The food was perfect the service from Cindy exemplary. Then I tried to use the QR code on the receipt to leave a review. Doesn't work folks. Using the airport WiFi. Needs sorting out....

Well presented restaurant. We went at on odd time; around 11am where the breakfast menu had finished but personally I felt it was too early for lunch (they told us they didn’t have any stir fries or curries anyway that day). We had the all day breakfast which was essentially a couple of breakfast items and chips; uninspiring, over priced and not particularly good. Coffee was excellent however. Service seemed stressed and stretched despite being quiet

I can only vote for service not for food because I waited over 30 minutes to make an order. Even after asking (two times) no one comes. it's a shame when you are in the airport and time is really important.

Overpriced, half the breakfast was cold, no one asked how is the food, is everything satisfactory etc, they don't care obviously. Asked to be seated somewhere quiet (as I have sensory issues) and she then proceeded to fill up the seats around us. Could have put us at the back as it was quieter there

Mixed experience. My partners food was stone cold on arrival. My chicken teriyaki rice bowl appeared with breaded chicken for some unknown reason when it simply states 'chicken' on the menu. This was corrected and I was served grilled chicken instead but the initial issue and my partners poor food results in a low score.

The presentation of the food is fantastic and it tasted really good. Server was very friendly and helpful.

Me and my family visited this restaurant before our flight to Turkey. It was everything we needed before a flight, we could not have asked for. Our server was a guy named Adam who gave us friendly service and answered all our questions quickly. We ordered avocado on toast, eggs Benedict and a breakfast hash. They all tasted great we were glad we chose it. We will definitely be back again next time we have a morning/early afternoon flight.

Mi familia y yo visitamos este restaurante antes de nuestro vuelo a Turquía. Era todo lo que necesitábamos antes de un vuelo, no podíamos haber pedido. Nuestro servidor era un tipo llamado Adam que nos dio un servicio amable y respondió a todas nuestras preguntas rápidamente. Pedimos aguacate en tostadas, huevos Benedict y un hachís de desayuno. Todos sabían muy bien, nos alegramos de haberlo elegido. Sin duda volveremos de nuevo la próxima vez que tengamos un vuelo de mañana / temprano por la tarde.

Ordered food this morning and in the last layer, one of the banana piece looks like some one already had a bite. Teeth marks visible - either they are recycling the left over food or someone in the kitchen was hungry! Did complain about it and I was told that they will havw a word with kitchen staff!!! Just make sure if you are eating here to mention that please no recycle food and make sure to check it thoroughly once it arrive. But disappointed really and disgusted 🤮

Visited Giraffe around 4am, very busy but was seated straight away by a lovely lady. All table service which was quick despite how busy it was. Drinks arrived first and breakfast not long after. Was very tasty and will definitely return. Friendly staff and great atmosphere

GR8 airport fooderie (much better than WotHorPon's) Fast service & fresh food.... recommend the Bondi burger

Had a great experience, the staff were polite and friendly. The food is really good and I do recommend chicken tacos it’s a must try.

Excellent and speedy service considering how busy it was the guys were very attentive and couldn't thank our waiter I believe his name was Danny, just before we were going to Barcelona it was a great experience and will definitely be returning for our next holiday. Also I am a picky eater and I wanted to swap some things over and Danny spoke to the kitchen.

So we arrived and we cleared the table the young lad was lovely then we where approached by Stefan Young black lad saying we are a hosting restaurant and if you would’ve waited, he would’ve seated you but never mind you’re here now there was no one at the hosting table. People were just walking in. I was pretty shocked. I’m disappointed to be approached by someone who did not understand the circumstances no host Stefen if you’re reading this, please be a bit more polite to your customers. Such a shame really you ruined the experience.

Not what I normally expect from Giraffe. Service was slow! Its an airport! Ordered drinks, they don't have them then the food came, bread was soggy and the "smashed avocado" is out of a squeeze bottle. Food was bland! Ordered another drink, they don't have it. Finally tried to finish off my food with a Peroni, guess what, they. Didn't have it. The manager needs to rethink his priorities.

Can't comment on the food as I we never stayed long enough to find out. I use Giraffe a lot for work at other airports, Heathrow mainly, and it's great. This one is a shambles. We were seated, and waited, and waited and waited. They seem to think they are in the Bull Ring, not an airport. Went to the bar to order and got told to sit. So we waited, and waited. Watched staff giggle and joke among themselves, and walk around aimlessly, so after 15 minutes we went somewhere else. Clearly Giraffe do not want my money... must be doing well.

Airports are a conglomeration of big brands these days which in the hospitality sector is an excuse to serve poor quality food yet at significantly higher prices than their High St outlets. Nice to find Giraffe in Birmingham airport seem to buck the trend when visiting it. Nice tidy restaurant with staff ensuring tables were cleaned & Sanitised between use and the servers could even chat to their customers - with smiles. Their menu really did have a global feel to it and our chicken taco sharing platter was a great example of what was an excellent menu. Alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks were very reasonably priced.

