Really enjoy my fish and chips from here. I order and pay online then go and collect. Very friendly atmosphere and brilliant service.

One of the worst places in the city hair in the chips chicken not cooked

Tried both cod and haddock. The fish were fresh with crisp light thin batter. Portion size was sufficiently good. Fish fillets could do with a little bit more of seasoning. They should serve some vinegar or dip with the fish. Overall a good experience.

I spent £15 in this location and they are so stingy that they don't even give you any dips. I asked for dips and the old lady there said that the dips are in burger... Don't waste your money here, find a better shop. Also the way she speaks to customers it's just disgusting and also there is no salt on the chips. Never ever again in this location, avoid at all cost.

Food was excellent, top nosh, will definitely go back again.

I ordered the chicken wings and chips and requested to change chips to wedges, they agreed like many times before. I got home and found no wedges, I phoned and they said they will give it free next time. I went a few days later, staff were very rude and they said they won’t do it because the boss said so! So even though I already paid for it and they agreed to it they refused to give me what I paid for! Everything we ordered was over cooked anyway and not very nice at all! I spend over £25 each time. They need to learn how to cook food properly and how to treat customers! What a disgusting way to treat a regular customer! Will never be going back!

i gave this a 2 because i called before ordering to ask if the food is halal and they said that it was. i asked more than once and they said yes everything is every time so i ordered and had eaten it all. i then messaged them to ask what the sausage was and they said pork so not happy with this when i dont eat pork as its forbidden

I would never recommend them I went in there and they short changed me. I asked for a large chips I got the smallest portions of chips. The other portion I asked they was a large and the hole of the bottom of the box of chips was scraps. I’m very disappointed I will not be returning.

I have now got cod and fish and chicken several times from here, all excellent. The staff are really helpful. They also do NHS discount. Finally we have some good food in the area.

First time visit to this venue and ordered cod and chips. The fish was excellent and the chips were crisp and plentiful. Staff were really friendly and the shop was spotlessly clean. Very impressed on my first visit and hope to visit many more times.

Been here 5 times and every time it has been excellent. I have skate and chips if they have it but they've run out of it once. Can't fault the place. No idea why people think stuff is reheated, I think they must be from another chip shop. Fairly priced, good value given the quality and quantity. Service is excellent. The best I've been to in Norwich (never been to Grovesnor though!)

The 6oz burger is different to the one I had before, this time it didn’t have mayonnaise sauce and the bread is different too it might be that the business owner is changed and the potatoes wedges isn’t potatoes wedges it look more like roasted potatoes but okay

They hardly seem to be open. Like this evening on their website it says they are but went down there and it was closed?

Delicious food which has improved so much since the new ownership! I don’t know where to start- there’s loads to choose from on the menu; the chips are always crispy and the burgers are to die for 🤤 The homemade coleslaw is a win too! I’d definitely recommend trying this place out!

The manager/senior member of staff failed to wear a mask and was handling food. Given that this is a chip shop based near a hospital during a pandemic, I would have thought that there would have been some consideration for the well-being of the customers. This resulted in me leaving the store before ordering out of fear for my health and the health of the frontline NHS staff member residing in my household. I congratulate the rest of the staff for acknowledging the existence of the virus and wearing a mask, and I pity your potential inability to confront your senior manager for actively being a danger to their customers. ---- EDIT ACKNOWLEDGING REPLY --- After three more visits, I realise that my comment wasn't particularly clear. The failing doesn’t reside in the staff but the manager/senior member of staff. The mask goes over the nose and mouth. If your comfort is more important than the wellbeing of others, maybe it is better suited to not handle the food. I also work long shifts in a small family-ran business but know how wear a piece of cloth on my face properly, it is a small inconvenience that you have taken part in continuing. Please do not patronise me by stating that training has taken place when we both know that the failings resides higher up. If further instructions on how to wear a mask are required, I’m sure one of your employees will be happy to help you.

Rude. Phoned up to see whether they would fry in vegetable oil (for a vegetarian). Simply got a response of 'ring back another time we are too busy..' then they hung up. I've had food there before and it's been half decent (nothing special). But after that response never buying food from there again.

Excellent Fish and Chips. Last week I had a large Cod which was too much for me. Thus this week I had a regular cod and it was plenty. Would highly recommend.

Very good fish and chips, bit pricey

Just got some fish and chips this evening. Absolutely delicious. Batter was golden and crispy, fish was fresh and moist, chips were perfect. Will definitely make this my go to chippy!

