Micky's Fish Bar in City of London, Westminster

I was there today with my wife and after I had eaten got a coffee I saw the little fat chubby guy cough and sneeze over the food he was taking to someone, the place is not very clean to be honest and the toilets stink badly they truly have no hygiene in this place at all, the chips were cooked in the cheapest oil it tasted vile the batter on the fish tasted the same the guys hands that were cooking the food the little chubby guy his hands were very dirty and I saw him pick is nose I was shocked this guy as no hygiene at all it’s made me feel sick That I went there I had my back to them and my wife kept telling me to look around and I did, there seemed to what looked like mouse dropping next to our table next to the wall my wife said what’s this and he said don’t worry we will not charge you extra for that this guy should not be working in there are all the other two boys and lady are well mannered but I will not be going back to that place ever again there is nothing to dry your hands on after washing them in the toilet and it really smelled bad this place is not for me with mouse droppings and dirty table and very unhygienic cook if I could give a zero score I truly would it was that bad meaning very bad

Perfect food, friendly staff, lovely tea and baklava! And all was prepared and served very quickly! What else could we ask for?

Not the same as my review in December 2017! Tried ordering over the phone , the most rude ,ill mannered person iv ever spoken to when taking a customer’s order , went in and confronted him! What could he say ? Just a vile individual, the food was mediocre at best ! … I hope they sack this person as he does the restaurant no favours .

After visiting over a 150 countries,I think I know a little bit about food and restaurants,I have been to Mickey’s 6 times now and six times the food has beaten me,I can not finish the food every time,the staff are alway polite,undeliverable value for money,every time I visit london it’s Mickey’s for me

Lovely service, the lady that serves you can’t be any more helpful. Food was lovely. Way to much on our plates we could of shared. But great value for money. It cost us £34 got 3 meals a day 6 drinks. Oh and a Turkish tea. Money well spent.

I have been going there for years and was always pleased with the food and service. Today I went and within five minutes of ordering the food arrived and the reason for that was that it was already cooked and lying there. The fish and batter were hard, dry and lukewarm. Will never go back and maybe the owner should take note of the many poor reviews and actually improve things.

I went in there Friday night to pick up dinner and I could not beleive how bad the service, I had to repeat my order serveral times to the man on the counter . All they did was keep fulfilling the home delivery orders and the poor suckers like me who had made the effort to come to the shop were lost on their mind. I live local and have been using this place for years but if the home delivery side is more important for them then maybe they should shut their shop. Come on Mickey's I know you can do so much better.

I have used this chippy for over 20 years. It used to be quite good but has gone down hill recently. On a visit a few weeks ago I got fish that was actually burnt black on one side. I know that the person who served it was aware of it because he took great care wrapping it with the burnt side down. Nonetheless, I went back again tonight and got two burgers. Not only were they pretty disgusting, but the person serving, the same man who gave me the burnt fish, stopped wrapping them half way through to take payment from another customer, even though there were two other people behind the counter doing nothing. When I mentioned the burnt fish on my last visit, I got a shrug of the shoulders! If a long term customer like me gets such a disrespectful service, imagine how little they care about the occasional visitor.

Ordered 3 large fish n chips, unknown to me they put 2 of the battered fish on their grill, when I got home each fish was chargrill burned, and disgusting so I won’t be ordering from here again, awful service too!

Micky,s is awsome :-) Mickys is great :-) The best selection of perfectly cook meat you could get on a plate. These guys know what there doing Great price and loads of free tea and bread , it just keeps coming Yummy

Local fish and chip shop. Staff always have a smile on their face. Chose a lamb doner which as usual was delicious. Can’t wait to come back here.

Close to the Hilton Metropole so came by for dinner. Daughter did not like the look of the restaurant. Walk around the area to see if any other restaurants more appealing to her but nothing she like so went back to Micky’s. Ordered the Islander, chicken shish, lamb shish & hummus. Daughter was surprise the quality and quantity of the food so everything turns out fine for dinner.

Had a great dinner! Got the Micky’s special- a variety of kebabs & doner. The entire dinner was delicious including the bread & hummus. Also has fish & chips-also very delicious. Restaurant was clean & entire staff was very helpful & friendly. Would definitely recommend this place!

Went with my brother. His ‘food’ was atrocious and we were both ridiculed when complaining about the service and ‘standard’. The manager was so dismissive that I felt compelled to signpost this. Other fish and chip shops on Kensal Rise are better in terms of food, service and value for money!

Great food, lovely helpful staff and great value to boot. Would Definitely recommended and suggest sitting in rather than take away.

If you are hungry Micky will cure your hunger, too much for the wife so I had to help her finish but that was not possible. Good food , Good value.

