Visited for a birthday meal, steak was all bone & barely any meat & burger was McDonalds standard, service was slow (had to get up twice to ask the bar for drinks) staff were patronising & ‘Maître d'hôtel’ thinks he’s working in a 5 star restaurant in Paris with all the peacocking around he was doing whilst not doing anything helpful at all.

Fabulous service from Tabby. Connected brilliant with all customers. Very attentive and extremely professional. My rare steak was perfect. Thank you for making our evening fabulous. We will be back.

We came to have dinner after a couple of impressive lunches. Normally we would go to a different branch that’s a bit further out as we noticed a difference in quality but since our last two visits were so good we came for dinner. Unfortunately my steak was very chewy and gristly which is not something I’ve ever really had an issue with. I had to chew and chew until my jaw hurt and then had to spit it out as I couldn’t get it small enough to swallow. Very disappointed as I paid extra for a bigger steak. Seems I paid extra to get gristle. Also the chips were all the little ends of chip and were hard and very hard to chew, almost stale. Very disappointed.

Food was excellent and the service from Brad was second to none.

Bradford was our waiter and he was great. Very friendly and the service was fantastic. We went with the Butchers block and it was INCREDIBLE! Steak cooked to perfection and the bone marrow.... wow! Will be back!

Excellent food, value and service (Brad). The app was a bit glitchy and we struggled to get free drinks vouchers to work. However, the kindly manager (Joe) sorted everything.

General manager and waitress who served us was very kind will definitely be back.

If you’re a steak person I’d recommend this place. Not the cheapest but definitely on top of my list for a good steak meal.

Can't fault the food. But wouldn't go often due to the cost. Prawn and avocado starter and 30 day ages sirloin 12oz steak and a glass of wine each for 2 people was £127.. But food was very good.

It was quiet, service was excellent and the food cooked to perfection.

1) Found it strange that the M&C website would not allow me to make a booking for 1 person, and the only way I could book on the internet was to book a table for 2! 2) Slightly taken aback by booking times being offered on the website which were not available! The manager 'phoned me about 7 hours before my booking to advise me that the kitchen would be closing at the time of my booking. Fortunately I was able to rearrange my commitments that afternoon to arrive earlier than my original plan. 3) Someone might want to look at the website in respect of the above points. 4) Service was excellent. Courteous, helpful, friendly, cheerful and attentive. The waitress was Tabby, and I think that she should be complimented on creating an excellent impression.

Our host Billy was really friendly and very professional. Venue was very clean. No sticky tables or menus here. My steak was cooked to perfection. I couldn't fit in a dessert but was given a lovely ice cream plate as they knew it was my birthday. Thank you Billy and Miller and Carter for a great time and delicious birthday meal.

In the last few years I have visited this Steak House about 4 times.Prices are on the high side but the steaks are good and properly cooked. Service is generally good and attentive. Garnish with the steak was a tomato and onion rosti------terrible, not requested, not required----- I did say at the time of ordering no onion, This was ignored.(the waiter still got a 10% tip though) Dining out with friends is surely one of life's great pleasures , being able to relax, eat and drink (in moderation) chat etc. The main issue here at the HH branch is the Manageress . I have had feedback from other (male) friends who all have had the same experience------she does not like MEN especially more than 2 at a table! She makes snide remarks about " noise and I have had to move people away from your table" Completely untrue---we were in a side room with 5 other tables that were empty! Basically men are not welcome here.I would add that we were all mature guys , dressed at above the smart casual level required. The consensus was that the food maybe good but the welcome and conduct is not-------the management should send in 4 guys as "secret shoppers" and see what reaction you get. You want the money but you have to provide the right type of ambiance and service!

Really impressed with the food here. 16oz rib eye steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. First time for a meal here but won’t be the last!

Angie treated us like family and made us feel at ease. She knows the menu inside out. I'd return simply because of her amazing service. Highly recommend the Cote De Boeuf on the sharing menu.

After a nightmare visit to the hospital our heads spinning! We went for dinner at Miller & Carter Haywards Heath, the staff were amazing, Angie was the lady who welcomed us in, which was a truly warm welcome. Tabby & Billy took the time to make us also feel very welcome,.. Nobody really knows what people are going through when you meet them, but they all made us forget the nightmare we had come in with for a short while. The food was lovely, Scallops and wings to start with and steak for mains. Thanks so much to all of you. Viv

Greeted well on arrival. The meals were great. Our server Angie very enthusiastic and got everything just right.

Although busy being Fathers Day, we received a warm welcome and guided to our booked table. The manageer was welcoming and leading from the front, in helping clear tables and reset. Our Waitress was amazing, Angie copied with various demands, including a spilt drink over a child. The food was well cooked, well presented and flavoursome. A good Lunch, enjoyed.

Visited with my partner, had the set menu, which is quite reasonable price. the food was very tasty and friendly service. We will return hopefully soon.

Excellent food, had the 30 day 16oz ribeye steak, and it was cooked to perfection. Very friendly staff and food served quickly. Prices are maybe a little on the high side but you can't fault the food and service

We visited this restaurant this week. The food was amazing and the service fantastic. We met the manager and she made sure our celebration night was awesome. Next time we're in this area we will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone who we met.

Joe made the lunch experience with my friend absolutely amazing.

