Me & my partner went today for lunch my first time as well. The calamari starter can I add is so delicious & the rest of the food was so nice. Also our server was really nice & very pleasant great customer service & will deffo return highly recommended & the lunch set menu & price is a bargain & worth it.

We were served by Raj a great guy very friendly, welcoming and helpful, i had a full rack of ribs which was excellent and tasty, her indoors had lamb rump which was cooked perfectly as she asked for it to be well done also very tasty, complements to the chef's. I recommend a visit.

Steak was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful. One of us has an allergy to peppers and lettuce and this was catered for and she was offered an alternative. Only area to improve is to serve the dinner at a hotter temperature. The main meal was warm when it was served but the sauce and vegetables were cold towards the end of the meal

We visited for valentine’s day. Both food and the service were brilliant. Izzy was our server she was attentive and friendly the whole evening she is an asset to the team! Will be coming again.

Her service was excellent, so polite and friendly, we had such a lovely valentines celebration :) I would definitely recommend, food was devine, and it’s nice and quiet during the week! Me and my daughter visited this restaurant last week for my daughters birthday meal, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We arrived at 13:00 when the restaurant was not particularly busy, yet the service did not meet the expectations for a venue of this caliber. Our waitress did not introduce herself or make us feel particularly welcome—her first words were simply, “any drinks?” Additionally, she did not inquire about any allergies, which we found quite surprising given the restaurant’s price point and the level of service one would expect. A warm and attentive approach would have made for a much better first impression. We ordered a Disaronno blush and coconut and raspberry punch, both of which were lovely. However, at around £10 per cocktail, it was disappointing that they were only garnished with mint rather than raspberries, as they typically are at other Miller & Carter locations. Given that we were celebrating my child’s 18th birthday, I wanted to order something special, and this small detail made the experience feel less thoughtful. Additionally, the waitress did not ask for ID, despite the fact that it was my child’s exact birthday and she does not look particularly older than 18. I understand that Miller & Carter operates a Challenge 21 policy, so this was concerning. The starters arrived promptly and were enjoyable, but the main course was underwhelming. We ordered two 12-ounce ribeye steaks, both cooked medium as recommended on the menu. Unfortunately, they appeared to have been left sitting too long before being served, arriving lukewarm. Additionally, both were overly salty, and one was overcooked to medium-well rather than medium. I understand that ribeye is a fattier cut, but approximately four ounces of my steak was pure fat, leaving me with significantly less edible meat than expected. At around £34 per steak, I’ve had far better quality for a lower price elsewhere. To add to the disappointment, we ordered garlic butter mushrooms, which never arrived—yet they still appeared on our bill, requiring us to request a correction. We also asked for water for the table, which was never brought to us. Furthermore, our server did not check back at any point to ensure our meals were satisfactory, missing an opportunity to address these issues. Although we chose not to escalate our concerns to the manager at the time, as we were using vouchers, I would have certainly raised them had I been paying full price. Unfortunately, both the service and food quality fell short of expectations, which was particularly disappointing given my previously exceptional experiences at other Miller & Carter locations. It’s a shame that this branch did not uphold the same standard, and for that reason, I would not choose to return.

The genuine work of our waiter Raj made my dining experience at Miller and Carter Mailbox truly outstanding today. Raj established a friendly and professional relationship with us as soon as we entered the restaurant. The waiter provided us with everything we required while respecting our privacy and did so with a friendly disposition. Raj demonstrated thorough menu knowledge so he provided us excellent suggestions that heightened our dining pleasure. The high level of attention he gave and authentic zeal for delivering superb service distinguished himself to us. Finding such a dedicated and personable waiter is unusual thus our visit was rendered memorable by Raj's service.

Very good dining experience. Lovely room setting? table and seating. We both enjoyed our dinner + mini sweet coffee; great cooking of meats, perfect veg accompaniments. We were warmly welcomed. I asked if they would mind bringing a birthday cake out at the end of the meal for my daughter and it was absolutely no problem they took it off me to put in a fridge til later. I was very impressed with the choice of non alcoholic drinks much more exciting options than coke and lemonade. The waitress was really friendly and helpful. The food was delicious probably the best steak I've ever had cooked to perfection. We were all too full to have a dessert but the waitress brought out the cake with lit candles. Fantastic experience. Hopefully will return.

Overall a good experience and excellent service from our server Izzy! Very knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly and would highly recommend again based on her service alone! Only niggles were seating in corner under spotlights taking away from the atmosphere, lettuce wedge having too much dressing making it overbearing and one of the onion loaves half the portion size compared to other! But like I said overall a good experience and would more than likely comeback again!

A fabulous meal with the family in a great location. Our first visit to Birmingham and we chose Miller and Carter because we knew it would be good. It did not disappoint. All meals were delicious, everyone had a great time, and our host, Sandra, looked after us superbly.

We were well looked after by Angelo the Portugese waiter, who was very polite and curtious, he is the double of Jose Sa the Wolves goalkeeper which we joked about. he also made our whole Miller and Carter experience more enjoyable. the food was excelent, my wife had chicken and i went for a medium cooked sirlion steak, both of which were perfectly cooked to our liking. Everytime we will visit Birmingham in the future we will also be trying to fit in a return visit to Miller and Carter. Many thanks to all the staff that made our visit a memorable one, especially ANGELO.

Having read the reviews we we’re optimistic and excited about our visit. Sadly we ordered medium rare, we were given rare the starters tasted like they were micro waved. The sauces and salad were disappointing this establishment charges a premium price for a very substandard meal. Sadly I will not be revisiting Aldi & Sainsbury's sell a better cut steak.

