Great little find, amazing food - worth a little wait as very fresh and authentic. Children loved it too!

Went for the first time today, we were greeted with a warm welcome. Ordered nachos for a sharer, and then shared quesadillas, fish tacos and a burrito. Everything tasted amazing and was generous in it's size. The churros rounded the meal off well. Will definitely be back next time we visit Southampton!

Este lugar hace honor a su reputación. Los arroceros, pollo y cerdo, ambos muy sabrosos y quedaron bien con el refresco de mango. Churros para el desierto tenían grandes salsas, chocolate y dulce de leche eran deliciosos. Chef era muy servicial y k amablemente explicó cómo elegir las mejores limas para exprimir.

I grew up in California eating Mexican food, and I always approach UK Mexican restaurants with scepticism. This place is 100% legit. Probably the best I've been to. Anywhere else in the UK that I can compare it to treats Mexican cuisine like a fine dining experience, charging £10+ for a single taco. Here, I had 3 tacos for £7.95, and they were outstanding. My wife had a delicious mixed pepper, vegetarian burrito and we shared chips and guac. Everything was so good that I had to ask the owner if he was Mexican. It turns out that he's just a well seasoned chef with a passion for cooking authentic food. If I lived in Southampton, i'd be here at least once a week.

This is such an amazing find, my friend brought me here and have come for a second visit with my fella. Its all home made and authentic. The flavors are phenomenal! The burrito was so good! Can't recommend it enough

Best Mexican in Southampton hands down

This review is only about the churros that I order.. They were just frozen churros like the those Cheap we can buy from any market. Everything else was decent! But it's pretty unacceptable to sell such cheap churros as a restaurant.

Cuando busqué los mejores restaurantes de Southampton, Mexifun fue una de las mejores recomendaciones, y como chupa comida mexicana, tuve que probarlo. Naturalmente, pedimos nachos para comenzar, una prueba obligada en cualquier restaurante mexicano. El cerdo tirado en los nachos era jugoso y suculento, complementado perfectamente con el delicioso guacamole. Para el plato principal, pedí el burrito de pollo frotado de ancho y mi novia eligió algo más ligero un tazón de arroz con pollo a la parrilla. El burrito era enorme y delicioso, lleno justo sin fugas. El tazón de arroz también era fantástico y sabía bastante similar a mi burrito, ya que es esencialmente un burrito desnudo. También sirven Jarritos, un tipo de refresco mexicano, aunque es un poco caro. En general, pagamos alrededor de £ 18 por persona, que yo diría que es razonable. Tenga en cuenta que el restaurante es bastante pequeño, por lo que es posible que tenga que esperar un poco para sentarse y ser servido. Sin duda una visita obligada si eres fan de la comida mexicana.

On October 17th, Walked in, and the place was empty. A guy at the counter just stared at us and didn't say anything. We said hello, and he said hello back and kept staring at us in silence. He didn't offer the menu, didn't offer a table. A minute later, he turned around and went to the kitchen, and we tried to call him. He showed us with a gesture to "wait" and kept doing something in the kitchen. There were no clients at the restaurant at that moment!!! Clearly, his goal was to have zero customers that day. Good reviews are probably fake.

Food decent. Needs to be more spicy. No beer. No toilet. Took ages to get food

Without a doubt, some of the best Mexican food I've ever had in my life very reasonably priced as well. And if you can't get in because there's a bit of a wait, it definitely would be worth it. Absolutely love the steak burrito and my wife had the chicken one which she loved as well. Planning to go back there very soon 🙂

Went here for a work lunch. I was really impressed with the great selection available. I had the pork nachos. For context, I really love Mexican food. It is one of my top three global cuisines. So when I say these were probably the best nachos I've ever had I mean it. I'm fact, I think, only one other time in my life have I ever had nachos more than half as good. They were fully loaded with generous helpings of quality ingredients. For the price I expected a snack, but what I got left me not needing dinner that night. I will definitely be visiting with my wife.

Just visited Mexifun this afternoon. What a find!! Tacos were fantastic. We also had chips and guac & Churros to end. Very reasonably priced and really nice service from the owner. Highly recommend to anyone in Southampton.

Every time we go to Southampton, we always have lunch at Mexifun. Having been to Mexico and eaten a LOT of tacos, this is the only place where you can get legit Mexican tacos - they are amazing! The man who owns Mexifun is lovely and always happy to chat. We are already looking forward to being able to return!

Dropped in for pork nachos and a rice bowl. Could not fault service or quality. Everything was fresh and made to order , the quality of the ingredients is clear to see. Very very happy to have this place on my doorstep.

Looking for authentic Mexican street food!!! Look no further!!!! Small place but don't let the size fool you!!!! What they lack in size, they make up in big taste. The portions are decent size. Service was awesome and the ambiance was amazing.

So if you are from the USA might want to skip this place if you have actually been to a Mexican restaurant. With the reviews we thought it was going to be great. Very disappointing. The guacamole tasted like was like from a bag and they added red onion. Could have use some actual cilantro in it. We had steak burritos and they had black beans and rice mixed together like almost Puerto Rican beans and rice then there was pickled cabbage and red onion in it😳 not good in the burrito. The quality of the steak was so so, not a lot of flavor. The burrito skin was good, lime was juicy and chips were warm, that’s the pluses. Staff was friendly.

Probably the best tacos I have had outside of Mexico! They use great ingredients and source their spices and seasoning from Mexico so it’s not a surprise they taste so great. We had servings of the steak and the pork tacos and both were delicious. Plus they have proper Jaritos drinks! Absolutely recommend Mexifun!

Mainly for take out but a few small tables. The food was amazing. So tasty, well presented and the staff were lovely. Would definitely return. Shame it's not a full blown restaurant... would have loved a beer or a margarita with it. Oh and the churros were delicious.

They are always great. There is not big restaurant, however, all food’s taste are incredible. I think, Mexifun is most delicious Mexican cuisine all over the UK. You can feel full whatever you want to eat.

Sought out this wee gem after some Trip Advisor research. Lucky enough to get a table for an early dinner (16.30) on a busy Saturday afternoon. All went for burritos of varying varieties & all impressed with fantastic flavours & impressive portion size.
