This place is in a beautiful location. After a hard day cycling, we we had run out of water and food. Although the tea-room was closed we asked if our water bottles could be topped up. The lady who owns the place was busy but she could not have been more kind and helpful. She brought us delicious home-made chocolate cake and filter coffee and stayed for a chat. Absolutely amazing customer service and saved us that day! Thank you!

We found the cafe/tearooms when searching for somewhere to meet friends and in-between us and them. What a find (and our friends agreed). Lovely welcome and whilst not completely necessary, glad we’d phoned ahead to reserve a table. We sat inside, though there were several outside tables & chairs. Not sure whether an outside seat when not sunny would be warm enough, though there were ample sheepskin rugs available to provide warmth if required. Whilst meeting for lunch, two of us took the opportunity of ordering the all-day breakfast, which was substantial, high quality and very reasonably priced. The warmth of the welcome extended to the rest of our visit, and our lunch was relaxed and enjoyable, with plenty of time to catch up with our friends. The drive there for both us and our friends was through the stunning Lancashire & Yorkshire countryside, indeed Horton-in Ribblesdale seems to be a walkers’ paradise, so I guess plenty of people call in when ambling past. A nice selection on the menu. With the two all-day breakfasts, and two soup & sandwich combinations, teas and coffees, the bill was less than £50, which considering the quality & amount, was great value. We’ll be returning, and I guess our friends will want to join us!

What a lovely find. Stopped in on our way to Askrigg, where we were staying for a few days. A pleasant day meant we could sit outside and the view from the beautiful garden is just gorgeous, blankets are also available if you feel the chill! We both had the homemade cauliflower cheese soup with hot drinks, which was so tasty and filling. We’d planned to have cake as well, as the selection on offer looked amazing, but were simply too full! Will definitely have to visit again so we can try some. Friendly service too, couldn’t really ask for more.

Called in at 3.50 on Coronation Day, 10 minutes before closing, after walking Whernside. We were made very welcome. Excellent tea and cakes. Leaf tea was delicious as was the coffee and walnut cake. The bakewell tart is exceptional! We will certainly be calling again.

We popped in after a Sunday morning ascent of Pen-y-Ghent; it's only a couple of miles down the road from Horton so extremely well located, especially as the familiar cafe is permanently closed. Although fully booked inside, we were offered seating outside, with the wonderful views as a bonus, and sheepskins and blankets to ward off the chill. The menu is all a walker could want: all day breakfasts; baps; a wide selection of toasties and sandwiches; specials of the day; delicious buns and cakes; and as well as teas and coffees, a wide selection of other drinks, alcoholic and non. Service was fantastic, very friendly and efficient. We ordered all day breakfasts for the three of us and tea. The food arrived quickly, was delicious and great value working out at £11.00 per head. Strongly recommended, and after a morning out on the hill, great to support a part of the local economy.

We were staying at Middle Studfold Farm so called in for coffee and cake before we got our room. We have visited many times before and the tea room never disappoints. Had a couple of cappuccinos and Jan’s homemade Christmas cake with icing - it was the best we’d ever had. Run by Jan and Edd who are the most wonderful and friendly hosts. Perfect as always

Our second visit to this lovely tea room just outside of Horton-in-Ribblesdale. We called in yesterday whilst in the dales for coffee (cappuccino - both strong and hot) and some of Edd’s homemade chocolate cake (delicious). We also took some homemade scones home too. Really good value for money. Ideally located with loads of free parking. And run by the two most wonderful hosts -Jan and Edd. Outstanding as always
