Miller & Carter Didcot in Vale of White Horse

It’s our first visit to this branch of Millar and Carter and we were not disappointed. First impressions are those of opulence with decor in dark rich colours, comfortable seating with great lighting. Excellent service throughout from Katie and food to the usual high Millar and Carter standard. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Normally, the food at Miller and Carter is excellent. This was our 3rd Christmas Day meal and it was poor quality. Vegetables hard and undercooked.

We had Christmas lunch with our eldest daughter and her husband. Food and service were exceptional. Restaurant was beautiful. So pleased that we decided to spend our first ever Christmas Day meal at a restaurant with Miller and Carter Didcot, thank you Mollie and the rest of the team.

The food, drink and atmosphere were excellent, particularly as it was Christmas Eve. Our server, Lily Ann was superb.

A brilliant steak restaurant on our doorstep! We celebrated my wife's birthday on Christmas Eve. Ellie was amazingly attentive, funny and considerate. One of our group had an obscure allergy and she took the time to make sure each dish was fully checked. During our dining experience Ellie visited regularly to make sure everyone at the table was enjoying their meal and to double check in with our awkward diner ;) The food was all well cooked, quickly served and of high quality, as we have come to expect from this restaurant. We will definitely be back and would be happy to tell others to come too.

Another great meal at Miller & Carter in Didcot. Holly was looking after us today, and was exceptionally polite and attentive, despite the restaurant being very busy.

Had some very much needed time with my wife today and took a punt on lunch at carter and miller in didcot. And boy were we not disappointed, the butcher block share platter was phenomenal. We've not had steak like that since our time living in South Africa. Good job well done or medium rare in our case. Happy christmas

This is a purpose-built Miller and Carter restaurant and it is to the highest standards of the company. The restaurant is nicely laid out, contemporary and very comfortable. The staff are very professional and friendly and very helpful and a meals were carefully prepared and presented. The food was very tasty. This was my first visit but I will certainly be going again. Toilets are modern and maintained to the highest standard. Recommended.

Great food, and excellent service! From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel welcome — and our server, Drew, was very attentive. She made sure we were catered for at all times and was very sweet with our three young children as well. The meal was excellent, tasty and cooked very well. Would definitely recommend.

I am aware this is a steak house, however I went with work colleagues after being told that there was some vegan options. There was a burger option and a gallete from the Christmas menu. I had the Oyster mushroom Galette from the Christmas menu. Now I didn't see the price on the menu, but was expecting like max £20, considering it was basically just vegetables. Even though this was a main, it was quite a small amount of food and I finished it in 5 minutes. Felt like I had a starter. Afterwards I got the joy of sitting there while everyone else ate for the next 15 mins. This whole time I was thinking, at least it would be a bit cheaper, nope: £28.95. And again, I know this is a steak house, but considering you can get Michelin star vegan food in London for a similar price, I was not impressed. As supermarkets now stock vegan steak, I would expect a steak house might lean in that direction for vegan food. Just a thought.

The service was great at Miller and Carter this evening, Owen was a great server. He looked after us very well and was kind and friendly throughout our dinner. The food was gorgous and when mentioning in the booking this meal was for my mums 60th Birthday they surprised her with a free pudding and Happy Birthday written in sauce. Very happy with the overall experience

50 day aged Filet Mignon, lettuce wedge with blue cheese & Stilton delicious. Alovely selection of wine by the glass including Ravenswood. Oasis of calm near Banbury, Didcot Parkway and Abingdon if you have to travel for work.

A 45 minute wait turned into a 120 minute wait. It then took the courier over 30mins to deliver it (and I had to find him, he couldn’t find a Premier Inn). Food was cold and inedible upon delivery. Restaurant wouldn’t answer the phone. Couldn’t be worse.
