Midgehole Working Men's Club (aka The Blue Pig) in Calderdale

Best pint of Guinness I’ve had in England and it only cost £3.50 for the pleasure.

The pub is small and intimate, with a good selection of beer! Very cute interior. I love the carpet and the upholstery, and also all the blue pig decorations 💙 If only their opening time is a bit longer 👌🏻

A unique isolated place in the midst of a valley, run by a cooperative.

What a gem of a find, by the river. Dropped in to the pub whilst on a bike ride

No wifi. No card payments. £2 to enter. Stank as well. Good luck staying open.

Visited for a small beer festival, well organised. Thankfully weather played sensible, so the outdoor area spread customers around. A volunteer led club.

Traditional Working Men's Club (of course open to all now a days). Entry fee for non members £2.50. Good Beer, a lovely river side setting. Although they have slightly erratic opening times, well worth popping by if you are visiting Hardcastle Craggs.

Wonderful find and such beautiful surroundings! Large G&T, a pint of Timothy Taylors and 2 bags of crisps £9.10!!! All run by volunteers with a wealth of local knowledge 👌

From the red pig to the blue pig - beer was great and well priced with lovely outdoor seating area.

Traditional workingmans club up the hill from hebden bridge. The industry has gone but remains a popular watering hole for locals and regularsAs old school as they come! Narrow road in but enough parking. Close to a couple of walking routes. Cheap ale with a couple of cask ales on. They do charge £2 each if you’re not a member. Cash only. Dog friendly. Recommended for the experience alone 🍻

Refreshing after a long Craggs walk

This has to be one the best drinking holes on the planet. Location by the river is ideal. Internal decor and ambiance is quirky. Drinks are very affordable compared to almost any other pub/bar you will have ever visited. I've been visiting twice a year for at least 15 years and it is consistently good.

Been here a few times when been walking round hardcastle crag. Nice little boozer but wouldn’t bother going at the moment with COVID 19 happening as they aren’t serving non members.

Old fashioned pub with good prices and friendly feel in beautiful surroundings. Basic but the plus points more than make up for that.
