We had a fantastic meal at Miller and Carter, Donna was an attentive and lovely waitress, making sure our meal was perfect (which it was!) and ensuring we were looked after. Couldn’t have asked for a better waitress—really made our evening! Thank you :)

Excellent service as usual from Shipon who always looks after us. The burger was fab as well as the halloumi fries. One of my favourite places to eat. Also a shout out to Gemma who is also fab and her service is great.

Fixed price lunch menu soon adds up if you have a few extras but overall a good meal. Upgraded to fillet which was 5oz, quite small but ok for a lunch, asked for medium but was more like rare. I just go for the beef dripping sauce😋

Had a fantastic lunch with my daughter today. Angela our waitress was so helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great meal. Will cooked our steaks to perfection. It was very quiet at 2.30pm but that made it even more personal. Spotlessly clean too. Lunchtime menu very reasonably priced .

Booked in last minute for an early evening dinner which was as amazing as ever and our waiter Ian was attentive, friendly and professional, could not fault the restaurant, food or service many thanks.

Visited this venue for lunch as it was my birthday. We chose two dishes from the lunch menu. Steak sandwich was absolutely gorgeous and salted caramel profiteroles were out of this world. Good value meal all served by the wonderful Craig, who was so friendly and professional. Top marks all round and a very enjoyable afternoon with family.

We were served on Wednesday by a really pleasant waitress called Adele. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she spent a lot of time talking to my children. After we got home the kids loved the waitress so much that they drew a picture of her. The steak was cooked to perfection. Our overall experience was 5* and you have a 5* waitress working for you!

A great spot to meet up with friends. We visited on a Monday lunchtime, and it was busy - so it shows they have got the formula right ! I ordered the sea bass fillets, which were great quality and beautifully cooked. The accompanying Mediterranean veg were good, and the pea purée decent. The Potato Dauphinois was delicious, but unfortunately I felt the portion was rather miserly. ( There was no sign of the listed “sunblush Tomotade Sauce”. ) The meal was tasty but unfortunately it must have sat on the pass too long as it was only luke warm when it arrived… I love my food piping hot ! Everyone else enjoyed their meals, so I was just unlucky. The service was great, very efficient and friendly. Definitely a great place to catch up with friends, so we will be back ! ( I would have left a five star review if my food had been served hot, and I had been given a bit more potato !).

Perfect restaurant. My husband and I like all the courses. Stelios is our server and he is very enthusiastic and helpful. We enjoy our lunch time.

Went for lunch with family members. Very friendly staff and prompt service. We ordered from the lunchtime menu. The steak sandwich is out of this world. And the gravy to die for. Really good value for money. Will definitely be back.

We have visited other Miller and Carters but this was out first time here. The food was to the high standard we are used to. Our waitress, Steph, was very friendly and helped advise us on the steaks when we were undecided. I actually learnt something and it really added to our experience! We will definitely visit again soon.

Celebrating our Wedding Anniversary, my wife and i decided on Miller and Carter this year. Fortunately this year we werent kicked out at 9pm because of daft Government legislation.So, table promptly at 7:30pm we were greeted by Adel who gave us plenty of time to choice our drinks and meals.Decided to forgo starters in favour of the Butchers Block.Fantastic meat selection and cooked to perfection.Adel came by every now and then to check if we required anything which was just enough to be tentative but not overwhelming, fantastic job Adel.Cant wait to be going again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch at Miller and Carter. Frequently visit here and they have yet to disappoint. Adele was our waitress. Very polite and courteous. Food was delicious and cooked exactly how we had requested. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Hi,we have just had dinner at the Hockley heath Miller and carter, the service was appalling, we felt that we where a hassle at any point. We first waited 20 minutes after sitting for our drinks order to be made. Then we where waiting god knows how long for our food order to be made, with a number of staff members passing our table round to decide who would serve us. Upon ordering our food, we had the wrong chips, steak and steak sauce given, this was my birthday meal and it was my order they got wrong which meant all my family members had there dinner without me. We then asked for a 2 bottles of water, in which we where told they only have one available, which we assumed they would just get us some more glasses of water, but this didn't cross there mind. The toilets and changing room where disgusting I didnt even want to put my 6 week old babies bag on the floor. I expect this if I'm paying for a Cheap meal.

