Divine Restaurant in Solihull

Overall disappointing. Despite been the 2nd occupied table in the restaurant they could not accommodate our request to a side table of four (in favour of a table in the middle just incase a bigger party arrived .. that didn’t happen, but ok in principle). We then waited 50 minutes for our meal, after the initial course, (we didn’t complain as, in good manner, appreciated that lots of delivery orders were being dispatched). Eventually we were served with our meal and 2nd drink but no sooner had we finished the meal was ushered off the table as the next customers were waiting (without the chance to finish our drinks). We were not advised about the time restrictions on dining, and had the food been served in a reasonable time we would have had the chance to meet the, un-communicated, limited dining policy.

Casual yet elegant Indian dining experience. Plenty of interesting and unique dishes on offer, that you won't find anywhere else e.g duck and lobster dishes. Quite a few fish/seafood options. Even Indian style fish and chips is on the menu. Not cheap - definitely more expensive than other offerings locally, but you get what you pay for. That said, I would happily come back for a special occasion or something. Service was excellent. The waiters and waitress were friendly and helpful. If you haven't visited before, put Divine on your list of restaurants to try.

Absolutely beautiful food, the service was impeccable, the staff were attentive and couldn’t do enough. The decor and atmosphere was stunning. Lovely touch with a rose and heart chocolates for Valentine’s Day too. Definitely recommend and wll be back. Thank you ❤️

Fabulous food - super helpful staff. Definitely our place to go in future. Service a little slow but don’t mind that if food cooked fresh …worth the wait! Only thing I would add is the bill was wrong (overcharged for two extra Corona’s) When we got home we noticed they had charged us extra for a naan bread as well 😜 They refunded the drinks so not a problem. we’ll just check the bill in future! I think it was a genuine mistake . Overall the best curry stop in Solihull/Shirley in our book - All five of us said it’s the one to be beaten 👍

as soon as you walk you feel comfort, the staff who work their instantly make you feel at home food bang on time, tastes amazing I mean words don’t do justice you’ll have to go yourself n experience everything I’m talking about trust me worth every penny also a lot of places you go to you just eat n want to walk out here it’s not like that you just feel calm relaxed great atmosphere great vibe honestly I didn’t mind spending extra time just sitting n chilling. Fantastic experience I highly recommend everyone to go their n see for yourself what exactly I’m talking about…

Absolutely brilliant, ayan the waiter was fantastic.

I was asked to join a group for a christmas day meal at this restaurant, first time i had ever been there so i was interested to sample the food. sitting was at 2pm while the restaurant has a nice atmosphere i have to say the overall experience was not great for the following reasons. 1, Took ages to get the food for the starter to the table it was only average when it arrived and what i can say was a small portion and not piping hot 2. Main course again took ages to arrive the portion and the quality of my chicken dish was dissapointing what looked like a drum stick and some part of the chicken mainly bones in a thin brown watery gravy, had to ask 3 x times for the rice to be served very dissapointing for a main meal. 3. The desert was a chocolate brownie a solid dark brown slab of biscuit was served, ok it was a brownie but god it was tough hard to break and cold it needed to be warmed up to soften the bake. 4. Ok the establishment looked like it was sold out busy and that was the problem everyone arrived for an approximate 2pm kick off , but i just dont think the staff or kitchen was ready, ok its a nice looking place but the christmas offering was below what i would have expected, staff seemed more concerned with pushing drinks to the table rather than table service so not impressed. 5. £50 per head for a christmas day meal out may not be a lot but in my opinion this was a poor offering for the money 6. i have saved the most unfortunate bit till last of the members in our group 3 x members were ill the next day mainly upset stomach and the priciple eats had been our Christmas lunch this is concerning 3 x people all from the same group all having eaten at the same location worrying , so would i go back to this restaurant no i would not. I am of an age where i have eaten in hundreds of establishments around the UK, and especially in Birmingham where there are many fine asian restaurants sadly to say this is not one of them, they wont be on my must return list. Hope the other diners had a better experience than my group, happy new year to all, I did not want to write a response in temper i wanted a couple of days to consider my thoughts, i have been fair and honest with my appraisal, no i did not complain at the restaurant at the time, as i was not the principle organiser and i am not one to cause a scene its not my style, my simple conclusion is poor show guys average food very average and 3 x people feeling ull after eating at your location ? no wont ever return

The food was good but a bit overpriced. Parking is not great, but depending on the day, it could be different. The staff were great and the service was good. I'm not sure we would go here again due to the price only the food was good.

Been twice in the last month - excellent food but service is so slow… first time was a celebration and large table, was slow but forgiven as a busy Friday night. This time was just too slow. I appreciate that this is probably due to a small kitchen/team. This time we were a table of 3 midweek and it was (total time taken); 15 minutes to order, 30 mins to get poppadoms, an hour before starters and then an hour and 40 minutes before we got mains.. the staff explained that things were being made fresh but no offer of a drink/discount to account for how long these had taken.. hence this review as I think it’s unfair to charge people full price (like £4 for a small coke) without actually acknowledging how slow things have been financially. Go, as the food is excellent but make sure you’re not in a rush.

A fantastic restaurant and a hidden gem in Shirley. Wonderful food with attentive and friendly service. A good range of options to suit vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Thoroughly recommended.

All you curry lovers out there was the worst curry I have had , garlic naan bread was tasteless, Will Never be going again
