Mercer Roof Terrace in City of London, Westminster

Reservamos esto en el último minuto. Estábamos buscando un lugar para tener una comida de cumpleaños sofisticado, pero a media tarde, ya que teníamos un año de edad con nosotros. Éramos cinco, incluyendo al bebé. El personal no podría haber sido más servicial y amable e incluso saludó y sonrió al bebé constantemente durante todo el tiempo. El servicio era impecable y la comida era deliciosa. Los cócteles también eran fantásticos. La decoración es muy agradable y resultó ser el lugar ideal para ir para un almuerzo de cumpleaños muy tarde / cena de cumpleaños muy temprano.

Qué hermoso restaurante / bar. Impresionante desde el momento en que entras. Un gran escenario para el té de la tarde, elegimos el Crown Afternoon que era muy juguetón, los detalles eran impresionantes y sabrosos. Era una tarde soleada en octubre. Tan decepcionado, el personal parecía que no querían estar allí, el camarero que nos atendió no podía abrir una botella de vino y tenía a alguien más ayudar. él, mala formación, he estado en la industria de la restauración durante 40 años, y no me gustaría tirar un restaurante debajo del autobús. Vinimos aquí, mis hijas eligieron para su comida familiar de 21 cumpleaños, solo cuatro de nosotros. La comida estaba fría, el pato estaba perfectamente cocinado. Las tortas de cangrejo eran pesadas y pegajosas, y de color marrón oscuro por dentro, de nuevo frías por fuera cálidas por el medio, así que supongo que pueden haber sido calentadas en el microondas. Las vistas desde la terraza eran preciosas y teníamos una mesa dentro cerca de la ventana, así que estábamos en una buena mesa. El cóctel de gambas estaba lleno de gambas en un vaso alto de sundae, y a mi hija le dieron un cuchillo y un tenedor para comer esto con , donde personalmente pensé que una cuchara y un tenedor serían mejores. De postre tuve que pedir un tenedor, solo que dado una cuchara , el postre era un budín de chocolate vegano encantador pero difícil de pasar con solo una cuchara. Creo que al personal le vendría bien una mejor capacitación, al final de nuestra comida mientras recogíamos nuestros abrigos no había interacción con el miembro del personal, se sentía como si quisieran que nos fuéramos. Una comida muy cara para lo que tuvimos, lo siento pero no voy a volver muy insatisfecho.

Me encantó! Excelente servicio de todo el personal de principio a fin. Empezamos con un G&T en el bar, antes de tomar el Crown Afternoon Tea. Los sabores son algunos de los mejores que he tomado en un té de la tarde (elegí el vegetariano y mi amigo tenía la estera / estándar) y los pasteles estaban deliciosos. Elegimos la opción de 3 bebidas de cóctel que hizo un buen cambio y complementó la comida. El personal era muy atento y amable. Mi amigo debe haber mencionado que era mi cumpleaños al hacer la reserva, así que el personal amablemente sacó un postre de cumpleaños que era encantador. Habíamos reservado una mesa en el bar speakeasy DND después y uno de los camareros nos mostró y trajo el postre con nosotros. En general, un día encantador y sin duda volvería a visitar.

Visitamos este restaurante el sábado por la tarde para nuestro almuerzo de aniversario. Cuenta con vistas del horizonte de Londres, sin embargo, los asientos en la azotea eran limitados y la terraza real no estaba abierta (era un poco aburrido, pero no llovía). Nos pareció que el diseño no era adecuado para el propósito. Por lo tanto, nos sentamos dentro del cual, para ser honestos, sentimos que podríamos haber estado sentados en cualquier lugar. La vista parecía muy alejado de nuestra experiencia gastronómica. La comida era agradable, pero la experiencia para lo que era; ¿£ 22 para quiche y ensalada? Disfrutamos de nuestra comida, pero no nos fuimos con ganas de volver.

Vine por el té de la tarde. Grandes sabores y bollos pero los pasteles son un triunfo del diseño sobre el gusto. Sobre todo un poco enfermizo y sin sabor real. Hubiera preferido un buen bizcocho fresco personalmente. El servicio era irregular. No parecía que tuviéramos un camarero específico, así que varias personas preguntaron lo mismo o se olvidaron de nosotros por completo. El té vino sin leche ni azúcar. Solo un plato a pesar de que uno de los sabores es la carne de res en un mini budín de Yorkshire con salsa bastante desordenada, que luego se esperaba que comiera pastel. Bastante caro para lo que era, £ 117 para dos incluyendo el servicio.

Wonderful views of St. Paul’s, especially at sunset. Excellent food and attentive staff. We went for our anniversary and they gave us a wonderful table and special dessert.

Great place, I took my Daughter there for her birthday, big Thank you to Emma who arranged the Birthday treat. All the staff were great, very friendly and the food was superb, I had the biggest Prawn Cocktail ever, really packed with prawns. Will definitely be going again when I'm next in London.

Spent the evening with friends. The setting is fantastic with lovely views of the shard and St Paul. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Food was great too and relatively good value considering the setting.