We arrived at 12:10pm. The restaurant was cold, it was much warmer outside even though it was wet and only 17 degrees. We were looking forward to having steak, but were told by the waitress that the chefs had only just started preheating the oven/grill, so we'd have to wait another twenty minutes before they could start cooking steak or anything oven baked. If the restaurant opens at 12, shouldn't they have preheated the grill and oven for it to be ready by then, or shortly after? We were with a hungry toddler, so decided to order fried items instead, which tasted fine, but not what we really visited the restaurant for, and we left immediately after our meals as it was still really cold after we had finished our meals.

Beautiful food.. excellent service! We come here quite often. My only critique is it would be nice to be automatically offered the fixed price menu instead of us having to ask for it. Please don’t be reluctant to offer this to customers.. it’s an excellent deal and should be promoted

Visited today with an old friend who I hadn’t seen in a while… extremely warm welcome from the team.Food choices were great on the lunchtime menu, and the steak sandwich was perfect.Our waitress Donna, was so attentive and friendly…All round, a great day and I would certainly recommend!

Called for lunch on our way to a hotel close by. Good meal at a reasonable price. Went back that evening after leaving the hotel restaurant that we’d originally booked where service was very slow and restaurant not a comfy place to have, what we were hoping, was a nice relaxing meal. Had another well cooked and presented meal in comfortable surroundings. Staff very friendly.

Visited our favourite local steak house and we were not disappointed, the service and food were all spot on and we had a wonderful evening. If you’re hungry and brave enough try the chateau briand for yourself, a great steak that’ll leave you happy and content for hours.

Had a meal here for my sisters birthday on the 25/08 and the waitress Donna was absolutely wonderful, she made us feel very comfortable and brought out my sister a plate saying happy birthday which made the entire day just that little bit more special! Highly recommend coming here, wonderful staff, wonderful environment will be back soon!

Visited Miller and Carter today following a trip to a bridal shop in which I purchased a beautiful wedding dress. Was over the moon happy and told Vicky who served us. Vicky then told Angela who was also serving us and together they arranged for the lovely surprise of a dessert plate which said “She said yes to the dress!” written on it. This was a lovely touch and made me feel fantastic and very special! Thanks so much!

Had a lovely ribeye and fillet steak with the delicious onion loaf.The restaurant was extremely busy, but Donna our waitress still gave exceptional and friendly service.Donna has served us many times before and is always consistent in her manner.The restaurant was clean and plenty of car parking spaces.Although not cheap it’s well worth a visit and you get exactly what you pay for,Good quality, good service.

Went for a family lunch and a catch up. Chose a meal from the lunchtime menu. The steak sandwich was absolutely delicious and the beef dripping gravy to die for. The family all had the mushroom starters and I had the chocolate pot dessert. All was amazing and fantastic value for money. We were served by the lovely Adele who couldn’t do enough for us. And at no time were we rushed. Just a long leisurely family lunch. Can’t wait to go back.

Very pleasant experience at this particular M&C. Service was friendly and efficient, and our food speedily prepared and served. This was likely due to it being suspiciously quiet for a Saturday lunch... Whilst eating our meals, tables started to fill which was slightly reassuring. Lol!Food quality, taste, portion and prices...consistent with the group so perfect if you like familiar and knowing what you’ll be eating. Plenty of free parking at this location. Will revisit when next wanting a M&C meal.

