Middletons Steakhouse & Grill Cambridge in Cambridge

Bottomless brunch was 5/5. The hotdog was very good. Cocktails were spot on! Particularly the Pina Colada. Service was very good. Javier obviously makes the place very friendly, enjoyable and welcoming. Judging by all the reviews, everyone agrees. Very good waiter at such a young age. Well done 👏 We would recommend Middletons for BB. The food is good, service is great, the drinks are decent. We even left with a bottle of wine (through referring a friend on the app)! Our first trip to Cambridge was fantastic. Thanks guys.

We dined here at lunchtime before seeing a matinee show at the nearby Corn Exchange. We opted for the fixed price lunch menu which was good value. £12 each for 2 courses. We opted for fish and chips for main (I swapped the chips for wedges). Generous portions and excellent food. We then each had brownie for dessert which I found a little underwhelming but dessert selection on the set menu was very limited. The overall bill came to around £33 as each had a soft drink and a 10% “optional” service charge is automatically added onto the bill.

Although the restaurant ran out of prosecco and we at first felt it wasnt the greatest experience, our waiter Javier dealt with it so great that it really turned our experience around. I cannot speak more highly of Javier, as he is the reason we had a great time. There were 13 of us and he was a great waiter, so thank you to him and the team for the great meal!

The staff were very nice but not very competent. They got orders wrong, left us sat with empty plates for 20min and switched off the coffee machine at 9pm. Their menu recommends downloading the app and checking in for a £10 discount but despite confirming I’d done so, they forgot the discount. The food was pleasant although the scampi was over cooked. On the whole just let down by the service.

This was our first time at Middletons but we will definitely go again. Javier and the team were so friendly. What delicious food. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The sides were amazing too. We were being good so didn’t go for dessert, but the chilli chicken wings were tasty.

This was our first visit to Middletons and we loved the steaks. We had 'Steak Frites; which was a 5oz Sirloin steak with fries, tomato and mushroom. It was a very nice quality steak and it was all nicely cooked. The peppercorn sauce was just perfect too. The dessert was a disappointment. I hardly eat any gluten so ordered the Lemon and White Chocolate Roulade which said it was Sicilian lemon, fresh cream, white chocolate, meringue. In fact it was a sponge roulade with no meringue at all. Meringue is eggs and sugar. Sponge is flour based so quite different. I did point this out so wasn't charged for it but it was still frustrating and it's still on their menu two months later. Hopefully they will cook it differently or change the menu details.

Pre booked (as a large group) for a friend's birthday. Took 2 hours to get mains, when they came many of the sides were cold. Not the service, attitude, or food experience you'd expect from a Beefeater, let alone this restaurant's reputation.

Food was average, strict no ordering more drinks until you finish your current ones which when you are in a big group and all drink at different rates this becomes a problem. Juvier though was very professional and polite even though we were not the easiest of tables to deal with. Thank you Juvier.

Asked Javier to make a customised cocktail (due to taste and allergen differences) and stumbled on the best cocktail/long island ice tea I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back and have it again, thanks Javier, really hope you win staff of the month! :)

Bad experience first the waiter brought me the wrong wine. He took about 5 minutes to bring me the right one. Which was no big deal. Then they brought the appetizer fried calamari it was ok. It took a long time for them to bring our dinner. I order my steak well done, well it was like a rock. I had a hard time cutting with the knife. No flavor at all. The same thing with the salad it tasted weird. Nothing was good.. i was very disappointed because i was hungry. Our waiter barely came to our table. He spent the majority of the time in another tablet. Just bad!

Had bottomless brunch for a large group. Really was excellent service - Javier was very welcoming and accomodating. Vegetarian options could have done with a little bit of work but since its steakhouse no points knocked off. The drinks were great and some of the best options Ive had at a bottomless brunch. Would definitely come back for the drinks and great service.

The service was very slow, took 20 mins to get first drinks, then food arrived was very poor, expected to be lovely and well presented but was just slapped on the plate with some fancy lettuce. My steak wasn’t cooked to my liking and was cold in the middle. Over priced for what it is.

We had a most delicious and enjoyable lunch at Middletons. JAVIER made our experience wonderful with his splendid service and pleasant attitude. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an enjoyable meal in Cambridge!
