Millcroft in South Lanarkshire

Just had my baby shower here in the smaller hall and it was just perfect! The price for all that was included in my package was amazing. The staff were so helpful and approachable. My guests were all so impressed with how the hall was presented and in general the atmosphere of the full place. Will 100% recommend for anyone to host a function here.

Had our sons 21st last night in the small hall. Can’t recommend enough. Great assistance with everything throughout . Lovely hall and the staff and DJ were amazing couldn’t do enough for all our guests . Connor and Alison who looked after us all night , thanks so much for your amazing customer service . Even taking our pics and videos . You were brilliant x

Had my 40th birthday party here in June. It was a Christmas theme and the venue and staff were so accommodating and understanding with extra decorations and music requests! DJ was fab too. Great night had by all. Highly recommend!

Can't rate food never ate but great Saturday night Karaoke

Been in a few times when in the area. Always been quick to get service and well priced drinks.

My daughter’s 21st birthday party was held at this venue last night. 17/08/2024. I have to say it was an amazing night. The venue itself in my opinion can not be beaten for price and value. The hall is perfect, great layout, big dance floor and also has a balcony for smokers. The manager Steven was extremely helpful from the first contact 4 months before the event all the way through to the end of the event. Always available to answer any questions. The Venue supplied the DJ and he was brilliant, he kept the party atmosphere going the entire night and the dance floor was always full with people enjoying his great choice of music. As for the bar staff, we were lucky enough to have 2 lovely ladies taking care of us. Alison & Sophie they were outstanding, so professional as well as going above and beyond to make sure everyone had the best night possible. I can not compliment these ladies enough. If you are planning a celebration in the near future please do yourself a favour speak to Steven and book the Millcroft for your party. You will not regret it. If you are lucky enough you will have Alison & Sophie taking care of you and your guests. I have gave the millcroft a rating of 5 stars on each section, however if I could I would give them a much higher rating. Thank you Steven, Alison & Sophie for making my Daughters 21st even more memorable. I look forward to the next celebration I attend at your fine establishment. 👍👍

Cant comment on the food as didny have any. Called in for a wee while since the karaoke was on, what a great night. Great banter, it was a busy night and the staff were spot on.

Great pub have drank in the millcroft for years very pleasant and friendly staff a very popular local situated in a great place good food and entertainment if I had to choose from all the staff all though they are all great my favourite would be Alison always cheerful and pleasant service with a smile great barmaid this pub is definitely worth a visit

This is my local pub I meet up with friends every week it's a friendly and inviting pub the staff are very pleasant especially Alison who is a very friendly and efficient barmaid she goes out of her way to accommodate and always with a smile she is popular with the customers and well liked I would definitely recommend this pub to everyone would definitely suggest you pop in if you're in the area

Went there last Saturday for a family gathering. I found the place easily enough with a big car park beside it. Sorry, I can not say much about the actual place as we were in one of their function rooms. Visitors need to know that the carpark is privately owned, and unless you follow their directions, you end up with a hefty parking fine. There are apparently devices in the Millcroft into which you must enter your vehicle number plate. I never saw any actual sinage outside, which was easily visible, nor was I made aware of any machine within the building. Not a lot Millcroft can do about the parking issue but they could make any internal sinage more noticeable. We were directed from the front door up the stairs by someone I took to be a member of staff as he knew about the event we were attending But never mentioned anything about the parking issues. Had he done so I would have left and moved my vehicle. A disappointing end to what should have been a great family event. Bottom line I do not expect to be back but that's not entirely Millcrofts fault. But if you intend going by car it's cheaper getting a council parking ticket for parking on double yellows rather than getting one from euro car parks.

Non smoking pub, ??? As an ex smoker sitting next to vapours, not non smoking, staff don't care, that's my only fault. Gave food a 1 star, not tried it.

They have a car park adjoined to the premises and they have introduced parking enforcement administered by eurocarparks. All good no issues and if you want your ticket validated just pop inside. One question, you park there before 11 and they issue a ticket how do I validate before 11am. I actually attended to try and book the place for a function. I stayed a while but they didn't open till 11. Low and behold a parking ticket comes in. If you want to enforce yoir parking riles before 11am I would suggest a lovely barrier, otherwise customer ls won't use your premises.

Good friendly working man's pub, great helpful staff ,clean toilets ,a warm welcoming,best and cheapest pint and best in Rutherglen, , fantastic place to have a party, wedding ect in the function rooms ,great place , highly recommend to anyone in the area, dogs welcome , owners too, came in for the football on Sunday ,great crowd ,cheers to Zoe , first class service from her and all the wonderful staff,now with a pool table so what are you waiting for

This pub is probably the best pub in rutherglen. Love the atmosphere...staff are amazing.❤❤❤❤❤❤and the fuction halls have had a revamp and look amazing.x will be having our 50th anniversary in there for sure ... 5 stars abasalutey.

Great wee pub, just popped in for one out of curiosity and srayed for more.

Have been visiting the millcroft a lot more recently as they have now got a pool table and live bands playing in the bar. Live sports is also played in both the bar and the lounge. Great for drinks and entertainment with karaoke on. Have had loads fun watching the regulars playing pool. Have also been to a lot of functions at the millcroft and the staff have been fantastic and really helpful, the new refurbished halls are really spacious and looks great!

I attended birthday party, The night was good for most people but for someone who is visually impaired there was a number of issues - 1. No lighting in the hall except for around the bar area 2.No light in the gents toilet, which I reported and still wasn't sorted 2 hours later 3. It's a Belhaven pub but didn't have Best in the function room so my carer had to go down to the bar for a pint, not ideal for me left sitting in the dark. 4. Another thing, as a former entertainer, was you couldn't make out a thing the DJ was saying plus the lighting display was poor with only 1 light as shown in the photo. As I said at the start most people had a good night but hopefully something will be done to improve the experience for someone like me and make it safer 👍

It's alright for a local boozer. 2 function suites upstairs, 1 small and 1 larger. Downstairs 1 fairly large lounge and 1 fairly large bar. Popular for karaoke 🎤 at the weekends and even more popular because there is a betting shop right next door. There doesn't seem to be any permanent staff behind the bar in the lounge but there is a bell to summon staff through from the bar. Prices are reasonable for the area considering there are plenty of other pubs in the vicinity...

Don't know how disabled people get to the function suite as I didn't see a lift.

Staff were lovely, couldn't have been more helpful and cheerful. They explained the layout, and how to order in line with the current Covid restrictions. It's a modern day 'old man' pub, it's clean with plenty of locals. On Champions League final night we sat the whole day and even with the change in staff they still couldn't be more helpful. At the end of the night, worse for wear, we ordered doubles and the barmaid sensibly told us a single was enough. Something that's rarely seen. It's also not a Witherspoon's pub!!

Nice no frills boozer, with a few big screens for sports (although the old timers get priority for Racing) only negatives are, at times it can a bit of time to get served, mainly due to bar staff having to work bar and lounge, but bar staff are top notch! Also, fairly recently karaoke was started on a Sunday, and sorry to say but it is BLOODY AWFUL. Keep karaoke to the lounge of Friday or Saturday please!

A great venue for my son's engagement party. Bar staff were excellent, bar prices were very reasonable & the in-house DJ was excellent.

Bar service was shocking in small function suite. Lack of choice of drinks. Toilets were sad and no lockable doors.
