Dont order from here not worth it effort they have excuses for the world and they always have excuses for low quality food orders not fulfilled

Not been out for a while to a restaurant for indian food. This place was recommended by a friend. We visited recently and I have to say it is probably the best indian cuisine I have tasted in a while. The place isn't too big or glamorous and you would walk by it if you didn't know it was there. Overall good food, fair price and great service! Will visit again soon. The beer is not too bad and reasonably priced.

When you drive/walk along the Melton Road, you'd right past this place in a hearbeat. Don't. Food is really, seriously good. I've lost count over the years of how many curries I've had on various nights out - most of which have been absolutely forgettable. This one - not so. Dining alone whilst travelling, you don't feel out of place, service is good, but food is superb. Had lamb Rogan Josh and it was 10/10. No horrible burpy after-taste and cooked over half an hour from scratch - as a good curry should be. I don't get up that way very often - but when I do........!

this restaurant isn't glamourous but the service and food is good. it's a small place offering authentic indian food. great if you want value for money.

Amazing food quality - I haven’t been there since the lockdown and just went on 22nd July with son. Palla - as always with a big smile and open arms came to us and welcomed us. The food was fantastic - we are typical high expecting Indians looking for good Indian cooking - the Melton Bar and Grill chefs did not disappoint us - we ordered the Masala Fish, Egg Sizzler, and Chicken Tawa - absolutely amazing. Thank you to Palla and his team for great food. I will recommend to anyone who is looking for great authentic Indian Sizzers and Curries.

Had an excellent evening again at the Melton. The welcome from all the staff and customers was great. An exceptional pint of Carling is served here and in the correct glass. Food is the best I have ever tasted. The owner is a tremendous host. Keep up the good work.

this place is always the best to have fun with friends and family. always go here and end up going to the restaurant upstairs. nice and friendly staff.

Told the owner who looks like he may have fell on his face a few times on how bad his beer is and how bad the food being served is but he laughed it off.Not a clean place to eat at! Found out that there’s a lot of people who avoid this place like a bad smell and stories about the owner which I cannot put on this review were shocking. No surprise that there was no moral duty to treat customers with respect.Avoid if you have Family.

I went to this restaurant with friends, amazing food and amazing service by Vicky. Would definitely come again, and the paneer sizzler is just superb! Cracking little find on melton road.

I would not recommend this place to anyone, All my family who ate non vegetarian food all got severe food poisoning.

the food was very bad and the meet go off and the veg food so bad that so i would never go there aggan now so i would gave the place 5/10 only now

Visited this place last week whilst in the area as it was recommended by a local!, built above a brick building, no windows, dark, smelly.... kitchen downstairs with chef's fresh off the Banana boat....as you walk past there is a stairway leading you upstairs to the so-called restaurant, best way to describe the restaurant is like a brick shed with a few cheap tables and chairs, two customers sitting there going through a phase of depression and complete shock with their mouths wide open as we walked in. Staff were in shock as to why we were there (2 adults and one child)... walked out within 3 minutes.... Comical....

Fantastic food served by great staff. The staff make you feel welcome and cared for. There is a good quantity of both meat and vegetarian dishes on the menu, would definitely recommend the Masala Fish Sizzler, Chicken 65 and Crispy Chicken. Also would recommend booking a table in advance, particularly on Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's.

One stop destination for food lovers. Sizzlers are best here. Range of varieties under one roof. Satisfied with services.

This place used to be amazing, the staff and food was always on point. Not sure what has happened but both food and staff have let the place fall away. After the meal, I was up at 3.30am with stomach pains. Not sure if I will be visiting again.....

We have been here several times now after the renovation. Service is always really good and we love the food! sizzlers are awesome! and value for money. Can get quite noisy at weekends. Overall a great little place.

I visit the Melton AKA gpsy! Every friday with my father. I thought they deserve some feedback. We get looked after very well, food is always fresh and made to our taste. My mother is pure vegetarian, so they make her food to taste and they cook all of their vegetarian food seperately to the non-veg! A few personal items that stand out to me are the Lamb Kebabs/Pili Pili Egg Sizzler/Egg Biryani/Jeera Chicken and Mogo (Cassava Chips) I would go as far as saying their mogo is the best i have had! Crispy on the outide, soft in the middle and always so nice and fresh. Bhupendra and Jaydeep are very helpeful.

This Pub has Bullies... Avoid at all cost! You will be treated like scum and its a joke to the Owner. Been a few times before but now seen enough!!

The takeaway menu prices are same as restaurant menu prices so why do they have takeaway menu? Might as well eat at their restaurant and let the waiter do all the services and get them to wash the dishes just want this to be brought up to their attention . But food is good so no complain there.

Went here to Celebrate and 50th birthday party after being let down else where, there where eleven of us on a Friday night just after half seven but a quick call here and they could take us so off we went.How ever parking close by was a bit of an issue but we did find a spot,we had a selection of starter which where all enjoyed and several curries and naan followed we took our own pud which they brought out candles a light as well.

