Seriously I think you can buy and eat better tins of dog food AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE . I honestly feel very sick and nauseous from this food all in the bin a waste of time and money and probably going to be sick from it‼️

Food was pretty terrible overall. Sausages small and over cooked. Really dried out. Worst fish batter I've ever had. Looked really yellow, soggy layer underneath. Tasted a bit eggy. Curry sauce had a really strange smell and taste, put me off my dinner. Chips very slightly undercooked but edible. Delivery was quick and food was hot but I wouldn't order from here again, grim.

We always go here and get different things every time my daughter always gets a the pizza and they're the best takeaway pizzas they always give her a Bix of cucumber too when she goes in because they know she loves it. Food is always so fresh and tasty.

I wrote a negative review but they must have deleted it as I can't see it online and I'll just briefly summarise what happened. Just as a background, I have ordered from Mike and Acies with no problem for the past 2/3 years but I'm now never going to order from them again. The food was extremely cold and undercooked so I called up to let them know this (as I had ordered a chicken kebab and don't want to get sick), but the person handling the call was very defensive and was trying to blame the delivery driver for the issue. After arguing for a bit she offered to send out a new kebab but I rejected it as there's a possibility they might do something to the food and I didn't want another cold kebab going in the bin. This appalling customer service has left a sour taste in my mouth and unfortunately you have lost a loyal customer.

Just had a delivery of soup sui Mai chicken and pizza . The soup was cold and the pizza too . Should of been here at 17:35, didnt come till after 6 . Very disappointed wont be ordering anything again 😔

All the order for the family of 5 was squashed on top of this pizza so rang up they said they would replace the pizza and send it out when they can so I said but all the other £39 order would go cold and I was told well we won’t replace all the order so I was expected for 3 of the family to eat and 2 to sit there and wait for the new pizza or the whole order would go cold so had to drive up for a full refund customer service skills are a shambles and will never use this chippy again

Glad they reverted to own delivery. Food excellent as always and delivered earlier than quoted. 👌

Tasty pizza & chicken kebab, happy with the food & service

Ordered £40 worth of food which had 20% off so more like £50, I did forget to add a pizza which we noticed when the food arrived, so I immediately ordered it my husband then says there is no garlic bread here, calls the chip shop,to basically be called a liar saying we have received the garlic bread, when we hadn’t absolutely disgusting behaviour by this chip shop and I will never order again from here.

Best pizza from any Chippy I have ever had

food use to be good but last calzone was 45 min late and almost cold, tryed again few weeks later and it arived on time but quality is not as good anymore the fish are thiner and smaller than they use to be too. Tahini had lumps in it of unmixed sauce. The fried rice dishes are still ok so far

Visited takeaway on route to family to pick up some food including salt and pepper chips, fish and chips plus curry & rice. Service was pleasant & good that you can pay by card. Food was freshly cooked and piping hot Large portions but have definitely had better. Fish was a bit dry & over cooked, curry sauce was very small portion in proportion to rice Not the best we've used but ok

Grey 'chicken wings' Cold previously microwaved pizza Diluted, watery chilli & garlic sauce Cold congealed chips with more black eyes than potatoes. Disgusting kebab with wilted, brown salad and dodgy 'meat' Diluted sweet and sour with no veg. Whole order in the bin. Complete waste of money! Never Again!

Dirt chippy. An absolute rip off, awful food for criminal prices. Chips were uniquely disgusting cold, weird texture and full of green bad potato with eyes. Sausages were sad old and cold and a rip off at that size. Curry sauce is the worst I’ve ever tasted. I honestly can’t describe just how terrible it is, like nothing I’ve ever experienced, made me feel sick just tasting it. £1.90 for a carton of something that barely resembles curry. Rip off merchants. Partner got salt and pepper chicken it was inedible. Not just because it was ridiculously spicy but the chicken it’s self was hard and disgusting. Lucky it was cooked now reading these reviews. Jumbo up the road looks decent chance it in there next time. Still feel sick writing this review about 2 hours after trying that curry sauce.

