My daughter and I went in for lunch, I had fish and chips and my daughter had steak pie and chips. We were not disappointed, the fish was crispy and delicious, my daughter’s steak pie was meaty and tasty. Probably the best chippy we’ve had. Proprietor was very accommodating and friendly. 10/10

I asked what oil they fried in, they told me it’s meat. Then they told me that nothing is properly vegan, I’m wasting my time asking, and even when I went out I could hear him talking about me to my mates who I went in with. I’m perfectly fine with them frying in a different oil, but when you’re talking about me after I leave I feel I have to say something.

Freshly cooked to order, really lovely, tasty fish. The couple that own/run it are welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend this place.

During our journey through Haworth, we stumbled upon a charming eatery. Our love for Yorkshire fish cakes drew us in, but to our surprise, they only had southern fish cakes available. As we were about to leave disappointed, the owner approached us. “What would you like?” he asked. We explained our preference, and he kindly insisted we wait just 10 minutes. True to his word, he prepared a batch of fresh fish cakes that were absolutely worth the wait. His warm hospitality made the experience even more memorable.

The food was delicious, I got fish chips and curry sauce. Nice sized meal for a decent price. What made it even better were how kind & friendly the owner is. Such a nice helpful guy. Definitely check it out.

My boyfriend and I popped in to Mill Hey Fisheries for a bite to eat yesterday whilst we were visiting Haworth. Rav managed to put a smile on my face straight away with his sense of humour, and he provided great service when serving our food. We ate our delicious meal on a bench outside in the sunshine. I would highly recommended Mill Hey Fisheries to anyone wanting to get a bite to eat in Haworth: lovely food and the service is wonderful. Thanks Rav! :)

The food was fresh and really tasty. The chef was friendly and had time for a little chat, which made us feel really welcome. There are tables inside so we dined in. Would definitely recommend the place.

This is a quaint little fish and chip shop but man the fish and chips are superb cooked in beef dripping and the fish is so fresh, awesome flavour definitely worth a look. I'll be going back. I am back they truly serve an awesome fish and chips the flavour is fantastic and the batter is so light it is my favourite place to eat 👍 We took our son out for tea and decided to have a trip over here as always well worth the distance the fish as always sublime 👌 the owner really happy and friendly great place to go for a fish and chip tea 😁

I visited Mill Hey Fisheries while on vacation in the UK, and it was a top-notch experience. I walked in just before closing and could tell they were sort of “shutting it down”, but the owner kept the place open for us. He was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The food was amazing – best fish and chips I have had. Plus, they have all kinds of other tasty things like meat pies, sausages, pickled onions and all kinds of fried goodness (great sauces too). If you’re in Haworth, this place is a must. Thank you Mill Hey Fisheries for the memorable experience and a great meal!

Visited today for fish and chips, great service, but portion size meagre. £9.50 for F&C and I got around 20 chips and a smallish fish. I realise that costs have gone up but come on guys, a proper portion. A medium portion of chips at my local chippy does three people .

My son made a new best friend in Rav and won't stop harassing me to return. A real treat coming across such genuinely good people, especially when they happen to serve exceptional food.

Light and crispy battered fish. Not over cooked. Brilliant

After a long day driving around the Yorkshire Dales my sister and I turned up as the chip shop was closing. Rav and his lovely wife Bally made us very welcome, insisted that we eat in the cafe as it was raining outside, and produced a superb meal of fish, chips and mushy peas. I have had fish and chips from Scotland to the South Coast and these are definitely the best. Rav is such a perfectionist and expert on his wonderful batter and the art of frying with beef dripping that he should be a consultant to those fish and chip shops around the world who wish to achieve his quality of taste. My sister returns to her home in Florida shortly but will be back for another family wedding in 2023. Her itinerary will include a trip to the Mill Hey Fisheries!

Fish n Chips cooked to perfection....

Lunch time rush had finished owner was having a good clean up outside and brought our food and drinks out to us. We sat out with the dog. Friendly owner and spotless clean. Nice food and not a bad cuppa

Visited Haworth and decided on fish and chips for lunch cos as we came out of the railway station there was a delicious smell coming from just across the road. And an added bonus that we could eat in. Ok probably not the most up to date cafe section but very clean and the shop owner was very accommodating in sorting us a table when they were quite busy. The fish and chips didn’t disappoint. Beautiful light but crispy batter around a luscious piece of cod and we’ll cooked chips. All hot and fresh. I’d defy you to find better elsewhere. Highly recommended 👍

The best chips I have ever had. I got a chip muffin and the portion was big not expensive ether. The chips were freshly cooked would fully reccomend this place and I can say when I am next in the area I will be having my dinner there.

Probably the most aggressive staff I've come across in any establishment. We asked for ketchup, his response was a very loud "Huh?", and made one of my party unwilling to ask for anything else. Food was OK, but one star as the service wae beyond unfriendly, it was downright aggressive. This is the best chippy in bradford easily. The guy that owns it is a great guy. Its always a pleasure to have a catch up as we once lived in the area. Never had bad food. Never seen the place dirty. And never heard anyine complain. Theres some really terrible chippies in haworth and i think some of the reviews have confused them for this one

Living in Scarborough we have a wealth of fish n chip shops and consider ourselves to be proper aficionados so we were genuinely gob smacked by how awesome this place is. Real haddock cooked in dripping served with chunky bronzed chips. Probably the best fish n chips we’ve ever had!!! Shout out to the owner, you are definitely the King of Fish n Chips.

We had the best quality fish and chips here than anywhere else in Britain (and for 2 sisters in our 60s we’ve had a lot of fish and chips in our time!). We were on holiday in the area and the young man in charge went out of his way to make us welcome - even offering to get the food ready for when we arrived. The staff take a pride in making their food and the customer happy. No-skin haddock in marvellous crispy batter and lovely batter - eat in or takeaway. Highly recommended.

Staying locally on holiday and called here for takeaway fish and chips after reading previous reviews. My husband and I shared a large fish and chips. It was an extremely generous portion with a huge piece of fish which was really succulent and tasty. Chips were delicious with batter bits scattered over because my husband likes them. The service was so friendly and we were made to feel very special. Can really recommend this chippy. Amazing.

Finding myself in Haworth at tea-time (having spent the afternoon riding the local steam railway), I fancied a takeaway meal before an evening football spectating engagement nearby. Took a punt on this 'chippy', and was glad I did. As others have said, the chap running the place is very friendly and the food extremely tasty. I opted for homemade meat and potato pie (excellent), accompanied by chips (cooked perfectly) and a dollop of mushy peas (always a joy). To my astonishment, I was offered a complimentary dash of gravy, to "bring out the taste" of the pie. That little lot came to £4.45 - pretty reasonable. I elected to eat outside in the cool autumn air. Others took advantage of inside tables. Mill Hey Fisheries is a hundred yards (if that!) from the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway's Haworth station. Pictures of the line's heritage steam locomotives adorn the 'chippy' walls. Something interesting to look at whilst one's order is processed!

Called in on the way home picked up the fish and chips and drove up to penistone hill and ate them there whilst admiring the view.cracking fish and chips .
