I’ve been to the Milk Shed twice with a couple of work colleagues, once under the previous owners and more recently under the new management. All three of us ordered the avocado, halloumi and poached eggs on sourdough, which was nicely presented and perfectly cooked. I enjoyed a charcuterie board on a previous visit. Parking is a little tight in the car park, but there’s plenty on the road outside if needed.

Nothing remotely Swedish ! Difficult to park and a hellishly steep gravel slippery path to navigate into the cafe. Not a friendly greeting, Solomon staff who chatted behind the counter. Not clear how the ordering was made initially and staff unhelpful. despite staff had to make order at counter. Food was ok but nothing special- like any farming cafe. Ordered a cake for afters but waitress tried to ram the plates on the table without removing the savoury plates. Poor service Would not recommend

Nice enough food and coffee but visit was spoilt by dogs barking inside the cafe the whole time we were there. No one said anything even though staff were coming and going the whole time. So we finished our meals and left.

We visited with family for Mothers Day and were treated to a delicious afternoon tea which was great value! The selection of cakes were particularly good with brownies, Bakewell tart, macaroons etc. made to a very high standard Service was also good. I have eaten breakfast here several times also and that has been consistently good and really recommend this cafe!

Found this wonderful place after seeing a sign Milk Shed cafe and what a gem it is! Had a delicious cheese scone with chilli jam and breakfast waffle with bacon, which was thick and tasty with maple syrup, all washed down with an unusually sounding but delightful specialty tea. Surroundings calm and relaxing, even took home a piece of Swedish cake. Highly recommend and can’t wait for the next visit! Seems very family friendly, which was nice to see, although we went as a couple.

A great atmosphere very welcoming we have visited several times since the new owners Matt and Lucy took over this cafe. Varied menu with great quality produce. So pleased they are now open 7 days. If you want a great breakfast or just a cake and coffee, it's well worth seeking this cafe out.

Excellent food with a Scandinavian twist. It has been open a few years but recently changed hands. Much of the menu is the same as before with a few changes/adaptations. So far food equally as good as before although a few of the dishes now only have one poached egg rather than two - an option for extras on the menu would be good. The cakes are not quite as Scandinavian as before but what there is looks nice. Will try on a future visit. Service has always been excellent and remains so under the new owners. Another big plus is that this place is dog friendly so if you don’t like dogs this place may not be for you.

I think some more up-to-date photos would help. These pictures are from when The Angel was in the High St. They are now in the Civic Centre The breakfast is still as good as ever. The service and welcome are good and the food is still excellent Only one slight moan and that would be the price of a cup of coffee: £3.50 for a small cup is too expensive

Incredibly long time to get fish and chips on a Saturday evening. Nearly 30 mins, must have been 15 people standing around in the cold awaiting their orders. Took food home to eat and fish batter was soggy and greasy and chips very greasy too. Will find somewhere else.

Our family and friends have been going to the Curry Inn for decades, we love it for their amazing service and their secret weapon. . The chicken Sheraji! Give it a try.

The owner of this place does not have a clue about running a business which includes giving polite, courteous customer service because she has none of these skills! Off hand, flippant and down right rude are skills she is good at. The staff they employ are inexperienced, ignorant and lacking any customer skills also. Asked if they could serve a flat white coffee they responded, “never heard of it” and when we asked what beer they had the waitress said one in a bottle with a red label and one with a blue label. Unbelievable! Overpriced and the food is very mediocre, we cook better and tastier at home. Never go again and would never recommend. Tip for owner, go on a management course to help your inexperienced staff and while there learn some customer service skills.
