for 10 mins before being served. The texture and appearance was no different to local pub food. They apply a smart dress code yet customers were in jogging bottoms and t- shirts and trainers. Children screaming running about. The dining area wasn’t particularly clean grease on tables and seating. This is still the Marlbrook with just a fancy name change.

Kat our waitress was absolutely lovely! Meal and atmosphere were both perfect, lovely experience on Mother’s Day.

Kat was very helpful and accommodating for all of us but especially one of our older guests and provided recommendations to suit her needs and gave us a great service! The food was amazing and would highly recommend.

Came for a joint birthday/Mother’s Day meal. Considering how busy it was, Kat was AMAZING in serving us. Everything was quick and any needs were attended to immediately, sometimes before we could even ask! Overall a great experience on such a busy day for the restaurant!

Bit disappointed with the food as we had to send it back to be reheated. When it came back we ate it but it still didn't meet our expectations. However our waitress Kate was lovely. She was attentative, polite, chatty we couldn't have asked for a better waitress she should have some kind of recognition. We don't go out for meals to complain and get free stuff we just want good food as it's a Miller and carter

We were a group of 15 celebrating my father's birthday. We came to Bromsgrove Restaurant last Saturday. Our waiter was Kieron and he was fantastic. Helpful , attentive and patient.

Steak was brilliant, the fries were not the best. The mixed green vegetables you mainly get peas and one piece of broccoli. Baby potatoes were lovely. Service was great.

Fantastic server called Loz, very professional and polite, quick service and attentive. The only star taken away was for my sirloin which was cooked medium but still a little tough, otherwise all good.

We had a table of 9, and the staff were perfect! The food was amazing, and it was a genuinely good night because the restaurant coped so well.

You get what you pay for here.. quality steak and service. Value wise, miller and carter seem to have hit the nail on the head, and when having a set menu you are in for a feast. I can’t wait to go again

We went as part of a birthday surprise. We had great service which can be hard to finds sometimes. Food was great too so all good, thank you to Tash our waitress.

For a coeliac, menu and understanding is outstanding! You can have chips here too as they have two fryers!

In my opinion this is the best Miller & Carter to visit, the food was delicious, the Sunday sharer was amazing for the money, the lamb in particular was beautifully cooked along with the rest of the meat. Service was also very attentive and friendly Paula looked after us on our visit.

Nice food but still not worth how much you need to pay for the food. Every main over £20 there are better and cheaper steakhouses in the local area

They rave about their steaks and their 'master of steak' trained chefs but I thought the steak was mediocre for the price. My medium/rare sirloin was cooked medium at best and quite bland. Our waitress was very nice and chatty.

Somewhat expensive for the amount of food received, I had the Cod Loin which was really small ,The service and greeting was 5***.