Our first and last visit to this restaurant. A warm welcome when we came in and then the service got worse. Our waitress tried to be polite but the thin veneer she put on cracked the second we asked questions. I had downloaded the App which offered a free glass of fizz. She made me read the Ts and Cs with her to ensure it was valid as though I was trying it on. Food was good but not hot and sauces congealed - must have been sat on the pass too long. No one checked on us as we ate. Ordering extra drinks was hard. When the bill came they set it out itemised and when I said we were on the Sunday special offer the bill was adjusted with no apology. The difference was £30! Even when we asked the manager about the vat on the bill she just said that’s how it is. Looked a bit odd! Superficial service with expensive food. No service charge on the bill also so felt sorry for the waitress and gave her a tip, wish I hadn’t. Could be so much better. Will not be back.

Service very good and friendly. Price of your set menu lunch reasonable.I had the fish cakes which were mediocre and certainly not freshly prepared. It seems to be a standard dish in many pubs even down to the glutinous sauce. Chips were very salty.

Very warm welcome, we'd asked for a table outside and she'd laid up some in the sun and some in the shade and said we could sit where ever we'd be comfortable. Our drinks order taken whilst we waited for our guests and we were also offered some water for the table, she was quick to re-appear once they had arrived to take theirs. Food orders taken with lots of additional options offered, we all opted for the 3 course Sunday lunch menu. Starters were out in about 10 minutes and were all delicious. When cleared the lettuce wedges were served and a about 5 minutes after our mains arrived. Again all delicious. Dessert menus were offered but the choices were quite rich for a lovely sunny afternoon and she informed us the chef had also offered Eton Mess for dessert as a not so heavy option. We all chose that and were not disappointed. Staff were attentive but not overbearing and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

We had such a wonderful evening for my brothers birthday. The staff had such a laugh with us. Made us feel really at home. The food was excellent. Our waitress also made an extra special effort as we had a 5 week old baby with us and she took me to an area to feed her and help settle her. Really made my night and helped me relax. I believe her name was Angela / Angie - lovely lady!!

First time ever at Miller and Carter in Haywards Heath and quite frankly if you visit this area and don't go for a steak in this place you are doing yourself a tragic disservice. The staff are incredible. Angie was our server and she was exceptional beyond reason. Billy the supervisor oversees a floor service run with impeccable clarity and timing. The manager Joe has assembled a crew with incredible diligence, including a chef and kitchen staff who quite frankly deliver steaks and accompanying sides that are ridiculously luxurious in presentation while also delivering an explosion of tastes in a setting with the ambience of an ecclesiastical retreat. Simply wonderful.

Food was good quality and service was friendly and quick. Bit expensive for what it is. My biggest gripe is my son ordered chunky chips with his food? They brought out french fries. They apologised and eventually brought out the right ones. Wasn't until I got home I noticed on receipt they had charged for the chunky chips as an extra. £4.75. Absolutely fuming. Won't be going back any time soon.

Food was mostly good, as it should be for the price, and came in good time, but the service we received wasn't good. We asked for no ice with drinks; they came with ice. There was an issue with a meal item, that needed to be replaced. After about 10 minutes waiting for a service check that never came, I had to catch the attention of our waitress to raise this. At the end of the meal, the waitress came over with the bill, identified we wanted to pay by card and said 'I'll be back'. After about 10 minutes waiting for her to return, we gave up and paid cash so we could leave, meaning we left a tip that wasn't warranted. On the way out we saw our waitress standing around chatting to another member of staff. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy either; just inattentive service.

This was the best steak I have ever had and that’s no exaggeration. The calamari was equally as delectable. Tabby, Joe and Sam were all amazing and so friendly. The fact that this place doesn’t have a Michelin star seems crazy to me.

Amazing atmosphere. Nice background music to accompany the lovely food. The 12 oz rib eye steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and tasted spectacular. The service from Tabby and Joe was incredible and very friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an incredible meal!

Today we had lunch at Miller & Carter Muster Green Haywards Heath. To celebrate my sister's birthday. We were served by Tabby, who was very helpful, approachable, friendly & nothing was too much. Tabby offered to unlock the disabled toilet for me. Which was very kind of her to do.

Fantastic dining experience all round coming from Australia and having a hospitality background I couldn’t fault it. Tabby was excellent, engaging and up sold us perfectly knowing her product without it being over the top Signature steak sandwich and a beer was a sensational match on her recommendation. Always love the food, drink and atmosphere here. Tried a few different things on the menu and with any dietary requests they accommodate very reasonably. Staff are always kind and attentive. Would definitely recommend a visit!

The staff were very helpful and made us very welcome. The food was good. We were with an elderly relative with mobility issues and everything was done to ensure she was comfortable. It was her birthday and she was given a dessert with a happy birthday message and candle.

Staff were fantastic, thought the steak we ordered was slightly to rare for us and they happily organised with the chef to replace and when recieved was just right and they threw in 2 extra portions of chips. Didn't finish all and the staff again were fantastic and they boxed our left over gorgeous meet up as who wants to waste great steak. Warm and relaxed atmosphere definitely re visit.

It was our first visit. I know its a steakhouse, but i love ribs. I had wings as starter, they were super tender and tasty. Main was succulent and fell off the bone, dry rub seasoning was perfect, plenty on my plate. Beer was IPA and refreshing. Top service by our server this evening, definitely going back.
