Burger-Me-Up in Birmingham

Unbelievable service, working around cancelling Uber eats drivers right at the end of the working days. Food was absolutely brilliant, went for the baconator, loaded fries, chicken burger and onion rings, all delicious and miles above the standard of anything else around.

The food was so good. It honestly may have been the best burger I've ever had. The loaded fries and kinder bueno cheesecake were amazing as well.

Food used to be very good. Recent order was completely different. No longer hand made chicken patty's, just rubbish frozen strips instead of a proper burger.

Ordered from here on a whim but really happy we did! Got a meal for two which was reasonably priced, and the quality of food was top notch! The loaded smiley faces were gorgeous, and honestly the burger was one of the best I've had from anywhere. Will definitely be ordering again!

Me and my partner just had one of the best take aways that we have had! The food was at a great temperature and the taste did not disappoint. The smiley faces were 10/10 and the burgers were unreal. Recyclable packaging and drinks were ice cold. This was such a great choice and I urge anyone to try this amazing restaurant. The meal for 2 was good value for money and the story behind the start up is lovely so we were more than happy to support.

I really like the food here - great seasoning on the sides and the homemade chicken burger is really nice. However, the last 3 orders we’ve had have had missing items. It seems like either people aren’t packing them properly or they’re not giving the couriers the correct amount of bags. Either way, I hope they can sort it out

Came with some friends for bingo and we always get a BMU. Noticed there was a new guy and the food was amazing as always! Even came over and offered some different sauces as one of us was gluten free

I really wanted to love this place and it did look promising, situated in a good location and having a small menue. The staff were also lovely but unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the burger at all- the beef patty had a strange crumbly texture, sauce didn't really have much taste to it and pickles were sweet. All together it just tasted weird and I didn't even manage to finish it. I feel like it is overpriced for what you get.

This is my favourite ever take away I've ever had. We have ordered from here 11 times in the last year (not even embarrassed haha). The loaded fries are the best thing and the classic burger is my go to. My partner is vegetarian so usually goes for the halloumi burger (without honey) and he says it's delicious too. It's always a yes from us! Edit 13.10.23: we just had another order from here and the fries seem to have changed. Super oily and I really didn't enjoy them at all. Hope they get changed back!

Absolutely superb. Genuinely one of the best burgers in the Midlands, certainly the best I've had in Birmingham. We've wanted to try this for ages but we live the other side of town so unfortunately it's not local to us. We decided to jump on a bus and finally give it a try because we were in the City Centre today, and it was totally worth it. I had a fantastic burger with an amazing chipotle sauce and extra gherkins (a "Gherkin Lurkin") and some chicken strips (which were also superb), and my fiancee had Burger-Me-Up's take on a Big Mac and some loaded fries, which I can only assume were equally as delicious because she demolished the lot in about 3½ minutes! 🤣🤣 She also had a Nutella milkshake which she said was excellent. You can't go wrong with this place, seriously. I've enjoyed hundreds of burgers over the last 10-15 years, including from some of the trendy big names around the country like Almost Famous and Meat Liquor etc, and this is right up there with the best. Oh and the staff are great too, really nice dudes in there today that served us. A wonderful addition to the city's independent dining scene, and somewhere we'd visit far too often if it were round the corner from us.

Take away really good. Delivery came from far so expectation were really low but good surprise, still warm and tasty. I recommend these burger and I’m sure it’s even better over there.

Disappointed - overpriced for what it is, the burgers are ok but not worth the price for the size and quality, and also I got conned out of a 2-4-1 deal via deliveroo and lied to when phoned up. Never again.

Wow! Absolute WOW! The food was incredible! Absolutely delicious! I ordered yesterday and am ordering again today! It was too nice! Not only that… it was so lovely to see that there was a handwritten note on the bag saying “Thank you for your order :)” and it honestly warmed my heart. I also had a couple of surprise fruit salads in the bag with I really enjoyed! If you’re reading this wondering whether to order or not, put the order in and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed! Thank you ever so much!

Loaded smiley faces were incredible, burger was good, chicken strips poor. Tasted like standard supermarket bought chicken you put in the oven but were more grisly.

Brilliant local burger joint. Run by former UOB students. Delicious food and always fresh. For one of my orders they put extra chips in the bag - which really made my day. A true gem in Selly Oak; please keep up the hard work!

Honestly some of the best chips I've ever had. Very well seasoned, crunchy and still hot upon service. The chicken burger was a little sloppy, but that was to be expected by the amount of sauce and shredded lettuce. From the description it sounded like a very spicy burger (daredevil) but wasn't particularly so. I still wolfed it down over the course of about 7 minutes, so it can't be that bad. There was only one other guy in front of me, so I can't say much for the speed of service. But regardless it was rather quick and the people behind the counter were very friendly. Best takeout I've had in selly oak for sure, I shall be returning at some point in the future. Price was also not bad for the quality of the meal, 13.95 for a burger, chips and drink combination. Would certainly recommend.

