Mergan's The Terrace in Lambeth

Back for another visit now the weather is improving and likely to become a favourite as a pleasant outdoorish venue but under cover and heated too. Very friendly staff, helpful and chatty which is always welcome in London, and good value healthy veggie and vegan food options. Only criticism is that the sole toilet needs some money spent on it to bring it up to 21st century standards and hygiene standards - apart from that, a recommended stop off if you are near or on Clapham Common.

Part of a popular new restaurant chain, this is a wide open terrace, covered and with outdoor heaters, next to Clapham Common and its skateboard park. Serving modern light healthy dishes, coffee and alcohol. Popular with groups, couples, friends and dog owners at different times of the day. A short walk from Clapham Common tube station, or a longer walk from Clapham South tube, served by buses as well.
