Mike's Fish'n'Chips in Manchester

yet again another item missing, the cafe refuse to accept responsibility and blameblamed the driver, this seriously needs looking into

I take my friend to Christie's and always call in for a breakfast or a blt muffin lovely and a good price

I had a problem with the delivery, as the only number I had been sent was my order number. I was standing on the doorstep in the cold, as the driver insisted I gave him a number while the meal was getting cold. He could see the order on my iPad. This system has put me off using Just Eat again.

My favourite place in Manchester. Food great and staff even better. From the Scouser.

Absolutely terrible they ripped me off i ordered a fish and chips and beans and they thought i wasnt going to notice there was no fish in the fish they gave me just breading the scammy pigs do not go there.

The worst i ever had the chips were bland hardly any fish, and ive seen staff handle money then food without washing their hands, disgusting

Everything was completely bone dry and chewy. The fish must have been left out since yesterday. Chips were hard as rocks and leathery. Pudding was dried out all around it and even inside when it's supposed to be soft from the steam cooking. Terrible.

Contrary to request, all food hot and cold was pushed into one plastic bag. Chips, gravy, meat pie, crushed and tepid in bottom of plast bag. Cold ham sandwiches stuck on top. Lowest one heated by chips etc. Plastic bag tightly tied on top. Nasty

Staff absolutely lovely AND SO WAS food.

the food is cold and looks like it's been cooked ages ago and left, this has come as a shock as normally we have received excellent food from here

Literally begged for hot food in notes… VERY SMALL portion of chips and curry okay but never seen flat chips B4. Pies lukewarm but barm okay. Dogs enjoyed the pies.

Half undercooked, half overcooked. A shame.

Quick delivery, food only OK. Fish was small, flesh dry & batter stale so had been sitting for a while, half the batter had come off. Chips would have been good if they weren't so oily. Curry sauce was great. Probably go elsewhere next time.

Had previously reviewed as 'top chippy' well visited today for chips & they are dreadful- overcooked (reheated) greasy swimming in vinegar how this can be passed over the counter and money taken is ridiculous I put them back in vinegar soggy box to return but couldn't be bothered - need to diet so the bin says thanks

Great service. I ordered online and didn't realise you have to pay separetly for rice with the chips and chilli, so had asked in the notes. The legends still sent me what Id asked for and politely let me know to order separately. I really appreciate it. Thank you.

Fish n chips wasn't bad, batter was very thin and fish was a bit dry but the chips were good. Good portion size though. Mushy peas weren't very tasty, curry sauce could've been better.

Excellent food, all served in good ole fashioned chippy paper! Delicious.

Very greasy and soggy chips, large chips came with less chips than the chip barm?? Pudding was bang on, curry sauce was decent too.

The lady is so kind and hospitable she allowed us to eat in right before their closing time and the food was really good !

I watched the delivery guy cycle up and down my road whilst I was calling him and he marked the food as delivered when I don’t have it. I spent my last hit of money ordering this food and I am distraught.

Food was great as always but I didn't get can of coke I ordered and left egg and cups of tea (ordered 2x breakfast) in the order even though I asked for them to be removed. Delivery driver was polite and all food was hot.

Meals were missing! Phoned the restaurant for her to tell me nobody had ordered and I'm making it up! Apparently no1 had ordered at all today but yet here i am leaving a review for the order I didnt get?

Food from here is always hot, fresh and delicious it’s pretty much my favourite place now.

Recently discovered this gem of a place. Today tried the chippy side of things and the food was lush, hot and fresh. Can also recommend the full English breakfast as well was very impressed with it. Will definitely be back 😁

Absolutely shocking portions i bought a chip barm and was lucky if there was enough chips to even cover the barm. The worst portion sizes ive ever experienced and the service was very slow

Garbage old lady thinks she's special! Attitude problem ! Fish and chips ordered got home needed a hammer to crack Batter!! Went 4 months later ! Same person Ate in pie chips chips reheated many time!! Returned plate not even a Thanks! Avoid !!!!

To put it bluntly, Bloody Good Solid food. Varied menu at reasonable prices. Staff friendly and helpful. Done in or take away. Varied breakfast menu available all day. Came across Mike's purely by accident. Returned a few days later, late in day to sample a breakfast item. No complaints at all and will definitely be returning. Always appears busy and staff will go out to help. A little basic dining in, but not disappointed or dissatisfied at all.

Only 1 thing the curry sauce needs to be a little thicker

I'm a fanatic for real fish and chips, and Mikes fish and chips is the best example of the best fish and chips I've enjoyed in years! Piping hot, crispy and delicious, and served by a lovely lady, superb! You've got to try it.

Ordered jacket with Chilli, far too spicy. Couldn't taste anything but the hot chilli. Wasted meal as I couldn't eat. I love chilli that wasn't nice. Disappointed with mine but rest of the was ok.

Absolute joke this place, ordered food for my children, paid on card. They didn't deliver my food but put delivered on just eat. I found there number online rang them and they put the phone down after several rings, tried to ring back and phone would no longer connect.

Just had a lovely full English breakfast, it was delicious, there was just one thing missing, an extra sausage that was ordered, all the other extra's we're there just a missing sausage☹️. Not to worry I will order this again just won't add any extra's on. It was so tasty and the food was hot and delicious, even the cup of tea was boiling, although I do only live 5 mins away in a car. I will order food again Fish & chips I think next time🤔

Superb place...tons of choice and can sit in or takeaway. One of those chippy cafes that does loads of other stuff on the menu as well. Loads of posters on the wall advertising music and arts events.

Not nice…steak sandwich consists of what I can only describe as two dry flavourless slices of Donna meat on a barm…NOT a steak sandwich and salt and pepper chips is just chips with a bit of chinese 5spice sprinkled on top…vile will never order again need to take these off the menu it’s false advertising a waste of £20

The food was late and when it came the food had come out of the packaging and was all over the bag, delivery driver asked would we accept so obviously said no and we asked could we take a picture and he just drove off

I did not receive my order of a jacket potato with cheese and beans.

It's was great for a while until for some reason they started to serve white soaked oily chips and smaller portions. It happened to me 4 times. I can only assume it was on purpose. I would recommend you to go to the Atlantic Fish and chips bar instead. Chips are cheaper, staff are more professional, food is better!

Breakfast used to be freshly made when you ordered, so was served lovely and hot, now not so good, hash browns kept warm and beans nearly cold. I hate lukewarm food .

All day breakfast, absolutely swimming in beans and tomatoes. Everything tasted of them. Awful.

Ordered a large chips, gravy, chicken nuggets and a large Sausage. The gravy here is top notch, some of the best chip shop gravy.

I have had some of the best fish and chips from Mike's chippy for years. Always great quality and great value but tonight I was very disappointed. The chips were hard like they had been left in the fryer too long. Really dry and really hard. The standard is normally brilliant but I definitely feel like I have thrown £18 down the drain 😤

Good food, quick delivery and still hot. Only odd experience was that the delivery driver phoned me from his car to say he was outside the house. I had to ask him to come and bring it to the door.
