Fantastic service from Nette and Penny today. My father said best hospitality he has had for a long time. I’ve had a very enjoyable 40th Birthday and the food was amazing.

Large family party some from overseas had a get together at Miller & Carter Hockley Heath and we had a fantastic time ! We had a large table in our own space that was a little separated from the rest of the restaurant so we could chat and laugh without upsetting other diners also we had a toddler with us so she was able to walk round the table to say hello to family. Our waitress was Sylvia and she was amazing so warm & friendly chatted with the little one and managed to get everyone’s order correct amongst all the chatter & noise ( there were 14 of us) and it all arrived more or less at the same time so we ate together, and it was hot and delicious plus Sylvia even remembered what most of us had ordered! 10/10 for Sylvia and 5 star for the restaurant I’d definitely recommend Miller & Carter and as a family we’ll definitely go back.

Food has really gone down hill my halloumi start was burnt and also come out with different sauce that to be honest was like soup not sauce theses used to be one of my favourites my main food was cold the chips were cold my onion loaf was cold ot was so underwhelming been coming to miler for years but it is definitely changed and dont think i will be eating there again

Had fillet steak cooked to perfection, was looked after by Sylvia who was very pleasant and helpful, my wife wanted to try the lettuce wedge with the chilli dressing, Sylvia suggested a pot on the side rather than poured over which was perfect, thank you Sylvia for making our stay very enjoyable

We had late lunch here Sat 12th October just me and my boyfriend and Sylvia looked after us. She was so lovely and had such a calming presence. Food was amazing too :)

Fabulous evening with friends. Our waiter was a saint! So many of us, but the food just kept coming. No waiting and delicious.

Ordered fillet steak and Dirty Burger. Took an hour to arrive. Both were cold. Waitress took some convincing to replace them. She initially said it was because we ordered steak rare 🤣🤣. Not sure why that would make the burger cold. Replacement burger was fine. Replacement steak was cold and awful quality. See photo. That cost £35! Felt like they just threw a crap steak out to the whingers. It had taken so long that we couldn't be bothered complaining again. Got £15 off but not sure that makes up for such poor food. Still cost £70 for a burger, basically.

A birthday treat for my wife and I on her birthday. We had a lovely table for 2 out of the way. Cath our waitress was amazing and made us feel special. We were particularly grateful for the advice she gave with regards to the cooking of the steak. The food was lovely, all cooked exactly how we wanted and delicious. We were able to take our time over each course. Worth every penny.

Sometimes you read a menu and you want them to prove it. I think they under sold this one as the burger was the best I’ve ever eaten and I like burgers! So good, like really good! I deconstructed it as I’m not an animal. Top layers of steak and onion with a side of gravy…lush! Congrats to the chef!

My partner and I had dinner at Miller & Carter in Hockley Heath on Saturday night, and I have to say, the experience was outstanding. While the food was absolutely delicious, it was our waitress, Cath, who truly made our evening special. Her attention to detail, dedication, and warm personality made us feel not just well-served but genuinely looked after and spoiled. Cath went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful time, and her genuine care and professionalism did not go unnoticed. Miller & Carter are incredibly lucky to have someone like Cath on their team. It’s rare to find someone who can turn a great dining experience into a memorable one, and for that reason alone, we will definitely be returning. Thank you, Cath, for making our evening so enjoyable!

We visited Miller and carter for a meal and our waitress Sylvia made it that extra bit more special. Sylvia was very accommodating, kind , and helpful. She even pointed us in the right direction on the menu and showed us her favourites which was a lovely touch. Outstanding service, Sylvia made our night!!

We were made to feel very welcome by Nette, who was accompanied with Maz who was learning the floor. They were both very friendly and processional and they made our visit so enjoyable. The food was great. Being a vegetarian I was pleasantly surprised by the good choice. I'll be visiting again. :-)

Had a lovely meal here to celebrate my son’s GCSE results. The food was really good and the service was great. Sylvia was our server and she was very sweet and attentive. She even brought my son an extra special dessert which was honestly so lovely of her.

This is certainly the best M&C out of the 2 in the area. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is very nice, always a good fillet steak. I recommend upgrading to the chunky chips, they are lovely!

