Bought 2 Stilton sausage rolls, which really were disappointing. They didn't taste nice, and I threw mine in the bin . There was a big queue for this bakery, but maybe it's because it's the only one in this town .

Food is always tasty, amazing sausage rolls & bread. Highly recommended!! Staff are always polite and friendly. Food is well presented also great selection.

Merv and the staff are always friendly and quick, the dog always gets a treat. Love their baked goods!

Merv's is another reason why we like Wymondham, the seeded loaf is great, as are the sandwiches and cakes, can't rate highly enough!

Whether you are a visitor to Wymondham or a local, everyone should pay a visit to Merv's, a Wymondham institution. Not a sit in place so be prepared to eat your goodies elsewhere. Great choice of breads, pies, cakes and more. Go on, treat yourself!

I have been visiting Merv's Hot Bread Kitchen for more than a two years now and thought it was high time I left a review. Even in these difficult times the bakery has been open throughout. My usual staples are a large granary loaf, soft white rolls, carrot cake and fresh cream cakes. The bread is of the highest standard always fresh, often still warm from the oven. I have bought bread on a Thursday and its still fresh on a Sunday. The fresh cream cakes a delicious doughy with icing and really good fresh cream. Finally the carrot cake, the spices are just right the cake moist and the topping is the best I've tasted. Must mention the staff, very friendly and helpful and always a pleasure to share a few words with Merv on racing. There's a reason the bakery has survived despite the town having two large supermarkets. Quality, variety, service, and a great range of products. If you are lucky enough to snap up the Battenberg which literally flys of the shelf you will not taste better.

Decided to order a loaf of sourdough and a couple of chutney sausage rolls from here during lockdown. Unfortunately we were left bitterly disappointed. The sourdough was anything but, it was small, dense and far from resembling any sourdough we’ve had before. As for the chutney sausage rolls, well only one contained chutney! The missing chutney aside, they were average. It’s such a shame that this is the case as we would have loved to support a local business, however we will not be returning.

Wow, what a shop. Went for breakfast pastries and wanted to buy the shop. Full of the most delicious looking breads, pastries and cakes. Breads of all types from around the world, perhaps it is as well we don't live in Wyndmondam as the waist line would be expanding. All served by polite friendly staff. Looking forward to our next visit

A lot of people were waiting for their sandwiches to be made up so it didn’t take long to buy a whole meal loaf and a couple of sausage rolls. The sausage rolls were very large and still warm but I found the one I tried to be unpleasantly fatty flabby and inedible. The loaf had a good crust, decent density and a satifactory flavour.

I always try to use this bakery for their bread. I have never been disappointed. The bread is always very tasty. The bread freezes well and keeps far longer than supermarket bread. If I buy bread from anywhere else you can always tell the difference and my husband dislikes it.

On a recent visit to the town we found this super takeaway bakery. We had a bacon and egg wrap and a cornish pasty - there were various fillings but chose traditional which was full of good quality ingredients. The pastry was melt-in-the-mouth the best I've had out. The cakes were very good, varied and quite different, such as apple crumble type muffin cakes. All very delicious and will certainly return when in the area.

Merv’s is an excellent bakery. We only buy our bread from Merv’s, because the quality of the bread is excellent. Cakes are delicious too. Would recommend this bakery if in Wymondham.

I pre-ordered 25 homemade sausage rolls to take to work as it was my birthday - 2 types - pork and apple and onion chutney, and picked them up at 8am on the day, still slightly warm. They were extremely well received and several people said they were amazing and the best sausage rolls they had ever had. The doughnuts were very popular too Highly recommended.

Merv's is proper bakery, where everything is made right there, on the premises. They have a fantastic selection of breads to tempt you, but don't overlook the savoury snack selection. The sausage rolls and pastries are lovely! They also do a good selection of home-made sandwiches and baguettes. You need to get there early for the best choice. My favourite is the seafood sandwich - yummy! Just a shame it's also so heavy on the waistline... :(

The bread and cakes at Merv's Hot Bread Kitchen are wonderful and I can certainly recommend popping in for a treat.

Used to go here before I moved from Wreningham. I adore proper bakeries and not ones in supermarkets. As I was passing through after ten years of not going I could not resist. They had other cakes etc on offer but I got bread and it was just as I remembered. Thick lather of Lurpack and Bob's your uncle.

A lovely bakery in the heart of Wymondham. A good selection of products at reasonable prices. Visited today and picked up a lovely Chicken & Bacon Bloomer Sandwich and a Chocolate Brownie slice. Both were fresh and tasted great. I shall be going again soon!
