Giraffe in Solihull

Possibly the worst place in the whole airport. The staff are super rude. The whole place was empty, they told us to sit where we want and then a staff member tried to move us saying not allowed to sit. I had to ask them to take our order as staff were just chatting and not paying attention. Then I tried to order from the kids menu. We are vegetarian and the lady told us nothing vegetarian on the menu was available. So my daughter couldn’t eat anything. She then said “I could make the pancakes but the grill is all dirty from meat now”. Which I thought was super disgusting like they don’t clean the kitchen and grills. So be careful people as this kitchen might not be clean. Overall. A massive zero for the ride staff and lack of food. We left and didn’t eat.

This is the start of my holiday. Once I get through all the baggage stuff, checking in and security it’s lovely to sit down here and get a coffee and a breakfast. The staff are very helpful and efficient. The food is very good and always served with a smile. It’s a really nice place to unwind ready for our holiday.

Great brekki burrito , the eggs Benedict were dry bread was old , asked to change staff was great , got a new one slightly better but not great. In a hurry with a flight to catch couldn’t stay longer

Excellent breakfast service from the lively Kumraz at Birmingham airport, had a relaxing experience to set us up for our flight.

Kumraz was our server very pleasant and welcoming. The food was cook to prefection, just how i like my scramble eggs and mushrooms.The manager Pauline was lovely and very friendly. I would recommend this spot as the first stop before boarding.

My server was great, the food was nice

I ordered the teriyaki chicken. Unfortunately the chicken is breaded which it does not explain on the menu. The healthier option I had planned was therefore not what I got. I questioned this with the staff, there was no apology, or explanation. Poor food, poor customer service. A terrible experience.

Lovely and chilled when we were there excellent service. Only Marked down as the airport food is generally pricier now and don’t seem to get as much.

Had the eggs royale and the granola as part of a very early start. Ingredients seemed fresh and both were tasty. Not cheap however and if you want a glass of wine it will cost you £10.60 and a pint is £7.50

Great service - rather than stupid self service via an app

I travel often from Birmingham Airport and always head straight to giraffe , my last visit was nothing short of fantastic yet again especially our server Rae who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect!

Myself and my children ate here and was greeted by the lovely Rae who was an absolute diamond, my son is autistic and she went above and beyond to attend to his needs so thank you Rae you are a credit to the company

Came here for a really nice meal before our flight. Was served by a lovely waitress named Lauren. Will definitely come back before our flight again for the service alone. The food was very excellent too.

My Experience at the Giraffe was amazing, I would recommend any/everybody to have a sit down and enjoy some food before waiting or after coming or a flight. There were a ton of options for a meat eater like myself, but a wide range of vegetarian options for other members of my family. Will definitely be going back to this establishment very soon.

Whatever happened to proper giraffe portions? The ribs including chips shrunk a third of the portion it used to be. Still charging a whopping £23! When asked, the waitress admitted and apologised. Well, sorry you, giraffe. One frequent customer lost. Looks like you will be facing a Kalahari drought!

The Japanese Katsu Chickens were a bit dry but the avocado spread with salmon was really good and fresh.

Giraffe at Birmingham International. Friendly and attentive staff who were welcoming as well as knowledge about their GF food options. Kitchen has a separated prep areas and a clear menu of what was available. Clean restaurant and tables. Would recommend and will be back.

Another lovely breakfast here before our flight from Birmingham in December. We used to use the lounges but Giraffe is far better value. Lovely fresh ingredients served by very polite staff. Will always come here before our flights now. Next one in March 2024. Dave & Vanesss

Looked very good and staff fantastic. We both had fish n chips one was not cooked . Staff reacted perfectly getting a fresh dish prepared quickly and took the cost off the bill.10/10. Why wasn't it cooked ? Can't fault front of house , very positive in a poor situation .