3 felt harsh but 4 felt generous - Anyway. Chicken Burger was a little bland, patties could do with some more seasoning and arguably more lettuce than meat on the buns too. Loaded Smiley Faces are incredible though, and everything is cooked fresh to order. £1 extra for gherkins on the burger seems abit steep mind!.

The food me and my partner had was incredible! We went for the PBJ and gherkin lurkin’ and they did not disappoint. The staff are super friendly and provide a great service, we would highly recommend!

I came here with a buckt activity a couple days ago and was very pleasantly surprised. The best part of this restaurant was the people, all were friendly and helpful while there and really made sure that our visit was perfect. But the food was great too, had my chance at the PB&J burger (a lot better than it sounds!). Was all made to order, tasting fresh and well seasoned. I was particularly impressed by the focus on sustainability.

The food here is disgusting and the staff are rude if you speak out regarding this you will be met with a barrage of abuse on your social media platforms which is hilarious to read please take your money elsewhere and let these doughnuts go bust.

Food is great although whenever I order they ALWAYS forget my drink. I don’t think i’ve ordered there and gotten the drink. It’s just a waste at this point. I would recommend the food just wouldn’t get a drink if you’re ordering via deliveroo as I have never received it sadly. Other than that wouldn’t fault this place.

Don't buy from this burger restaurant got my burger tonight the green lettuce was rotten (brown and slimy) out of date potential food poisoning! and contamination of the burgers alex the owner didn't believe me over the phone so i sent him photos. wouldn't even give a full refund for the meal. Unless you want food poisoning order here..unbelievable

The team at Burger Me Up went above and beyond to put together and provide an absolutely brilliant spread for the University of Birmingham's Elite Sport Scholars last weekend. I was seriously impressed with not only the food (which was all totally delicious, devoured in a matter of minutes and gained nothing but extremely positive feedback from a room of hungry athletes!), but also their work ethic and customer service. A real pleasure to work with and a very smooth, positive experience. Lovely people making some of the best burgers in Birmingham...I can't wait to go back.

Place is dope and nice spot too for food, was given the honour to try a burger which is not on the menu yet chicken strip burger! Friee weren't too bad Burger overall was decent but just missing more fillings like tomato slices and cheese The strips were too slim and not proper tenders, if they were abit bigger strips with that right seasoning then this would of been a 5 star rating

Amazing burgers and lovely service. Best burgers we’ve tried in years to be honest. Homemade smash burgers, really juicy, fresh toppings and home made sauces. We had been ordering from here on Deliveroo until recently (sadly they no longer deliver to our house, not sure why it has changed) and it always arrived hot which is rare for Deliveroo. Great place, you won’t be disappointed!

I've been frequenting Burger-Me-up for the last few weeks and am currently in the process of trying every burger on the menu. Current favourite is the Daredevil, thought the PB and Jelly-Me-Up comes quite close. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always welcoming with a smile, and the burgers are genuinely top-notch. Would absolutely recommend to everyone.

They are the finest burger joint in the West Midlands..It is also rumoured they taught SpongeBob how to flip burgers, as their skills in making a delicious burger are unparalleled. Each recipe is original and made with no confines of the imagination, so you'll find combinations you've never dreamed of but your taste buds will salivate for.

Went here the other day. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced; especially as a student I was happy to pay for the standard of food I got (the devilchicken burger and loaded fries tasted amazing). On top of this, the staff were excellent in aiding our decisions and providing any extra help that was required for me and my friends. Music and atmosphere was fantastic too. Customer service alone is a good enough reason I'm returning, the great food is just a bonus.

The food from Burger me up is amazingly tasty but even better are the staff! We are 4 broken veterans stuck in the hospital and after 2 failed deliveroo deliveries the guys made us a fresh order and delivered it to us themselves!! Well, what can I say that hasn’t been said already! The best home delivery burgers I have tasted outside of America. We all made the right noises while eating the burgers “ooooooo” “mmmmmm” while nodding. The packaging was environmentally friendly and the handwritten message was brilliant.If you haven’t ordered from Burger Me Up you're missing out BIG TIME! And before I forget the delivery guy was a lovely young lad who was informative about the business and I wish them the best of luck.

Lovely Burgers from an imaginative menu served with seasoned fries and a smile! I had the chicken burger with a homemade succulent patty seasoned to perfection together with lettuce, gherkin and garlic mayo. Wishing Burger-Me-Up every success!!

Fantastic Burgers at a fair and reasonable price. I had the peanut butter and jelly which was lovely. My husband had the BBQ bacon and cheese which he enjoyed too. The service on a busy Friday night was friendly and welcoming, the wait time on the food was only 5-10 mins. They are very accommodating with any food intolerances. Our daughter doesn’t eat bread so she had her chicken patty as a salad. They seem to cater for all tastes, also offering a vegan and a vegetarian option. Well worth a visit if your in the area.

The gherkin lurkin and loaded fried were a 10/10. The perfect sized portion to fill you up which is rare to find. You can tell that the ingredients are fresh and everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Would highly recommend. Cannot wait to to visit again.
