This is such an amazing find, my friend brought me here and have come for a second visit with my fella. Its all home made and authentic. The flavors are phenomenal! The burrito was so good! Can't recommend it enough

This review is only about the churros that I order.. They were just frozen churros like the those Cheap we can buy from any market. Everything else was decent! But it's pretty unacceptable to sell such cheap churros as a restaurant.

When I looked up the best restaurants in Southampton, Mexifun was one of the top recommendations, and as a sucker for Mexican food, I had to try it. Naturally, we ordered nachos to start, a must try at any Mexican restaurant. The pulled pork on the nachos was juicy and succulent, complemented perfectly by the delicious guacamole. For the main course, I ordered the ancho rubbed chicken burrito and my girlfriend chose something lighter a grilled chicken rice bowl. The burrito was massive and delicious, filled just right with no leakage. The rice bowl was also fantastic and tasted quite similar to my burrito, as it's essentially a naked burrito. They also serve Jarritos, a type of Mexican soda, though it's a bit pricey. Overall, we paid around £18 per person, which I’d say is reasonable. Keep in mind that the restaurant is quite small, so you might need to wait a bit to be seated and served. Definitely a must visit if you’re a fan of Mexican food.

On October 17th, Walked in, and the place was empty. A guy at the counter just stared at us and didn't say anything. We said hello, and he said hello back and kept staring at us in silence. He didn't offer the menu, didn't offer a table. A minute later, he turned around and went to the kitchen, and we tried to call him. He showed us with a gesture to "wait" and kept doing something in the kitchen. There were no clients at the restaurant at that moment!!! Clearly, his goal was to have zero customers that day. Good reviews are probably fake.

Food decent. Needs to be more spicy. No beer. No toilet. Took ages to get food

Amazing authentic Mexican street food served in a cute little restaurant a little off the beaten track. Food absolutely delicious - freshly made and great flavours - all served by charming smiley staff. Best burritos we’ve ever had.

Without a doubt, some of the best Mexican food I've ever had in my life very reasonably priced as well. And if you can't get in because there's a bit of a wait, it definitely would be worth it. Absolutely love the steak burrito and my wife had the chicken one which she loved as well. Planning to go back there very soon 🙂

Went here for a work lunch. I was really impressed with the great selection available. I had the pork nachos. For context, I really love Mexican food. It is one of my top three global cuisines. So when I say these were probably the best nachos I've ever had I mean it. I'm fact, I think, only one other time in my life have I ever had nachos more than half as good. They were fully loaded with generous helpings of quality ingredients. For the price I expected a snack, but what I got left me not needing dinner that night. I will definitely be visiting with my wife.

Just visited Mexifun this afternoon. What a find!! Tacos were fantastic. We also had chips and guac & Churros to end. Very reasonably priced and really nice service from the owner. Highly recommend to anyone in Southampton.

Every time we go to Southampton, we always have lunch at Mexifun. Having been to Mexico and eaten a LOT of tacos, this is the only place where you can get legit Mexican tacos - they are amazing! The man who owns Mexifun is lovely and always happy to chat. We are already looking forward to being able to return!

Dropped in for pork nachos and a rice bowl. Could not fault service or quality. Everything was fresh and made to order , the quality of the ingredients is clear to see. Very very happy to have this place on my doorstep.

Everything I have had here has been really tasty - the tacos, poke bowls and quesadillas. Staff is super accommodating and polite. Reasonably priced as well 👌

Looking for authentic Mexican street food!!! Look no further!!!! Small place but don't let the size fool you!!!! What they lack in size, they make up in big taste. The portions are decent size. Service was awesome and the ambiance was amazing.

So if you are from the USA might want to skip this place if you have actually been to a Mexican restaurant. With the reviews we thought it was going to be great. Very disappointing. The guacamole tasted like was like from a bag and they added red onion. Could have use some actual cilantro in it. We had steak burritos and they had black beans and rice mixed together like almost Puerto Rican beans and rice then there was pickled cabbage and red onion in it😳 not good in the burrito. The quality of the steak was so so, not a lot of flavor. The burrito skin was good, lime was juicy and chips were warm, that’s the pluses. Staff was friendly.

Probably the best tacos I have had outside of Mexico! They use great ingredients and source their spices and seasoning from Mexico so it’s not a surprise they taste so great. We had servings of the steak and the pork tacos and both were delicious. Plus they have proper Jaritos drinks! Absolutely recommend Mexifun!

Always excellent food and really nice bloke. Good clean location. Only drawbacks are no toilet facilities and only 4 small tables. But still worth the very short walk from West Quay.

Mainly for take out but a few small tables. The food was amazing. So tasty, well presented and the staff were lovely. Would definitely return. Shame it's not a full blown restaurant... would have loved a beer or a margarita with it. Oh and the churros were delicious.

They are always great. There is not big restaurant, however, all food’s taste are incredible. I think, Mexifun is most delicious Mexican cuisine all over the UK. You can feel full whatever you want to eat.

Wow! The vegan burritos were absolutely divine. Highly recommend the sweet potato. The sauces that accompany were really special. The most divine Mexican, we will be back.

Sought out this wee gem after some Trip Advisor research. Lucky enough to get a table for an early dinner (16.30) on a busy Saturday afternoon. All went for burritos of varying varieties & all impressed with fantastic flavours & impressive portion size.

The chicken is tender and juicy, the mixed red peppers burst with flavours, and the ambience is welcoming. And everything is fresh! Have only tried chicken and mixed peppers in various formats but none disappointed.

Love food at mexifun. Always fresh and juicy. The chicken bowl is my favorite with an amazing portion. Good mix of veggies, well grilled and seasoned lean meat,rice and beans. It is yummy. I had the Chicken Burrito and it was the best I’ve ever had in my life. So well put together and delicious. Friendly staff, this place is a real little gem. You can tell they put a lot of effort into things and the details add up to an amazing experience.

Food was great, really nice and decent prices. Staff were exceptional - chef even came out to chat about chili sauce - and they have amazing chili sauce. Sadly only in Southampton for one night or I would have gone back the next night. Will definitely be going there if back in Soton. Wish there were more places like this around!

Forget about the Casa Brazil, the real Greek, L`Osteria etc. MEXIFUN is THE FOOD to HAVE! Fresh fast food, made with care and true joy for the ingredients and for the craft of the perfect taco flavor! This is the best spot ever for any mexican inspired cuisine! You will not regret tasting each of the items on the menu! Believe me - ambrosia!

We went in this little place as we were passing by looking for somewhere small and independent to try. The food was all fresh and lovely, Burrito portions were huge and we were not left hungry. Authentic feed, its a tiny place with not many tables so hopefully one day they can extend it a bit or move as i now worry i wont be able to get a seat.

I ate here for lunch last week and had the pulled pork rice bowl. Honestly the best Mexican food I’ve had, it was delicious. It was so good in fact, I returned the following 2 days in a row. The staff are really nice and genuinely happy to serve their customers. I’ll be returning again….. very soon !

I always come here with my girlfriend, whether it’s dine in or ordered online the food is always amazing. Just came in today for some brunch and we were waiting outside for it to open. The people that run this restaurant are the loveliest and most hospitable I’ve met in all of Southampton. Couldn’t recommend their food enough, and if you’re ever in the area have a sit down meal for sure. Best Mexican food I’ve ever had.