The Kebab’s a from this place are usually fab , you usually can not finish them , they are huge and very tasty , however tonight they had gone up in price and half the size with the chilli sauce and tahini sauce was watered down , such a shame , will not be returning!

Why are there low ratings? Im moving away and this is the main thing I'm gutted about! This place does the best kebabs ever! I always thought kebabs were for when you were off your face! ..but these kebabs...Oh no not these they are sober kebabs. And watching them make the naan bread is part of the magic. People laugh at me because I go on about how they make the bread and stick it to the inside a clay oven, ita so satisfying to watch. The salad is fresh and the meat is moist. I got a kebab elsewhere close by and it was like someone shaved a leather boot and put it on a patch if cardboard. Not here its a proper meal!! ..other food nice too 😂🤣😂

Tasty food and much improved since I visited years ago. Delivery is prompt and even when there was a problem with my last order ( a naughty food Delivery intermediary pinching my food instead of scanning it!) they called me and replaced it quickly.

Bought two twelve inch pizzas from here. They came undercooked worst pizza I have ever had. £24 wasted. Rang the shop to complain. They said they would get manager to ring back. They didn’t. Won’t be going here again.

This is the second time its happened. They're not bothered and wont go out their way to address their own mistakes. I'm another that wont be using this take away again. There are plenty of other decent local take aways. I advise anyone reading to try those instead.

I have tried every take aways vegetable fried rice near me and Mike and acies is definitely the best! At other takeaways you are lucky to get any other vegetable than cheap bean sprouts and onions. Mike and acies had pleanty of fresh peppers, mushrooms, spring onions, bean sprouts and normal onions. Lovely. New go to take out !

Just wondering if anyone as oreded a chicken kebab from Mike and acies as the chicken was cold and staff said it was cold because of the salad 🤷 yeah rest of my order was very hot 🤷 phoned up but got nowhere definitely won't be ordering again was like rest of the order was microwaved terrible service

Ordered food and missing 2 items. Owner was very rude and accused us of hiding the kebabs. Horrible service and quality of food. You guys should be ashamed of accusing customers that have been loyal despite your attitude !

The food was awful. Soggy sui mais , thick tasteless pizza , soup was dreadful . Donner meat and chips was just a full tray of hard chips with a few peices of donner meat on the top. Possibly the worst takeaway food ive ever had and a total waste of money

Food absolutely disgusting, served off sour gravey, told me they thought it was nice and it's my own fault o don't like it, chop suey roll was cold in middle and the rice tasted fishy, really appalled by this and how they have served the off gravey. Will never eat from their again.

Absolutely disgusting chineese meals....usually go to friendly house in hunts cross but they don't deliver so thought we would give this a try.....big mistake....the Chinese meals went in the bin....pizza for kids was ok and luckily they saved me some. Going down hill This used to offer great service and lovely food but yet again an item was missing from our delivery, this is the 5th or 6th time this has happened in the past 3 months. As you can see from the attached picture they’ve not even marked off the prawn crackers. I think it’s time to find a new takeaway☹️

I've been ordering from Mike & Acie's for a while and I have to say they finally make good chips. The food we've had today was really good and the garlic cheese bread is pretty amazing.

They missed a meal off my order,didn't realise till got home,phoned up to see if driver would be able to drop it off to be told if I didn't go back myself to collect the meal I basically wouldn't get it even though I'd paid for it and it was THEIR mistake,not exactly on my doorstep either.Went back to be met with disgraceful attitudes off the girls behind counter making faces at each other and not even apologetic for having made the mistake,bearing in mind my other food I received was going cold,told them I wouldn't be returning,in which one of the girls shouted 'good',then as I left girl came out of shop as if to mock me,sorry but used to like going to this chippy but they have certainly lost my custom,and they need to put their staff on a customer service skills course as well.

