First time at Mildred's. Went to the Soho branch and was pleasantly surprised. The tasting menu is decent and prices are very reasonable. Though there is no logic in the choice of starter dishes, they are tasty. More.bread is recommended for the amount of dips offered. Make sure to try the creme brulee. Service is attentive and courteous. The staff don't take discretionary service charge for granted and work hard for it. Will be coming back many more times to try all the dishes on the menu. Unlike some other vegan places, this chain serves rather healthy food which is not swimming in oil and salt. My palette was very pleased. Thank you.

STUNNING! Exquisite food, wonderful service by Freya, gorgeous place with a chilled atmosphere and lots of plants. I was impressed with the allergy awareness and pleased there were a few Gluten Free options. I will 100% be returning. Only minor point is that it would be better to have GF written on the menus (rather than G (which is confusing) on the online only).

Been to Mildred’s SoHo three times with people who are vegetarians and have always been delighted by the food. Excellent service- our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Drinks came promptly. I knew my burger was going to be good because my son (who loves his chicken!) actually had this a while ago and said it was not bad at all. The cauliflower was interesting - wasabi not too overpowering . The sri Lankan curry was probably the only thing that was underwhelming but the person who ate it loved every aspect of it. All in all a definite winner for vegetarians especially from India who would otherwise eat in an Indian restaurant with the usual veggie suspects!

A lovely restaurant but our experience was marred by stale foccacia and inconsistent service, however the rest of the food was tasty. We tried to pass on some honest feed back but felt unheard. Really nice vegan tasting menu! BUT, the crem brulé was not good, and as soon as my friend finished theirs we were asked to leave so they could get the table back. After getting a 3 course meal I did not expect to be asked to leave with no prior warning of a table time limit literally as our mouths were still full. Not a great end to an otherwise good vegan restaurant experience. would appreciate a warning next time as we would not have got desert. Also it is very crowded and loud when the restaurant is full.

Last minute reservation for my birthday with my mum, both of us gluten-free vegans. Also delayed by an hour, and I was able to change my booking just in time too. Never tried Mildred's before but my favourite place in London is Mallow and I knew Mildred's owns that, so I trusted it was a solid choice and wouldn't let us down. Our table was looked after by Sohail who was very helpful, considerate and professional, without being over the top. Service was fast and faultless. My only minor criticism of this current menu is that although there are GF options, for the main plates you have to choose between a curry/spicy dish and a salad. Both were delicious but I'd have liked a non-spicy option. There were four out-of-this-world dessert options though. The non-GF dishes included a mushroom pie and Tan Tan ramen. I understand it's hard to source GF noodles, but I would've chosen earthier umami flavours if I could. But as always with Mildred's/Mallow, whatever you order will be cooked and seasoned to perfection, and will probably introduce you to a new favourite ingredient or dish for years to come. And they change the menu seasonally too, so it's always rewarding to keep moving with their innovations. For winter there has been a strong Sri Lankan influence adding a lot of warmth and comfort. I had the Makhani Tofu. It came with roasted cauliflower, okra, sweet onion salad, chana rice and mint chutney. I also had the patatas bravas with the hot sauce on the side which I really appreciated. I was forewarned by Sohail that the curry was spicy but ordered it anyway. It packed a punch, a good amount of heat for me. I loved how the tofu retained crispiness despite being soaked in the rich creamy sauce and the rice was so fragrant and comforting. Amazing. My mum had the artichoke caesar salad which she raved about! Said she'd never had a salad like it. Also some lemon pepper fries. This truly shows how much Mildred's/Mallow can elevate any dish into something memorable. For dessert I had the white chocolate tiramisu and Mum had the creme brulee with morello cherry. Tiramisu was my favourite dessert before I stopped eating wheat but because of the sponge and dairy I've never been able to have it. So having such a dreamy Tiramisu was a treat, much better than a birthday cake! Just wish I'd tried a cocktail too! Downstairs atmosphere was cosy: buzzing and relaxing at the same time. Loved every minute of it and I'm looking forward to their Spring and Summer menus. Like I said of Mallow, Mildred's illustrates a long-term in-depth knowledge of vegetarian/vegan cuisine that really sets them apart from any other restaurants in the UK I've experienced: whole foods flavours, textures and fusions. The secret of fantastic plant-based food is to be creative and put a twist on tradition, instead of just attempting to replicate meat-heavy dishes, so that vegans and meat-eaters can enjoy something new and zany instead of comparing it to old school food. Mildred's/Mallow continue to be pioneers in that respect, showing that plants have so much untapped flavour. Mildred's have been in business a long time, almost 40 years. The proof of why that is is literally in the pudding! They haven't just jumped on the plant-based bandwagon and it shows in their food, which makes it hard to want to go anywhere else. Thank you!

