Thank you very much to Raj! We got a seat by the window as requested. Raj gave us some food recommendations (as we requested) and the food was amazing. He has a great sense of humour and does an amazing job! Thank you very much for this amazing time :)

This was my first time here. Raj recommended us excellently, I always have problems liking meat and the only he recommended was the perfect one!! He was keeping an eye on us to check all was good, we had a good laugh with him too. The location of the table was great, right at the window as we asked

The food we had was nice, but there were quite a few of items not available, including desserts that were on the festive menu and drinks we asked for which was disappointing on a Friday afternoon.

Booked the Christmas day meal. Not especially cheap - but when you consider what the big pub chains charge for Christmas day - it's well worth the extra imo. You get plenty of space - they put on enough staff and the food is good. Spectacular views over Birmingham as well.

Christmas day has been amazing here for us the food is extra scrummy yummy staff are realy friendly and nice and up for a bit of banter.

Alison was great and suggested a wine for our steak and not being a red wine drinker, I was happy with the choice. Alison was a joy to be served by and I'm so happy that such a beautiful woman was part of my Sunday. Thank you for your service and all your help!

The food and beverage offer, as always at M&C was second to none, the welcome from James, to begin, was rather defensive and unwelcoming which left a bad taste in the mouth. My original reservation was made via the app for 04, then increased on the M&C app using the “modify/amend booking” function. Despite showing James a screenshot of my attempt and confirmation message of increasing the party to 05guests, James became agitated and uninterested. I appreciate the restaurant was fully booked, however to say to a customer, that as an employee he doesn’t use the M&C app and only uses his computer was both offensive and dismissive. If I was James, my first action would be to at least attempt to accommodate the party, instead of simply stating he couldn’t seat us as he could only see us as a party of 04 on his computer! It later transpired that a table was becoming free and we simply had a 10mins wait whilst the previous guests were paying where our party of 05 were finally seated. After having our starters, James came back to us and asked if we wanted to move a booth for added space which was directly in front of us that was vacant the entire time, which we did. Whilst James did put the situation right in the end; my initial interaction with James was poor and dismissive and not normal service at M&C!

Angelo was absolutely amazing. Never in our face but always there when we needed something. He never made us feel we were rushed even though the restaurant was busy. Well done Angelo

So my daughter had booked here for my birthday and tickets to see Peter Kay at the arena 10 mins away from here,it was booked for 630 which gave us time to eat comfortably and then go to the arena,we went in and waited to be seen,young lad ask if we had booked ,which. We had,only to be told we could have to wait around 30 mins for our table ,because the people were still using it,there had been a mix up with there bill ,what that had to do with them still sitting there I don’t know ,we couldn’t hang around because of the show that’s why we booked the table the lad ,mckensize,wasn’t very helpful at all then walk off ,he then came back I ask him if I could speak to the manager he said he was busy sorting outa problem with another qroup of people ,basically they couldn’t have cared less ,I understand problems crop up ,but it’s how you deal with them in this case not very good and it wasn’t just us so I heard ,if we had just walked in and not booked I could understand we might have to wait ,they had my daughters number all they had to do is ring and tell us then we could have tried some where else ,in time ,ended up not having any food ,been to a few miler carters ,always been great ,but will not be returning to this one ,and the manager James doughty ,it’s not a very good look leaving your customers hanging around and not even bother to come over and at least acknowledge us ,

Poor unfriendly service. Walked in and two waitress just staring behind a wall laughing and making jokes about us. We were waiting to long with 5 to 8 people working there walking around doing little to nothing. One member of staff even kept bushed against us as they went by. Staff could not even asking us for drinks. First and last time. Would not recommend and needs a reviews of how they manage and treat customers seems like a lot of staff doing nothing to serve and deliver a good service.

Beautiful food & lovely night. However, booked festive menu through the website and on arrival told not started! No one called to tell me this, despite calling & leaving a message to ask to confirm details. It was not clear that this was not what we'd booked!