So last night i decided to call Melton resteraunt. Been there before and food was good. Tried calling and nobody answers. Then see that there is an online booking service available.I thought ...Great . So booked a table for 3 at 8pm for tonight. Get there for 8pm on the dot. Show them my confirmation email and reminder email to show booking reference. And the waiter comes back saying we don't do online booking. I told him that it's on their website. He was adamant that they didn't take online bookings. Guys sort your website out. Or answer the damn phone. And hire staff that know what they are doing. Very disappointed and thanks for ruining the evening.

Visited this place randomly with family and friends. Was greeted by a friendly waiter who couldn't do enough for us. Drinks were very cheap. Food did take a while to arrive but was cooked fresh and tasted amazing. Reasonably priced and portions were huge.

The service was lovely. Staff very friendly and caring HOWEVER the food was shockingly poor. Took forever to come and when it did it was not cooked very well and worst of all, had NO flavour to make you think you are eating an Indian meal. I am not one not to pay for a meal but I would rather have set fire to my cash than eat here. I cook better food than this at home with a jar of curry paste! I could not be bothered to wait another 40 minutes for a starter so just paid up and walked out. NEVER EVER AGAIN. Real shame because the staff seemed so polite and caring but I would not eat here again ever. Rather go down the road to the Queen or Bally.

Went with my partner here for dinner, service at the restaurant was friendly and very organised. Food was cooked to a high standard and came out looking well presented - tasted even better then it looked. Would definitely recommend this place - its good for couples, families and friends as the atmosphere is warm.

This place does not disappointed. Ordered dishes we have not ordered before and no complaints. Saturday nights are busy so suggest you book in advance.

Was a random visit with friends when another restaurant we went was to had a notice saying closed for a fortnight. Comfortable sitting, good quality food, good sized portions and comparatively cheap. Impressed with every item we had ordered. Will definitely go again and I have no hesitation recommending this restaurant to anyone. The restaurant has a 5 star Food Hygiene Certificate.

Excellent food with reasonable price. For beer we had to go downstairs and bring upstairs which is not appropriated when half way of dinner. They should employ more Staff. Otherwise staff are friendly.

Ordered Take away from here a couple of times. Food is tasty and fresh. Staff could be a bit more friendly but I guess they were busy that day so they were rushed. Would order from here again

I have visited this place on many occasions and could not wait to hold a business meeting in a different way unlike usual boring meeting in a compact room.Customer service were outstanding! Food tasted so good! Value for moneyYes! Will and are reccommending otheer as I speak!

Straight to the point.I visited the restaurant for takeaway.. and I am always concerned about quality of food. I am very pleased to say a very clean kitchen, no mess... every material handled with care and hygiene..Very impressed with quality of food, price and the portion.Food taste very good, full of flavour.Will visit again with family

Amazing food, great portion sizes, extremely tasty and authentic! Pala is a great host and always makes you feel welcome. Highly recommended. We go back regularly when in Leicester!

I had specifically visited the Melton based on a recommendation from a work colleague> I must say I was fairly impressed with the food - the sizzler starters are big and very good value. The food was all great and the staff very polite. Did have to wait quite a while for poppadoms which came at the same time as the sizzler starters, which was not what we asked.The only real negative was a group of 5 men in the opposite corner, one of whom was very loud and swore frequently to the point that my 6 year old step-daughter wanted to know why that man said the F-word so much. I know this is not necessarily the restaurants fault but it is something that they should maybe keep on top of... it should not be ignored by an establishment that is allowing children to eat. The conversation topics were inappropriate for a restaurant with children in at 7o'clock in the evening and it was quite awkward until said party leftOn the whole a very good visit although I would be reluctant to take the children again. I feel like the environment let the visit down slightly and it's the restaurants responsibility to manage its clientèle to an appropriate level of expectation, which unfortunately they didn't. I would expect that kind of language and behaviour at 10:00 o'clock Saturday night but not tea-time on a Wednesday. That said, I can't fault the food quality which was spot on.

Quick last minute meal. Had a sizzler and a table naan. 4 of us are for £18 including drinks. Can't complain.

We normally eat here every few weeks, food is really good. Prices are excellent, would highly recommend. Service is slow so make sure u allow enough time if you do decide to go.

Another great food night. Dishes tasted different, hot and freshly made. Service quick and efficient.

I came here with my mum and dad and the service along with the food was great! Ok its not a lavish place but if you just want some good food at a good price then this is worth a visit. From outside it looks just a pub that you may not visit with family but the restaurant entrance is at the side and it's a family restaurant so ok to take children. We had the sizzler for starters and they were spicy and tasty! Great service! I would definitely return and recommend to others too.

We went to this restaurant which is now refurbished and food quality was to our liking. Found no fault or had any problems would go again.

Tried this place after it's revamp. Now has a large seating area upstairs in a annex adjoining the pub. Had a 2 course meal. Large portions and try the table naan. Large naan was enough for 4 of us. Plenty of food for what we paid. Staff around all the time and food was served quite quickly. Definite return on the books for us.
