The chorizo breakfast would have been good except the chorizo was burnt and the dressing from the chimichurri soaked into the toast making it soggy. On the plus side, the scrambled egg was very good and the breakfast brioche had good cheese and bacon but one didn't notice the sage.The coffee and tea were good, the latter in a proper pot.Social distancing was enforced properly.

Visited here whilst on a trip to Edinburgh. Very small inside but nice atmosphere. The breakfast menu is very small please dont go there thinking you will find 'fry up' style breakfasts. I had the breakfast brioche which was nice lots of bacon and crispy sage. Its served with a dressed salad... I asked when ordering is there any dressings/sauces abs was told no but the salad had a form of dressing on! The cakes looked good but we didn't sample.

Interesting venue with an ingenious brunch box breakfast - my partner and I ordered the vegan and vegetarian between us and were very impressed! Healthy food for a decent price, just perfect if you are visiting Edinburgh as a tourist.

El desayuno de los sueños. No puedo creer lo clase que fue el halloumi: ¡todo el desayuno en general fue increíble! ! Libby fue tan complaciente con todos, incluso con mi quisquillosa amiga. Todos estamos ansiosos por volver a Edi para conseguir más comida. No puedo recomendar la caja de verduras lo suficiente. X

Desayunamos aquí y no nos podemos quejar de la comida: compartimos una caja de brunch y una rebanada de pan de plátano vegano y ambos estaban deliciosos. Mi esposo, amante de la carne, dijo que el pan de plátano era el mejor que había probado en su vida, ¡a pesar de ser un poco escéptico al principio! La camarera era encantadora y amable y el café en sí era elegante y acogedor. Sin duda volveremos si volvemos a visitar Edimburgo.

Un pequeño y agradable café en Haymarket. Probé el Latte de cúrcuma y almendra junto con un trozo de pastel de zanahoria y no me decepcionó. El único inconveniente es que no hay muchos asientos, por lo que tuvimos que esperar un poco, de lo contrario, un café realmente agradable :)

We visited this place twice in our 5 days in Edinburgh. The food is delicious and there is something for everybody,either you like meat,eggs or if you're vegan. The coffee was also very good and it's a nice cozy place,definitely deserves a stop

Great find on our way to Haymarket station today. Breakfast sandwich and chorizo burrito were both delicious as was the pot of tea. Carry out cakes were delicious especially the sweet potato and ginger! Only wish I had time for a coffee, excuse to got back! Staff were really cheerful too!

quiet, cozy and light-filled place that was open on new year's day. the soup was just what needed to warm us up, the brownies were delicious and the coffee top notch.

Popped in for breakfast with my son having found the place on TripAdvisor. A simple interior with a simple menu and perfect for two vegetarians. I had poached eggs on toast and my son had the vegan breakfast. Both were very tasty and didn’t disappoint. This was all served by a friendly young lady. Highly recommended spot.

Very good food, a nice place for breakfast, very vegetarian and vegan friendly. It is very small, but if you get a spot it is worth it. They forgot my friends order, but handled it very nicely and gave her a complimentary croissant! Would recommend!

A great little cafe in Haymarket, a bit small around 8 tables so can get full at times around lunch but really nice, a little rustic and some lovely calm music in background. Breakfast, brunch choice is great plenty of choice and great coffee and tea. Will definitely use again next time in Edinburgh. Staff excellent.

Found this little place by pure accident. Fast service and polite staff. Sat down for breakfast and a coffee, in and out in 30 minutes and reasonably priced. Probably not for families but cozy and snug for you couples out there looking to start your morning the best way possible.

Nice cozy place almost in a good location. Price wise it is ok, also the food came fast and it was delicious :) Very nice avocado toast and we liked carrot cake as well! Worth to try:) Enjoy it !

Small but mighty! Fab, funky little treasure that serves the most delicious avocado on toast with poached eggs. Friendly staff and great service. Be prepared to squish in with others. Worth it!

Enjoyed coffee and breakfast this morning, before flying home. Welcoming little place with a nice atmosphere. It's small and it got busy, which was great to see for a small business. The sandwiches also looked really nice in the fridge as they were brought out.