Went for an evening meal with my wife and were made very welcome at the start. We then had nice starters and everything was going well until the steaks arrived. My wife had the sirloin with the Ribeye for me and both were requested to be medium. My wifes turned out to be medium to well and mine started as medium then as i worked my way from one side to the other went medium-rare-blue.Now i can eat a blue steak so i felt that i should not worry to much about it but i would offer some feedback to the waiter to take back to the chef and showed him what was left. He immediately suggested i should have told him sooner but as i said i do not mind eating a blue steak but it isnot for everyone. He then went on to start making excuses about cooking a 1 inch steak (but you guys are the experts) and i mentioned that i knew how to cook a steak.What started of as some friendly feedback left me very frustrated by the waiters reacion and to be honest we could not get out of miller and carter quick enough. I was not trying to criticise just offer some friendly feedback.

This was our first visit after hearing good things about it. The restaurant was lovely seen straight to our table, friendly staff especially Donna who was friendly and very helpful. Lovely atmosphere and the food was amazing will definitely visit again. 5 stars 10/10

My wife and I dined here this evening in celebration of our Wedding Anniversary - We had booked to dine in the one at Sutton Park but they emailed me cancelling the booking one hour before we were due to arrive (I've reviewed that one too!)We have loved Miller and Carter for the last five years or so - We have dined at their restaurants across the region and further afield. We're big fans and tend to visit for special occasions.Recently, we have experienced declining standards in the restaurants.Tonight, we arrived and were seated. One of my first observations about the restaurant was that it was not adhering to its dress code of smart casual or dress to inpress. This surprised me, as the brand's intended quality of the dining experience and price are not normally low in these restaurants.From the point we were seated everything seemed to go down hill. Long wait to order drinks. Long wait to order food. Long wait for drinks to arrive, Long wait for food to arrive. Mistakes made in food which did arrive. Second round of drinks, which we had waited ages to arrive, never arrived. Upgraded to triple cooked chips - They were slightly brown frozen oven chips - Absolutely not a premium quality product. My wife and I had ordered two differing 10oz black angus steaks. Hers was at least twice the size of mine! Mine was over cooked. Lettuce wedge arrived - No cutlery to eat it. Having tried to get several staff members' attention we eventually took cutlery from a nearby table. We were seated away from the main part of the restaurant and were ignored. They were out of 2 drinks we tried to order. We ended up cancelling the final drinks order and skipping dessert to go home instead. My wife was literally really thirsty when we left (she was not drinking alcohol) because we couldn't get service!Upon paying the bill, my wife decided to broach the subject of the service with the waitress, politely and calmly, in a non accusatory or judgemental manner. The waitress acknowledged that the service was not as good as it should have been. We were willing to assume/understand that they may be suffering from staff isolating due to the covid 'pingdemic'. However, the waitress actually told us that it was because they had accepted lots of walk-ins beyond the number of booked tables!! It became incomprehensible for us to understand why a restaurant would do this. We will be unlikely to celebrate at M&C in the future, whether as a couple, household or extend family, which is extremely sad given the past experiences we had enjoyed.

Go elsewhere!! This place has definitely gone downhill. Service wasn’t great despite few customers. Food disappointing. Salmon was dry and overcooked, broccoli soggy and chips were oily and undercooked. Sent one portion back. Lots of flies around our food which was very off putting. Plenty of nicer restaurants to spend your money.

Had a beautiful meal with amazing service from Gemma. The onion loaf and beef dripping sauce was divine and we didn’t have to wait long at all. Will definitely be coming again.

Me and my boyfriend came for dinner, we were served by Gemma, she was really friendly, I decided I wanted to try something different and she was so patient and went through the menu with me!! I felt so relaxed and not rushed!! It was sooo hot so I went outside and Gemma even came and notified us the food was coming which I felt was really nice as normally it’s just left on the table.I don’t usually leave reviews but I really left feeling like my custom was valued I feel it’s just the added touches and the kind gestures that make me feel more relaxed and not just a number on a table!! Gemma was amazing, a real asset to the team!!

We had a lovely meal and served by Donna who couldn’t have been more fantastic. Gemma was an amazing waitress and really helpful to me and my family and gave us the request we needed and went above and beyond for us.