Very good meal from there . I asked for them to be for 4 pm but arrived early , started cooking the order straight away highly recommended place to get your fish and chips always hot not like most places.

This place is the absolute boll****. Chips are good, chicken is good, fish is good. They have olives ect. Everything is just great 👍👍

Staff lovely and shop clean but pointless as the chips were inedible hard and dry and the batter on the fish was awful, underdone and with dry fish inside. Sauces cold and vile. Such a disappointment and waste of money. The pie was good but they buy those in.If you want nice fish and chips AVOID

Really good food, have bought several takeaways from here, much prefer it to our local chip shop. Tend to go here if in the area. Handy to park and a Tesco Express next door.

Clean, quick, large portions, not greasy...what more could you ask for in a fish and chip shop? Oh...pleasant and helpful staff, parking outside (free), next door to Tesco's to buy lemon/vineger/ketchup etc....brilliant....and an eating in bar... even more brilliant

Over priced and serve frozen McCain chips. I even heard other customers say the chips tasted horrible which after I tried I agree.

All food is freshly cooked and very responsibly priced. They also do steamed fish if you want it.

I'm not that much of a fish n chips fan but I have to say theirs was superb!! I'll definitely be buying more from them!!

Never been here but Google thinks I have, I am not into fishing, I did try it one but lost all my floats in a tree and the only thing I hooked was my finger. May try again in the future and if I do I will visit this place....

Staff friendly and most welcoming. However, I would advise against buying chips here at lunchtime as they were obviously last night's that had been reheated. Dry, burnt and without any flavour.

First time other half and I went to Go Fish, we had fish and chips, that were cooked fresh and they were amazing! Highly recommend this place to anyone,they were best fish n chips we ever had in Norwich, we will definitely go back again! 5***

My chips were not hot and had been hanging around for some time by the look and taste. Not acceptable to charge full money for a not fresh product cannot recommend

Although we live in Mulbarton, we use this as our 'local'. The choice of food is incredible and if you don't want your fish fried, you can have it grilled with salad. 99 times out of 100 they will cook your order fresh as nothing stays under the counter for long. Not expensive for the quality they provide.

Food prepared to order, so a bit of a wait but can be pre ordered by phone. Good choice of food. Generous portions. Slightly more expensive than some planes but worth it.

Since this establishment opened over a year ago I rated their fish and chips as excellent I have noticed the last 2 times I have visited they are less busy when I got my fish and chips home the fish was ok the chips were inedible they were dry and hard as if they had been kept in the hot box for a very long time Hopefully this is just a blip

A really nice selection of products available here. Alongside traditional fish and chips there are all sorts of lovely things, including salads with grilled fish. Deep fried brie, potato cakes...all sorts.

We had cod and chips and curry sauce. The food was lovely, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Only thing I'd say is the prices were a little high, but you get a good amount of food for what you are paying.

The fish is really fresh and not so oily. The portions are always generous. The staff are very polite, welcoming and professional. They also have the Mediterranean grilled fish option with salad and garlic sauce which is fantastic. Highly recommend

Lovely food, really fresh fish, welcoming attentive staff.

We had cod and chips, mushy peas and onion rings. There was a long wait, I couldn't try the mushy peas as there was no spoon provided, and the chips were DISGUSTING. Pale, soft, floppy and some not even fully cooked. When we complained they laughed and said if they gave us more they would be the same because that's what their chips were like and threw our food in the bin. No refund was offered. The onion rings were excellent and the fish average. We will never be back again to buy overpriced and undercooked food while being mocked.

Tasty food and good portion sizes

We have been here 3 times at least now, and the Haddock & Chips were great, I had no issue with, as good a any I have been to and better than most. Fish batter was nice and crispy and the chips hot, not re-heated. However best chips are twice cooked anyway. Check it out with any chef. Portions were very generous, going back tonight.. Would get 5* but there is always room for improvement, and you can't beat homemade chips!

Visually stunning, orally disappointing. Chips were so/so, nothing special but not bad either, portion size for a chip butty as rather on the small side. (A burger box with large bun filled with chips). The shop itself however is really modern, exceptionally clean and the staff were lovely. Cooked scraps/crispies on asking at no charge which is nice, but the service was very slow for a lunch time visit. Nice that they're open over lunch and accept card payments, which is critical for me. Very greasy batter which was practically flavourless. The meat in the sausages tasted very odd, almost like it was going off, which is surprising given how bang up to date the decor is.

Not fresh never again, also they have a strange fresh counter selling same things but double the price.

Awful reheated chips won't be going there again.
