Mezemiso Rooftop Restaurant and Shisha Terrace in Lambeth

Nice Location great views from the terrace. Good food for the most part. Khalid and Ahmed Saad offered great service and looked after us. If you go on a Friday or Saturday you are expected to pay a minimum of £60 per person on only food and drink excluding shisha so keep that in mind.

Excellent service from Ahmed Saad food was worth it.

I would have given a 3* but when I asked to remove the service charge, they said it’s not optional. The starters were nice. The mixed grill was terrible. Shisha was good at the start but didn’t last long and they have a time limit on the table. Place is very expensive. £260 for 2 of us for food and shisha without any alcohol. Wouldn’t mind the price but the experience doesn’t match the price. Also if you are coming for the view, come when it’s daylight as at night time, you can’t see much so it’s a bit pointless

Very lovely customer service and atmosphere. I think the menu was lacking variety and the quality could be a lot better for what you do pay. The customer service is what made it good but i think these food instagram pages inflate a lot of places.

Excellent service and attentiveness from the staff who were helpful and friendly. We love the live music and the ambience was breathtaking especially the lovely views of the embankment. I had a great time on my 1st and 2nd visits and will surely be back!

i had an incredible experience at this rooftop shisha and restaurant! the atmosphere was amazing, but what truly made the night special were Ahmed and Khalid. they went above and beyond to make my sister's birthday unforgettable, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that we all enjoyed. the service was top-notch, the dessert was delicious, and the views were stunning. Highly recommend for any special occasion or just a relaxed night out!

I paid £150 for 2 main dishes and shisha. The shisha alone was £55, but it was the most basic shisha I have ever had. That kind of shisha is not worth more than £20, was very disappointed. The food itself was okay. The view was very nice but the windows need a clean because they’re so dirty. Overall - will not be coming back, it’s not worth the price.

During my time at mezemiso i was treated with lovely customer service by Kalid And Ahmed Saad they were very welcoming and helpful along with Moha she was very kind and helpful. The food was very good and flavourful and along with the shisha and drinks

Over priced, rude host (when we asked about sitting in tarrace, he rudely answered: 60 pounds minimum , ok with that? It’s a place designed for very rich Arabs who are busy with their mobiles so are not bothered and don’t enjoy the experience. Not to talk about their attitude for women drinking or smoking especially if Arabs. We chose some set menus and other mains and they rudely brought the order short for the set menu meals! The food was below average and I’m saying this as an Arab and as very experienced in fine dining. Highly not recommended.

A very disappointing and disgraceful experience. The staff were rude, and the service was appalling. The portion sizes are nowhere near worth the prices they charge. Completely cheeky with the pricing. There was clear discrimination, and the staff showed no respect whatsoever. This restaurant is grossly overrated, and the list of issues could go on. We pay to receive quality that reflects the price, but in this restaurant, it’s quite the opposite. I wouldn’t recommend it at all, even if offered the chance to dine there for free. I’ve given it one star only because there’s no option for zero or negative stars.

the restaurant itself looked nice and the food was decent but not worth the price we paid. however, the service was extremely disappointing. we came for my birthday and they ruined the experience for me. we came in and they asked if we want to sit in the lounge or outside and we said outside not knowing that we would have to pay for shisha. we then sat on the outdoor lounge and a staff member kept asking what shisha we wanted and at first we said we are deciding whether we want it or not but then when he came and asked the last time we said we have changed our mind. He then said we have to pay for it because we booked the shisha lounge in advance eventhough nothing was stated when we pre-booked. my friend then went over to the manager to ask to change tables to inside so we don’t have to pay for shisha but they said this is not an option even though the place was empty. this means that we were forced into paying £48 for shisha, which was also the cheapest one, but we did not want to pay for this. if we chose not to pay it even though we wouldn’t have received the shisha we were told that we would have to pay a fee. this caused a lot of stress on my birthday and i don’t see how they couldn’t have just changed our table.

I’m so glad I decided to book this place. Based on the views alone I made a reservation for my friend’s birthday dinner. An intimate meal for 2 on a Monday was just what the doctor ordered. First of all, the greeting? Beautiful. The hostesses were so friendly, so welcoming and accommodating. They took like a thousand pictures of us and really hyped up our night. The table had a little birthday card and rose petals (faux) and we got a corner table with a view as per our request. The VIEWS!!! Absolutely gorgeous. The river, the lights, it was magical. I would definitely recommend taking someone here on a date, quite romantic. Pictures are hard to take with the full view at night because of the light of the restaurant and bar reflections so be warned - you may have to get crazy with the angles. The cocktails I ordered were superb, the pornstar martini was smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. They didn’t have it on the menu but I asked for a Bloody Mary which they made and they had the courtesy to ASK how spicy I wanted it. And it was delish. We got some basic starters like the chicken wings and tempura but the sauces? 🔥 Really gorgeous and flavourful. For the main, I ordered the lamb kabsa. It was very tender lamb and the rice was beautiful. The spice was a little lacking and it tasted a bit bland but generally good. My friend enjoyed the lamb chops. We were full at this point and had to take some of the food home, we didn’t get a chance to try their desserts. I am definitely coming back again so will try them then!! Amazing food and vibes, with a bar that offers alcohol-free options—mocktails are fantastic! What keeps bringing us back, though, is Sofia. From our first night at Mez when she was DJing, she’s been nothing but hospitable. She played great music, wished us well when we left, and ever since, we always come back to see her, especially for birthdays. She even asks if we have any song requests and treats us more like family than just visitors. Defo wouldn't have come back as many times if it wasn't for Sofia. 🙌👏