We had Donner meal, meat was reheated, the chips were terrible , it's small place which is nothing wrong with that, the waitress is friendly and helpful, but the food needs a revolution not just improvement. Not Recommended

Compre el Mickys Grill especial que viene con alas, busque kebabs, chuletas de cordero, kebabs de pollo, cordero y pollo con arroz y papitas fritas en una gran bandeja de acero acompañada de ensalada, salsas, hummus y pan turco, suficiente para llenar 2 - 3 Gente, todo por 35, así que no está mal.En general, la comida era buena, pero lo único que me faltaba es un poco de sal, si el chef pudiera ir un poco con la sal, sería 5 de 5 para la comida.El servicio también era bueno, el personal cordial siempre a su disposición para conseguir pañuelos, más bebidas, etc.Pequeño lugar básico en la calle Edgware pero con comida decente.

Egy jó dönerre vágytam és megkaptam. Más kérdés persze, hogy soha nem adnék ki 10 fontot egy dönerért, de a cég fizette, úgyhogy mindegy.

We have ordered from here twice, food well cooked and good size portions. The grilled dishes are a bit overpriced (£16 for 4 lamb chops with some rice).

Great food, service and cleanliness. I highly recommend the mix grill! The service here was fantastic!! Would return too. mmmmm Touche.

Para mi gusto, después de probar en otros sitios muy pu estos y elegantes. ....es uno de los mejores fish and chipsen Londres. ..el sitio es muy normal, sin lujos, lleno de gente del barrio. Mesa normal, multietnico...pido un fish and chips pequeño . ...no me cabía en el plato, pensé se han equivocado y me han traído el grande. ..no, el grande de la mesa de al lado se salía del plato. ...las patatas caseras.... la atención muy buena... mi sobrina pidió un plato kebab y casi se desmaya al ver el tamaño. ...porque venden fish and chips y kebab. El pescado, fresquisimo y el rebozado excelente, crujiente, nadaptación, aceitoso. ... no me extraña que tengan un 5 en la calificación en la puerta. Es el máximo que te da sanidad cuando hacen inspecciones en tu local, tanto de comida como de higiene. ....recomendable 100 %...y encima es barato 7 €...con un plato grande comen dos...

Otra gran propuesta de tripadvisor: justo alrededor de la estación de metro Edgware Road, abierto hasta tarde, hasta las 11, con una buena selección de kebabs turcos y algunos platos británicos. Muy generosas porciones, con salsas - ideal para personas con alergias como yo - por un precio muy bueno. Gran café y té, así como con los pistachos baklava poco en la cima. Perfecto para una noche lluviosa o, con un público heterogéneo, que dice mucho sobre el lugar. Hablé con el dueño y han estado en negocios durante 18 años, su esposa es responsable de hacer el pan tradicional turco. El servicio también es muy bonito.

Unfortunately the fish was soggy, the chips were underfried and the whole chicken was dry. Overall a disappointment regarding to the reviews that we read beforehand.

Trotz, dass es "Fish" heißt, so gibt es hier Döner und andere Türkische Spezialitäten eines Schnellrestaurants. Auswahl eines Tisches sowie Bestellung waren ruck-zuck erledigt. Kostenlose Vorspeise kam quasi sofort und wir hatten sie vor Eintreffen der Hauptspeise noch nicht einmal aufgegessen. Hauptspeise war lecker, jedoch war mein Anspruch bezüglich des Lammfleisches wegen diverser Urfa Besuche zu hoch.

Favoourite Kebab y fish chips. Gran servicio y muy limpio. Cliente Habitual y recomiendo este restaurante a todo el mundo.

The fish was perfect, however the chips were spongy and not good at all. The staff was good and they serve you pretty quick.

I tried both the Haddock and Cod...both were Amazing!!! Large, hot, Delicious. Ask for fresh fried, they usually only have cod ready, but I ordered the Haddock and I waited 10 minutes, but I tried the cod while I waited, the cod had been cooked about 15 minutes prior to me arriving at the restaurant, so it was not real hot, but it was still good, and it is a nice size portion, same size would cost $5 pounds more everywhere else that I saw...Definitely ask for Fresh fried, my Haddock was Divine!!!!

Had to find the fish -more batter than fish + not very generous portion of chips. Rather tasteless. Expensive for what is on the plate. Seems the kebabs are the speciality not the fish & chips - not surprised.Very disappointing

I've had better, the roast chicken is a little dry, chips aren't crispy and the Greek salad has no olives. I still ate it though.

No frills, just good classic fish and chips. You have your choice from several different types of fish, and the service is quick and the food delicious.There are other things on the menu, but....why? If you're going here, get the fish and chips!

I went to Micky's for some fish and chips. The dish lacked flavor which I had to compensate with lots of sauce.The price is fair, but would never come back.

Great banter from the server, but small portions and fairly pricey - £7.45 for a medium cod meal. Reasonably tasty however!

