Mexi-Kernow in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

My family and I are regular visitors to this area of Cornwall but have never tried Mexi-Kernow before. We pre-ordered for 10 people on a rainy Friday afternoon for collection in the evening. There was a slight wait for our food but due to the size of the order this was understandable. The food was really fresh and so tasty, great for adults and children alike. The option for dairy free cheese and sour cream was great for one of us with dietary requirements too. I look forward to visiting again next year!

Excellent and varied food served from a container turned kitchen. Tables available if it ever stops raining! I just Googlemap-stumbled across it on a recent trip down to Cornwall, and would thoroughly recommend this as a cheeky alternative to FnC or a pasty - NOTE currently cash only, and you do really need to order ahead via social media, but these aren't even quibbles 👍

The food was delicious thank you. We turned up after a Google search for something different, not realising that we had to pre- order however we were squeezed in. Highly recommended and will be back next time we are in Cornwall.

Wow, what an experience! We phoned late in the evening unsure if the Google timings were accurate (they were) After a quick friendly chat we made our way down. Had an easy conversation with the proprietor whilst she prepped food and assisted us in our choices. Food was ready 10 mins later. Food was simply amazing, loads of flavours that all worked well, just enough heat to make it interesting but not uncomfortable. Absolutely try them out, you will not be disappointed.

This was such a unique experience but well worth it if you want to have restaurant quality food at home! We ordered via Instagram and the owner was incredibly helpful we were able to get exactly what we wanted and collect at a time of our choosing. The ingredients and the flavours were amazing - the tequila fried prawns were a highlight - and the portions were generous!

Hard to believe - to find such a great Mexican in the middle of Cornwall, after living close to decade in the USA, I can say this is super authentic and super high quality

We love a good Mexi-Kernow, there is nothing like it! In fact, when we have friends to stay, if we give them the option of a pub meal or Mexi-Kernow it is always the latter! We've never had a bad meal from here and the dirty fries are a firm favourite. it is always advisable to keep an eye out for the menu as soon as you can, things can sell out quickly, especially in the summer and there is nothing worse than getting excited about dinner and then realising it's all sold out! Their Facebook page always has the most recent menu and you can order via Facebook or call.

Very tasty and makes a change from the usual takeaway fish n chips, pizza etc. We didn't realise we had to order through FB/insta, so thank you for accommodating us at the last minute!

Stumbled across this place on Google maps. They squeezed us in even though we hadn't pre ordered which was really great! Amazing vegan and veggie options, super tasty and huge portions! 100% recommend. Super cute set up outside as well to eat there :)

We ate such amazing food from a sea container a bit in the middle of nowhere but super cool all the same! The dirty fries were delicious and the zesty line flavour a surprising treat. Beef blade was excellent and meant for the hungry! If I lived locally I could see it being a favourite.

I would just like to say that the experience I had here, was second to none. The food was absolutely amazing full of flavour and a great portion. The new owners have transformed this place, it’s so nice to have enthusiastic members of the community running an establishment to its full capacity. The negative reviews for not being open are silly, it’s not their fault you pass when it’s shut. Well done to you both .

Ignore these, not open reviews below, clowns. What you need to know is that when it is open, the food is bloody amazing, tasty, delicious, wholesome and arguably the best takeout dining you're going to get this side of the Tamar. Yes cash only is really no drama... Give it a go, order through Facebook and you won't be disappointed, tis proper ansum. Locals love it.

Randomly came across this place on TripAdvisor and I'm so glad I did! Ordered the veggie chilli burrito and sticky fries and let me tell you, they were definitely worth the 90 mile drive to pick them up - the fries were spicy and as sticky as their name promised, and the burrito was absolutely stuffed full of chilli, rice and all the good stuff. I will for sure be ordering from them again next time I'm heading to Cornwall 😍

Best take away food in North Cornwall by far, absolutely stunning, they cater for everyone, carnivores, veggies and vegans. Its the hidden Gem of Camelford !

I honestly think this is probably the best takeaway in North Cornwall. Its always our first choice and we are never disappointed Delicious!

What a local gem! Incredible food (the beef brisket chimichangas are out of this world), generous portions and a hassle-free way to order and collect. Mexi-Kernow is our go to when we fancy a weekend treat!