One of my mates and I came for breakfast here after a two night stag do pre getting the train back to London. We decided to wake up early and break off from the pack and head home early on the Sunday. As all of you know the last day of a stag/hen do is not the day you want to be hanging around. We have all sat there in a run down hotel room dreading yet knowing someone soon will hand you yet again another pint! Any way on our way to the train station desperate for some substance and a bit of quality food after eating curry, burgers, maccy ds and what ever else for the weekend we stumble in here. We both had a fantastic high quality breakfast which dragged us out of our dark holes and set us up nicely for our long journey home. Thank you Milk for being our life line and I will be returning soon hopefully in less hung over circumstances!

Pedí un café y huevos revueltos con tostadas para llevar. Cargado 9. 65 que me pareció abrupto. Tomó un tiempo, pero no tenía prisa, así que no importó demasiado, el café se ve bien por dentro. Sin embargo, la comida estaba muy por debajo del precio y en comparación con otras opciones cercanas.

Staying at the hub Torphichen street and in need of a decent breakfast , discovered this place , much rather use independent , local business even if it means paying a premium . Freshly cooked , tasty breakfast , lovely , friendly surroundings and great coffee , definitely be back and recommend you try it

Restauraci mohu jen doporučit. Je malinká, tudíž má skvělou atmosféru a obsluha byla velmi příjemná. Jídlo bylo naprosto dokonalé a skvěle dochucené. Co mě překvapilo, džus chutnal jako opravdové pomeranče, což v čechách člověk nezažije.

This place was busy and it was a cosy and friendly atmosphere. The waitress was friendly and attentive. They are obviously all about being healthy and environmentally friendly but I do think the food was expensive for what we had. We had a full scottish breakfast each the following day with hot drinks for less - I suppose it depends what your priorities are. My boyfriend had the chorizo wrap which I wished id had as it was really tasty. I had the breakfast sandwich which started off delicious but once I'd pulled all the fat off the bacon there wasn't really much filling left. Probably wouldn't return.

My boyfriend and I live close by so we've been here many times for coffee and lunch! The lattes are delicious and the menu is unexpectedly varied with Thai and Greek flavours (to name a couple) coming into the mix. For a small cafe/restaurant this place really shines. The menu is bold, tasty and quite frankly exciting!

I tried the chorizo burrito with a flapjack and a latte; my friend tried the almond latte which was extraordinary. Really pleased with the food, however, not so with the service: she was not very engaging or friendly. The place was very crowded, too.

We were a party of nine, with luggage, on a Sunday morning and the cafe is tiny but they took us completely in their stride. Didn't expect to find the perfect brunch, but we did. Lovely!

Came here because of the reviews and my goodness it was good, I did not expect the food to be as good as it was, didn’t have coffee only food, we had the breakfast sandwich and the full breakfast. Highly recommend, would 100% go again! Very cute cafe!!

Tiny little place that offers both eat in and take out. I had eat-in breakfast one day and take out sandwich another. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked wonderful. Delicious, healthy food, locally sourced. Amazing coffee. Environmentally conscious, too - no plastics. Eat-in was all glass and metal, carry-out was paper & cellophane with minimal packaging.

One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. The coffee was fantastic. I had the scrambled eggs with a side of avocado and loved every bit of it. The eggs were creamy and the avocado was fantastically fresh! The others had poached eggs which were cooked to perfection!! Too bad I don’t live here to have more breakfasts like this!

Although small and a tiny bit crowded, the coffee was delicious and I also saw they offered brunch options which looked delicious.

I read some good reviews online about Milk for brunch and it is really close to our home and provides vegan options, so my husband and I just gave it a try. I had a full breakfast with scrambled eggs and my husband went for the vegan choice. The eggs are nicely cooked and I especially love the herb sausages! They are tasty! My husband likes his one as well but it is not enough for him. I also had Macchisto which is very tasty as well. I’ll recommend it but not for those who can eat a lot. You may find it is not enough for you.

What a great find, just around corner from our Premier Inn Hub Hotel, 5 mins walk from Haymarket Station. You might have to wait for a table but be patient, it is well worth it.