In this place, despite the high price, none of the staff knows how to respect you, they treat you rudely and use swear words to communicate with you, while we had a family reservation, but one of the staff told us He said that you don't have a reservation and I won't let you in, while the manager of the restaurant called and announced that they have a reservation, but this rude staff disrespected his manager and told us that I won't let you in, I even had a reservation confirmation email, but This staff disrespectfully refused to let us in. I think that this staff had a problem with us because he understood that we are from the Middle East. After that, when the reception management spoke and announced that we have a reservation, we were directed to the restaurant, but the same personnel prevented us from entering. In addition, in a restaurant of this level, the name of the personnel should be written on their chest, but unfortunately, there is no one in this restaurant. His name was not known

Great spot for late-night drinks! This bar stays open later than any other in the area, making it perfect for those looking to extend their night. While the prices aren’t cheap, the drinks are well-made and worth it. There's also a balcony for smokers, which is a nice touch. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.

Went for a joint family birthday on a busy Saturday night. Food: Set menu was opted for. Starters [Mezze] were actually overall better than the mains. Dessert baklava was also remarkably good. Drinks were ok: Well prepared and presented, but the bartenders were using single shots or free-pouring short on the cocktails. Service: 5* for sure. Waiters were attentive and added to the good vibe of the evening. Bartenders were moving quickly and considering how much demand was on the BOH, everything came out in a reasonable time frame. Atmosphere: Standout part of the evening. Special shout out to the DJ. She was fantastic throughout the whole evening and laid the basis for the live drummer and belly dancer to really shine and put on an amazing show. Compliments to management for selecting an amazing set of entertainers who work well with the permanent FOH staff to put the guests in the best mood and take this way beyond a typical dinner experience. If there is a main reason to return to Mezemiso it would be the spectacle they put on in the evenings.

A colleague and I visited this restaurant spontaneously and did not enjoy it. We were welcomed by a young lady at reception which mentioned that they do have a dress code of smart shoes and not trainers. Very understandable. We then asked to sit in the outdoor area and was told “you have to have a shisha” more than happy to get a shisha and then she says “you have to pay for it” as if we were expecting it for free. Then comes the food. We waited nearly 1 hour for the starters to come out. The starters came out cold, as they were cold throughout and to the touch, and said to the young man Khaled serving us that it was cold which he resolved the problem promptly. The main course was average and not worth the money. (I must say the short ribs were exquisite which we had alongside 2 mix grills between the pair of us.) We came to pay the bill. Our bill came to £269 including a £30 (optional) service charge which we opted not to pay due to the reasons I have mentioned above and that seemed to be a problem. Anyways, will not be be returning.

She turned the restaurant to a live club .. we planned on going to the club after dinner but Dj Sofia showed up and gave us a blast of all time !!! I absolutely love her ❤️❤️❤️ highly recommend 💯

I'm not going to say anything about the food since I didnt eat at this place. We saw this place online and wanted to eat at a nice looking restaurant with a view of Thames. When we got there, the music was extremely loud with belly dancers performing. They turned it even louder after a few minutes so much so that it was impossible to have a conversation with my friend without shouting in his ear. We both got up and left since it was painful to the ears. I wouldnt have been writing this review if that is where it ended since its up to each restaurant to arrange their own events and its understandable that loud music is not for everyone. But, when we were leaving, an absolute prick of a guy pulled us to the side and started asking for "payment" for booking a table. The lady who booked the table for us told him not to and we left. In my entire life of dining out, I have never seen any restaurant put up such a ridiculous demand. Be very careful when booking with these people, specially if you're not fancying a visit to the ENT specialist. Cant imagine sitting in such terrible atmosphere for an hour let alone enjoying food.

I had a very bad cold so could eat with my friends. Couldn’t taste the food, only had tea. A party of 12 and more. I asked her to play Afro beats while I dance on the dance floor to pass the time and she gladly did. She also danced with me which was wonderful. I really love her vibe l. She played Afro beats because we were the only table of black girls left in the restaurant to accommodate us. I really love her and will be back again. Thank you so much Sofia Bellerby. I came here by staying at the Hyatt Embankment. The food and servers were outstanding!!! The DJ Sofia was amazing, outstanding and the music was awesome! We celebrated my daughter’s birthday and had a great time. DJ Sofia is the best DJ EVER!!! Very talented.