Dined at Mildreds for the first time today at the Soho branch. Was a booking for Mother's Day, but using the standard menu. Booked for my wife and out two pre-teen daughters. We arrived around 10 minutes before our 12.45 lunch-time booking and were seated a few minutes later. First thing to note is that the tables are very closely packed together so impossible to pass between if someone is coming the other way. The food was nice enough with a good selection of menu choices available. The problem is the overall experience was not great. Tight packed tables means you are right up against other diners and most disappointingly the meal feels rushed. The website states an hour and a half for a four person booking. As our starters and mains arrived at the same time, we were essentially done in around an hour. We paid using the QR code on the table. My wife then went to the top-floor restrooms and had to wait to use them. In the meantime I was asked by a member of the non-waiting staff if we could vacate the table - I did explain that per their own policy we had until at least 1.10-1.15pm to free it up, at which point I was told that they would have to check if it was ok for us to stay seated at the table. I again said that the table did not need vacating till 1.10-1.15pm, and this time I was told that they were extremely busy due to Mother's Day - hence the request and repeated that she would check if we were ok to staty at the table or not???? Well, who knew it was Mother's Day!! I'm only there with my wife and our two daughters. I would assume that if incoming diners had booked then there should be no such expectation for our table to be free ahead of time, and if they were walk-ins, well wait until the table is actually free before hassling diners. An incredibly rude end to a sub par experience on service as it was already. Seems like the ethos is pack the place from wall to wall with tables and seats and push people out the door as soon as possible.

Addition to original review. Changed from 3 star to 2 star. Mildred’s wrote a response asking me to get in touch which I did straight away. I received a standard set email response and no actual contact since to address or even discuss our experience. Sadly Mildred’s was always a 5 star restaurant for us, however over the last few years it’s going down hill. We’ve had a couple of very average meals here in the past but always tried again in the hope that it was a one off. I think our latest visit will be our last. The wine selection was poor, my wife’s dinner was serviced lukewarm at best and we had to send it back. So I’m sat there watching my dinner go cold whilst they re-cook my wife’s main, yet they still added the full service charge to the bill with no consideration. The focaccia bread starter was a joke, three thin slices that were toasted, not tasty and just looked odd as we were expecting a nice chunk of bread maybe with some nice oil. I’m writing this not to get anything, but in the hope that they will read this and bring back the Mildred’s we loved. .

Mildred's Soho has such a lovely, homely feel to it. Since it’s set in a converted house, it doesn’t feel like a typical restaurant—it almost feels like you’re having a meal in someone’s cosy home, which makes the experience really special. The food is incredible, packed with flavour and super fresh. Even if you’re not vegan or vegetarian, you’ll find something to love. The staff are super friendly and helpful, but because of the layout, it can be quite difficult to get their attention at times. That said, once you do, they’re great! MORE AT Google