I ordered from here on thursday night waited hours for a delivery only to be told when i phoned up that they had not received my order then from no where he found the order saying it had been deliverd 2 hours before was told the delivery man had left it on the step i went outside but no meal had been left i phone back telling the manager that no food had been left he then became aggresive an said he would send the delivery man back here to show me where he had left the food the delivery man arrived an drove up my path beeping the car horn and was really aggresuve when he got out the car and you could hear the manager screaming at him down the phone he gad on loud speaker an started shouting that he had defo left the food on the step an that someone must had robbed it. my living room window looks right out onto my drive and at no time did the delivery man enter or leave any food on my property i then rang back again an was told by the manager that he didnt want to know and said i could report him to just eat if i wanted to because they wouldnt do anything anyway. Im a 78 year old pensioner who was really upset and intimidated by this experiance an lost £18.30 as the vile man refused to do a refund for the food we did not receive. Before you order anything from them just read the previous comments we cant all be wrong. Horrible place avoid at all cost.

Ordered a meal on 27/4/20 was given 75 mins delivery time it came after 45 mins no complaints there BUT there was about the meal the chicken in both the soup and the main was uneatable it was like a white eraser it was so hard the rolls were soft and squishy ribs were over cooked and the bbq sauce was thick and glupie chips were warm ups in fact the only decent thing were the prawn crackers next time I want a takeaway I’ll give them a swerve I gave them a 1* because there wasn’t a lower option

Ordered food mixed meat foo yung no veg with chips 3 sausages and chips and gravy . The foo yung had onions and bean sprouts in for starters bag it was in was caked in oil was vile foo yung container was half or over half full off oil no chips either . Phoned up spoke to a lively young lady who put me onto a man who said he’d get it out to me needed meal back to show chef I asked if my second meal could come with out the oil soup to which I was told am sorry I don’t believe you . Absolutely disgusting . Told him not to call me a liar the container was over Half full of oil . Lovely delivery girls second time chips were obviously the first lot that hadn’t come as were cold . After reading the reviews on just eat & the disgusting & unprofessional replies back from Mike & Acies staff i was dubious about placing an order but had promised my daughter we would get a takeaway & this was the only one open nearest to us. No problem with the delivery it arrived on time but disappointed with the food,no option on line to request salt & vinegar on chips but we can put our own on. Food was tasteless,too much sauce in bbq ribs & chicken in meals was tough & felt like it was frozen, will not be ordering from there again.

Ordered £50 worth of food for a family birthday during lockdown. We collected the food as was told would be over a hour for delivery. When we arrived, none of the staff were wearing masks or gloves and no social distancing. The food was on top of the counter, not under a heat lamp so was freezing cold. We got the food home and dished out all the dishes We tried the food and each and everyone of us couldn’t finish it as it was that disgusting. Some food was drenched in soy sauce, there was lack of veg in all meals, the salt and pepper chips tasted of plastic and the chicken fried rice literally consisted of hard chicken and rice, no veg. All the food was thrown away. We called up the shop to let them know how disappointed we were. A manager answered the call, wouldn’t give his name, argued and shouted at me throughout the call. He even said what I was saying was ‘bull****’, even though I couldn’t get a word in edge ways and then hung up the call after none stop shouting and arguing. He was the rudest manager I’ve ever encountered. We didn’t even get an apology. It’s just so sad that this was meant to be a nice birthday treat, we’ve wasted £50 and I’ve been screamed at by someone who is meant to run the place.

Placed an order on Just Eat. Told 50-65 minute wait. After 90 minutes we contacted Just Eat to locate our order. Told it would be another 30 minutes. An hour passed by...husband called the chippy, they insisted they had received no order. After a lengthy phone call conversation, they came to the realisation that they did have our order but had 'missed' it. Almost three hours later, our food arrived. We were refused a refund or even partial refund. Extremely poor service!

This place uses strips of cheap lamb breast cut into strips as barbecue and salt and pepper ribs, the meat they use in the chinese food is absolutely shocking aswell, kebabs are decent but do yourself a favour and swerve the chinese, its diabolical.