Had an excellent lunch from the Fixed Price menu, terrific value for money. The mushrooms were delicious and rump steak cooked perfectly. Didn't need the apple pie but had it anyway. Fabulous food, superb service with a special mention to Julie, Liam and the barman for looking after us so well. Will definitely be back !

Lovely meal in relaxed atmosphere with excellent service from Sylvia. Staff from entry to exit were friendly and helpful. Steaks were great and ribs I had were tender and succulent. Cost is average and slightly above pub meals.

The best miller and carter we've been to

Good choice of Steak but a little disappointed with quality at this price point (£37 for rib eye steak)

We were at Miller & Carter celebrating a birthday. There was a large group of us, including a baby. They have highchairs... We arrived toward the end of my lunch time, but we were able to see the Pre-Fixe Lunch menu. Most of us ordered from that. Many had the Rump Roast, but I had the Steak Sandwich. I had the Mushrooms in Cheese Sauce for a starter and the Brownie for dessert. I also ordered a side of mash potatoes with camembert cheese. It was pretty fantastic... Service was quick and accurate. We were a large group and they didn't miss a beat... The restaurant interior is quite nice, wood paneling. They have a nice outdoor patio in the front too.

Always a lovely friendly and welcoming atmosphere here! We choose to come here, even though there is one closer as its always a garenteed great night 🧡 Ps. Simon always makes our experience memorable, and he always remembers our preferences! We reccomend everyone to come here x

We visited here for our nephew’s communion and was greeted By Simon straight away you could tell he was welcoming and Quite the comedian, very different to your usual waiter very bubbly And made the kids laugh especially with his jokes , better than your usual serious waiter he made our night would definitely visit again Just to be served by him

A big surprise. Great food and service. Will be returning. A go to regular place. They have this menu with 'something on the side'. I created a half rack of ribs, button mushrooms, sautéed greens and fries for £12 appx. Scrummy!

After ordering a steak medium it arrived at my table raw in the middle asked them to do something about it after waiting another 10 minutes for it to come back it was returned to me the same piece of steak re cooked was as tough as old boots the rest of the family had all had their meals and finished told them about the steak being tough was asked would I like a fresh one cooked Surely the frist one should’ve been a new piece of steak cooked when returned not the first one re-cooked got that taken off the bill but overall the experience of this steakhouse would mean we would not return there.

We’re attended a wedding in the area, and forgot that Sunday falls on Father’s Day. It was our daughter’s 5th birthday, Father’s Day, and we were starving on the way home. We googled availability at a few of your restaurants and got lucky at the Hockley site. We were so lucky to have the best service!!!!- by a lady whose name starts with an “S” I believe. The restaurant was busy, but she had a smile on her face, the meal went smooth, food was delicious, and she even managed to surprise our daughter with a little birthday treat and song. All in all, we always love M&C, but this visit was exceptionally perfect! Please thank her for us! ❤️

Great service as I have come to expect from M&C restaurants. My rib eye steak was cooked perfectly and was complimented beautifully by the beef dripping sauce.

Me and my husband are regular customers to Miller and Carter in Lancing, West Sussex and came to this one while on holiday. We were not disappointed. Was a nice quiet place with great food and service. Our waiter Simon was such a laugh and a generally nice guy. If we come back up to Solihull way again we will be back!

A lovely meal for a special birthday. Only downfall was a rowdy stag party. The staff dealt with them very well.

What a shame. Such a hit and miss restaurant. When it’s good it’s lovely, but when it’s bad they really get it wrong. After our visit yesterday, we were really disappointed. Considering it’s a steak house, I don’t get how it could have been so bad. My husband and I ordered the 12oz ribeye medium rare. They both came really thin more like a flat iron steak. Mine was medium, husbands was cooked with not even a hint of pink. No marbling on any part of our steaks, which is what a ribeye should have. My daughter ordered the 8oz rib eye medium rare which was the thickness you expect from a ribeye and cooked perfectly. When the waitress came to clear the plates, she asked if the steaks were ok as we hardly ate them. We told her that we weren’t happy with them and explained why. She apologised and asked if we wanted to order something else, but we did not fancy anything else to eat after the experience. It was disappointing that we were still charged £140 in all for food we didn’t enjoy or eat.
