Memo Wall Japanese Cuisine in Portsmouth

I did not personally go here instead getting a delivery however I must say the food is amazing and the delivery times were very fast. With service and food like that I can only guess the atmosphere there must be amazing.

A great Japanese eatery. Simple, efficient, focusing on the most important point - tasty food. By far the best Japanese restaurant in the city and far beyond. Unpretentious and excellent.

Absolutely the best place in Portsmouth to explore the true Japanese cousine! Cozy atmosphere, great hospitality, delicious food and very reasonable prices - is exactly what you will find here! The place is run by a Japanese family, so all the food made there is 100% genuine. Ukrainians who are still trying to find delicious sushi in the UK: your search ends in this city ;-)

Great place, decorations, sushi, and nice people to boot. Wasn't expecting this kind of shop on my way through Portsmouth but I'll certainly be back!

The person who was at the reception didn't know anything, I got a parking ticket because the receptionist didn't know the car park was not below them.

The best sushi I've ever had, the service was amazing, the staff were so friendly and really patient in describing the different types of dishes I ordered the sushi platter, there was a great variety and the food was really fresh.

You must visit Memo Wall Japanese Cuisine if you want to enjoy the real taste of Japan. Highly recommended and definitely will visit again. Also, don’t forget to try the Hong Kong style milk tea 👍

Amazing place!!! Food is incredible, clean and hearty. The staff are so so friendly and really nice and the atmosphere is great! Genuinely so much to see here and experience in such a small place. I can't reccomend enough going out of your comfort zone and having something a little exciting! But if you want to play it safe they do all the classics too. I highly recommend a rice bowl! The gyoza is good and the sushi is fantastic.

Memo Wall is a fantastic little place. I've had food from here twice now (once in store and once delivery) and both times it was brilliant. The salmon rice bowl is divine and the salmon skin nigirimeshi is one of the nicest things I've eaten in a while. The food is reasonably priced and comes in good portions, and the staff are polite and friendly. I would thoroughly recommend anyone who likes Japanese food to eat here.

A lovely relaxed and family feel, you really do have an experience like visiting a good friend. Food is FANTASTIC across the board, I will definitely be coming back and I encourage you to pop along too.

Was in cascades and decided to give memo wall a go. Right from the start the customer service was impecable. The food was great as well (would highly recommend the takoyaki 😋). And sticking to their name there is a wall full of notes written by customers. Definitely will be going again.

We kinda randomly came across Memo Wall and were invited to taste some of their Sushi. The staff was so friendly and we had a great lunch. The Katsu Chicken Rice bowl was amazingly filling. We also liked how the staff walked around with tips on how to enjoy the food the best. We will definitely visit again.

Excellent sushi! Service was stellar too. The Hong Kong milk tea is very authentic too, good depth of flavour and smooth taste.

Absolutely wonderful service and the atmosphere makes you feel like home. Plenty of food options along with reasonable prices, not to mention the authentic taste of various sushi and curry dishes. Highly recommended to anyone who likes Japanese food, and I'll definitely come back again in future.

I tried sushi before and hated it, came down to Portsmouth for work and was stopped on the street before they opened up the shop, I must say this sushi is now my favourite meal I’m from wales and heading back down there just for the food! See you soon guys!

I happened to walk past the restaurant today and they offered to do a delivery - even though it was a bit further than they would normally deliver. The food was amazing - top quality presentation and taste. Will be ordering again in the future without a doubt!

I walked around the streets of Portsmouth and was pleasantly surprised to find a Japanese restaurant. The food quality is very good, the sashimi is so fresh, and the grilled sushi series is amazing! often! good! Food! Very pleasant surprise! The chef (boss) grilled the sushi, it was really pleasing to the eye! The eel bowl is delicious! You guys should be so considerate in decorating, the bowls are so pretty, you can see how thoughtful they are! The most important thing is that the boss is nice, attentive and considerate. My whole family is very happy! It is worth mentioning the vinegar mackerel sushi, it tastes good, has a good texture, and is super delicious! Memo Wall is the best and highest quality Japanese food I have ever tasted in the UK! Worth recommending!

The shop is very clean and hygienic, give it a try Called left beef udon and sashimi, there are pictures and the truth The sashimi is so fresh, sweet and plump, very satisfying The udon is so smooth. It uses pork bone soup base. The children made 𠽌𠽌 sounds when they ate it. They were so happy. Laoxi Zaoyan's Hong Kong-style milk tea was a perfect end to the meal. The boss is patient and the service is good (I was very patient when ordering the food) The food is of high quality! I will definitely help you again! Come on💪🏻

Best sushi I have eaten in the England! The rice is much more soft and delicious then the other sushi restaurants. The sashimi is fresh and tasty. This is a large nigiri set for one person which can serve for two people. Highly recommended to my friends!

The Gentleman at the front of the restaurant was very polite and brought a smile to my face. I love Japanese food. First time I had raw salmon, it was very pleasant and was so fresh. The Miso soup is a die for. Being a Diabetic type 2 The Gentleman was able to cater for my needs. Fast food with the health benefits 😋🤤😃