Visité con mi pareja para el desayuno después de leer muchas reseñas en línea y está cerca del hotel en el que nos alojábamos durante nuestro fin de semana. Cuando entramos no teníamos ninguna duda de que era una buena elección ya que el lugar estaba lleno y esperaba una mesa. Mi compañero fue por el burrito de chorizo y yo por el sándwich de desayuno. Pedí esto sin tomate y dijeron que podían acomodarnos. El camarero era encantador y nuestras bebidas calientes llegaron que eran geniales, seguidas de nuestra comida que también se veía genial. Desafortunadamente, 2 bocados en mi sándwich me di cuenta de que había tomate allí. Levanté esto con el servidor que se disculpó. El burrito de mi compañero era encantador, tuve algunos bocados mientras esperaba mi sándwich. Mi sándwich llegó un poco más tarde, a estas alturas mi compañero casi terminó con el suyo. El tocino estaba frío como la piedra y cuando abrí esto, era evidente que no se había hecho un nuevo sándwich, era el mismo tocino de mi sándwich anterior. Estuve realmente decepcionado por esto, considerando el tiempo que había esperado, por lo que pensé que habría sido mi sándwich fresco. Le dije al servicio y le dije que no se molestara ahora, ya que me parece que, dadas las 2 oportunidades, tenían que servir algo que valía la pena comer, obviamente no les molestaba y mi compañero también había terminado. El servidor indicó que podía ponerlo en el horno por mí, sin saber por qué no se hizo esto en primer lugar. El servicio fue excelente al principio, pero no regresaremos ni lo recomendaremos a nadie. Me mantendría clara.

The coffee was the best I've had in quite a while - we both had an Americano. Not oversized but well made with a lovely flavour.

No a menudo tomo el desayuno en los hoteles, ya que la experiencia me dice que encuentro mejor servicio a nivel local y creo que me fue bien encontrar leche. Esta es una pequeña cafetería, pero moderna, luminosa y muy limpia. Aunque el 'escocés' completo tenía un aspecto apetitoso, quería algo más liviano, así que elegí el sándwich de desayuno, ¡que era absolutamente delicioso y muy abundante! Junto con 2 tazas del café más delicioso que he probado en mucho tiempo, llegó a alrededor de diez. Gran valor y no quería comer nada más hasta la noche. Si estuviera en la zona de nuevo, no dudaría en volver a visitar.

Llegamos a tomar un desayuno tardío y no tuvimos problemas para conseguir una mesa, aunque puedo imaginar que puede ser un poco acogedor en las horas punta. Había un montón de opciones vegetarianas en el menú, pero tuve un desayuno tradicional y no me decepcionó, tanto la salchicha como el tocino son muy sabrosos. También fue encantador obtener una taza de té de hojas sueltas, con un colador incorporado, por lo que no hay hojas en el té, sino un sabor encantador. El personal era muy amable y el servicio era rápido.

We were on Edinburgh for a holiday and, luckily for us,one of the Milk cafes was just round the corner from our appartment.

Myself and my boyfriend found MILK on a whim but recognised the name from trip advisor!

I was in Edinburgh in November and in search of a traditional breakfast. Our hotel recommended trying Milk. Breakfast and latte were tasty.

Not much space inside but we got a seat and enjoyed our brunch. A little pricy but to be expected in central Edinburgh! Would definitely go back

Nice but very small cafe serving a good range of breakfast items. Service was a little slow initally biut once we ordered the food came in good time. Cooked brekkies with a healthy spin - plenty of spinach in sight and wholesome bread. Lovely coffee. A very happy place to be after a night train from London.

Nous nous sommes arrêtées ici pour manger le midi et nous n'avons pas été déçues. Le lieu est tout petit, il faut donc arriver au bon moment pour pouvoir avoir de la place. Sinon on peut également prendre à emporter. La soupe maison était tout simplement un délice et le souvlaki un des meilleurs que j'ai mangé ! Tout cela dans une ambiance cosy, on a adoré ! Mention spéciale pour les brownies qui sont tout simplement une tuerie ! Allez y les yeux fermés, tout est fait maison et c'est un régal !

This place is a gem! It was absolutely delicious! I took a soup (sweet potatoes, chili and ginger) with a sandwich (hummus, carrots and others vegetables), all ingredients were very fresh. I highly recommend this place!

Kleines süßes Café nahe dem Bahnhof, bzw. der tram station Haymarket. Bietet sich an wenn man wieder zum Flughafen muss. Es gibt auch viel vegane Alternativen.

Das Bircher Müsli war super Mega lecker. Ich hatte Brot mit Rührei und Spinat. Das Ei war gut gewürzt auf dem Spinat war leider gar nichts. Sehr netter Service. Der Tee wR gut und sehr viel :)

My wife and I were in Edinburgh for the fringe and were lucky enough to be staying nearby. We had breakfast at milk twice. The burritos, muesli and scrambled eggs on toast were superb.