Ordered fish and chips and curry, rice and chips this morning on justeat for delivery at 6. Came at 6. 15, which is okay but fish was raw in the middle. Rang them to complain and the man who answered kept saying he couldn't understand what I was saying even though he repeated my words when I told him the fish was pink and raw. Wouldn't waste your money ordering from here, your paying to get food poisoning!

This is an appalling place, which puts profits over hygeine. If you want your family to become really ill with food poisoning from eating takeaway food - as mine did as a result of eating here - then order soon. If you are a sane person who cares about the health of your family then give it a wide berth.

Heard bad things about this place but i thought i would try myself. Placed an order and waited ages for it to be accepted. No response after 15 minutes so i cancelled it. If you are that busy then turn your online orders off, don't have customers standing there like fools not knowing if its coming or not...

I ordered from here last night online put order in at 4.20 for 6.30 delivery to ensure the time for my childrens birthday as we should have been going out with family and friends. Food turned up at 5 to 7. It was all luke warm or cold the kids pizzas very crispy and brown and cheesy chips rock hard.All the food i had to reheat as wasnt hot at all leaving it soggy. The chow mein was sopping in sauce even though i had asked for it dry and the salt and pepper chicken was also rock hard and chewy and chips brown Mine got binned and other halves aswell and was so disapointed.I understand places are staying open to still give people freedom to order for occassions etc but the standards should be kept high and not drop as a consequence of being busy dont order out much and this really disapointed.

Ordered a takeaway tonight for me my daughter and my brother and never again. Both me and my daughter have been ill since eating it. Avoid!

Kebabs are amazing and Chinese meal we ordered was much larger and tastier than we remember. Whatever’s changed is working - definitely recommend. We willl be back

Brilliant customer service! Never been let down always has been the best to us. Think some of the bad reviews aren’t genuine.

We have been a long term customer and found this food and service getting worse (in fact worse is an understatement ) in the past I’ve rang up to complain about chicken wings that tasted awful (off) to be told they would be taken off the menu for the night , to find a family member ordered chicken wings 2 hrs later and had the same problem as us !! We’ve tried to persevere , have never complained when we have had a bad meal but really tonight’s service and food from the word go was beyond belief ! Initial call was greeted with a member off staff who sounded fed up ! 90 mins later I rang to find out where our order was and if it was in its way to be told by ‘fed up worker’ it had just left the shop ! Food delivered approx 5 mins later (no explanation from driver why it was late ) food cold ( understatement) and not what we ordered ( kebab with just plain salad and no onions ) it had that awful mint lettuce on ! I rang to complain and was shot down by the manager stating my order wasn’t specific enough ! I tried to explain I did order plain salad , no onions or dressings , it was implied it was my fault the order was wrong Ffs how hard is it to understand plain salad and no onions or dressing! I asked for another correct order to be delivered he implied it was my fault the order was wrong ! When I said forget it we won’t order again his ‘lovely’ reply was “I don’t care , we don’t need your business” ! Lots of my friends have discredited Mike and Acies and I’ve always supported them and been loyal .. Never Again ! Everyone has a bad day or night ( that’s life) but I’ve never come across such unprofessionalism from start to finish .. ( the finish being far worse than the cold food with disgusting mint lettuce )

Order all the time lovely but won't be coming back again, ordered food new years eve and paid online at 17:43 still waiting at 20:30, called shop numerous time without answer so popped down to shop to find it had closed for the night without notice and had took our money, Shop phone was non stop ringing when I was outside so I don't think am the only one.

I have loved Mike & Acie since they opened. Such a vibe could only be found here. The food was always the very best.. I wish Mike & Acie the very best.. For always greeting us all not as customers but as a family member coming home. All the best. Steve.

Second time in a row the chips and gravy have been gritty like they’ve been dropped on the floor or fried in a shoe. The chips were old and very greasy. Last time we phoned up and got a replacement which was exactly the same so this time just binned it. Won’t be buying from here again. Their food was great a year ago.