I had booked our visit to celebrate my graduation, I arrived still in my graduation robes and was greeted warmly by the wait staff. We were seated and our waitress was very pleasant and engaging, she gave us time to consider drinks and didn’t rush us to order. She guided my parents through the meal options and was really great service. However, when our meals arrived we had ordered 3 9oz rump steaks. Two of these looked perfect, thick cuts of steak, exactly how you’d expect from Miller and Carter, however the third was such poor quality in comparison. It was thin, full of fat and looked more like it was cooked at Wetherspoons than a high end Steakhouse. I raised this with our server and she kindly offered to replace the steak. However, a few minutes after the same steak was returned by a supervisor or manager, advising there was nothing wrong with it and I would be charged again for a replacement. I was not satisfied with this and she continued to argue the cut of meat was just ‘what came out of the packet’. As a business which prides itself on providing high quality steaks I would have been embarrassed to serve such an awful piece of meat. The manager/supervisor spent 5-10 minutes defending the awful meal until she accepted this was a quality issue and not a customer preference one when compared with the other 9oz rump steaks which had been provided to my family. The steak was replaced, however this meant I was without my meal for 20 minutes and then had to eat alone as my family had already finished their meals while they were still hot. No apology was made by the manager, however when our server returned she apologised for her managers behaviour and agreed the steak was poor quality. The remainder of our visit was as to be expected from M&C, gorgeous desserts and delicious cocktails. This was a quality issue, that piece of steak should never have left the kitchen and would have prevented it disrupting our celebration meal.

Visited yesterday after 4pm with the family, the food was insane, definitely recommend the fillet and the king prawn starter😍, served by Alex service was really good thank you we will be back

Had another lovely afternoon here before attending the Chris Stapleton concert last night. Food was lovely and service excellent. Niamh was lovely and very accommodating with our requests, she looked after us very well. The lady that greeted us ( sorry don't know your name) was also very welcoming. Overall another lovely afternoon spent at M&C at the mailbox. Thank you.

Great food, great service, nice settings. Enjoyed my ribeye steak, and of course my wine. My wife really enjoyed her vegetarian option. Don't normally expect that kind of inclusivity from a steakhouse so it was nice to see! Staff were mostly friendly and welcoming except for maybe one who seemed a bit on a downer, but all were great at what they do.

Excellent food and great service, only been to the mailbox a couple of times, really must go more often it was top quality.

Fairly standard Miller & Carter, in a good way.

I've not had a UK steak that came within a boats length of what is found in Recoleta (Buenos Aires). This was the closest run thing so far, an outstanding meal, excellent service and smart location.

We visited for our Daughters 21st last night with all the family, we were served by Ellie, who was so attentive and wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. Called the restaurant around 40 times to cancel/reschedule as i had paid a deposit but there was a family emergency. No one answered so ended up having to come so i didn’t lose money. Phones need to be answered quickly x

July 2022: Although I went once it opened there was not any atmosphere. However, the steak was fine with chips. I always want to try miller and carter and it did good.

Have visited many miller and carter's all over the UK, and have been too this one a number of times before. Always very busy and with a good atmosphere, went on a Saturday afternoon before going too a show . The food was good , I decided not too have a steak but go for the lamb instead , was perfectly good but could have been pinker and was a little bit too faty. Other than that all was great , service is always good and it's always good value for what you get .

Raj was very nice, funny, attentive. Food was delicious and Steaks cooked perfectly. The chicken wings started was 10/10 particularly! Will definitely be back!

Me & my wife went out for our anniversary (20 ) years of marriage. I ordered a stake with all the trimmings & my wife had a burger . Waited a long time for food to arrive & when it did my stake was cold by this time my wife had started to eat her food . The staff offered to mark mine up or even cook me another one . Which I refused. As we had gone out for food together & by the time they would have re cooked my food she would have finished hers . Very disappointed

We decided to have lunch here before heading off to a show. Restaurant was very busy and we had to wait for a table. Staff were pleasant though and gave us a buzzer to let us know when the table would be ready. We ordered some drinks at the bar and a few minutes later the buzzer went off, so didn't have to wait to long. We ordered the rump and ribeye, and these were cooked to our liking. Steaks tasted great. I decided to upgrade to the chunky chips and they were really nice, Chunky and crispy. Overall, a good meal.