We stumbled upon this sweet little spot. Action packed. Busy. Tight. Walk in and order sit down and finish your plate. What a treat. Loved every moment in here and the food was spectacular. Highly recommend!

I can't overstate how good their breakfast is, a perfect egg on fresh toast, some lovely mushrooms on a bed on lightly fried spinach, bacon and rosemary sausage, all with distinct and wonderful flavours. Perfect!

Stopped in here to avoid the rain. Busy and with good reason. Chorizo burrito for breakfast before a walk up Arthur’s Seat was just the ticket. Full breakfast was also good.

Un piccolo caffè molto accogliente! La ragazza che ci ha accolto davvero molto gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo preso un porridge da dividere (perché troppo curiose), un musli d’avena con semi, nocciole e pezzetti di albicocca al quale aggiungere una caraffina di latte di mandorle e uova strapazzate con spinaci e pane integrale. Tutto buonissimo e indubbiamente preparato con ingredienti di qualità non troppo lavorati.

We really enjoyed our breakfast at Milk. We both went for the full breakfast which had the usual bacon, sausage, mushrooms, eggs and toast. Everything was very tasty and fresh. Our coffees were really good too. It's a small spot but definitely worth a stop.

By chance on passing we popped in for a coffee. The staff rushed to give us a high chair and seat us, so friendly.

My partner had smashed avocado on toast with quinoa and poached egg, I had the noodles. Real depth of flavour, best noodles ever. Great food. Beware, this is a hipster cafe, you will see manbuns here...

Esta fue nuestra segunda visita en leche y ya estamos deseando que cuando viene la siguiente! Los sándwiches de desayuno son absolutamente increíbles, muy agradable y fresco. Sólo me gustaría que había menos ensalada de queso y más. :) pan de banana con mermelada de frambuesa es delicioso! El personal es amable y el ambiente es frío. Totalmente recomendado! !

What a gem of a place. Opted for the vegan breakfast with extra bacon and egg. Absolutely delicious washed down with a wonderful coffee. The service was fantastic from one of the most happiest and polite individual in Edinburgh. Would highly recommend.

What a unique little place. I found it to be on the pricey side, but my breakfast sandwich was a work of art. The girls who were dining inside ordered food that looked even prettier than mine. I also had a flat white, which I guzzled before my sandwich was ready.

Pedimos um Full Breakfast vegano e um normal, tomamos um chá e um capuccino e custou 20 libras, um preço normal/barato para Edimburgo. A comida era muito gostosa e feita na hora, vale a pena! Único "defeito" é que é um local pequeno!

We were in the mood for brunch and fell on this place walking to Haymarket station. We had the mushroom & egg burrito & the breakfast sandwich. Both were excellent! Washed down with a very good latte! The menu has a wide range on offer to cater to everyone including vegan & gluten free options!

Stopped for a quick takeaway coffee. Black Americano, instant regret once seeing how dirty the coffee machine was, no care into the taste of coffee. Shot poured into a dirty cup then into mine. Really affected the taste and I ditched half.

Una acogedora cafetería estrafalarios, con un personal muy amable y la mejor sopa minestrone hasta helados hechos jamás lleno de verduras y el sabor. También un bollo de queso muy sabroso para mi esposa. Las tartas y bollos todos esperamos deliciosa y el menú de desayuno tiene algunos nuevos toques, sabroso!

Un salto en mi hotel (porque a la vuelta de la esquina) quería £15 para el desayuno!

Breakfast stop off midweek: excellent coffee and efficient service. Be aware that the breakfast sandwich is VAST and comprises toasted thick artisan bread (ie, the bread is thick...not the artisan) with bacon, spinach, roast tomatoes and cheese. They don't do Eggs Benedict, but did offer poached eggs on toasted artisan bread with spinach. Unfortunately, the cutlery provided could barely get through the bread, the spinach was raw out of the packet and the eggs were a little under-cooked. The premises are also quite small and the tables would feel cramped if you have more than two seated at them. All in all it was *OK* but we are not going to rush back unless we happen to be passing. At least the music is not deafening.

I had breakfast here : the place looks a bit basic, but don't let that put you off. The vegan breakfast, the Bircher muesli and a cappuccino made a very filling and delicious breakfast. Fast service, but I came early ! Very friendly service. And all for a very reasonable price.