Food was actually good but service was horrible! Took ages to get seated, I kept checking my watch and thinking maybe I should just grab some burger king next door but I just simply didn't want to eat burger king food. The people that work there seem to not understand that people are a bit crunched for time since it is, in fact, in an airport. I already knew what I wanted so when I finally got seated I tried to order immediately but 3 waiter/waitresses told me to wait but never came back! I had to pull the attention of a 4th one who finally got my order through, kudos to her as she was actually quite nice.

Sat for 10 minutes with no service. Went to the front to order and was told table service only. Three staff members continued to stay there and chat amongst themselves, definitely were not working. After a little wait, we gave up and left for somewhere else. They don't seem to recognise that people are often in a hurry at a airport, nor care about having business or not.

It is located inside Birmingham Airport after immigration and past the duty-free shop. With a little bit left until the flight departure time, we had breakfast here. I ordered a basic breakfast and a flat white. The breakfast was ordinary, and the flat white was delicious. The biggest advantage of the restaurant is that the interior is pretty and the staff is very friendly. In addition to the breakfast menu, they also offer a variety of lunch and dinner menus, so it would be a good idea to order according to the time.

Come here all the time for pre holiday brekkie.. staff amazing esp Anna.. so attentive and efficient.. only down side today the food not very hot.. highly unusual. But still our favourite place for food at Bhx airport …

My partner and I arrived today and ordered huevos rancheros and the breakfast burrito, two teas and a coffee. We paid up front in case we had to rush for our flight and wish we had not. The only pleasant thing about the meal was the pomegranate tea. The Huevos rancheros came out as lukewarm and cold in the centre sweetcorn and beans, sliced mushroom on a tortilla. The texture was awful and the temperature was really strange. Despite being topped with two eggs and guacamole, the main part of the meal was tepid, cold in the middle and lukewarm outside. Unfortunately it was absolutely vile and I could only take two bites. My partners burrito was stodgy and the eggs were underdone, he only ate a small part of his meal. We paid upfront in good faith and were so disappointed. Upon speaking with the manager, who seemed exhausted and simply fed up, we explained that we had already paid, could we at least get a pastry to eat as we had not eaten anything. He attempted to explain away the temperature of huevos rancheros, and then tried to do the same about the burrito but then gave up and said it was poor. We ended up essentially paying forty pounds for a pain au chocolate and a croissant, two teas and a coffee that tasted like it was from a machine with burnt beans. We hate to complain, but it was our most disappointing dining experience we have ever had, and wish we would get our money back that was paid up front in good faith.

Service was lacking today - the staff need to learn to look round at customers in case they want anything, not just deliver and go. Food excellent as usual.

A highlight when i travel is when I fly from an airport with a Giraffe cafe, my standard order is a Bloody Mary and smashed avocado on toast. I’ve had this combo over twenty times in the last three years. This time is was like no-one cared. The Bloody Mary was vodka & tomato juice, no kick, no spice, not even any pepper. I sent it back and drank water. The avocado on toast was unlike any I’d ever gad from a Giraffe cafe. Yes, it was smashed avocado on toast with a sprinkling of seeds, but merely a scrape of avocado, with a few seeds, not the beautiful looking toast slathered in avocado which I usually get. Mine looked like s small child had prepared it. Anyway, my airport ritual has been broken. I won’t be back. It’s been a good run but clearly time to move on!

Poor, Slow Service in a half empty Restaurant and Tasteless Food.

Richard and the team in the branch are absolutely fantastic. Nothing was too much and they made the start of our honeymoon a fantastic one by serving incredible food and being so polite. Nothing was too much for anyone despite the restaurant being busy at the time, they still provided everyone with amazing service! We will 100% be back. Thank you!

They advertise as serving Gluten free food, one of our party is Gluten free and vegetarian Only meal they could guarantee as not having any contamination risks were nachos!! Even the fries apparently have a risk in their kitchen. Sadly no where else was any better. If you cannot offer gluten free then you should not put it on the menu

Not a great experience. :( 1) WiFi didn’t work so struggled to use the online menu and do the purchase. It would be better for the restaurant to provide its own hotspot to make this all smoother (the airport WiFi is not fit for purpose and the mobile data network was really struggling to the point it was not useable) 2) the staff didn’t seem to be in any hurry to make sure you got served, or even pay for the meal when we were done. Also not very organised. People who came in later got served first for some bizarre reason. 3) Food was not great or the coffee. Food felt lukewarm. I normally clear the plate, but in this case couldn’t stomach finishing it. All in all, quite disappointing. I will avoid this restaurant next time. Getting burger would have been easier, quicker and smoother.

Might as well go to Burger King! We ordered breakfasts. It was really bad. Scrambled eggs like rubber. Cold tomatoes. Tinned mushrooms. I would go on, but you get the idea. My partner’s food was not what was ordered. Staff were friendly, but that is about all I can say.