I was a bit overwhelmed with the kinds of fish to choose from so the server suggested haddock. It was mild flavored and tasty. The chips were hot out of the fryer and yummy.

Me and ny partner wanted a cheap takeaway we could take back to our room at the nearby Hilton.We ordered the Chicken Donner Kebab and accompanied chips which were both delicious and reasonably priced.All in all a very good takeaway. Friendly staff also.

Popped in for a sit down lunch with some friends last week; pleasant and polite service with large portion lunches. Very good value for money. Not sure I fulfilled my 5-a-day of vegetables though. Micky's is a reliable lunch venue on Edgeware Road for sure. With many to choose from, you can't go wrong starting here.

Standard fare I think. I had the cod and chips with a can drink. I wanted some sauce besides malt vinegar, but I think there was a language problem because I ended up getting pea soup. I can't recommend dipping cod in pea soup. So maybe stick with the vinegar.

Have been here many times over the years. Great portions. Perfect chips. But last Thursday was awful. I called in at 5pm for a bag of chips. Ordered. Paid. Waited. Waited a bit more was ignored. The guy that had served me wandered off to talk to some of his buddies in the restaurant. No one else came in. The two other guys behind the counter pretended they didn't understand English. They are certainly good at avoiding eye contact. I waited 15 minutes without being served. I left. Without the chips I had paid for. Never again

After a long day of walking, we got lost and stumbled upon this gem on Edgware Road. Perfect ! It was anything a couple of student tourists could ask for ! The fish and chips were perfect, plenty of chips if you're mad hungry AND the prices were fab ! Waitress was a little moody but being a Muslim joint, I later asked her if she was fasting (it was about 9pm then, an hour or so to breaking fast) and she said yes. I could understand how tired and drained she must have been, can't blame her. She offered a bigger smile after, probably glad someone bothered to ask her! I'd definitely go back the next time I'm in London.

as it is close to the hotel, I ate once in, and once i took it to the hotel. Fresh fish and tasty chips! not extraordinary- good enough!

Had two visits here over the past week, nice food however on both occasions I was nearly tucked up on the bill.Check your bill before you pay, know what you are expected to pay!! Otherwise, enjoy your trip.

Micky's is a fish & chips and kebab restaurant that has a take away bar and seating at the back. I can only rate the kebab meal that we had in the sit down restaurant but a lot of the food would be the same. Lots of great things about this place: The very good food (we tried a range of shish and kofte kebabs) and it all comes served with a great salad, warm Turkish bread and rice or chips. They also serve free tee after the meal. Portion sides were big.The service was amazing. I would even say some of the best service I have ever had.The atmosphere was great for people watching.A great find and I would definitely go back.

Stumbled on this place whilst looking for diner on my work break, wow! Chicken doner, came on plate with large portion of very fresh salad, chips, basket of fresh Greek bread and 3 sauces, all for £6.50 eat in. Very good service from staff. Little gem.

We knew we wanted Fish and Chips so we asked the hotel clerk where she would eat and she suggested Micky's Fishbar, in Paddington area. It was very good and started our visit out in the right direction. They had a daily special, not to bad and it comes with a drink.

The best value takeaway item you will ever eat. For only 2 pounds try a lahmacun pronounced lamma - choon (I believe). It is a large flat bread spread with a thin layer of spicy mince and tomato mix, then salad and chilli sauce. Then it is rolled up.And only costs £2 . So tasty, so cheap. Kebabs good too.

We were tired and just wanted something simple, so fish and chips was it, they were fantastic, a very good choice of meals available not just fish and chips. But the fish and chips were great, nice crunchy chips good sized, it is not a classy place but if you want a good meal for a very good price and very good service, it gave us a wondefful fish and chips memory of London.

Our family traveled to London from the US for an event held nearby at the Hilton Metropole. Micky's quickly became our fav restaurant for quick, delicious and healthy food! The Fish n Chips is incredible and the best value we found while in London! The fish us actually a whole fish battered and fried to order! But, boneless! Served with lemon, vinegar and an in-house Tarter Sauce! The lamb and chicken were so fresh and perfectly grilled and seasoned! Micky's meats are Halal. All the slaws, raitas, sauces, (the lime-chili sauce was to die for!) are made in house and served with fresh bread before each meal. Service was friendly, quick and helpful. Loved this place! Ate many happy meals here with our kids!

Just brought 3 x fish & chips at £8 per serving should of been good.How was I wrong, cold hard batter & dried fish, cold hard chips.Do yourself a favour and walk on by!!!!

Otima opcao de comida em londres, onde tudo e' muito caro. Comida turca muito boa e barata. 6 libras um chicken shisha pequeno e 8 um grande. Tem gosto de espetinho de frango e vem com arroz, uma deliciosa salada de folhas e um pao pitta pra acompanhar. Recomendo bastante!
