Duncans Tearoom

21/05/2018: Best in Richmond, service is always excellent with a warm greeting from Karen and her staff. Extensive selection for breakfast including good vegetarian options. Great choice of teas and coffees; I love the white pomegranate tea. Savory and sweet dishes are all good value and...
15/04/2018: Folks - I like breakfasts and this place is amazing. Ignore the entrance up the stairs and straight into a display of fresh baked cakes (difficult to side step). Seated quickly with very good service, might appear (no, it is) ott at times. Ordered tea and a full english. There was no grease on the food - stunning. Bacon was lovely, sausage looked like a sausage, mushroom was beautiful and the potato was pleasant. The Black pudding was sensational - crisp and moist. The other breakfast was a healthy porridge and that looked great - just not for me. No complaints.Toilets very clean.

The Saddle Room Restaurant

31/05/2018: Afternoon a lovely walk around the Forbidden Corner on a beautiful sunny day we decided to have a late lunch at the Saddle Room which is part of the same estate and is set in (yes you`ve guessed it!) the old stables and is decorated along that theme . It is a lovely place and we decided to sit out in the courtyard and enjoy the sun along with a sandwich and a refreshing beverage or two. The sandwiches were made to order and were very good , local Wensleydale cheese and Yorkshire ham all washed down with a good pint of Krombacher all the way from Germany !. Very nice !. It was a very pleasant experience at a very reasonable price and we will return to try a full meal in due course.