It was between this and weatherspoons but we went for the wrong choice with here. Full breakfast came out with 5 minutes so was quick but felt like it had been under a heater. No toast and pretty bland. Not terrible and of course airport prices but later seeing weatherspoons breakfast it appeared visually it looked better than Giraffe. Coffee was shocking - watery and bitter

Just not equipped to deal with busy periods staff didn’t seem to know what was happening. I had to go and ask for our food after about 45 min and it was almost instantly out meaning it was sat there ready but they weren’t bringing it out. Because of the delay we had to rush the food really. The food itself was good, can’t fault that.

The food here was served quickly and is of a good standard. We can recommend the fish and chips or the Cheese Burger. Very impressed by the service at Giraffes in Birmingham airport. Thank you Nelia!

Nice place. I can hang around, while I arrived stupidly early for my flight. Great nachos.

Once Mongo with the South west and North east eyes had checked us in he went to look for an empty table only to get confused with who he was dealing with in the first place. Because we were running to a tight schedule we first had to confirm with the manager the wait time. He confirmed it would be NO longer than 10 minutes. After 24 minutes the food hadn’t come out and we quickly had to pay for our drinks and leave, only after first paying the waiter who had breath like an aged xenamorph after a 240 year space sleep. I would only come here if you have plenty of time to spare

Had a really good experience here I was an assisted by shona so lovely and really good energy she made the experience better for me while dining , will definitely be back again !

Enjoyed a santa fe salad and a bottle of Italian white wine. Very busy and despite being warned food would be 30mins it came out within 10. Friendly attentive waiter. Reasonably priced for an airport.

Worst food I've ever experienced, I would be embarrassed charging for it.

The way they make you wait you for the food reminds me of being on death watch at an old age home it can go on for ever . The food is medieval , I ordered prawns cooked in a rather complex way , I think when they came out of the kitchen they were stone cold and so the waitress tried heating them up and killing them at the same time with her acrid breath .The Korean chicken wings were served with some form chicken feed sauce with diced vegetables they looked forlorn , uninspiring , insipid and had they not been dismembered the chicken would have looked how his hands looked on a plate and would have committed suicide . The pineapple had been cut into pieces possibly a few years ago and then thrown on the kitchen floor to see if it was still a bit bouncy and could go on the plate or would do well in a juicer. In all a deeply uncongenial meal.

The lady in charge of seating people didn’t seem to understand she was in an airport where people were short for time. She acted like my question about how long it would be to get us seated was somehow rude and then she warned our server about me! Birmingham airport security it taking a while at the moment, we had got there at the right time and ended up with an hour in the departures lounge. Just some reassurance that we would be seated and served quickly (it is an airport after all and this is essential) would have been all that was needed. The food was exactly as we ordered although I would say expensive for the quality.

One of our dishes was delivered to another table. Had to accept the dish as a takeout so we didn't miss the flight.

Food was exceptional, and the staff were so friendly during our long delay waiting for our flight. Next time I’m in Birmingham airport this is the first place I would come. I know previously I would go to Spoons - but trust me this place is the place to go!

The staff were absolutely lovely, our TUI flight was 4 hours delayed and they made the experience as stress free and enjoyable as possible. 100% recommend this place if you are at birmingham airport

Was fairly empty so we went to take a seat but was told to wait and staff member walked off When another came near I asked her if we could sit down and she said she would clean the table. Both staff looked bored, never smiled, barely spoke While we waited to order we watched loads of people walk in, then be told to go out and wait for someone to come and see them. Why on earth isn’t there a sign saying ‘please wait to be seated’?! A few people just left as no one came over for a while. When they did they were really slow, picked menu up and just pointed for customer to follow them. We ordered and drinks came within 20 minutes, food a bit later. It was mediocre, not worth the price and we won’t be back Disorganised and disinterested - very poor We saw 1 person smile, so I guess she can have the 1 star

I’ve had the pleasure of eating here a few times whilst travelling too many locations around the world on business, the service and attentiveness from the staff here is exceptional, I’ve never had cause to complain about the service, my colleague and I had the full breakfast, which I must say was cooked excellently, thank you to all the team at this establishment for making the start of our vacation a PERFECT start 110% well done all.

It took 3 attempts to bring my food out in an edible state… sat on the hot plate for ages I think and all dry and crusty. Been here several times but will think again after this visit

Main/only problem is with the prices but that's to be expected given the location is at an airport. Good service, food and portion sizes.

It is fascinating how this restaurant has different famous foods many different world cuisines. The prawn saganaki and bloody mary were amazing. The katsu sandwhich was very disappointing and not remotely similar to the japanese dish, unfortunately. Intstead of white bread, they use a crusty ciabatta, which is much heavier and tougher to digest. The katsu were more like thin schnitzel, with few meat and a lot of oily breading. The staff is very professional and kind.

We went this morning as flying early, not too busy and all the staff were friendly. I found it quite expensive if I’m honest, 3 out of our 4 meals were ok I had Eggs Benedict, my daughters had Nutella pancakes or apple and cinnamon, but the big breakfast my wife had wasn’t great, beans looked nuked, scrambled egg was cold ( I think brought in) and when it came back after mentioned to staff it was hot it just looked horrid. £70 for the above meals and 4 non alcoholic drinks.
