A really nice bar, comfortable, not loud, bustling but personal. The team were really great and looked after us well. The drinks on offer will suit all tastes and the bar menu was good.

Ordered a meal in the lounge bar. Pasta was fine. Chicken burger overcooked & almost impossible to cut with knife. Returned it to kitchen & never got it back. Queried with waiter who took it back to kitchen & was told by him that we would have to query with hotel. Too much time had past & my partner had finished his meal & plate had been removed so past the point of feeling hungry. Awful food on one part & service all for £50! They did in the end refund for the unedible burger.

En general, el lugar es bueno para relajarse y disfrutar de su comida y bebida, pero el único inconveniente es el tiempo que toma tomar su pedido y servirlo.

Waited ages as was unstaffed most of the time. Over priced and not a comfortable place to sit. Save yourself and grab a corona from a supermarket and sit by the lake

My friends and I visited the bar at the Hilton Metropole while attending an event at the NEC. We seemed to end most of our nights there sharing a drink after the event, and on a couple of occasions we ordered food as well. The bar is very comfortable and, as expected from the Hilton brand, the staff were excellent. The food is a little on the expensive side, but the quality and standards are high. Over our visits, we ordered sandwiches one night and from the hot food menu another. Especially noteworthy was the duck salad, which was part of the specials menu. It was plentiful, delicious and the duck was cooked perfectly! My friend ordered the sausages, mash and Yorkshire pudding, which also looked very good! The food and atmosphere made this the perfect place to socialise after hours!

Had a couple of meetings here so thought the bar would be a good place to relax before and after. The area is cold, I did ask for someone to turn up the heating - it didn't happen. I ordered tea and toast and was surprised as to how expensive to was. Bring your big wallet. The hotel seems to used for conferences and air crews stopovers as well as business users so its busy. Hand for the airport and the NEC. Its OK, but I'd use a different hotel in the future.

Not the cheapest way of hydriating yourself but it was nice to look out onto the lake in the sun! The wooden seating wasn't entirley practical either. Inside the bar is very elegant and the staff were very attentive. Perhaps a little too attentive, watch out for the service charge! it is cheaper to go up to the bar yourself.

Not the place to be if you have a tight budget! The white wine (Sauvignon Blanc) was good, but £14 a glass is scandalous. Will look elsewhere in future!!

I had the unfortunate experience of being at this Hotel for a conference and ending up at this Lounge two nights. The first night I ordered food and it took over 45 minutes to get my food, it was a simple steak sandwich. It came out cold and obviously had sat in the kitchen for a long while before it was brought to me. No apology for the slow service, or followup on the food either. Service wasn't a priority that night or the next night. The hotel must realize that it has a captive audience and that it doesn't have to have a service or food quality component to its lounge offerings. Too bad. The next night, I had a burger and much better managed my expectations, it only took 35 minutes for this to come out, and I ordered directly from the bar so I didn't have to be disappointed by an inept server. I even prepaid at the bar. If you go there manage your expectations on service and food quality and timing. I cannot recommend, regretfully.

Not the cheapest of local bars, but in line with other nearby hotels. A soft drink is around £3, and a G&T (a "botanical" gin - single, with slim line tonic) was just under £9. They do have a good range of beers/lagers and spirits...

Being situated within the Hilton Hotel, expect to pay top rates for drinks. £5.50+ per pint. Your paying for the locality to the NEC. You may wish to consider visiting the JD Weatherspoon's situated with the NEC as an alternative.

Such a shame, disappointed that I couldn't have water to dilute my drink. I had dined with husband and enjoyed my food. I ordered a passion mojito but unfortunately when it arrived it was a little to sweet. I asked if I could have some tap water to dilute my drink but unfortunately I was told I could pay for water but they won't give me water to dilute my drink. I am disappointed as most restaurants give tap water. I had already paid £7.50 for my drink and didn't feel right paying for water to dilute it. Such a shame. Please provide tap water

Steak bake. No filling poor value these used to be value for money. Not any more. £2.00 for a product without a filling.. won't be using Greggs again.

Really good food and extremely friendly staff. Our waiter Pedro was a star. So friendly and helpful, a welcome change to so-often surly hospitality staff. Steak was perfectly cooked, tagine flavourful. Creme brulee decadent. Wine excellent (merlot) . Food took awhile to arrive but it was worth it. Prices in line with airport / hotel sites. A nice start to our holiday the next day.

Very fast service! I managed to order at the bar, went for a coffee and when I got back to the table food just arrived 😌 Quite nice full english breakfast, not as good as at he city but as for the airport service it’s okay. Not a fan of the coffee though, barely tastes as coffee. The Staff was very nice and very quick.

Outside temp was 9c when we arrived on 20th September. Inside Costa was like sitting in a fridge with the air con full on cold! People were sat with coats on. Is this done to make people vacate tables quickly. Seating areas arranged OK but the furniture was worn out . The upholstery was torn and worn with the framework exposed. The bench seats were torn also. The upholstery was worryingly filthy which posed a hygiene risk. How much bacteria was in there. We were checking our clothing to make sure the dirt had not transferred onto us. Considering we were next to the NEC arena and most likely this place gets thousands of customers, a refurbishment and deep clean is long overdue.