Went with a friend for her birthday and unfortunately, we left feeling very disappointed. The restaurant feels small and cramped - sort of like a narrow corridor. And the tables are very close together so you don't get any privacy and the acoustics aren't great so you struggle to hear your own conversation. To be fair, I did enjoy the food but, we only had a main course and when we asked for the dessert menu, we were told that they wouldn't give it to us because by the time they brought the food out, we would have over run our allotted 90 minute slot. We said that we would eat it quickly, and the waitress went to see if that would be OK, but she came back and the answer was 'No'. I understand that times are tough in hospitality right now and it's hard to make a profit. Nonetheless, to refuse to serve willing customers before their allocated slot has expired, just to turn the table as quickly as possible is pretty unforgivable. Why would anyone want to go back after being treated like that? If you just want a quick bite to eat, then I guess this place would be OK although there are now many cheaper options that cater to that market But if you want a relaxing two or three course meal, particularly if it's a special occasion, I really can't recommend this place at all. UPDATE 10.3.2025 The manager commented below to get in touch to discuss the matter. But it's clear from my review, that the key issue is allowing customers enough time to eat, which didn't happen when we visited, even though we were still within our time slot. If we'd wanted a quick bite to eat we'd have gone to a fast food joint, but it was a birthday meal for a friend so weren't expecting to be rushed out after just over an hour. Hardly unreasonable. A good restaurant isn't just about decent food but making customers feel relaxed and welcome so they have an experience they wish to repeat.

Nothing to write home about. The restaurant is very small and verging om dingy/ dark. Most of the lights were flickering constantly. That's fine if you're going for a 'hole in the wall, off beaten track' vibe, but if you're markering for fine french dining in EC, maybe change a light bulb occasionally. The restrooms were pretty dirty and their decor unloved for that level of restaurant. Food wise, the bread served with the meal was wholesale cheap stuff that you would expect to see at a Premier Inn, and the butter tasted weirdly off- ie like it had begun to ferment from being left unrefrigerated for too long. Serving salted butter might be a better choice for such instance. But again, for high- level French dining, fresh whipped butter and warm fresh bread is usually a nice addition to the meal. The main meal was certainly pleasant, fresh and well balanced. Starter was trout ceviche followed by cod. It lacked any real depth of flavour and seasoning. I would expect to have just as pleasant a fish meal in any upscale seaside pub- ie tasty and fresh but not sophisticated (but probably at half the price paid here). There was no wine pairing or recommendations by the waiters. The wine was again fairly underwhelming and the selection was rather limited (which is fine if curated well, but this wasn't the case). Waiting staff were prompt, professional and friendly. The restaurant is so tiny that you find yourself bumping into them on entry and exit, however. In summation, if you have plenty of disposable income and not much time to book a reservation in advance, then this will probably just about fit the bill, but it would be better value for money to get on the Eurostar and hit the nearest bistro when you get to the other side!

Private club dedicated mainly to the Armed Forces located in central London. A sophisticated atmosphere, quality, courtesy, elegant furnishings with an antique flavor and friendly staff make this place a precious environment for members and their guests. There is also an internal courtyard where in summer you can stay outdoors eating and drinking with your guests or friends. The Club also has a wonderful library, with many volumes relating to military history. If you have the chance, stop by even just for a drink. Very easy access, as it is right in the center of London.

I recently stayed at Canopy while searching for long-term accommodation in London due to a work relocation from Shanghai. This hotel is incredibly pet-friendly, and I had a wonderful month there with my cat and dog. The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to DLR, Elizabeth Line, and Central Line. Nearby, you can find Tesco, Sainsbury's, Co-op, as well as numerous Chinese supermarkets and restaurants. What stood out the most was the friendliness of ALL STAFF. I would like to extend special thanks to the front desk team, the housekeeping staff, and the Guest Relationship Manager, Devika, for their assistance throughout my stay. They not only provided me with recommendations for suitable rental areas but also frequently checked on my pets. They prepared pet bowls, treats, and a cozy bed for them, and adjusted the housekeeping schedule to accommodate my pets.❤️ Without a doubt, my month here has set a positive tone for my life in London. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for those traveling with pets, as it truly is a pet-friendly haven.🐱🐶:)
