This chippy is well known for the huge size of the fish they sell so when we get food from here it is always fish and chips probably not the healthiest of meals but it tastes good

337 Church StreetOrdered 2 x lightly battered fish + 1 large portion of chips. The fish were enormous but that’s where the good review ends.. I asked for lightly battered but the batter was think and under cooked resulting in a soggy mess! We had to remove the fish from the batter but there was still a wet coating of batter stuck to the fish. A shame because the quality of the fish and chips was excellent. Just a shame the batter spoiled our meal. A fish and chip shop has no excuses for not knowing how to prepare and properly cook fresh fish to order..

21 Market StreetReally good fish and chips, mushy peas as they should be and first class service. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby. This chip shop is now closed down. I really wish someone would take over this chippie, Westhoughton must be the only town centre without a traditional fish and chips shop.
