Lovely staff and a lovely food popped in whilst at work defo going again

This place is so bad. The food is expensive and not very nice. The place is awful in terms of atmosphere and service. Don't buy anything from this establishment.

Ordered fish and chips tonight and it was delicious 😋 Huge fish, piping hot and cooked just the way I like it. Lovely chips. Thankyou so much Milburn Chippy! I thoroughly enjoyed it

I've been using Milburn Chippy since 1996, when it first opened, it was always our first choice for pizza, not anymore, my pre match treat came, the chips look like this mornings refried leftovers, the wrong pizza and a driver who argued that the inflated price he charged was correct. I won't be going back.

Manky cold and burnt food, rude driver, never again

This place gone from best to worst chippy in the whole of Northumberland poor salad on kebab and they are amateurs avoid them

Just had the most disgusting cheese pattie and chips saturated in grease chips burnt pattie flat no filling and burnt had to throw it in the bin different people running it I have never had any problems with the past owners food always lovely please tell me they havnt been taken over by these lot doesn't deserve any stars

Kebab....really cold and wouldn't describe it as large at all. Hot shot pizza nowhere near as nice as they used to be. Next to no topping and spongy base. Chips looked 3 weeks old and tasted it. Garlic mayo really overpowering. Used to be my go to chippy but won't be going back.

2 hours to get our food when we got it totally different taste has it been taking over not the same been going for years never again

Must have been sold. Been going for years never had a problem. New owners won’t last long. Bought a large kebab with chips for £8 not much meat and a dozen chips would hate to see a small kebab end up having a bowl of cereal afterwards as was still hungry. Won’t be going back

Spot on!! Really nice bloke. big portion of chips, cupla of crispy battered sausages and some free mushy peas to make it a meal. Would defo recommend 👌

Bought 2 meat feast pizzas from here and the meat was definitely off. Phoned up and complained was offered another pizza but no Thank-you. If you can serve a paying customer off meat then I'd never accept a free replacement

Starting get expensive now like ...£8 for a kebab......

Been here a couple of times great food. But tonight 13/5/23 I was sitting at home and realised that I have been charged £5.20 for 1 jumbo sausage on our order. Could of been a genuine mistake. Just don't forget to check price.......

Not sure what the fish was ! Chips were big uneven door stops.

A very good chippy. I thought Ladhars in Newbiggin was the best in the area but Millburn was just as good if not a little better.

Friendly and chatty manager, unfortunately the cod was mainly batter and was greasy...previous time it was fab...may be just an off day?

Just had chips & husband a homemade cheese cake they were absolutely delicious will definitely be back highly recommend 😋

Rang order in and this was taken by a very polite gentleman, said it would be with us within half an hour. Itcwas, but not only on time, but delivered by a very polite, nicely dressed young man, not the usual calibre of delivery person. A very pleasant experience, will use again. Thank you

We ordered a family birthday takeaway from here tonight .The food was excellent lovely and hot cooked to perfection .Delivery also dead on time .They had missed a portion of chips out of meal .we didn't phone accidents happen .Then driver turned up with then .fantastic work Milburn chippy so honest and reliable .

ordered a kebab wrap but the woman gave me a cold soggy carton of chips so i told her this isnt what i wanted and then she spat on my face and called me a rude word also she has a moustache. not cool

Large kebab with chips and an extra pitta bread and garlic sauce ... mine the hubbies go to order, always massive, always lovely . Supper friendly staff , always bit of banter when ordering , Happy customer .

Fast service and big portions, what more can you ask for. Probably the only chip shop in this area that always has fish ready, so you don't have to wait outside for ten minutes in the cold while they prepare your fish and chips.

Love this place and pizza size taste and to price .. awsome staff that are very friendly. I highly recommend this place

Usually fresh and very nice, recently tried some when the shop had just opened for the evening, the chips and sausage were hard as if they they had been refried to heat them up.

Got fish n chips the worst I ever had ,cold uncooked, greasy , chips were hold no standard on a Mondsy kebab was cold hard inedible meat and slimey salad . If this is the best in Ashington has jesus !!!!!!

Not just your usual chip shop. Kebabs and pizzas also on the menu. Got to be one of the best deep pan pizzas I have had. Not to mention the fish and chips which are also excellent

i am surprised to see the negatives listed here. it is a well stocked clean, well staffed establishment. the owner is an absolute gentleman indeed all the staff are excellent.i have used it for just a bag of chips to friday night fish and chips, from beefburger to kebab, all very good portions and all beautiful.a mark of a good chippy, when you go past it no smell of grease.

Slightly more expensive than some local chippys but worth the extra few pence, the high standard is also consistent, which is more than can be said for to many chippys in Ashington.

Passed by on way home and called in for a packet of chips for lunch. The man serving was extremely polite and courteous. His chips were delicious and it was a generous portion that didn't cost much at all. If we were more local would definitely go again. It reminded me of my childhood eating chips future of the wrapper !

milburn chippy has a variety of different things to choose from. their food is really nice and tasty. i would recommend this to anyone.

Use this chippy regularly. Have always recieved generous portions matterless what i order. Pizzas and kebabs best in town in my opinion. Have always found the staff especially the owners very friendly. Would recommend

Fabulous take away chippy. Also sells a large range of pizzas, kebabs and other dishes. We'll cooked and extremely tasty. Nice staff and quick service. Will deliver if required. I use this Chippy quite a lot as the potions and cost are very good.

my son has just been to collect 2 portions of chips, ive opened them in bloody shock, the portion size is absolute disgusting for £1.40, i never used to use any other chip shop, but this is slowly declining, as its not the first time, just lost a good customer through absolute greed!!!!!!!!!!

Twice we have had terrible food from here. When we complained I was given poor explanation and a bag of chips, that went straight in the bin.We will not go back

The food is good the place itself is clean it the only chip shop in Ashington that actually sells bags of scramshins. Top chippy and the bloke that owns it is a nice bloke.

this is the 3rd time Iv been to this place, everytime it has been awful so after giving the place benefit of the doubt twice now I won't be back!!! Chips are always raw and the attitude of the staff stink!! Don't waste your money and go to Max's or Culloden instead

We have tried almost every fish shop in this area and this one has the best fish, the most generous serving of chips and friendly and efficient staff. I don't buy fish and chips anywhere else now.

Lovely food best garlic sauce friendly people opening and closing times are reasonable kebab is nice and so are pizzas they also sell alcohol to a certain time and obviously have to be over 18 and buy food