I had a dreadful experience at this restaurant. My visit to this restaurant was a complete disaster. The staff was rude and unprofessional, even shouting at us and telling us to go to another restaurant. When we sought help, the manager was unhelpful and refused to address our concerns. We ended up leaving without receiving any service, but were still forced to pay for it. The entire experience was frustrating and unacceptable. I will definitely not be returning.

During my time in London, this was the first restaurant I tried since it was conveniently located in the hotel I was staying at. This restaurant completely exceeded my expectations, that I came TWICE in a row. The food was so amazing! But, the highlight of my night was the DJ Sofia she was so sweet, personable and made my birthday very special! She is amazing, and she played great music all night! She even played each song I requested. This was my first time in London, and it really set the tone of my trip. Can’t wait to come back soon. Thank you for an amazing experience!!

It was my birthday so husband booked the table for us and they had a card saying happy birthday and some rose petals on the table which I thought was very nice, the atmosphere is also very nice and has a fun vibe to it, after we paid, we got Up to leave but one of the guys (really nice) made us sit back down and bought over some baklava and ice cream with a sparkler in and wished me happy birthday which I thought was really sweet, however I would say food is abit overpriced for what you get but overall we had a good time there

We visited Mezemiso for the first time to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and from beginning to end, we truly enjoyed the experience. It was a wonderful evening—the staff were amazing, attentive, kind, and very friendly. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were the best I’ve had in my 11 years living in London. The ambiance was fantastic, and the belly dancer, musician, and DJ were outstanding. On top of that, they made my husband’s birthday extra special by surprising us with a “Happy Birthday” song, involving all the staff and music.It was an incredibly memorable experience, and we both left very happy.

The atmosphere was expectational, the service was also good. Overall had a great experience would definitely recommend, the DJ Sophia played a variety of music and you could also request to play a song of your choice.

The food was okay. When I asked for my bill I was meant to pay £72 but instead they took £720 out of my account which the were able unable to refund back to me the night it happened. I had to wait a few days to revive me my money back. I did revive any type of compensation for their mistake which inconvenienced me.

Terrible service and food, the only thing that’s worth it in this place is the view which they won’t let you go to because they prioritise certain types of customers over other.

I came here for dinner with my girlfriend and the food was amazing, so was the atmosphere, the view and music however the service was not good they took 40minutes to make our food we did come around opening time so maybe the chiefs wasn’t ready yet. We also wasn’t giving anything complimentary. When I ordered hummus for the started there was no bread given but I had to pay for it and I wasn’t told the bread wasn’t included until I got my bill, and the cutlery was touched without asking and put on the table and finally when I asked for the bill they took 30minutes because I didn’t want to pay for service charge due to the poor services. I told them I had a flight and they still took long. However the waiter was very polite and did offer some fake roses on the table.

Friday evening dinner treat with the wife for our anniversary. I booked it for the views and food. We got served by Ziad who was amazing and looked after us. Music was too loud and felt like I was in a rave, not my cup of tea. That aside an enjoyable experience.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. I made the booking over the phone for the terrace. The restaurant was nice the food was decent however the night was ruined when the bill came and we asked for the service charge to be removed the owner then came aggressively and asked why we wanted to take it off. The bill had come up to £225 and he then said he’s not taking the service charge off and then said because of you trying to take it off I’m adding a £65 shisha onto the bill which we hadn’t ordered. The staff started saying we had to buy shisha to be in the restaurant, we had been there for 3 hours and this was not stated. After a back and forth the owner was incredibly rude and even called the hotel security on us. The security in fact agreed with us that we shouldn’t have to pay for a shisha that we did not consume. The other guests in the restaurant were made to pay the service charge also as they were bullied into paying. The restaurant is let down by its owner, who huffed and puffed at customers who had a £245 bill. In the end I paid £245 when the original bill with the service charge came as £225. I can only assume the owner is racist as the other couple bullied into paying the extra charge were also a black couple.

I was finessed by instagram. Don't waste your time or money! This place is so cheap and run down. The terrace stinks, the food is MID at best. I've eaten all over London and you'll be gutted if you waste your time or money here. The host was lovely but the table staff on the terrace were so inappropriate. It was like all the guests knew they'd arrived at faulty towers! Madness.

We made a reservation at your restaurant, during the meal we were surprised at the amount of €59 taken from my account, I decided to discuss it with the manager who explained to me that it was a technical problem and that I will be reimbursed in 2 days, we finish our meal which we paid €302 together, I finished my stay and 1 month later still no reimbursement. Not serious..

Service was absolute exceptional along with the aesthetic and roof top view , staff went above and beyond to meet our needs .