Google and your own website say you are open until 11pm on a Sunday. I planned my travel to Birmingham specifically to give me plenty of time to dine at M&C. Turned up at 8:50pm to be told your kitchen has now closed as you close early on a Sunday, and apparently google maps etc doesn't allow you to change the closing time, surely you can update your own website so no excuse really. Shoddy, very shoddy indeed, especially at your price point!.

Had lunch with 8 friends. It was a lovely relaxing afternoon. The food was excellent and everyone's meal came out together with no mix ups. Raj who served us was very professional and even remembered what people had ordered. We could not fault anything and will certainly not think twice about going again when visiting Birmingham - would definitely recommend.

Had late lunch with 2 old work friends. The food was 1st class, some of the best I've had at M&C ( and I've been to a few ). I would particularly like to single out our waiter Raj. He was an absolute joy. Happy, smiley, chatty ( without over imposing), informative on menu choices ( food and wine ). We celebrated our 1 year anniversary at Miller and Carter and had such an amazing experience. Sandra was amazing taking care of us. They offered us a plate with our dessert which said Happy Anniversary! Very tasty food. Definitely coming back!

Booked a table for my daughter's birthday and requested a booth seating area. On arrival we were told that they did not have a booth as the Manager had just given it to someone else. We were then taken to a very small table and seated. There was no rare treats menu on any of the tables and was not even offered this when it came to ordering. I enquired about this menu to be firstly told that they didn't think it was still on. The waitress returned with the rare treats menu. Felt like this was advertised online but not in restaurant. It was only whilst waiting for food that I had chance to look around the restaurant and realise that there was a number of free tables that were larger than ours that were then given to 2 people. Why on earth would you seat a family of 4 on such a small table then offer a large table to 2 adults. Really didn't make sense. The food came out and unfortunately the burger was lukewarm and fries piping hot, must have been sat there waiting for fries. This was my 4th visit to this restaurant and will definitely be my last. I was totally disappointed with this evenings experience.

This was my first time here. Raj recommended us excellently, I always have problems liking meat and the only he recommended was the perfect one!! He was keeping an eye on us to check all was good, we had a good laugh with him too. The location of the table was great, right at the window as we asked

The food we had was nice, but there were quite a few of items not available, including desserts that were on the festive menu and drinks we asked for which was disappointing on a Friday afternoon.

Booked the Christmas day meal. Not especially cheap - but when you consider what the big pub chains charge for Christmas day - it's well worth the extra imo. You get plenty of space - they put on enough staff and the food is good. Spectacular views over Birmingham as well.

Christmas day has been amazing here for us the food is extra scrummy yummy staff are realy friendly and nice and up for a bit of banter.

Alison was great and suggested a wine for our steak and not being a red wine drinker, I was happy with the choice. Alison was a joy to be served by and I'm so happy that such a beautiful woman was part of my Sunday. Thank you for your service and all your help!

The food and beverage offer, as always at M&C was second to none, the welcome from James, to begin, was rather defensive and unwelcoming which left a bad taste in the mouth. My original reservation was made via the app for 04, then increased on the M&C app using the “modify/amend booking” function. Despite showing James a screenshot of my attempt and confirmation message of increasing the party to 05guests, James became agitated and uninterested. I appreciate the restaurant was fully booked, however to say to a customer, that as an employee he doesn’t use the M&C app and only uses his computer was both offensive and dismissive. If I was James, my first action would be to at least attempt to accommodate the party, instead of simply stating he couldn’t seat us as he could only see us as a party of 04 on his computer! It later transpired that a table was becoming free and we simply had a 10mins wait whilst the previous guests were paying where our party of 05 were finally seated. After having our starters, James came back to us and asked if we wanted to move a booth for added space which was directly in front of us that was vacant the entire time, which we did. Whilst James did put the situation right in the end; my initial interaction with James was poor and dismissive and not normal service at M&C!

Angelo was absolutely amazing. Never in our face but always there when we needed something. He never made us feel we were rushed even though the restaurant was busy. Well done Angelo

So my daughter had booked here for my birthday and tickets to see Peter Kay at the arena 10 mins away from here,it was booked for 630 which gave us time to eat comfortably and then go to the arena,we went in and waited to be seen,young lad ask if we had booked ,which. We had,only to be told we could have to wait around 30 mins for our table ,because the people were still using it,there had been a mix up with there bill ,what that had to do with them still sitting there I don’t know ,we couldn’t hang around because of the show that’s why we booked the table the lad ,mckensize,wasn’t very helpful at all then walk off ,he then came back I ask him if I could speak to the manager he said he was busy sorting outa problem with another qroup of people ,basically they couldn’t have cared less ,I understand problems crop up ,but it’s how you deal with them in this case not very good and it wasn’t just us so I heard ,if we had just walked in and not booked I could understand we might have to wait ,they had my daughters number all they had to do is ring and tell us then we could have tried some where else ,in time ,ended up not having any food ,been to a few miler carters ,always been great ,but will not be returning to this one ,and the manager James doughty ,it’s not a very good look leaving your customers hanging around and not even bother to come over and at least acknowledge us ,

Poor unfriendly service. Walked in and two waitress just staring behind a wall laughing and making jokes about us. We were waiting to long with 5 to 8 people working there walking around doing little to nothing. One member of staff even kept bushed against us as they went by. Staff could not even asking us for drinks. First and last time. Would not recommend and needs a reviews of how they manage and treat customers seems like a lot of staff doing nothing to serve and deliver a good service.

Myself and my partner came in to enjoy the new Sunday roast sharer and wow! Portion size was great with beautifully cooked steak, chicken and lamb. Camembert mash was a highlight also. Topped off with amazing service