Booked for 8:30pm. Alexis was our waitress and she was lovely. Nothing was too much for her, and she was very friendly. The food was delicious no complaints. The only thing were the drinks tasted a bit too strong, but don’t worry we still drunk them. Thanks for a great time will definitely visit again.

First time coming back since covid, Can honestly say that Alexis made the experience. I have previously struggled in other restaurants with the cooked preference of steak, her recommendation was perfect and she was super helpful. Didn’t let us pour our own wine too which is great service.

I attended Miller and Carter Shirley/Solihull with my mum and sister to celebrate my babies gender reveal and I was definitely not disappointed! The food was exquisite and an amazing size steak for the price, cooked to perfection(my taste). We were served by ALEXIS and she was absolutely lovely, bubbly and made sure we were comfortable and regularly checked everything was fine. Customer service is so important and can make an evening so much better, so really appreciate the service Alexis provided, thank you! We had a lovely time. Definitely worth visiting - lovely atmosphere.

Myself and a couple of friends visited miller and once again and to say we were blown away by the experience, the service was great a small lad called Craig served us and the food was cooked to perfection (Craig informed us chefs name is lee). The steak was seasoned beautifully, with eye catching diamond marks on too. The service was friendly, quick, thoughtful. Made us feel like we were special. Visited on Sunday for a nice catch up with a friend. I can never knock the service here, but today was even better. Gemma was so lovely and gave brilliant recommendations for our sides. Overall a great visit. Will definitely return!

Had a very pleasant lunch yesterday at Miller & Carter, Solihull. Our table hostess , Donna, greeted us warm and friendly manner and she allowed us time to settle in before asking if we’d like to order drinks. Our meals were cooked exactly a We had requested and was both tasty and plentiful. Donna checked to see that all was well and as a consequence we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon experience. We had made some special requests when we booked online and all our requirements were fully met. A recommended lunchtime venue in our opinion. Our thanks to M&C and particularly to Donna whose attentiveness was most welcomed.

Late 60th birthday celebration. Food, service and atmosphere all spot on. Waitress was faultless, nothing too much trouble.

Came for food Thursday and it was fantastic, the food was delicious and the staff were very attentive, the only criticism would be the wine glasses on the table had visible lipstick marks on them. Maybe give them a wipe with a dry cloth/napkin before they go in the wash..

So lovely to be out and about again eating at one of our favourite restaurants. Food and drink amazing, and Gemma our waitress was attentive and courteous.

I arrived 2 minutes early and despite not getting seated that quickly Gemma quickly turned that around, introducing herself and taking our order immediately, despite being rushed off her feet. A true asset to the company! She was engaging, adding personality to an exceptional service and we can’t thank her enough. To top it off her help in selecting various menu items to match with our chateaubriand was first class. Amazing food with amazing service, thank you Gemma.

I had a lovely celebratory meal out today at Miller and Carter. The food was delicious, so well cooked and such a treat after my own shoddy cooking during lockdown! We had lovely service by Donna who was really friendly, chatty and helpful. The atmosphere was lovely, it was so nice to see people out and enjoying themselves after so long. I had been craving a Miller and Carter for months and it did not disappoint!

First time me and my partner had ever visited a Miller and Carter, and we had a really enjoyable experience. We were waited on by a lovely lady called Gemma she had impeccable customer service skills and looked after us very well. The food was Phenomenal and as was the service Definitely be returning thank you Gemma.

First meal out in 18 months. Absolutely delicious. Scallops then 50 day aged filet mignon. Gemma served us, nothing was too much trouble, she explained the steaks to us. Due to my husband’s lettuce allergy everything was kept separate. Gemma really took great care of us and made our night even better. What a credit to M&C.

It was our first time out all together after lockdown and Adele made us feel very comfortable and being a vegetarian in a steak house can look a bit weird sometimes but Adele made me feel as if it was no problem at all. It was our friends birthday and she put a glass on a plate and celebrated with us and it was a really lovely personal touch. We love you Adele and we will be coming back to be served by her :)
