Istanbul Restaurant in Solihull

We had a great time at this restaurant! The portions were super generous, especially the starters—they were definitely the highlight. The aubergine was packed with flavor, and the freshly baked bread was so light and fluffy. The salmon was a bit on the dry side, but it still tasted great when mixed with the veggies and salad. The mixed grill kebab was pretty good too, and the house wine was excellent. The staff were really attentive, and the prices were very fair for the amount of food. Overall, a great experience—we’ll definitely be back!

Pathetic service, understaffed and took ages for the food to come. The restaurant was busy so obviously very loud and the food when served after a long wait was cold too. Wouldn't recommend at all.

The food was fantastic! The only downside was the price. The service was good however they forgot to bring my soft drink for 40 minutes bearing in mind I was the only person in the party of 15 to have one and everyone else had their drinks. They did apologise mind. The restaurant atmosphere was lovely too. Great decoration.

My friend and I had wanted to come and try the food here for quite some time. I was very pleased and happy with our whole experience at the restaurant. From the moment we entered we were greeted by a lovely gentleman who seated us, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, it's nice and spacious, the tables aren't all crammed next to each other, the place was so welcoming and warm. We were helped by the waitress when ordering our food. We were given complimentary warm freshly baked Turkish bread, with olives and two dips, I was happily surprised by this! Our dishes came out and were absolutely delicious! The waitresses were very attentive and politely asked if we needed anything and if we were happy with our meals. After our main meal we even received complimentary Turkish tea and Turkish delights! I thoroughly recommend this beautiful restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

Waiters are very nice, especially female ones. They forgot the rice in my 2 items that I ordered. Portions can be larger considering the high price.

Such a welcoming service and environment, the staff is amazing and always ready ro serve the customers, the atmosphere is truly welcoming, with a delicious meal we are able to listen to amazing turkis music, the meat is cooked brillinatly and the savoury of the vegetable wich are cooked brilliantly.

It was really nice you get complimentary bread and tea as well free of charge. The lamb shisha wrap is amazing in particular

- waited an hour for a burger and the place wasn’t even busy - really bad service.

The staff is very lovely, the food is fantastic, if I lived in Birmingham I would come on every special occasion.

Service was great, Hamila was very helpful- solving everything quickly with her smile face always. Turkish tea was exactly the taste that we used to and fresh, I did drink 4 glass. Sarma lamb beyti and sutlaç is our fav here ! Lahmacun would ve been a bit more cruncy but taste and flavour was delicous. thanks !

WARNING!!! DO NOT COME HERE. I REPEAT DO NOT COME HERE!!! Found hair in my food. Told the waiter he said he will replace it for me. Waiting for him to replace 20 mins go by, the manager shows up and says we can’t replace the food the other waiter can’t say this to you. She then basically forces us to have FREE dessert instead rather than replace our original meal. The desert came out 2 burned pieces of baklava and 2 tiny cakes. Wasn’t given any ice cream even though it’s says on the menu. When I asked about the ice cream, I was told very rudely this is free so you don’t get ice cream!! DONT COME HERE TERRIBLE SERVICE TERRIBLE EXPERINCE. OWNER only cares about money. 0/5

Great service and location, convenient and family friendly, we have been welcomed by Haleema, her smile never left her face all the way, which made us comfortable. Food quality is great and really tender chicken and meat been served. I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family..

Lovely staff and service. But sat at a wonky table which is a shame, the music is a bit loud and random - it takes away from the atmosphere. Food was tasty for the most part, however, the babaganoush was not smoky or garlicky enough - it was soooo bland … like just tasted of straight up yoghurt. For the price you’re being made to pay these things matter.

I don't like to complain, but something happened here that hasnt happened to me in 12 years that i have been vegetarian and i cannot ignore it. I ordered the vegetarian Mousakka, and i was given a meat one which the waiter had told me was the veg one when he put it down. After a bite i realised instantly it was meat. I'm really traumatised by this. They are lucky that it isn't an allergy case on their hands. They didn't seem to understand the severity of the situation until my boyfriend who has been a chef for 15 years had to explain it to them quite angrily. I was offered a desert or drinks but my appetite was completely gone due to feeling sick. It made the table awkward then as it was a 30th birthday meal we were at and i feel that it ruined the atmosphere. It was the man waiter in the white shirt that made the mistake that should never happen in a restaurant. A mistake like this in future could kill somebody with an allergy. I'm writing this so that if you are vegetarian or have an allergy, you can consider not going to this restaurant after what happened to me.

We order baklava ( 4 pieces)and it was the WORST we’ve ever had! all of the three of us were completely disappointed! And the coffee half of it was the coffee grind so technically we drank only one sip

I loved every bite of it. Every single dish, side, condiment, and flavour, was superb, fresh, delicious, perfectly cooked, and pleasing to the eye (presentation). I will come back many many times. First lets start with the positives. Food was delicious, meat was flavourful. The service was awful, the staff and the manager in the white shirt had the worst attitude problem ever. I felt sorry for the 2 female waiting staff as he spoke to them like sh 1t. Never again

My family and I have been dining here for a number of years now and it never disappoints. The service is excellent and staff are friendly and go above and beyond. The food is plentiful with top quality ingredients, always fresh and beautifully presented. I visited this evening for just a small impromptu meal with my partner and children and even though we arrived closer to closing, we were seated and fed with the same wonderful and quick service as always- with fresh and delicious food. Always appreciated!

4 of us waited 2hrs for our meals but mine didn't arrive as it was given to someone else and I was then asked what I had ordered! I was in a group of 17 and the only one without a meal. Appalling service, I won't be returning.
