Miller & Carter in Solihull

Excellent experience tonight. Greeted straight away and sat by the manager who was friendly and polite. Looked after by Penny. Brilliant service, quick, attentive and made it a very positive evening. We had the butchers block, everything cooked perfectly, wish we had more room for dessert. Highly recommend the marrow bone with brisket!

5 of is went for my daughters 30th birthday. Arrived at 19.15, Took 1 hour and three quarters for food to arrive at 20.55, during this time no one came near us to offer further drinks or to explain about the food delay. Food was average and not worth the money. The night was ruined as this left no time for dessert or the birthday cake on our return home. Would not return, extremely over rated

As always, great food, environment, excellent service from Bridget, just a great atmosphere spent a comfortable 2.5hrs not rush or hassled.

Visited midweek, was hosted and served by Penny. She was attentive and was always on hand for assistance to not only ourselves but the other tables near. Food was tasty and warm, would recommend.

Popped in for a quick lunch before a long drive home. The steak was amazing, as was the service by the lovely Penny & Nette!

Penny was excellent and food was also great, 3 steak sandwiches and starters for a reasonable price would return at some point.

Very professional presentation of the food & the waitress was very knowledgeable, efficient & friendly. We went for the 3 course meal for £33 with a £8 supplement for fillet steak. The only reservation was that my steak was medium rare but was cooked well done.

The food was really good, very tasty and not too pricey. The service was excellent, quick without being too fast and the staff were extremely efficient and friendly.

Simon looked after us and he was very friendly and jolly. The food was lovely - highly recommended. It was for my mom’s birthday and he really looked after her.

Came in once again with some friends and had a brilliant meal and drinks and to top it off we had brilliant service by Sara who really made sure we had a brilliant time!

Me and my friend came in for lunch and had an amazing meal with some cheeky cocktails. We were served by Sara who was a joy to talk to and made sure we were always happy with our food and that our drinks where topped up.

Welcoming and consistently friendly even in the busy periods . Theres always a variety to pick from on the menu which is always good. Sara was brilliant couldn't do enough for us. Credit to the chefs though as they need to be commended also. Will be back again.

We came in for lunch today with the children and was served by Sara and Pris who are absolutely lovely. We love this particular Miller and Carter as we know we always get the best service and we have never been disappointed. Food is always delicious and cocktails go down a treat. We will of course be back!

Apart from the restaurant being very cold everything was perfect. We told our waitress Sara that we were cold, so she moved us to another table which was great. We ordered to fillet steaks which were cooked beautifully. The service was superb even though Sara looked very rushed off her feet, but she remained very professional and smiley. Thankyou and we will look forward to come again

Squid starter was bland ,visually and taste, the 'slaw' on the duck wings (the starter I originally wanted, brisket croquettes wasn't available ) looked like it had been sat for a week, certainly not appetising. Complaint fell on deaf ears.Steak ok but nothing special, the onion cake was ok, the elderly waitress did her best but was out of her depth bless her...Even the interior wasn't inspiring and definitely felt like a chain. Won't rush back, a beefeater with the prices bumped up.

Ate here with my family on Tuesday. The place was quite busy for a Tuesday which came across as a surprise but once we had sat down and had started to eat it began to hit home why there were so many people there. The food was all very well presented from starters to mains. The pork belly was very refreshing and just the right portion and the fillet steak was the best I've had for ages. The service was just as good as the food. Thank You Jess for looking after us. Well worth a visit if your in the area. Keep up the good work.

On my second visit to this up market eatery,I found it to be as enjoyable as the first. The food and service were very good,having said that I have eaten a good few steaks which were equally on a par with the ones served here, at at least half the cost I must add.What more can I. Say an enjoyable evening was had by all.

We usually use Miller and Carter about 5 times a year mainly for celebrations etc. The Solihull one was our regular but after a couple of poor meals Hockley Heath was our choice after a smashing meal in September. This time was a let down. The lettuce was brown and limp. My steak was cold and the Wifes cut was full of fat. To top this off my BBQ spare ribs had no BBQ sauce on it and was luke warm. The menu has changed too with fewer choices. The waitress refunded one of the steaks but it wasn't a refund we wanted it was a decent meal.

The food was OKThe drinks were OKThe service was OKThe pricing was OKThey played Katie Meluah which made most of the above pretty unpalatable but I can't blame the restaurant or staff for Katie Meluah... can I?

Have visited this Miller and Caret a few times now and I have always been impressed with the quality of food. The steaks are amazing and cooked to perfection. Very friendly service every time we have been. I would definitely return.