This restaurant is on the top floor of a 5-star boutique hotel near Bank Station. Even though there was no sign for the restaurant, the hotel receptionist told us (not too courteously) that the restaurant was on the top floor. The atmosphere changed as we were warmly greeted by the restaurant staff, who offered us the chance to sit inside or outside. We picked outside and were happy with our choice: even though the night was slightly chilly, there were - thankfully! - well-placed infrared heaters that kept us warm without spoiling the atmosphere. I loved the intimate feel and the fact that it wasn't your classic roof terrace with dozens of tables stacked against each other and 200 people. The food was good, but nothing impressive, which left me a bit puzzled considering the prices and the setting (we ended up spending about £100 for 2 nibbles, a main and a dessert). However, I appreciated the fairly wide choice and some less conventional options. Service was less formal than I expected (compared to similar restaurants), though I appreciated that all waiters were genuinely nice, while still keeping professional. It made the evening even more pleasant. The tempura artichokes were particularly nice, while the charcuterie board was quite basic and not worth the price, both in terms of quality and quantity. The beef was fairly nice and so was the dessert. It's a great place to go to if delicious food is not necessarily a priority. The terrace is lovely and so is the staff. Considering the whole experience as the main thing, I would go back. (this review was also shared by me on other sites)

This rooftop needs a complete refresh of its menu and staff training on customer service is necessary. We booked this place for my husband’s 40th birthday and what a disappointment it was. Which is a huge shame as we were recommended it by friends. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to its standards. The rooftop itself is set in a wonderful location, but that’s where everything else stops. The waitress didn’t understand what food intolerances meant, and treated everything as an allergy. Instead of recommending what I could have, she constantly said ‘No’ - when I asked her to check with the chef she stood there looking confused. Then another person came to table to ask about this and when I explained that it was only intolerances I had, she understood and then our food came. Starters were ok. Mains - not good at all. Don’t bother with the steak! They say it’s t-bone, it’s rump for £38. The salad it comes with is awful. We asked for the bill straight after we finished. The waiter came to the table to take payment, which we gave in cash. He stood there counting the notes in front of us, not a good look for a restaurant. It’s a massive shame as I wanted this place to be perfect for my husband’s 40th and disappointed us greatly.

Lovely setting. Staff didn't seem that consistent in terms of service. Booked a table with a request for outside via open table. Hold on arrival they couldn't find booking despite us having email confirmation. Not apologetic at all. Staff arrived to take our order by just saying 'food order' - no courtesy and when food arrived the waiter didn't speak just started putting dishes randomly in front of people without asking what they ordered. Very bizarre. Sometimes they would come and pour the wine, but other times when we ordered a new bottle and our glasses were empty they would just open the bottle and leave it in the wine cooler. Great find for lunch. Booked at the last minute, arrived early and got a great table in the sun. Service was attentive, food was generous in terms of portion size and the bill was what you'd expect to pay for the location, food and drinks. Definitely recommend for a rooftop experience in London,

Absolutely loved everything about this venue. It was a chilly day, but we were kept warm on the roof terrace under heaters. It is a lovely spot, tucked down a cobbled street, small and intimate with great views of the shard, and roof of St Paul's Cathedral. The food was excellent, each and every dish, we all had three courses. The staff were very polite and attentive and great ambience. Will definitely be going back.

Always looking for a fun place to enjoy the first Spring sunshine, I booked The Crown afternoon tea served on the delightful Mercer Roof Terrace and what a treat ! Jewelled like dainty pastries celebrating the Royal Family with a special mention to the delicious Raspberry & Orange Blossom Sovereign's Orb and the Apple & Blackberry Stamp. Nice selection of savoury sandwiches. Friendly and relaxed table. Such a lovely and creative way to celebrate the Coronation while enjoying the view ! I will be back !

OMG, I went there for my Birthday. Such a romantic place, it was our first time there. Our waitress was very friendly and made our experience there awesome. The food was delicious and well presented. The ambiance was cool and relaxed, the view from the roof top was the highlight for us. I can imagine the sunset in the summer would be something special. Had a really lovely time and would definitely go there again.

This restaurant is a must-visit for its breathtaking view and delicious food. However, my experience was marred by an incident where I ordered a second bottle of the Minuty, but was instead served a cheaper rose that cost £20 less. I would expect my waiter to be constantly topping up the wine for price and level of service expected. To make matters worse, the cheaper wine was poured into glasses that were still full of the previous wine. When I brought this to the waiter's attention, I expected some sort of compensation, but was disappointed to see no discount on the final bill. The waiter offered a weak excuse of just waking up, which did not alleviate my frustration. Despite this hiccup, I would still recommend this restaurant for its stunning ambiance and delectable dishes, just don’t order two bottles of wine!

Nice experience. Salmon and prawn starters were nice. Mains were also nice - good portion size, interesting flavours. Location is convenient, view is nice - can see the cathedral a bit, feels cosy and cool. Service is good.

Booked the venue to have a Christmas meal with friends with London skyline, as we all live away from London. But was given a table facing the bar and a wall on opposite side. I chose this restaurant as I wanted a roof top restaurant for a special night with my partner. Mercer Rooftop Terrace did not disappoint! The views are amazing, you’re in central London but it feels peaceful, the staff were very friendly and the food is amazing!
